Nope. Your boot loader will stay unlocked through an RSD flash.

Yep. Advise running fastboot reboot-recovery too to kill that stock recovery re-flasher script - TWRP does it automatically if you boot in, cwm asks you first
Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 2

Is there any reason to update to this if I was on 4.1.1 before but using custom ROMs now?
Will it update the radio or kernel for custom ROMs?

Can you flash this like any other ROM?
Also where can I get cwm for this phone
Sent from my XT907 using xda premium

This is meant for a clean install with RDSLite i believe.

Hello, I am running a stock RAZR M, but rooted when I first got it to remove bloatware.
I'm just looking to install the latest update (I keep getting the error message since I deleted the bloat apps, and I can't restore apps).
I dont think I "unlocked boot loader", because I don't even know what that it. I'm just trying to get this update on my rooted phone. Even if I lose root, I'm ok with that.
I'm pretty new to this, but have done some rom flashing on previous phones.
Once I download this file, do I install through Clockwork manager? Can I boot into system mode and install from .zip?
Thanks so much for your help!

From my understanding, you can't update without all the bloatware.
And updating will remove root. You will have to reroot.

I would go there and start searching.
I know most of the users had to install all the apps/bloatware that they deleted in their system/apps folder to be able to update.

Any chance you guys get the Telstra (AUS) firmware or run us Aussies through how to extract one from our devices?
Note we're BL unlockable if that helps.
How can we use this firmware on a retail version, knowing that BL is locked?
Any instructions/description will be greatly appreciated
Thx

you use this in conjunction with RSD Lite. put the razr m in fastboot mode, run rsd lite, browse for this, and extract & flash it. itll take a bit, but bring you back to fully stock 4.1.1

What's the benefit of this ROM? Is it an update to the jelly bean already out there?
Sent from my XT907 using xda app-developers app
Benifit is that we can look into the file now instead of OTA or Blind Flashing.
Also if you screw up u can Fast boot flash this Firmware with RDSLite.
Now my question is does any one have the JB AUSSIE Radio 4.1.1 ?
Or will the AUSSIE 4.0.x Radio work in here ?
Aussie radio from ICS works fine with this so far.. will test tomorrow in lte coverage area too.

Works for me also on Verizon phone.
Still curious if we can get a Australia fast boot. I think theirs maybe less bloated ?
Again thanks for the fast boot files

There's a tonne of Verizon bloat in these fastboot images that's for sure.. however, much of it is easily removed
Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 2
Did a factory wipe, and flashed just boot and system on my Aussie RAZR M.
Everything works except LTE. When it kicks over to LTE it can see the network and connect to it, but the data connection doesn't establish (ie the 4G symbol does not appear and data connectivity doesn't work, despite strong signal in a 4G area).
Any ideas on what may need to be tweaked to get LTE data to work? Data works fine on UMTS.

So you're saying we can reimage an Telstra phone using the Verizon fastboot then separately pushing the radio fastboot afterwards?

Just flash the system and boot partitions. However, lte doesn't seem to work. Gsm and umts do though.

In the process of trying to get LTE going, I managed to fry it, so I'm going to have to do a re-install this afternoon. Only shame of it is, I don't live in an LTE coverage area, so I can't test.
So for me, it's a question of do I want smooth jellybean goodness with (at most) DC-HSPA, or do I want ICS with LTE ... grunt, why can't I have both!?

Having said that it's LTE, I've followed these instructions:

Apparently this should get LTE working outside the US ... will give it a try when a chance avails.

Simple. For people who have modded their ICS firmware, the OTA won't apply unless they revert to stock first. At least with this, they can flash jellybean, then mod their rom again.
Plus it's also nice to have something to reimage your phone with if you screw it up
camera JB
Are anybody can upload camera and gallery and all additional files from JB?

i think you have to unlock your bl first. try installing pcc. then use flashtool. not working? have you installed gordon's gate? try rebooting pc. and stop adb.exe using task manager.

How to Unroot ATT Moto X?

Just rooted my ATT moto x using jcase's method (which was ridiculously easy). Now I'm curious how to unroot in case I get prompted with an OTA in the coming days.
Can anyone shed some light on the easiest way to do this?
Thank you very much.

Flash stock firmware and recovery with either Rsdlite or fastboot. If you use fastboot you can preserve data.
The firmware is in the Dev section

As noted if you want to preserve data, just flash the recovery.img and the system.img from the stock firmware via fastboot and you'll be all set. I did it and works just fine. Be sure to use the firmware file for ATT.
Stupid question in 3...2...1. How do you flash stock firmware without having custom recovery?

No its easy. Just follow the instructions on the thread about flashing back to stock, but you probably should have already done it. You can just fastboot flash recovery and system without wiping and then reboot. Then accept the OTA.

