{ROM-RETAIL} Trippin Bean - Droid RAZR M Android Development

>>This ROM was created by marxman3<<

Here is version 3. It's CM10 based. I have inverted most of the apps, inserted custom wallpaper, added a few ringtones, found a bad ass boot animation, and included an Apex theme and Theme chooser theme to give it a completely blacked out look. The clock, calendar and keyboard are 4.2. It has full init.d support and tweaks, build prop enhancements and other goodies.
Credit and thanks belongs to:
The hive for hosting
KDH for the base for the Gapps
Hashcode and Dhacker for basically everything that lets us do this
JaeKar99 for the bootanimation
Sparkyman for building Axiobeam, porting it to the OG razr and setting the bar so damn high for me!
I haven't found an issue with this build. It doesn't mean it's perfect, just the stuff I use works......let me know what bugs you find if you want them addressed.
Instructions (I'm using safestrap 3.05.20)
1. Download the ROM and Gapps (the gapps will only work with this specific ROM
http://androidhosting.org/14~f
2. Boot into recovery
3. Make Nandroid
4. Wipe cache, dalvik, data and system
5. Flash ROM and Gapps
6. Reboot
7. Once the phone grabs a signal set up your accounts
8. Reboot
9. Chill for 10 minutes or so
10. Reboot
11. Profit
The multiple reboots may seem like overkill, but trust me, letting the rom settle matters. Patience is a virtue.

Im getting an error " set_perm - some changes failed " status 7 error ... googled it out and it said to try downloading the rom again. but i downloaded again and did md5 check and it was same. not sure whats wrong. Im using my daily rom in slot1 and im trying to flash on my stock slot. i wipe cache dalvik cache factory reset and system but i cant wipe data. it says cannot wipe data. please help im stuck and out of ideas.

I don't think you can flash to the stock slot... there is a method of flashing to slot 1, making a backup of rom slot 1, then restore that back to stock rom slot. I haven't tried it but i saw it on droidrzr.

I ment using SS Yea you can flash anything to stock if you're using TWRP or cwm. But in SS if you try to restore cm10 to stock slot it just boot loops out of curiosity does your 4g work on cm10? Mine never seemed to kick in

Both have same base CM10 ROM, but I believe the reference roms are different. V5 doesn't have 4G working and V4 does. V5 has some cool new features but I would take function over feature.

V5 is still a WIP and not near 'final' where V4 is, so in a V5 build you have CM10 inherent issues as well as MIUI inherent ones, V4 has no functionality issues beside soft-keys atm.

[ROM 4.4] Clean AOSP Kit-Kat Build!

Just decided to post this build I made because I am overeager. works perfectly fine so far with multirom! Completely untested and build with 4.3 vendor files, so I wouldn't recommend using it as a daily driver. enjoy!
Build: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByVfzzD831QieXA4UkV1bzBoa1U/edit?usp=sharing
Gapps: Semi-Working Gapps here (not my work just found it by googling)
FYI: I built this as a base for a new custom ROM I am working on, so good things well beyond stock are to come!
Enjoy!
Notes: According to users in this thread as well as the PA AOSP thread, Stock TWRP does NOT work for 4.4. CWM and the modified TWRP used for multirom DOES. This is a COMPLETELY separate build straight from AOSP 4.4 sources and is NOT just a copy of the PA AOSP zip. To install as a secondary ROM, install as normal but don't share kernel.

I just used multirom to setup clean as a secondary rom, but I would assume a clean flash should work. no need to update bootloader or recovery though! you can give dirty flash a try, worst case it doesnt work
Yeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssss!
Thanks, downloading and flashing now, gonna take a risk and use as a daily driver for a few days, hopefully by then, lets say Sunday or Monday another better stable ROM should be out

[ROM] Totally unofficial CM11

So, I compiled CM11 for our device.
You can download it here:
http://www.spice.net.au/razrm/CM11/
Seems video playback is broken. Other stuff seems to work OK.
You will need an appropriate gapps - this one seems to work OK
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23212708291678578
PLEASE NOTE:
The build.prop in this zip is hacked for the International version of the phone - If you are on Verizon you may need to change the settings back.
These are the changes I have made:
Verizon Setting / International GSM setting
telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=1 / telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=0
ro.telephony.default_network=10 / ro.telephony.default_network=3
ro.telephony.gsm-routes-us-smsc=1 / ro.telephony.gsm-routes-us-smsc=0
telephony.rilV7NeedCDMALTEPhone=true / telephony.rilV7NeedCDMALTEPhone=false
ro.cdma.subscribe_on_ruim_ready=true / ro.cdma.subscribe_on_ruim_ready=false
Enjoy!
UPDATE: New build available for download. This has also been modified for the International GSM model.
26/11 - LATEST UPDATE INCLUDES 192Mhz MIN CPU SPEED AND SOME UNDER-VOLTING.

I'm guessing the video issue is contained to CM releases? (GZR release of unofficial CM11 is also having video issues)
Seems Pure AOSP 4.4 has working video. (Though Camera is only working on 11/08 build of that. Later builds have broken camera)

Cant flash until tomorrow night when im near my tab. Id like to request a Volume mod ahead of time tho. This tablet is so quite that me and my girl watch movies and shows on my s4 bcuz we cant even hear it on the the tablet. Definitely a big deal. Makes the tablet useless without a really loud volume boost.
Thanks in advance

I deleted some apk's from the zip to make it lighter, than just installed with CWM.
I had some difficulties with my recovery (CWM) though and had to reflash stock recovery with Odin.
Had to factory reset through stock recovery, than works flawlessly.
The rom zip is perfect imho, just need to clarify my recovery situation...
Maybe our CWM is not perfect, or I should try TWRP.
....so far so good!

I think in the light version You could leave AllShare* sCloud* with unnesessary Samsung stuff and dropbox apk's out. Maybe leave in just the very basic gapps like play services and store, becaue gmail, yt and so constantly upgrading.

I could drop it to 350-400MB and I will fix the SU Binary for the lite version.

For now I fixed it by installing UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94.zip within CWM
Tomorrow I leave a post with the list of the apk's that I already removed from the zip or frozen with TB

Most details are there. Nothing really removed at all. All changes are there. I've seen other roms claim to remove OTA updates but that wasn't 100% accurate. I will update the rom soon though to remove a couple unnecessary things such as T-Mobile's spyware.
Any chance you can share the mod for front camera recording?

I totally misread your request. Lol for some reason I thought you requested a stock camera zip. Anyways, I have another thread here in the development section with a rooted stock system image. That'll do what you want.
