Cyanogenmod - Sprint HTC One (M7)

Looks like we'll be getting some aosp soon...

Thanks. I've been dying to ask if anyone knows why there's no AS SP threads, but was afraid to offend. I would only buy this device if there us an AOSP maintainer, like deck on Evo LTE
Thank you.

Check out the irc. I don't wanna speak out of turn, but there are a couple familiar names working on it.

I saw cyanogen's google+ post showing they created a voice activated camera which would be fun, but between losing the quality of such an impressive camera as well as SenseTV's remote I think I'll stick to Sense. This thing flys anyway so I don't feel the need to strip Sense off to speed things up. An AOSP battery/clock/signal theme would be great though
I wonder if devs would be able to add the voice trigger feature to our Sense camera

Its only for the att version

It won't be long, someone will modify the build to work for sprint or they will have an official build for our phones.

i created a thread about this yesterday in the Q&A forum. someone in the thread said that viperboy was creating something that would allow us to flash international roms to ours, I cant confirm that viperboy is making such thing because I didn't hear viperboy say it himself.

Deck is already on it....

really?! that cool well now that i know its confirmed im excited! haha viperboy is one amazing dev! I've been rocking his roms since the E3D!

its being worked on by many of the top dogs in cm. as for main features, its almost ready. but tuning and everything might take some time. its on its way though.

I think this is one rom i won't be bothering with nightlies. Sense5 is actually pretty nice and all the headaches i was going through wit GPS and what not on the evo4g builds aren't worth it yet. Doubt they'll ever get stuff like zoe working though.

thats pretty amazing if you think about it it only been a week since the US release and the CM team has already got an alpha together, then theres all the other devs working on this phone viperboy had his rom stable the day it released in the US!

Toastcfh tweeted a screenshot yesterday... Is also running the Sprint version. Should be fun!

I heard on 5.2.13 we have a rekease party

This Is pretty amazing, and also couldn't we just take the camera apk and sense tv apk/correct binaries? to have them on the aosp rom?

This sense 5 ROM is pretty fast and smooth as is, would just like to have some options to flash. And CM always has some extra goodies...
Big ups to Viperboy btw! Thanks man.

Theme manager, to name a big one. And status bar brightness control (I'm a Nazi about screen brightness).

CM 10.1?

So I'm just curious, is there anyone taking on the Cyanogenmod 10.1 task for the HTC First? I'm not seeing a lot about it and just wanted to ask. Thanks!

I second this. I would happily support this effort via guinea pigging and beer money.

I second this as well. Thanks for bringing this up.
We've got at least one phenomenal dev (Jmz) working on this phone, so I would expect to see CM at some point. The kernel was just released, and prior to that, there wasn't much that could be done other than the stock rom. Despite that, he gave us Sense 4+. I don't want to speak for him, and certainly voicing a request is the best way to show interest, but I'd say be patient.
All that said, I cannot wait for CM!

Partially I agree, but partially I don't. He said in the thread for his Sense 4+ ROM that he's currently working on another big app project and that he doesn't have the First as a priority. That's what I gathered at least, but I'm still thankful there's something out there and that he's put the time in

I voted on Cyanogen. It has tweaks, but not as many as say PA or AOKP so in theory it shuold be less code to merge.

Right, but they take obnoxiously long to release anything since they always want it to be as bug free as possible. I'd say they will be 3rd or 4th. AOKP or Paranoid will do it first. My money is on AOKP or Slimbean.

I agree...I'd rather wait a week or 2 for a more complete ROM. Like I've mentioned in another post 4.3 is solid so far, just missing some tweaks here and there. I think PA will be the first major release.

I think it will be Cyanogen or AOKP to do it correct and smooth first. However I am currently using PA and it's pretty dope... So hopefully them
..
However more than likely it will be one of these built from everyone else's work Roms to put out a 4.3 release that's half baked .. Kills me how much attention people give others for "building" a ROM buy butchering real devs work..
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I hope pa, but it depends more on other apps working with 4.3. Like touchcontrol etc. I was supposed to keep this phone close to stock when I got it some weeks ago, but pie and dpi settings convinced me.
PA is merging with 4.3 as we speak. Probably see a build today or tomorrow

What happened to all these great Roms we were supposed to get?

