FAQ:
[Q] Pons, why are you compiling your own? Why don't we get official CM10.1 goodness?
[A] Well, now, why don't you take a gander at this: CyanogenMod: CM 9+, N1 (and other S1 SoC)
[Q] Gee, Pons, this here looks fun. How do I compile it myself?
[A] Here ya go, lil guy. Just follow these instructions: How to Compile CM10.1 for the Inc (if you encounter any issues using this to compile, please report here so I can troubleshoot and update if need be)
[Q] Why did you disappear?
[A] Long story short, my computer broke right before I went on a business trip. Now I'm stuck on a side of mountain, but only have a 256kbps internet, which has a lot of filters on it (I actually can't download from Goo.im; I have to ssh into my profile to download.)
[Q] Well, that doesn't sound pleasant. Are you back for good?
[A] Maybe, maybe not. Some good people are allowing me to use their build box, so that's how I'm maintaining right now. I'll keep it up, till I get moved again, or they decide to revoke my access.
[Q] Oh. That's cool. Onto what really matters: how often are you going to update?
[A] Will shoot for weekly, or bi-weekly (if major changes come out). The internet is painfully slow, and I don't want to abuse the build bot access I was given. Or until I move or get revoked access.
Credits/Thanks
All credit goes to Cyanogen and the rest of the CM team, and especially our HTC Incredible maintainers, as listed by the CyanogenMod site: jistone (aka CUViper/This Guy), slayher, and of course, koush. Of course, don't forget about the Evervolv team, who have given our outdated qsd8k device a lot of love, despite being dropped by CM.
In addition, tiny4579 for his incredikernel, and for helping with my builds while I'm away.
For some reason, I have received several requests to put a donation link in my profile. You can always donate to the CyanogenMod project or the Evervolv project, but if you feel you HAVE to donate to me, I've put a link in my profile, and all donations will go towards upgrading my computer, so I can stay on top of this for CM10.2/11/and beyond.
Footnote: This thread is a WIP. I will probably restructure it and try to make it look pretty, and I might add a Q&A thread, depending on how many inane and repetitive questions I get that take away from development. I also didn't include any Launcher screen shots, since that is the easiest thing to change and theme. And I see that people have already tried the ROM, since I have 4 downloads so far, and 1 was me. Thoughts/problems?

Reserved....
Particularly let me know if there are any crippling bugs (or bugs period) that differ from what is listed as the known issues, and from tiny's.
Also, any issues with the embedded Superuser? It has had minimal testing, despite being put together by a ninja coder, Koush, and that is one reason it has not made it into CM10.1 Nightlys.

Great to have you back Pons. I'm having zero issues the new su. It seems to boot a little faster.

It should boot a tiny bit faster, as well as su access being better/quicker. It's now an integrated part of Settings, as opposed to a separate app.
Bear in mind that Superuser is still a work in progess. Superuser and binary itself have 0 issues (that I can tell) as far as granting, prompting, denying, etc, but the app needs a little UX work. For instance, go into Settings > Superuser. Click the little icon at the very bottom, this opens up the log. Click the icon in the bottom left, and this does nothing. Koush is aware of these issues, and will correct them when he gets around to it. I'm more interested in if it (or Settings) FC, or if something is not getting root.
A user said:
there seems to be some UX inconsistency in the app. When i click on the log button it brings me into the log, which is fine. However, the button immediately becomes redundant in that said screen. It has no function whatsoever.
Also, i thought there should be a back function tied to the icon so that i can return to the main screen... no?

Is there a way someone could work on the offline voice to text ? Is this going to replace tinys cm10.1 ROM ? Nice work!

Completely wiped phone, EMMC, SD. Took the opportunity to install TWRP, and had a blast playing around with it (used your .zip from that thread). Installed this ROM and Tiny's 2/7/13 GAPPS.
I'm not sure what issues will pop up from the flash-over crowd, but clean install was a flawless process. You guys keep giving me reasons to carry this phone. Well played, by everyone involved.

If you make enough room in the system partition and copy the correct libraries into the gapps zip before flashing offline dictation should work. It does on Tiny's, at least.
Out of curiosity, is there about significant difference between this and Tiny's? Pretty much just superuser?

