WARNING: BESURE YOU ARE UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER BEFORE FLASHING/DOWNGRADING FIRMWARE!
It's nearly 11 months since the last update v1.2. Now I will introduce the new version of Myth Tools with a big improvement.
Thanks to all your comments which helps me to complete the features of Myth Tools. All feedbacks are always welcome.
Please read instruction carefully before using. Thank you.
BR,
DK

If you stucks after flashing back to stock rom from custom rom, maybe this method should help you to fix it:
Credit for skeevydude
The fix is simple. Boot into Philz, format the internal sd, set the internal sd mount point to /data/media, reboot, format it again, and done. I'm assuming you don't keep anything important on the internal sd...
The issue is multiuser support in 4.2+ roms screws with our 4.1 stock roms. 4.2+ uses /data/media/0 for the main user's "internal sd" then /data/media/1 then /data/media/2 and so on and so forth for each additional user. You don't have to format, but if you were on Carbon, only changed the mount point, flashed to stock, then later down the line you install CM or Slim, your crap from Carbon will still be there under /data/media/0 and could cause issues with the newer rom.
EDIT:
A format of /data might fix this too, but you'll still have to check and/or change the mount point. The internal sd is stored on /data.

This tool is created by The Myth Team for Motorola Atrix HD
All comments to help improving tools are always welcome!
-----------------------------------------------------------
MAIN PARTS:
1. Installer ADB/FASTBOOT/APKTOOL for AHD (Use for parts below and further modding)
2. Flashing Tools for stock firmwares (compatible with ICS/JB of AT&T, BELL and Mexico AHD;
include options for installing CWM recovery, no needs to care about editing xml any more, just put firmware into our tools and it will do for you)
3. Flashing Recovery
4. Rooting Tools (Motochopper - By Dan Rosenberg; it's combined here to bring the convinience for users after
installing stock firmwares)
5. Unlocking Bootloader Tools (Motopocalypse - By Dan Rosenberg; it's combined here with the same target as
rooting tools but it's necesary for users who want to flash other carrier's firmwares on their AHD)
6. Dowload Motorola USB Driver (Lastest driver)
7. Lockscreen Mod
8. Mod for ADBD Insecure
EXTRA PARTS:
4 Quick reboot Options
------------------------------------------------------------
HOW TO USE:
1. For the installer, just select option and it will open a new window, select Install button and it will install adb/fastboot/apktool to your windows. If your windows dont allow to install (due to UAC control), u can select installer in /tools folder and run it under administration mode. With this installer, u dont need sdk-platform anymore to use adb or fastboot. Just need to have JDK and it will run normally.
2. To flash stock firmware, you only have to download stock firmware (*.zip file) and put it in 'firmware' folder then run our tools. Follow its instructions and options to finish the flash process. Dont need to edit xml files and No more worries about failure with RSDLite. We have tested all firmwares of AHD (ICS 4.0.4, JB 4.1.1, 4.1.2 of Bell, AT&T, Mexico Retail) with our tools and they worked.
3. Option allows users to install cwm recovery or custom recovery (it's up to users). To flash custom recovery, you can place recovery image (*.img) to 'recovery folder and run the tools.
4,5. This is popular and famous tools by Dan Rosenberg. I think I dont need to explain again
6. This is link for Driver on Motorola site. Just in case you miss it or need to install again.
7. It provides a various theme for lockscreen of stock firmware by modding framework
8. It will mod automatically the boot.img to allow the true adb root with adb command (eg. "adb remount" to full read-write system..). It mainly is useful for stock firmware while custom rom always has.

You can try to go back to JB while I figure out what happened to you. Plz provide information asap then I can help u.
Edit 1: I have tried to flash Bell ICS and it booted normally. Now I will try ATT ICS again =.='

PLEASE DO NOT come into my thread and bash/flame anyone or anything about this thread. If you have a problem with it please PM me and we can resolve it that way. I don't want my thread cluttered with links to other ROMS/KERNELS/GUIDES/ETC........
I will in the future be making another thread to keep track of all the ROMS and from what variant they originate from
IRC Server = irondust.net

Alright now that we have this downloaded. Extract the zip to your desktop or wherever you want to keep it for safe keeping.
Let's get started
First we need to get to know your buttons on the tab
It can be a little tricky for newcomers when navigating through recovery/download options.
P = POWER, D = VOLUME DOWN, U = VOLUME UP
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",

Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons
You will see this screen below
Release the Power button but still hold the Volume Down button.
The next screen you will see will look like this:
This is your bootloader screen with obiviously TWO options.
Volume Down Button Navigates
Volume Up Button Selects
To Get Into Download Mode Make Sure This Is Highlighted:
To Get Into Recovery Mode Make Sure This Is Highlighted:
This is what Download Mode will look like after you have selected the correct ICON by pressing the Volume Up button.
There are two screens you will see.
The First:
And The Second:
When you are in Download Mode open up ODIN3_v1.85.exe
Plug your tablet into the PC.
For tutorials on ODIN3 I will leave that up to QBKING77 and his AWESOME YOUTUBE VIDEOS
When you see the yellow box lit up
Select the PDA Button
Find the recovery.tar.md5.
This is CLOCKWORKMOD 5.5.0.4
Hit start.
The process will last oh I'd say about................................... 7 seconds
You will see a Green Pass box lit up as well.
The Tablet will reboot on its own.
After the tab has booted up leave your Tablet plugged into the PC.
[EDIT:]
IF FLASHING A CUSTOM ROM IS YOUR GOAL
THEN STOP HERE AND DOWNLOAD THE ROM OF YOUR CHOICE
99.9% OF THE DEVELOPERS PRE-ROOT THEIR MAGNUM-OPUS
PUT IT ON THE ROOT OF YOUR SDCARD/USBSTORAGE
FLASH THAT VIA CWM
IF YOUR GOAL IS TO JUST OBTAIN ROOT ACCESS
FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW.
Click to collapse
Put the [COLOR="#00000"]Samsung_Galaxy_Tab_10.1_root.zip[/COLOR] onto the ROOT of your SDCARD/USBSTORAGE.
Next we want to power the tab off.
With the Tablet off boot into Recovery Mode
Now I always Wipe/Data Factory Reset 3X, Wipe Cache 3X and Wipe Dalvik Cache 3X as well.
I do this because I'm anal and it's less chance of things going wrong with the flash so make sure you have everything backed up you need.
However wiping all this from CWM will NOT delete your SDCARD/USBSTORAGE.
After you have wiped everything........
Select Install zip from sdcard
Then choose zip from sdcard
Then select your Samsung_Galaxy_Tab_10.1_root.zip
Then select YES.
Let it do it's thing then select reboot system now.
After it boots up HOORAY!!!!! YOU ARE ROOTED!!! Now you can delete all the system apps your little hearts desire.
Enjoy!!
If you happen to delete something you shouldn't have please follow the steps below
Now for the UNROOTING PROCESS!!
First thing to do is to make a backup of anything on your SDCARD/USBSTORAGE you might need.
Boot your Tablet into Download Mode
Plug your Tablet into your PC and wait for it to connect.
Select the PDA Button and then select the P7510XABKMP_P7510UEKMP_HOME.tar file
Hit Start and that process should take a couple minutes as it will put your Tablet back to the Factory ROM and Recovery and Kernel Images.
After it finishes it should reboot. You are going to want to power it down and boot into
Recovery Mode.
After you are in the factory Recovery Mode as seen above you are going to want to do a Wipe Data/Factory Reset and Wipe Cache Partition 3X's. This will ensure that you are complete stock and it will wipe your SDCARD/USBSTORAGE
Congrats YOU ARE UNROOTED AND NOW ALLOWED TO RECEIVE OTA'S VIA SAMSUNG!!!

You can flash the root zip file without wiping the data and cache. It will work.
OP have written so to make sure no issues arise because of flashing i guess.

You don't need to flash the ROM to root... the zip I used to root my tab was like 5MB not 300!

Did you even read the OP fully?
The zip in the OP contains all the files required for rooting and unrooting.

So before you decide come in my thread and ***** about something read the whole OP first.
Nowhere in my guide does it say you have to flash a ROM to root.
So as Centinal Prime said "I'll overlook your condescending tone if you heave the gravity of mine"
READ THE OP FIRST BEFORE YOU COMMENT!!
This is one reason I hate posting guides on here. People don't search or read before they act on things. Remind me never to make a one-click-root for anything.

