Any advanced reboot menu mod for 5.0 for the Moto X? - X 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Or is there another good way to get a reboot option that is almost as simple as just using the power button?
Thanks

I believe you need to be rooted to make rebooting work, bit most toggle apps will have that option.

Tried Quick Boot?

I am rooted and was hoping to avoid a toggle app, I have used power toggles on previous phones and liked it but now with lollipop pull down not sure I want to use a toggle app.

I will look into that app.
Edit: While checking the reboot apps I realized that I have rom toolbox pro, which has a rebooter widget. I am such an idiot.
So I guess the question should be, how can we add advanced reboot menu to the power button?

[Q] Recovery Option Disppears Nook HD Reboot

Now running the 3/6 build which I installed using the reboot/recovery option from 12/27.
I notice that when I try to update now, reboot no longer has the recovery option, it only allows a reboot.
Am I doing something wrong, or has the procedure changed?

The options have been hidden in the newer versions of CM10.1. You need to tap on the build number in the About settings screen to expose the developer options and then enable the rebooting option.
I believe this is mentioned in the release thread as well.

I'm not sure if it's possible like that but if you try to push it some sec on the notification you have information about the application or something like that, select it then choose disable.
Yes, you can, on unrooted device go to Apps > All > Update Center and Clear Cache and Stop the Application. The notification will disappear but when you will Reboot your phone, it will be back and you will have to repeat the process.
or
Install Root Uninstaller, Root needed, and Disable the Application, it will be Frozen. No more notifications.
I use the Xposed module NotifyClean for this very purpose.

It's not possible to simply disable notifications instead disabling all the app in the app settings?
goto
settings/apps/all/update centre
then untick the option to show notifications
no root needed

Just 1 System App, Update Center. Notifications are general.

Maybe because you already have the notification in your notification bar.
Clear data, reboot and try again

Is not working, again. I did this 10 times before give up and I do this again to let you see that I already tried.
Wi-Fi on, I reboot my phone, the notification appear on notificatiuon Bar. I go to Apps > All > Update Center and I FORCE STOP, the notification disappear, the option Show Notifications still Hided. Then I clear Data and Cache too, nothing.
To be sure I disable Wi-Fi and reboot, the application running again but no notification (of curse wi-fi off) then I repeat the process, Apps > All > Update center, Force Stop, nothing, the option still hided.
This is what I talking about.
Maybe they changed that on 4.4, sorry I still on 4.3, but to me should not make any difference as the application have his own version.
Well, my update centre is version
2.2.0.A.0.8
Maybe you should update the update centre to that...

Same here, cannot untick it, it's grayed out, but I just cleared the data in Update Center app, and done. Notification gone, it comes back but after a long while (I've deleted data and it's been two weeks since the notification hasn't appeared) or in the case of a phone restart or if you refresh the app in the app drawer, forcing it to re-check for an update.

That's why on 4.3 with Update Center v2.1.1.A.0.10 is better to Disable the App, but to do that you have to be Rooted and have Root Uninstaller installed.

I don't want to disable the app, because I still want to get notifications about Sony's apps. I just clear data, and let the application still run. And I still don't have root and don't yet feel the need to do it.

Soft Buttons (keys) gone.

Noob here. I need some help please. I installed the latest Xposed installer on a Asus TF700 running Crombi-KK RC 2. I installed several modules rebooted so everything would activate but after the home page came up there were no more soft keys at the bottomie: return, home, recent. I tried going into Closed to search some of the module settings to see if I could find the problem but if I open a setting to see if it could be responsible for the problem I can not back out because I do not have soft buttons. I tried stopping and disabling Xplosed in the settings/apps but could not back out that either for same reason, no soft buttons. The only think I can do is reboot but that has not solved my problem. Does anyone know which modules could be causing this problem? I also disabled my full screen app hoping that it had been enabled but it wasn't. Thanks.
Disable your modules one by one (open the Xposed installer, go to modules, disable one or more, select "Framework" from the drop down menu, then tap "Soft reboot"). No soft keys needed for that.
You can also temporarily disable them all, check the stuck thread for info on which key combo to use while your device is booting.

if u cant recover from what you have done reboot into safe mode by holding power button and click and hold power off and click OK. :good:
after rebooting into safe mode. goto settings > apps and uninstall Xposed or clear its data.
Thanks, that is what did and now have soft keys. I did try disabling the navigation bar stuff in GravityBox but that did not work so I removed GravityBox but still using some of the other Xposed modules.