As far as the end user is concerned? There's that and the status bar battery mod, one of my favorite tweaks since my CM7 days. I don't know exactly what tiny throws in his, but I put in a couple of security hardening picks that most/all users won't notice or feel.

Probably not. Tiny and I generally work together to make CM10.1 better for the Inc. I opened this thread because I can compile and tweak stuff when tiny's busy, but I can't really test it myself. I don't have data, wifi, or gps on my phone where I'm at, and it takes me 3-5 hours to download each ROM. So I opened this to get a wider range of testers.

It works if you put the files into place, just like on Tiny's ROM. I modified Tiny's gapps, removed some stuff I didn't want and added in the offline files. I still have to delete some stuff from the ROM to make room for the offline files, so my gapss aren't share-worthy. But it works for me.

No issues here. I did wipe /system (due to the way I install gapps with offlinevoice to text files) and cache (for good measure) before installing, but I didn't wipe any data.

Never really used it. From what I remember, though, it's a kernel tweak that chad put in. Tiny forked his tree, so unless tiny reverted the commit (which I doubt), it should still be in there (internet is way too slow for me to go digging around randomly). As for how to verify it's working, I completely forget. I'm vaguely sure a way does exist beyond watching it charge quickly, but can't remember.

Fastcharge is definitely an option in the kernel that ships with the ROM. It's off by default but the free incredicontrol can enable it. The only thing it does is enable the full charge speed for USB connections which is risky if it comes from a PC as the PC USB ports are only designed for 500mah of current. I've done it safely and i actually have fastcharge USB on by default on my inc but I still have to throw out the warning to be careful.
As far as verifying there are a few ways:
1. Check the value of /sys/kernel/fast_charge/fast_charge_usb. It's 1 for on and 0 for off.
2. Monitor mA current on USB charging and if it's over 500 mA then fast charge USB is working.
3. Check the kernel log in terminal ater plugging the phone into a USB connection, it should report switch charger (Fast) at the bottom.
su
dmesg | grep "Switch charger"

I am a big fan of fastcharge. Although battery health could be a factor, I am suspicious that both fastcharge and DSP manager have gone the way of budweiser served in Utah. My power supply used to get scorching hot and I could get a green light from empty in about 2 hours on the 3500 battery. Now I use the stock battery and it takes at least about 3 hours or longer to get it charged. DSP Manager still works, is much more subtle. I have had to resort to using a second eq app alongside DSP Manager to get levels right.

Work is ramping up, and so is school. No time to actually do more than minor tinkering, so thread is more or less redundant of tiny's. On that note, closed. I'll still try to push out weekly builds (tiny said I could post in his thread whenever I had a build), but no promises.

[ROM] Ruby 1.1.4 Reports

Similar to my thread based around CM 6.1 progress and reports on the latest nightlies, I present what should become a telling collection of anecdotal evidence.
Ruby 1.1.4 was released and many users are very satisfied with its performance. As 1.1.1 now appears old hat, and its original thread is waning and reads like War and Peace, please refer to this post for future observations. What I would like to see is:
1. Bugs encountered that are repeatable only after a full wipe
2. Glowing reviews and/or recommendations for bits some users are unfamiliar with
3. Odd errors that perhaps we can assist with (ie. known fix)
4. Chatter about the upcoming release of Ruby 1.2 for the Inc
I look forward to any and all suggestions, input, feedback, and all around camradery. Also, keep the flames to yourself

Well, thanks for the opportunity...
I have been using Ruby 1.1.4 as my daily driver for the past two weeks or so and find it to be perfect for my use. Although I have strayed to check out the latest and greatest, HD, Z, Feather, etc. I always come back to Ruby.
Everything works. I've added the popular mods, i.e. signal fix, etc., removed some apps that I don't like or use and I'm really happy with Ruby overall. Looking forward to 1.2.
Can't say the same for some of the vanilla apps like mail and gallery, but there are suitable replacements for those available via the market.
My thanks to the Ruby crew...

Yea it's down, teamdouche doesn't have any gapps listed at the moment. A quick search I found a mirror but have not confirmed this is the same thing. Use if you like, otherwise wait for someone to provide a mirror.