[TUTIRIAL] How tooos? { Error Mounting /data! }
Update whole thread this week. Sorry guys i lost my m :highfive:
3. INFO and Q/A -
Q: Ace 5830 i/M/C ?
As per my search almost every thing is same. They just point to shipping continents. i / M / C. The i is made to Spain and countries in Asia. 's M apparently Chile and some Latin American countries. The C is for Brazil. So, U can flash all the roms and use unbrick tutorial on your phone
PDA, Phone and CSC.
PDA == build version of the firmware
Phone == baseband / modem version
CSC == consumer software customization and it is specified to geographical region and carriers. CSC contains the software packages specific to that region, carrier branding and also APN settings for data connection, MMS for your service provider. And you can change CSC if you have Multi CSC packages.
####Note –Changing this will factory reset your phone. Do backup before perform this task.
How to change CSC?
Just type *#272*Device IMEI# at Phone dial pad. For IMEI type *#06#.
Select the CSC that you want.
Click Install.
Phone will be rebooted by itself.
####Note –Changing this will factory reset your phone. Do backup before perform this task.
####Note – CSC can sometime be corrupt. It may lead to infinite loop. Reason unkown.
Q: Flashing any firmware to my phone will erase the network lock?
A: NO. The network (or SIM) lock still remain active. By flashing firmware you can't deactivate the lock. It's stored elsewhere.
Q: Flashing an operator specific firmware will restrict my open phone to that operator's network?
A: NO. Your phone still remain open for any SIM. Operator specific builds usually containing "only" bloatwares, wallpapers and/or browser settings, etc...
Q: Is it possible to update the PDA or MODEM only?
A: Yes, You can update any one component independently if you have a good reason for, but remember: recommended to have consistent components
[*]Q: Where is the bootloader tar and pit file when extracted .tar file?
[*]A: those are not used for a Kies like update. You can find .pit in odin attachment above and bootloader in other S5360i firmware bundles like the one mentioned in unbrick tutorial and use if you really need it, but not necessarily needed for flashing
Q: Do I need to tick repartition?
A: NO! Leave all check-boxes as default!
Q: Really??? Do not tick repartition?
A: REALLY, I told You! Leave it unticked!!! ...And leave bootloader empty as well! COPY THAT?!?!?!
Q: Kies says "cannot update this firmware" after flashing rom?
A: No one gives **** what kies says..... Well kies sks. Odin works well. We dont need kies. My guess is due to change in CSC... !

Firmware package - It is samsung original OS that will be flashed using odin. These firmware are available on sammobile.com (a single file) but they cant be directly flashed using odin. So we have to make them flashable using odin You can get it in two ways:
Firmware repacked by me -
These are the firmware that have been repacked by me and can be directly flashed using odin.
Choose the Country and download the zipped file. Unzip it and watch the unbrick video down below.
If firmware for your country is not available use open australia or go to 2 and learn how i created these repacks.
Open Australia - {S5830IXXLA4_S5830IOXXLA2_ATO Repacked} - [Download] ***PASSWORD = mod2xtreme.com***
India INS - {S5830i_XXLF3_ODDLF1_DDLF1_INDIA_INS} - [Download]

Learn and make your own repack -
Providing package for every ace i of different countries is very difficult so you have to do some work.
[*]Go to "Flashing ORIGINAL Samsung Firmware/ Going back to Stack Rom" down below tutorial to learn how to make a Repacked package yourself just like one i created above.
[*]Using tutorial "Flashing ORIGINAL Samsung Firmware/ Going back to Stack Rom", 3 files CSC, modem and PDA will be extraced. [*] An additional file Bootloader (link) is requires with other 3. It has been attached below.
[*]So, Simply first watch the "Flashing ORIGINAL Samsung Firmware/ Going back to Stack Rom" tutorial first, get the files and get to this tutorial after that.
[*][Watch Video Tutorial Down below ]
[*]###Note - Diver problem - (Link)
[*]
[*]To restore Samsung recover as default recover... follow the above unbrick tutorial. What this means is that u suppose your phone is brick and you want to unbrick... So just follow above tutorial and every thing will be normal as it was .

