I`m using Lionheart as governor / ROW as scheduler , its the best thing i found for performance / smoothness / battery life
With medium use , wifi on almost all the time , after 24 hours i have 30% battery left.
With wifi off i get 2% drain during 8 hours overnight.

if you are on IZS by Huexxx, flash kernel Diana v0.2 from IZS v0.2 - url blog => http://huexxxtuff.blogspot.com.es/2013/01/izs-rom-links.html
copy on sdcard, reboot in recovery, flash kernel diana v0.2.zip with CWM, wait, reboot.
with nofrills, set smartass2 / row for battery life.

I'm using Lionheart + ROW and it's just perfect. I've been with Zeus's ROMs since I got my OB, but now I changed my ROM for Avatar and guess what - still using Lionheart + ROW, which made me change kernel to MackayKernel Still i think Lionheart + ROW is awesome.

Both are very good governors for IZS but not all kernels have both and be very carful not all governors are the same in all kernels.

Too bad...OC at 821mhz....not what I thought at all.Not to be rude or to flame but you said about 883 mhz in the forum thread.Maybe you should just change and say that it's just another OC kernel just like ketut's.Don't lie about the frequencies they are not yet too good controlled.
If you put in a under/overvolt it may just do the good to make our Ace reach 1ghz.

Good choice not implement this, for all that use oc kernel.
In this way to boot phone should use always basic default frequencies, so avoiding fake boot ;-)

Can you build the kernel??
i read many reference what the best max freq for kernel, and the 883Mhz, is enough for hardware,
so this kernel not just compile, but i read every log when build this kernel and try to fix, to minimize error mod post
if you dont like, dont use it, i just want to share, what i'm doing, and if you like, just give a thanks
maybe i can give a clue, just read below
see this code
Code:
/* MSM7201A Levels 3-6 all correspond to 1.2V, level 7 corresponds to 1.325V. */
enum {
VDD_0 = 0,
VDD_1 = 1,
VDD_2 = 2,
VDD_3 = 3,
VDD_4 = 3,
VDD_5 = 3,
VDD_6 = 3,
VDD_7 = 7,
VDD_END
};
max freq use code 7, its mean corresponds to 1.325V ( max volt )
go, and build your self,
if you know the bug,
please report, not complain
every device with same type is not same on hardware, some people can boot at 883Mhz, but some people cant, and my kernel freq 883Mhz, but not default, all people will know, if freq is bigger than default its mean OC kernel
all feature is not just add but with some modification that need by device for get best result
sorry for my english

use the semaphore app to set low memory value to 64 mb, more free memory means less lag when you run something. you get another 15mb or so witb bm kernel. The govenor basically controls how fast or slow the cpu runs and reacts to demand. Smartassv2 is responsive, especially with sio i/o scheduler. use semaphore app to set readahead to say 512mb, you might also like the more sensitive screen.

I thought that with the "bm" kernal you lose HD recording.
You do lose hd recording, but you can still get great videos. If you do need full hd recording, flash non bm semaphor, after recording, flash bm back. Its very easy with sgs flasher

You know, that question is a bit like asking "what is the healthiest dinner?" and expect to get to same answer from everyone.
Different roms are more stable for certain usage. That said, AOKP roms are most stable for me, I've had no issues at all on infinitum.
Non ics roms would be Darky 9.5, rock solid with working call recording. This is pretty widely recognized as a very stable rom.

i set it to smartass but still no sio ... not a big deal ok ...
but all these is from smerphone app ... when you go to nstools there is much less option & the highest cpu is 1000mhz
mean while in smerphone you can get it up to 1300 mhz but as soon you leave the apps it goes back to 1000 ... but every other setting stay as i choose ... & when you try to make the profile default as your profile the phone completely shut down
so i did as most of people think which is the fastest ... but still 2 things i cant do
sio
highest cpu ( 1300 ) am stuck with (1000 )

This is inspired by SAMSUNG Infuse 4G, which use the same CPU and do not have 1.0GHz step in its stock kernel.
when there are both 1.24 and 1.0GHz, the governor will prefer to use 1.24GHz. And i thought it may help governor switch between steps faster.
so it won't eat more battery in this case.