Full build. Running stable so far, no noted issues.
I've been running 1.1.4 for a couple of days. I don't use Bluetooth very often, so I've only installed the RIL patch. Together with ADW Launcher I'm very happy with this ROM.
The only bug (or missing feature) I found is in regards to the Pattern lock. When I enable it, the unlock screen no longer shows up so I can't use the music controls. However, if I enable the PIN-base lock the unlock screen works just fine. In all Sense ROMs whenver I enable the Pattern lock the unlock (tabular) screen does not go away. I filed a bug at CC ROM's website. This seems like something trivial, so hopefully they'll get it in in the next release.
EDIT: You might want to add to the OP the url link for the RIL update, I've been using it and haven't experience any 3g issues.

As far as I know, it's less of a missing feature than a feature in itself. CM, ShadowROM, all the AOSPs I've tried have that "feature."
However, I too am annoyed by it xD But it seems intentional.

Nice to see my patch is still doing something for you guys. I wonder if they will ever release an official version again.
I almost feel like pulling down the code and compiling a version with the fixes in it...
Can we use the Gapps zip from 1. 1. 1....
How is GPS working in this version? I don't know if it was the RIL or 1.1.1 but I noticed that the cell triangulation (ie. the blue circle that pops up when you first open maps) broke somewhere along the way. Pinpointing GPS would work but it was very slow (takes at least a minute or more).
At first I didn't mind the wait but I realized it caused a lot of apps that require your location (Poynt, Where, etc.) to stop working.
Odd thing is on a clean install GPS pinpointing would always be almost instant but subsequent to that it would get slower and slower. Curious if anyone else is encountering the same.
I have three questions about 1.1.4:
Does EMMC work on Ruby? I mean like in gallery and music. Itt works on Cyanogen but now Shadowrom or inc does. Thats the biggest determining factor of my using Ruby.
is it possible to get the black vanilla messenger from Cyanogen?
Also, the black bar theme that Ruby has, gives you the HTC battery icon, however I prefer the vanilla android battery. Is it possible to make a theme from the changes I made in Cyanogen?
Also if you want EMMC to mount on windows, this fix was posted I dont know if it works on ruby, if you're brave you can give it a try:

I would suggest using the one posted in the 1.1.4 download link. The op in that link also suggested to use only 1.1.4 themes...meaning that if the 1.1.1 you were using has not been ported over to 1.1.4 don't try to install it.

I've had the 1.1.4 (clean install) for 4-5 days, so hard to tell, but on Tuesday I used the GPS with Maps for about an hour and it worked great. I'll report in a few weeks if I ever use the GPS again.

EMMC works on Ruby. However, it seems that you can only mounted on a Mac, not on a PC. I connected the phone to my PC at work and it only recoginized the SD card. However, when I connected it to my Macbook it detected both EMMC and SD card.
By "black vanilla messager" you are referring to the Text Messaging app or the Google Talk? If you are talking about text messaging, there is a setting that allows you to change the background to black. In regards to the themes, I would suggest you stick with the themes made for 1.1.4 (as in the download link). If you want specific changes to the them the OP suggested contacting the created of the specif theme you are interested in.

