if it was that simple I think that dev would have already did it, plus Sony secure its stuff harder than that.

You can check in service menu under service tests if DRM Keys are intact.

[TOOL/Z] [UPDATE 06/04/2013] Flashtool version 0.9.11.0 - Windows / Linux / Mac

Here is the final version of Flashtool, compatible with Z/ZL
To clarify about bootloader unlock/relock :
Q : Can Flashtool unlock bootloader for a first time unlock ?
A : Yes, it does it using official sony method (get key, then issue the right fastboot command)
Q : Can Flashtool relock bootloader ?
A : Yes
Q : Can Flashtool unlock bootloader after a relock ?
A : Yes.
With this release, before unlocking first time, root your device and you will be able to backup your TA partition (Raw ta backup). By doing this, you will be able to relock / restore your TA partition and have back BE2 and all DRM keys.
Happy flashing
Flashtool can be downloaded from this page
For those having issues downloading, you can try this link : unrestrict.li Flashtool homepage
Very Good。
the complete version of FT should take some time as Androxyde is rebuilding/redesigning the entire interface, but till then this will have to do...

I have a few questions.
1. When creating a firmware normal Flashtool v0.9.10.1 does not know how to define multiple files.

Is there a risk? Or beta Flashtool, when flashing the firmware of received, all the files correctly identify and sew the right sections?
I looked at the French firmware - it has the same structure as the creation of me, so I'm pretty sure of the correctness of their actions, but would like to know your opinion.
Thanks in advance for your answers.

You should not use TA option yet. With old flashtool loader sending is not correct for Xperia Z and new version is not TA option implemented.
Better wait a little!

Probably you need to gain root.
This tool seem to be working over adb. If yes then there are no other way... Need root, then backup TA.

For me this worked fine (but used last beta 9.0b5).
on my C5303 with firmware C5302_12.0.A.1.284 rooted with Doomlords perf. event exploit.
Also dry run for restore was successful.
Did not try full restore because i leave my one unlocked anyway and don't really care about the BE2 engine.
Probably i try the restore when the official 12.0.A.1.284 for the C5303 is released.
Did you root your XSP?

your phone must be rooted and enable usb debbuging & unknown sources
yes i rooted fw 284

I think more info on your phone status is required that someone here can really help you.
How did you root (exploit or kernel).
Bootloader: locked or unlocked (if already unlocked the TA backup makes no sense anyway (DRM keys are lost forever))
Kernel: stock or dooms/cm
Also you could ask in the BackupTA thread directly.

1.i use stock kernel stock rom locked bootload just only rooted BE2 work fine
2.im a new mem i cant post in that thread :crying:
when it said "find ta partition" i allowed adb
is backup taking a long times??
Ok there were some posts mentioning that in the final version 9.0 of backup TA the behaviour you described appeared.
Seems like a bug in BackupTA with the new version 9.0 because the betas of 9.0 until b5 did work.
Try the 9.0 beta 5 or version 8.9.
i used backup TA verr 9.1 and i backup done thks every one!!!!

Trying to get 4.4.2 with root - Starting from unrooted device - Stuck on Sony logo

Hi
I have a C6903 and I decided it about time to get root permission (I prefer without unlocking the boot-loader even though I have already backedup TA )
My ultimate goal is 4.4.2 rom with root .
After searching on xda I have found rom that I want :
RomAur v6.2
But it requires :
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And therefore I understood that I have to go through another version of 4.4 , so I need to flush:
[STOCK] [C69XX] [4.4] Update to 14.3.A.0.681 [Root & XZDR] [UPDATED]
This rom both for locked and unlocked bootloaders.
I realized that in order to install the this rom I have to go through several steps:
1 . flushing C6903_14.1.G.1.534_ [ NUT ] . ftf with flashtool ( so I could perform root)
2 . getting root and flushing recovery with a Z1 - lockeddualrecovery2.7.100 - BETA.installer.zip ( this is the latest version and it has install.bat file, selecting 3 in the dos menu performs root, after restarting the device I update the SuperSU via googleplay and then I got root).
The goal is to reach 4.4, I understood that I must pass through another version :
At the moment I'm on C6903_14.1.G.1.534 (after I got the device rooted and installed recovery mode) , so I need to flush :
I did everything exactly according the instructions :
All the steps until 10 includes step 10.
And no matter what I tried , the device stuck in boot screen ( I gave it 15 minutes to be stuck on this screen ) :
So what the hell am I doing worng?
Thanks !!!
If you are on 534, just install dual recovery and then flash romaur, done

Do I need to preform all the instructions? (from 534, after installing dual recovery):
Check on the dual recovery OP about the fix you need to flash for romaur.

Together with the fix (flushed after romaur and before dualrecovery) if I will do all the instructions (staring from 534 with dualrecovery), Including flushing the ftf in the end, should it work?

Extreme method :
After performing all the above if you haven't still got IMEI. Now switch off your phone and open SP Tools and connect your phone. Now click on format and format your whole phone. ( This wipes whole of the phone including NVram region ).
Now flash stock ROM through SP Tools and after it completes start up your phone. ( Don't be surprised. Your IMEI will still be in lost state only ). Now root your phone.
After successful rooting now connect your phone to MTK Droid tools and again press ROOT button and grant root access to MTK Droid tools. Now click on IMEI/NVram tab.

Now as you see in the image above you can see two boxes IMEI1 and IMEI 2. Now enter your device IMEI numbers manually in those two boxes.( You can get your IMEI no's from your phone box ). Now click replace IMEI. Now reboot your phone and you should be definitely able to get your IMEI restored.

TA Partition

hey guys, I'm trying DRM FUNCTION RESTORATION and I can't see TA Partition to include to flash in selected firmware's content... firmware version 14.3.A.0.757... I downloaded with xperifirm I think its full ftf but I can't see to include for flashing... latest flashtool 0.9.19.4
i hope its clear what im trying to say... any help would be greatly appreciated

I figured out, But when u took screenshot clearly flashtool was not 0.9.19.5... I did all steps to dmr restoration. and restored my nanroid backup and flashed lollipop version of mod... and cant see any difference in camera same noise... u think when i restored nanroid backup also TA was restored from backup?
and when I ckeck bootloader status it does not say anything about bootloader it says root status unknow and something HW was added too, I %[email protected] up everything

i checked flashtool it is 0.9.18.6, sorry lol
it's not restore your DRM information, it just restore functions you lost after unlock bootloader.
when you complete all step to restore DRM, did you check it work or not before flash a new rom? ( open image and see what diff between x-reality on/off. And don't restore old nandroid, flash a fresh rom,flash DRM restoration.zip and restore data via titanium backup.