I only built smartassV2(tweaked) into kernel. because it balance between battery life and performance.
There are also include kernel module of ondemand and conservative, you could load them by insmod if you like.

EDIT: unfortunately kernel doesn't work for me - i use it with paranoidandroid and rom was really sluggish at first (maybe cache-related...). then i startet setcpu for adjustments and the phone stopped responding with "colorful snow" on the screen. i pulled battery to reboot. - maybe my 9023 doesn't like 1,24 ghz (it is a bit picky, but 1,2 ghz at stock vol was never a problem).

yea, well, with stock kernel (and thalamus and matr1x and air kernel) everything runs fine, but i wanted to know, if there is a way to find out what exactly causes the problem with your kernel and my phone (which also might help somebody else). - raising the vol does not help that much, still some freezes from time to time (even though i'm above stock vols).

[Kernel][3.0.8] StrongAccord Kernel for ICS based roms (21/01)

Hello everybody I'm glad that I'm finally able to post my own thing in development section.
It's called Strong Accord because I'm accordionist and in future I'd like to make a rom with really good music sound
This kernel has been made for V30B (I didn't test it on CM10, it may work) and it's based on N00by's pure kernel. Compiled with linarno 4.6.

If somebody has USB Mass Storage problem just Re-launch USB Developer Options.
If Wifi doesn't work take from your rom file called wireless.ko in system/etc/wifi and replace it with that in my kernel.
Thanks to N00by for his CWM and LEDs fixes and andr00ib for support
If you like my work, you can buy me a beer
Enjoy it!
and i just thought that you'r a Honda fanatic.
Accord, Prelude..
you'r kernel sounds good, maybe i'm going to try tomorrow..
now i'm on zerogravity kernel.
I'm trying this kernel in ultrsound v30b.
After first boot phone was very slooow, I show in setcpu that max freq was 250, I changed it to 1050 and now phone is faster than before.
I tried to set smartassv2 governor but is missing in setcpu.
Wifi hotspot doesn't work, like in zerogravity kernel, is disabled in less than 1 second.
Led light is a little low, but I prefer it like that.

I just installed the kernel now, hadn't have time to try bluetooth and battery.
Anyone else has wifi hotspot problem? 'Cause for me it's good...
And sorry - I didn't mean to miss SmartAss. I hope new version of kernel will appear in 5-6 hours from now - I can't do it faster, because I have exams.
Great to have new dev thread
but dont forget to provide source

Using this kernel now with ultrasound ICS, good battery and smooth on game(NFSMW), never got this game so smooth before with any ICS I try. Thanks

I hope you wont stop development of this kernel cause andr00ib droped support for ZeroGravityKernel for V30B.
At the Moment i use your kernel but i get ultra low 3D scores in antutu. Only about 600 or so.
No, I won't. Right now I'm trying to set github.
I think I fixed wifi problem.
And you've got strange score... I have 1196 in antutu...
EDIT: It will take some time to set git (my upload speed is so bad...), so I will just merge kernel and post it here...

It was because of the interactive governor. on performance i got 1189.
savadgedzen: stuck at 250mhz
ineractivex: goes only down to 600mhz
interactive: seems to work
conservative: seems to work
ondemand: seems to worlk
Lionheart: seems to work
performance: works (of course it does
Thanks for your effort. I will look into code. Also I will try to enable o/c to 1200 MHz and stock 1000.
I enabled smartass v2 and sio governor. I think about adding Anticipatory scheduler.
And pls remember - I'm new in developing, but I will try my best
Try! And if you fail........try again.

It seems to be ultrasound v30b v2 problem, sorry for post it in this threat without check it with stock kernel on this rom.
EDIT: Maybe I have to check it too, beacuse I'm not on stock.

OMAP 3630 can't handle more than 1300 MHz without issues. Stable is 1200 MHz
When can we expect version with 1000 and 1200 ?
And what about those new comits from arce , will you implement them ?
And another thing , will 1200 freq be undervolted ?
Cant wait for new version
Yes, I just want to be sure that all things are stable.
Can you show me that commits?