Just curious where all these Roms for our Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 are?
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda premium
We have lots of them ..which "great one " are you waiting for :what:
Seems like many of the DEVs have left Sprint for Verizon and/or decided they like their Note2's better.A lot of the rest all seem to be obsessed with AOSP/AOKP/CM Roms despite the fact that it removes most of the functionality that makes this phone great.
Unfortunately the blind hatred of TouchWiz for no good reason is hurting this phone.
Learn to build your own rom.

Ya on all the aosp the cameras are not even close to the stock one"unless there is a stock camera apk .".I see your point.. really haven't looked at it like that..that being said I would still never go back .pacman with faux =:beer:
There are as many good roms for the Sprint version as there are for the others. Also, you guys should feel lucky that that Sprint has felt charitable enough to not lock this device down like Verizon and AT&T have as devs are indeed leaving those versions even as we speak.....

I don't even think I have seen a single Dev from either the epic touch community or gs3 go from sprint to Verizon.I've seen ATT and T-Mobile. Anyways we have many great devs in our community. And you can't expect every single one that you like to get the same phone as you. Since we don't all have upgrades at the same time. Some may have used it on a gs3 and now can't upgrade until gs5 or simply don't have the money to upgrade. We are all regular people. My guess is that by black Friday time we will have many more devs come over. This happened with the gs3. The number of Roms jumped a lot from what I remember since some people were able to get the gs3 for a penny with an upgrade.
And since when is there a blind hatred for touch wiz. Over the past two years I have seen more people prefer Touchwiz Roms over AOSP based. Easy comparison, check the number of posts and views of all aosp based Roms to that of touchwiz. And tell me which one has more. This goes for the sprint gs3 as well. From my view Touchwiz is the most stable and fully functional ROM for Samsung phones.

We have solid roms. Also take note this phone is still fairly new. Another thing to remember is that many people use stock rooted since this phone provides a rock solid experience. We got official cm support pretty much at launch the s2 never was like that
Too bad Calkulin went to another carrier.

I would absolutely absolutely absolutely love you if you could get AOKP on this phone. Life would be perfect and glorious.
AOSP style roms are desperately needed on this phone., I love this device but hate the lack of development for it. I wish I was more talented with technology or I would try cooking something up myself. Anyway's I'm looking forward to your progress good man and I will be following your post's diligently.
What's the update here? It's cool with me if things are still "two weeks" away. But whether or not it's still actually happening would be nice to know. I'm just hoping that Zombienaut still wants to make this happen.
On a similar vein, if one were a complete newb, does anyone know how that person could learn enough to be able to tweak AOKP for addition to this phone? How much work would it take to learn, and how/where would one go about getting started?
It's been a long and frustrating ordeal. Trying to work on this while having a job and going to school is making it take longer then expected. Progress is seemingly well, however. The ROM boots, but without working data, WiFi, etc. So please keep patient.

NexSense ROM General Discussion

Since the DEV-ONLY thread was getting OT and Noob questions, I thought I'd make this thread to take all that away from that thread and leave the devs to their work. So ask anything here about it until Galaxyuser creates a ROM thread. I'll be happy to answer questions as well.
If you would like some instructions on how to flash this ROM with MultiROM, here is a video made by Gavin96 that will walk you through step by step on how to do so.

And also, if you already have the ROM up and running, here is a little treat for Xposed users. Thank jonata in that post.

Yeah, i could tell people were getting irritated. Hopefully this will help the development of the ROM go a little faster. I didn't think I'd ever like anything other than stock Android but I'm liking Sense 6.
Sense looks better to me on the Nexus 5 than it does on an HTC phone.
Any idea till when it will get stable release, how much bugs are left for fix

There's quite a bit of work they need to do. The main one is sound and mic I think. Since we can't make phone calls without it. Until thats fixed, it can't be a daily driver unless you never take calls. Other things like the camera and certain sensors and NFC need to be fixed but can go without if needed.

Ok but i have heard that it breaks few sensors of many users and testers
That's going to be one heck of an undertaking although one may be able to cheat the sensors by using our libs and renaming them to match htc's version. I don't know how this guys doing his porting though.

Well one of the best things that the Nexus 5 has is MultiROM. Thanks to that, I have both sense and stock on my device. Best of both worlds.
Thanks for you thread it's really helpful for me
I'm impressed with how far it has gone already. Sure, no audio, nfc, or sensors, but the fact the RIL and Wifi work is enough to at least play around with for more than a few minutes. It actually runs really well for having very few bug fixes.