gravitybox is awesome. dont uninstall gravitybox
goto gravitybox>Navigation bar settings and enable the master switch for the nav bar and check enable navigation bar. then rebbot and customize
hit the thanks button if u think i helped you (Y)
Did as you suggested and now everything is okay. I did those steps when I first installed GravityBox so I do not know what went wrong. The only thing I did differently is I did not update to the latest version, maybe that had something to do with it.:highfive:
Softkeys gone due to xposed
I hv sony xperia e1 rooted with latest version of xposed installed.
When i installed "Sergir Blurred System UI" module to get translucent notification panel My Softkeys went after the reboot. I disabled the module from xposed and uninstalled it but nothing worked for me. But when I opened xposed installer and in the framework tab I uninstalled the framework then everything worked fine even the keys came back. But I want to customise my phone with xposed and whenever I install framework my keys go away.
I hv even tried toggling immersive mode but it didn't work 4 me.
I tried clearing data of xposed from settings but that also didn't work.

Disable Pill Button in Pie?

I recently got this phone, and thanks to this forum, was able to install Magisk, get root, install Ad Away, etc.
I really hate the Android Pie pill button so I went to the setting to turn it off, and the entire gestures menu is missing from the stock Sony Xperia 9 firmware. I've got root and adb access and have tried to set keys like system_navigation_keys_enabled, but the stock rom doesn't seem to respect any of them.
Please tell me there's a way to disable that pill button on this stock rom.
EDIT: Figured it out thanks to some help from someone on Reddit.
You have to disable the XperiaHome application. I installed Nova Launcher, but I still couldn't force stop/disable it, even after a reboot. I have a really old purchase for Titanium Backup Pro which was able to disable it. I rebooted and got my buttons back!

Stuck on Google logo after Magisk Module install

Hey guys,
Hope it's OK to post this here.
Just 2 things. Just unlocked and rooted P4XL, yay! Haha. Everytime I flash a module in Magisk, the phone gets to the Google logo after reboot and stays. I have to manually reset (power button for 10secs) then it boots normal and the module is there working. Is there something I haven't set? Is this normal?
The second thing was, can anyone point me in the direction of a high brightness mod for the P4XL. I know there's a shell command and then you have to make a tasker task to lock it in on screen wake but, is there a Magisk mod or something that I haven't found yet?
Thanks in advance as always guys.

EX kernel and the other two that are posted on this site both have high brightness mode as an option. I'm not sure if the problem you are having is with Magisk or the module itself. This happened with my device on occasion. I flashed the magisk modified boot IMG to both partitions and it hasn't done it since. That could be pure luck but in my case it seems to have worked.

This should take care of your HBM if using a custom kernel. The other problem sounds like a module problem as the previous poster stated :good:

EX Kernel is what I'm currently using. It's very stable and I haven't had any issues at all. I'm not sure if there is a download link or not but it can be installed from the EXKM app. I am also using the HBM app that Badger50 linked to. It works great.

But there's no MajMod for HBM currently is there, or that you know of?

Side question. This device is set up like the P2XL yeah? Treble? Slot a and Slot b? I wish it was like it used to be, system, boot and recovery haha. But anyway, it is what it is.

I worked it out. All good. As far as I've 'READ' twrp isn't available for the P4XL so, the app was assuming I had a custom recovery. But I don't, so I flashed the downloaded zip through the app (using the in app Flash tool) and rebooted manually. Seems to have stuck. For anyone that might read this, so that it HELPS them. That's what we're here for! Good job.
So maybe I could run a script to enable HBM on every boot? Anyone know if that's possible? Sorry, I'm not much of a script-er. Haha.
Thanks again guys. ☺

Why would you need a script? It's already enabled if your using the Ex kernel and have root. You could either turn it on under settings/graphics in the EXKM app, or just use the toggle that the HBM widget allows :good:

Argh, I think I've completely misunderstood the HBM mode and what it's supposed to do. I read that it's supposed to push your screen a bit past it's Max brightness so you can see it outside better. Something like from 350nits to like 550nits. When I enable that mode in EX, it just keeps it on full, the screen already does that outside. Haha.
So either this isn't what I'm looking for or, I've completely misunderstood what it had the potential of doing.