Fastboot will work unless you're trying to downgrade. It will work with a locked bootloader because these are signed official images. All I can say is, make sure you have downloaded the correct file for your phone. If you're on Verizon, system flash won't work because the file size is too big. Just fastboot flash recovery recovery.img then reboot the phone and do a factory reset. This should take you back to stock.

Hey guys-
My questions is somewhat related to the OP, maybe not so much but I did not want to start a new thread.
Anyways...I got the Developer Version, how do I go about unlocking the bootloader, is there some moto site to do this like htcdev site?
Thanks in advance
EDIT: I am reading on some articles that it does already have an unlocked bootloader but I don't think that is the case on my device

I just updated mine while being rooted. I had to uninstall updates then then update. Try that and see if it helps. Had to reboot as well. When I just tried the typical update like normal it kept locking up my phone, that's when I rebooted uninstalled then started over like when u first pair your gear. Everything works and I'm on the new version and rooted gear as well. Last time I did the update I had to reset my gear and lost root but this time it didn't.

My device is rooted and has unlocked bootloader and is running Cyanogenmod 11.0. I'm trying to flash stock At&t rom: MB886_att-user-4.1.1-9.8.0Q-97_MB886_FFW-20-27-release-keys-ATT-US_BuildA.xml . How can I do so? Because I connect my device and rsd lite detects it but doesn't read it's info or nothing and you click start and says failed... What should I do?

You have to do the step called read and stop being lazy and asking us to do the work you can do all on your own.
EDIT
In addition to the above, I ammend this post to refer you to this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2350721 , and inform you that right now, by not making any attempt to do things yourself and begging for us to fix things for you, you are being exactly like the character in the video at the bottom of post #1 from the enclosed link.

I did help you out, I gave you the link to that xml thread. It still didn't work for you, so you were told to use Mythtools. Mythtools is in the development section, not that hard to find, which is why devilsking told you to go search for it. the instructions are very clear in the Mythtools thread, so when you ask "what steps i have to do with the tool?", it's very clear that you did not read properly. so thats why i referred you to the noob thread.
If I can flash back to stock by reading the directions, so can you.
WARNING: BESURE YOU ARE UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER BEFORE FLASHING/DOWNGRADING FIRMWARE!
Some users dont notice our warning before flashing and they stuck/fail at bootscreen.
Note:
- For the option of installing CWM: plz rename the /system/etc/install-recovery.sh to install-recovery.sh.bak before installing. Sr all users who got trouble with this. I forgot this step =.= Will add in next version.
-----------------------------------------------------------
This tool is created by The Myth Team for Motorola Atrix HD
All comments to help improving tools are always welcome!
-----------------------------------------------------------
MAIN PARTS:
1. Installer ADB/FASTBOOT/APKTOOL for AHD
2. Flashing Tools for stock firmwares (compatible with ICS/JB of AT&T, BELL and Mexico AHD;
include options for installing CWM recovery, no needs to care about editing xml any more, just put firmware into our tools and it will do for you)
3. Flashing Recovery
4. Rooting Tools (Motochopper - By Dan Rosenberg; it's combined here to bring the convinience for users after
installing stock firmwares)
5. Unlocking Bootloader Tools (Motopocalypse - By Dan Rosenberg; it's combined here with the same target as
rooting tools but it's necesary for users who want to flash other carrier's firmwares on their AHD)
6. Dowload Motorola USB Driver (Lastest driver)
EXTRA PARTS:
3 Quick reboot Options
------------------------------------------------------------
HOW TO USE:
1. For the installer, just select option and it will open a new window, select Install button and it will install adb/fastboot/apktool to your windows. If your windows dont allow to install (due to UAC control), u can select installer in /tools folder and run it under administration mode. With this installer, u dont need sdk-platform anymore to use adb or fastboot. Just need to have JDK and it will run normally.
*Noobed down instructions - select option 1, and place files in any directory you intend to use.*
2. To flash stock firmware, you only have to download stock firmware (*.zip file) and put it in 'firmware' folder then run our tools. Follow its instructions and options to finish the flash process. Dont need to edit xml files and No more worries about failure with RSDLite. We have tested all firmwares of AHD (ICS 4.0.4, JB 4.1.1, 4.1.2 of Bell, AT&T, Mexico Retail) with our tools and they worked.
*Place stock files in firmware folder*
3. Option allows users to install cwm recovery or custom recovery (it's up to users). To flash custom recovery, you can place recovery image (*.img) to 'recovery folder and run the tools.
*Place custom recovery img in recovery folder*
4,5. This is popular and famous tools by Dan Rosenberg. I think I dont need to explain again
*Self explanitory*
6. This is link for Driver on Motorola site. Just in case you miss it or need to install again.
*Also self explanitory*
This tool does display directions on the screen as you go through the process, so its really dummy proof

OK thanks. I'll try with the mythtools.

I was unable to get myth tools to successfully complete any action I tried.
Rsd lite worked for after a few tries.