[ROM] BakaMod V1 (2.2.1 KD1) - Froyo's Last Stand

BakaMod V1 - Froyo's Last Stand (2.2.1 KD1)
Built on the theory that LESS is MORE. This is a MINIMALIST Rom. It uses the most up to date Froyo base I could find. Why not Ginger? Well... battery.. GPS.. there are reasons to stick with Froyo IF you want reliability, speed and long life.
The battery on this rom is PHENOMENAL!
There will not be any updates to this ROM. I built it as a learning excercise, and while I think it is pretty stable, there are a couple few issues (all documented in this post) that I'm not prepared to deal with. Take it for what you will, if anybody wants to use this to do their own work and fix the issues, feel free, no credit required!
BASE: T959VUVKD1 from the SGS 4G by drhonk
FEATURES:
Removed tons of bloat. Didn't ADD my own bloat.
Accurate Battery Mod
Cianbreadish Status Bar
Simplified Boot Animation
GPS/Speed/Zipalign/Build Prop tweaks
Loopy Smoothness Tweak
No Full Battery Alert
No T-Mobile boot or shutdown sounds/animation.
6 Lockscreen/Power Menu Mod
KB1 Modem - Cuz I got great battery life.
Yes I know what Baka means. I use the term affectionately.
KERNEL: Bali-X 1.2
LAUNCHER: NemusLauncher
GPS
Should work perfectly as do all Froyo ROMs. I got a very quick lock (under 10 seconds) on first boot with this setup, with 10 satellites.
LAUNCHER
I went out on a limb including a relatively unheard of launcher. However, I find it to be a very lightweight and responsive launcher. A little different than you may be used to, it defaults to manual sorting of apps. To change this behaviour, from the app drawer, select Menu->MainMenu Style->Alphabetical, and it will go to vertical scrolling alphabetically.
KNOWN ISSUES
1. Apps2SD - KD1 assumes you want apps on the SDCard, even if the app doesn't prefer that location. Can cause issues. Only apps that explicitely block being installed to SD get installed to Phone Memory.
2. Wifi Calling - Not ported and probably won't be.
3. 4G Icon - I didn't notice it was still in the theme. Rest assured, your phone hasn't been granted magical 4G capability.
4. Locales: I won't be porting these. Looks like a nightmare, and unless this ROM becomes popular (which it won't), there's not much benefit.
5. Camera - It has the FFC button, but I'm not sure if the FFC works without additional hacking. Haven't tried it, I don't have an FFC.
INSTALL
The usual - flash from CWM. If you have issues, WIPE FIRST. Does not require any special boot loaders. Nothing to see here.
GET BLOATED
View the BLOAT on my website here: http://tsukaima.net/KD1Bloat/ and download whatever is missing that you want. Drop the missing junk into /system/app via ADB or Root Explorer, and feel re-bloated! Do note that these Bloats are for KD1 only!
Any other Google Bloat can be gotten from the market.
DOWNLOAD
http://www.multiupload.com/IW8EV3BT9X
NOTE:
I pulled the default Undervolt version. The only difference is it included the config file that you can generate using the Voltage Control app. It also crapped out some phones. I did this rather than a 1.1 release. After what appeared to be stable testing of the 1.1 release with only minor changes, it suddenly went crashy and bootloopy. Probably due to changes in the startup scripts, those things are touchy.
So... consider this the first and last release of BakaMod. Why? Well, there are some issues with KD1 that were never resolved, such as its installing apps to SD Card regardless of app preferences, as well as a few other minor issues that I'm just not prepared to address. As is, it is a usable ROM, but I plan to spend my energy elsewhere and let this release stand for what it is, which is actually a pretty usable 2.2.1.

I think you'd have to re-sign the zip if you did that. It might be better just to pull the existing one with adb and then push it back, or use root explorer.
The reason I didn't include the 3G tweaks from his thread, are that they are typically more or less helpful for each user depending on the local network conditions.

Odd, not sure why it would double boot... Mine hasn't done that and I've flashed this several times tweaking everything. Maybe it is due to the recent ODIN? Or are you still on GB boot loaders maybe? If it continues to act up, it could be due to undervolting... I took a risk including that by default, but I think most phones can handle the settings I included. If not, I'll update it and let people undervolt via the market app, but in my experience it's a little daunting to be setting that up yourself for most people.
This is 2.2.1 so is call routing through headphones without mic working?

Oooh, good catch. I'm not sure - and I do randomly use that feature in my car (have audio go through the car speakers)... I will let you know once I try it. If not, I'll have to investigate the issue.

