Google play billing - 7 Mozart Accessories

So, I was wondering how Google play refund worked. I noticed that when ever I refunded an app in the 15 minutes, it didn't show up on my online banking, will it show up on my statement?
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app

Well, I would assume the Google would wait at least 15 minutes before billing you, so it probably wouldn't even show up in your statement, as Google would have never billed you in the first place. What happens is when you are billed, there is a temporary authorization posted onto your account. If the merchant then cancels the transaction before the temp authorization gets posted, the bank will just remove the authorization and releases those funds again. Hope I helped.

That's what I thought, thanks for the clarification.

ROM Manager Premium

I purchased ROM Manager Premium last night, it sent a email saying there was a problem with billing such as. Insufficient funds, etc which I know wasn't the case. So I cancel order within the 15 min period and retry. Now when I go to the Market it says I have purchased it, attempts to download then disappears, but always says "purchased". I know it's not the case because my card hadn't been charged for it. Any suggestions?

Same thing happned to me because I used the wrong Credit Card. It will stay in your buffer for one week and then it will remove itself. I don't think there is any other way to get rid of it until the week is up.

When I read the terms it said submit before, not on, the fourteenth I think so you may have missed deadline.
You should have had an email saying your app qualified for the free playbook. If you didn't get that email your out of luck.
If you do have an email saying it qualified you just have to hope your app is approved. Took five days from submitting mine to getting the email saying they would ship playbook so check if you had an email about your app being eligible.
They can be slow to respond though, was told friday they would ship it within 72 hours but not despatched yet and they are swamped with applications so might just not have got round to yours yet.

I got mail saying it really qualified for free playback. But nothing else, only if release has been sent for approval.

Got one doubt, I submitted early with an app but I don't think it will get approved so I submitted another app that is a calculator. I think it fine so, will 2nd app be eligible for the offer.

If they said it qualifies then as long as app is approved you will get a playbook. If you log in to the blackberry vendor page and check your apps you will see it says pending. If it says pending it just means they haven't checked it yet but mine said that and I had same email you seem to have so all you can do is wait a bit longer.

Google Nexus 7 disabled (shipping never received)

Anybody knows what happens to your Nexus 7 after you reported lost/stolen? What does Google disables? How long does it take for Google to send you a new one?
Called Google and they say the 2 level department that handles losses usually takes 3-4 days for them to reply to you after you reply with "I CONSENT" which authorizes Google to disable your previous device. I am on day 4 so far nothing...
What exactly are they going to disable if I never received it?
Sent from my DROID RAZR using xda app-developers app
I don't think they can technically disable it. They probably just use the information for warranty purposes in case the tablet is ever RMA'd and so your not held responsible for any unauthorized play store purchases. Now I could be wrong but this is most likely the case.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
Thanks for some of the info but still then why do they state on the email it will be disabled? Any other thoughts?
Sent from my DROID RAZR using xda app-developers app
I would think they remove any association with your Google account on the servers and might ban the device from being attached to your Google email/account.
It takes them a couple of days to contact the shipping company and do an investigation. They need to see if there was any signature, where the driver left the package, etc.
If they find your claim is on the up and up, I'm sure you will be sent a replacement shipment shortly.
Good luck.

Good question. Unless Google sends some sort of signal to the device once it connects to the internet that locks down the device, its hard to see how they could disable it.

Anyone using Google Wallet?

Excited to get my Nexus on Monday, and I was just wondering if anyone that has their phone is using Google Wallet yet?
I have really been wanting to use Google Wallet but have been locked in with Verizon who backs ISIS and says **** you to Wallet.

I have several times since receiving my phone yesterday; works great. Also was a nice conversation starter with the cute cashier behind the register.
I wanna use it so badly. I work at Cvs and I've pretty much been bragging about it to my colleagues. Can't wait to show off Google wallet.

Awesome, Glad to hear that! Haha.
I'm looking forward to trying it out for the first time. Maybe I can impress my wife? Lol but probably not.
I'm pretty new to how to use it/where you can use it ... I assume wherever the "Pay Pass" type things are you can use it? Nothing proprietary?

I used it for the first time today since getting my phone 2 days ago. The cashier looked at me like I was crazy and kept telling me to swipe my card. I had to stall her until it printed out a receipt. It will definitely take some time to catch on!

That's funny. I would have just looked at them awkwardly until the receipt printed. Then silently walked away.

Yes you can select the one you would like to use at that point in time..... there is a " select card" button. And if you want to use another card you just hit that button again for that card
From what I've heard and seen, you can select which one to use when you open the app. Can't be 100% sure on that as I've never used it, but hopefully someone can confirm.

Pretty much anywhere that has a PayPass terminal. I say "pretty much anywhere" because even if they do have it, they might actually have it turned off. Best Buy is one such place that has the terminals but has it shut down (tried it in the past at 3 different locations with my Galaxy Nexus). I've read that it's supposedly because it costs them too much to operate, but who really knows.
Off the top of my head of places I've used it in that all work: CVS, Rite Aid, Duane Reade, McDonalds, 7-Eleven, and BJ's Wholesale Club.
To help you out even further, download the Mastercard PayPass Locator app. It'll bring up a list of locations near your current location that should have the terminals installed.

It honestly doesn't matter what you tell them. It'll process as whatever your selected card is, but if it's a debit card you won't have to put in your pin number. Tap, and go.

Android in 1969?

Thought this was weird. I went to check for the latest update trying to pull the out to my phone and it gave me this.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
:laugh: You have a very old android phone
That would be because of the way computers keep time. The time on your machine is called from a base of 1/1/1970. That's when time starts for a computer. You can probably find a more detailed explanation on Google but that's the gist from my limited understanding on the matter. If you've cleared the cache for Google Services, it resets the last update checked to the date you saw as it is just before time starts.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
clearing Google Services Framework is not a good idea.. when you get ERROR retrieving information from server {RPC S-5: AEC -0 } in playstore , remove your Google account then add it again. You're welcome.
Let's face it.
Stop hiding from the truth.
Your phone is secretly a time dilation matrix.
Sometimes my SMS timestamps show 1969 too haha

Why is that? Apart from that play store issue, which also gets resolved.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
Thats a timestamp=0 issue.
Tiemstamps are counted as seconds or milliseconds from 1.1.1970 ... which looks suspiciously close to 31.12.1969-
I actually received a blank email from 1969. When I logged on to my email account on PC, I found that it was a valid email from AT&T letting me know my bill was available for online viewing and payment.

When I cleared my Google services framework to force the upgrade, that date was on my "last checked for upgrade" momentarily then the update showed up. I must be Google's default day one.
