[Q] Recovery Option Disppears Nook HD Reboot - Nook HD, HD+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Now running the 3/6 build which I installed using the reboot/recovery option from 12/27.
I notice that when I try to update now, reboot no longer has the recovery option, it only allows a reboot.
Am I doing something wrong, or has the procedure changed?

The options have been hidden in the newer versions of CM10.1. You need to tap on the build number in the About settings screen to expose the developer options and then enable the rebooting option.
I believe this is mentioned in the release thread as well.

[Q] Wifi doesn't turn on in CM11 Kitkat

Tried a few different nightly build of unofficial CM 11 (12-17, 12-30, and 1-02) and on all of them the wifi doesn't turn on. In the settings menu the option to turn it on is grayed out, and when I use a power widget or the drawer, it simply hangs. Wifi tethering isn't working either.
Anyone else have this issue, or know of a fix?

Did you do full wipes of everything in safe strap before installing the rom?

Yes, and factory reset.
Just a heads up in case anyone else has this issue in the future. I wasn't on the latest version of safestrap so I updated to 3.65, wiped and recreated my ROM slot, and installed the 1/05/2014 nightly. Now everything works.

Xposed Mods [HELP]

I am running Android Revolution 71.1 and I accidentally put an xposed mod on that allows 6x6 lockscreen patterns for AOSP devices. Now, my phone is stuck at the lock screen, and I cannot unlock it, as when i tap on the pattern, it says "unfortunately, systemui has crashed" and im stuck. I dont want to wipe my phone and completely start from scratch, but I need help disabling the mod I put on. Anyone have any ideas?

just dirty-flash the rom again (ie flash, and during the installation select: do not wipe userpartition)
PS: when the ROM boots up again, before activating Xposed again, make sure to uncheck the offending module
Thanks!

Using ART on Stock

Since no one has mentioned this, I just wanted to point out that you can use ART runtime on stock KitKat. I have been using this for a long time and have not had any problems. It is faster in my opinion.

Go to Settings/About Phone
Go to Software Information
Tap the "Build Number" a bunch of times until it says "you are now a developer"
Now go back to Settings and you should find a new "developer options" category
Press Select Runtime and then select ART
Restart the phone, first restart of the phone will take a long time, around 20 minutes for me
Has anyone else tried this?
I changed the settings and the phone restarted, but it stuck with dalvik
Because is just a beta for developers, some aps are going to run fine, maybe some aps are going to use Dalvik, anothers will just crash.

Any advanced reboot menu mod for 5.0 for the Moto X?

Or is there another good way to get a reboot option that is almost as simple as just using the power button?
Thanks
I believe you need to be rooted to make rebooting work, bit most toggle apps will have that option.
Tried Quick Boot?

I am rooted and was hoping to avoid a toggle app, I have used power toggles on previous phones and liked it but now with lollipop pull down not sure I want to use a toggle app.

I will look into that app.
Edit: While checking the reboot apps I realized that I have rom toolbox pro, which has a rebooter widget. I am such an idiot.
So I guess the question should be, how can we add advanced reboot menu to the power button?

Landscape mode does not work on my Note 9

Hi everyone,
I have a problem with "Portrait mode only" settings. After I turned OFF "Portrait mode only" setting, my phone is NOT able to rotate to Landscape mode.
I already tried to reboot my phone after changed the setting.
Can everyone help me on this situation? Thanks.

You can try to:
A) clear data/cache for the launcher (beware, this will restart the launcher as it's new unset one = all shortcuts removed!)
B) from the apps menu, select the launcher and "uninstall updates" that will revert it to the one it was shipped with. Then you will update the application to the newest version via playstore. This will also restart the launcher
Also be sure that autorotation is on, I am pretty sure you already checked that, but to point it out anyway.
Edit: Also, welcome to the XDA community!

Thanks, high_voltage.
I just tried your suggestion A. It still doesn't work. For your suggestion B, I am not able to uninstall the update of the Launcher. I am using "Samsung Experience Home" version 9.0.12.4. I think it is the latest version as I see the text "The latest version is already installed" in About menu.

Rotation works otherwise, right?
Really strange. Reset will fix it for sure, but outside of that I am out of ideas what to try. Mine works and see for the first time someone complaing for this. Software update if any is also worth a shot.