[ROM]Cyanogenmod 10 - Unofficial - Latest Build: 9/12

See Pon's thread for continued CM10 support.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1882918
Thanks.
Cyanogenmod 10 for the Droid Incredible - Unofficial
The CM team has officially dropped support for the Droid Incredible with the last supported release being CM7.
Credit
First, all credit goes to the following, I simply benefit from their work
Team Evervolv - Donate
Evervolv is responsible for keeping the device tree and a lot of the hardware drivers up to date, without them, we'd most likely have no roms.
Cyanogenmod - Donate
Cyanogenmod is responsible for all the features of the rom, without them we'd be stock with AOSP.
Stripped
Due to the increasing size of the system files to run JellyBean and Google apps and our limited system partition, some things have to be removed from the rom, otherwise things don't work, you blame me, you're sad, I'm sad, and no one wants that. Some things are also removed as I don't use them and removing them each time I flash a rom is a bother. That's the real reason I made this rom anyway. You should be able to replace almost anything that's been removed by installing it as a user app, adding it to your SD Card, or adding it to the rom before you flash it. If in doubt, ask.
AOSP ring tones, CM ring tones still exist
Apollo
The AOSP Music Player app - Play Music replaced this long ago imo
CM Wallpapers
DSP Manager
Live Wallpapers
OpenVPN
Non-English Dictionaries (Only matters if you're using the AOSP keyboard)
Rom Manager
Video Editor App
What doesn't work
Camcorder - not working on any Inc rom atm
Video Playback - Something in CM10 is causing it to break and trying to find out which piece is difficult
Other things? You tell me. I don't use the phone the same way you do, so something else could be broke.
Source Code
Can be found at my github here. If you want to build it yourself, feel free to tweak it, but please read the instructions, as at the time of this writing, there are many reverts to be made. I have them setup so they apply automatically when I repo sync using a shell script, you can do the same.

cm-10-20120901-UNOFFICIAL-inc.zip
Upstream commits include: SMS popup, variable lockscreen pattern size (up to 6x6), advanced phone settings from CM9, and audio over bluetooth should work (thanks to EV). Also, the toggle LED flashlight option in the notification drawer works now.
Third party camera apps don't work in this building unless using Tiny's kernel. incredikernel-jb-beta2.zip - 2.63 MB
cm-10-20120830-UNOFFICIAL-inc-stable.zip
Main changes over 8/28 are upstream commits and updates to the stock kernel
Google Apps
Latest Evervolv Gapps is recommended due to their smaller size.
Goo.im Gapps also work, but are larger and you will need to watch your system space when flashing these.
Flashing
Cyanogenmod is designed to not need wipes between flashes. While this generally holds true, I've found occasionally flashing does solve an error or two. If something doesn't work after a dirty flash, clean flash before you report the problem. The download will say if a flash is required, otherwise follow what was just said.
Issues
If you're having issues follow this list of steps.
Check that you're on the latest build, if not, get on it
If you dirty flashed, clean install
If it's an issue with voice search or Google now, check system space, if it's full, free some and reflash gapps
If it's an issue with an app, try a clean install of said app
If it still doesn't work, search the thread, does someone have the same issue?
If no one has the issue, get a logcat and post in the thread, don't PM me. Logcats should be uploaded to a paste website, not directly posted on the forum.
Run around in circles until I or someone else posts a solution to your problem. If you get tired, take a break, then try to solve it yourself, if you do, post the results!
Thanks again to Team Evervolv and Cyanogenmod for making this rom possible.
Enjoy.
Haven't tried this yet but it's nice to see that it has found the light of day out of the Q&A section. Best of luck with this ROM as I know myself and many others will be following it.
Thank you for making this. It's good to see the Inc keep up.
I've recently come to the decision that having a working camcorder is more important than having the latest and greatest shiny, so I'm back down to CM7 for the time being.
Thanks for your efforts in making this available, it's great to have choice and I was beginning to miss the CM customization. I'm running a slightly older build now, but it's running great for me, and I'll be sure to be updating it to this newest when I get a chance.
Glad to see this thread in the Dev section now! So far this ROM is running great for me. I'll be installing the new 8/30 build soon.
Thanks for everything Zimeron
Thank you for this! Also, for some reason I thought the initial post was especially well written so props for that as well.
8/30 Working Well
I am running the 8/30 version with Evervolv's gapps and incredikernel. No new issues that I can find (just still konwn issues with camera and video). I don't have anything bluetooth so I can't test that. I was running Albinoman's but missed the CM addons.
Did CM9 ever get flashlight working in the notification widget? It is greyed out on CM10.
thanks Zimeron
Okay, I have to ask... How doe this compare to Albinoman's Jellybean Beta 3?

Flashlight in the notification widget, never seen/used that before. I think I can get this turned on from some commits I saw today for other devices.
Anyone play words or scramble with friends while using this rom? It's a silly thing but I was wonder if you do, do you get updates when it's your turn?
It's really hit or miss on roms. Some ICS roms will notify, others will not.Evervolv's does not. I will flash anyways, just wondering.
Thanks for keeping this phone alive.
Any chance you could add in the offline voice dictation feature? I thought it was a standard feature of JB, but there's no ability to download the offline language pack in the voice search settings.

My bad! I should have tested it before posting haha. Your build fixed it actually. It didn't work on Albino's build, and I assumed it wouldn't work on this build either because it doesn't have the Offline Voice download setting. But I just tested it and it worked great! With no internet connection, I was able to dictate a text message
Loving this ROM!
On a side note, I just updated to 8-30 and noticed that I needed to reflash gapps after because my google program were missing. In the past with CM9, I didn't need to install gapps after a new nightly and relogin, etc. Is there any way to have it retain gapps when flashingover?

The script is there to maintain gapps, but I've found it to work randomly. I have flash it everytime to be safe, my brother never flashes it and never needs to on his Inc, no idea what's different, and it's not worth it to me to dig into it when it takes two seconds to queue another zip to flash with TWRP.
k sounds good. Not sure why, but 8-30 is running amazing and noticeably smoother than 8-28. I'm also using Tiny's JB kernel and it seems to be working great. Best ROM out there.
100% the best JB I've used thus far. Crazy smooth and responsive.

[wip][kexec] [aokp and cm10] jb 4.1.2

New Builds - December 30 - I don't know if anything changed, I just sync'd repos and compiled it. But it's newer, eh!
MAKE SURE YOU WIPE DATA/CACHE AND SYSTEM AND INSTALL THIS ROM TO A FRESH ROM SLOT. Don't complain about non-working or strangely behaving apps if you flash over an old install without trying this first.
Based on the work of the All-Powerful Hashcode (source), here are fresh builds of AOKP JB and CM10.
Still no working camera. However, includes the sensor fix from Jarveson (Thanks!). HW codecs re-activated (thanks Hashcode!)
Updated repos, minor tweaks to get it to build correctly (Solana github repo doesn't build successfully as-is). See the posts ~ pg 153 of Hashcode's official thread.
Use gapps 20121011 available at your nearest filehost.
Download:
/mediafire/solana
For our friends on the other side of the Great Firewall:
CM10 Dec 15
These are ALPHA test builds (as noted by Hash) and a constant work in progress. I recommend flashing into a secondary ROM slot until you feel comfortable.
Thanks to Hashcode, dhacker, jonpry, jarveson, Google, AOKP, CM and everyone else who made this possible.
Kernel Included? version?
Gapps included?
Thanks for your work on the D3
Oh yeah, FIRST
Always wanted to do that
Thanks for this! I will finally test it today (didn't have time).
Maybe you're interested in including the fix I use for making the D3 wake with keyboard keys also.
For me at least, it was one of the first things I missed on kexec ICS/JB.

Awesome build, but I'm looking forward for a Cyanogenmod build as well.
CM build
I'll start a CM10 build tonight or tomorrow, depending on how I'm feeling. Been a busy weekend working and lots of late nights getting just AOKP to work cuz it's my primary.
In theory it shouldn't be too difficult, because AOKP is CM based. But I'm no professional, I just do this for the enjoyment.
Will keep you guys posted.

I've been talking to another user about this. Turns out that the stock messaging app is still affected by the MMS bug. I've always used a third party app so I didn't notice when I did testing. Sorry everyone.
But it works with a third party messaging app definitely. GoSMS is my present choice. Used to be Handcent but it's gone down the drain IMO the past year.
Yes mms no workie in stock. Go sms seems to work though.

Hmm MMS works on the 883 radio from T-Mobile. Maybe it's something in build.prop? Maybe it's APN settings? I think CDMA carriers still use APNs.
Already went down the road of apn. Everything was correct in mine. Went ahead and deleted and re entered, no change in built in sms/mms app. Wouldn't know what to check in build.prop.

I did the same and it seems to be working well. I've only had one phone call and the phone app did crash when the call ended. I *think* the called party hung up first. The sensor fix is very nice - I was somehow regularly getting into the settings menu with my ear and changing stuff before it
I think the only thing I miss at this point is the audio out via the car dock special usb cable. I've thought about trying to help figure that one out, but the last programming I did was in the late 80's in C, so the learning curve is gonna be kinda steep. I have installed the sdk on my Fedora machine. We'll see if I can get motivated to figure out how to actually do anything with it.

If you understand C well, you might actually not have too hard a time, especially if Android is C++. I have no idea though.
set up
if anyone would like to get their machine going for development, i made a blog post (my first serious one ever) about setting up Ubuntu 12.10 properly to compile Android from source.
https://soupdawg.wordpress.com/2012...-for-building-android-jellybean-all-variants/
all the other guides i've seen are up to 12.04, and setting up the correct JDK is unique on 12.10
good luck everyone!
NOTE: my process.phone always crashes after calls. it doesnt seem to impact anything, i still run it day to day just fine. i'll try to track it down and see whats up. i think it's because of the hack i had to do to get the ROM to compile correctly. frameworks/base in its natural state from the repo causes build errors.

Great work man!
Works beautifully, and it seems much faster than CM11.
I may have done something wrong though; I seem to have lost root access somehow.
Edit: Never mind, somehow a reboot fixed that.
Running great so far. Still searching how to disable the volume key flip on rotate though. Haven't found any bugs yet!
Sent from my Optimus G Pro using Tapatalk
Had it running. Root was all messed up and it kept erroring when I went to Superuser menu to fix it like OP. Now when I reinstall the ROM from my SD card I get Status 7 failure. Some symlinks failed.
*disregard* gotta wipe data/factory reset to make it work. Not just manually format sys data cache. Oh well... Maybe root will work this time....
Sent from my Optimus G Pro using Tapatalk
To get root access working you must go to developer options and under "Root access" select "Apps and ADB" That will make superuser functional.
Bug/Issue: 1. Settings crashes when going into Superuser and selecting settings. 2. GPS does not work. I couldn't get mapmyrun to get a gps signal.
EDIT* 3. Stock browser does not work well. When browsing a site such as google search there are black squares covering the screen. It happens as well with the google search app from playstore.
Overall, it works well
I can confirm. GPS does not work.

I was about to confirm, but saw this so will look forward to the next version.
One thing I noticed when I tried enabling the swap file with Ram Manager Free (I found that giving this phone 256MB of swap file on kernels that support it makes it work MUCH better with heavy multitasking). It seemed to enable in the app, but when I checked the memory it showed only 64MB instead of 256MB. I checked and ZRAM was not enabled. Any idea where that 64MB came from?
I'm going to like this ROM once these few issues get fixed. It's a lot like the AOIP ROM I have been using for a while.
Which reminds me, one thing that is missing that I really liked was the ability to adjust the hard buttons back light. I like to have it set so it is on whenever the screen is on. Really disliked the auto turn-off after a few seconds even while the screen is still on. Would it be possible to add the settings options like AOIP and CM ROMs have?

4.6 has working superuser and GPS should work. Try performance control with 4.6 if 4.8 is inconveniencing.
I too am thrilled to note the appearance of yet another choice in the Exhibit ROM stable.
Very reassuring to me that this ROM presents no issues FC-ing out-of-the-box. Factory reset works, too. First time in quite a while that installation on my phone needed no extra steps.
I am trying the 4.6 version to see if that helps with GPS and the other issue.

Will you let me know if gps works for you with 4.6? I've fixed superuser fc, but uncertain if performance settings caused gps conflict.
Yes, I'll let you know ASAP.
Someone else may beat me to the punch, though; I won't get back to my wifi until Tuesday.
Currently back on Dark CM. I did however make a Nandroid of Slim.
I was so impatient to fully test Slim, I manually installed most of my apps from the Play store.
You can't restore Ti backups without having root access. I thought maybe you could restore even if you couldn't create backups, but nope.
Weird as it might sound I was interested in using my non-rooted phone for a while. It's been so long since I used a non-rooted device, I wanted to see the limitations imposed.

EDIT: My mistake, @danny8 is correct. GPS is not working in 4.6. nor is it working in 4.9. When I switched to "device only", GPS did not work at all.
One bug I did want to mention is that I am receiving fc's when trying to access SlimCenter.