3. Flashing ORIGINAL Samsung Firmware/ Going back to Stack Rom -
I was asked by no of users to provide them original frameworks for their ace i.......Doing so for different frameworks id just impossible for me to upload. So for all those who want to go back to the original framework just follow the tutorial.
By flashing an improper firmware pack you may potentially risk the health of your phone. Do it on your own risk only!
I won't take responsibility of any damage done to your phone.
So, lets begin by things you will need:
Check Fus Downloader - (LINK) "not working as of 23/12/2012. Download tar file from sammobile.com. Search ur mobile."
SplitFUS - (LINK) # Download GUI version.
Cygwin - (LINK)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Downloading .tar file for your phone
You can download .tar country framework single file by two ways :
From http://www.sammobile.com/ directly. Find your country latest file and download.
By using Check Fus Downloader - Watch video below
2. Extract files from .tar and flash via odin

Also, please don't post direct links. It would be best to direct the readers to the ROM's thread. If the ROM doesn't have one, it shouldn't be listed since it's not tested.

If a ROM doesn't have its own thread, one can consider it's dead. All updates may or may not be made by the same author -if a company has no building, no address, no phone number, how can you trust it? And if you trust it once, how do you know the next dude who pretends to be from it is genuine?
EDIT: Also refer to post #6. Notice the question? "What's not working?". This is another reason why a ROM must have its thread. If it doesn't, where do all bug reports go? How will it ever get improved? As I've said, it's dead.

PER-APP-COLOR,
Paranoidandroids newest invention. Define apps in your regular hybrid panel (same that allows you to scale apps individually and choose their interface). See your phone fade into the color definition of your current app, press home or go elsewhere and it fades back. Create as many combinations you like, you can even dabble with opacity. This feature is made possible by our hybrid engine, which is unique to this rom.

To be honest, this is not tablet mode at all, it has nothing to do with silly build.prop hacks. This is the first and only Android rom to feature true Hybrid mode. This rom lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even systemcomponents individually. Remember, android is modular, everything is an app: Lockscreen, navigationbar, dialogs, popups, keyboards, widgets, and your regular apps of course. Apps have the capability to switch into various designs or layouts according to the device they run on. This can result in a complete new experience as many apps will transform to the better.
Now for every element that you like chose a mode (PhoneUI, Phablet/Nexus-7UI, TabletUI) and/or a size. You are 100% independent of the system DPI which runs nicely in whatever value it has been assigned to. You do not need to boot your phone into a certain DPI. Neither will most of the changes you apply require a reboot. You will not suffer from the myriads of troubles which normally haunt you under build.prop tablet mode. Your market, phone, etc. will all work, apps won't shrink on you unless you shrink them yourself. This project will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the feel of your phone.

If you have an issue and you want to call our attention, here's what you do:
1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
2. Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

Jrongi1, I figured I'll test this rom out and get bored soon but no way, I can't stop playing with it! Top 1 or 2 in my book and it's initial release, nicely done. I running it with Sema 212v...Can we say Bacon!!! Superuser wasn't sticking maybe cuz I wiped the system partition prior but I got it up by flashing su 3.2 zip. Just in case someone runs into the same issue http://downloads.noshufou.netdna-cdn.com/superuser/Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed.zip

Ok, long time no flash for me here (it's been like 6 mths):
I'd like to flash this ROM from an ICS ROM (ICS Passion 13.1) but I have a few questions:
1. Can I go ahead and flash this right from an ICS ROM or do I have to ODIN back to stock?
2. I made it to ICS but I've still got the Froyo bootloader, do I need to upgrade it to a GB bootloader?
3. Any special instructions I should adhere to that's not in the OP (other than backup, don't restore system apps, fix permissions)?
TIA.

All the standard flashing tips are good. You will most likely have a problem coming from passion, but that's just passion. Bootloaders are your choice.

Just for better measures, flash the GB bootloader, then go ahead and flash this. If that doesn't work, flash Hellybean first (must have GB bootloader for this) and then flash this. That's the way I did it.

INSTALLING A CUSTOM ROM
Download the ROM image, which is usually a zip archive, and copy it into the root folder of your SD card.
Important: you do not unzip the .zip file - just copy it as is.
You can do it by
attaching the phone with a USB cable and selecting the option of mounting the SD card to be used as a drive on the computer
or
unmounting the SD card, physically taking it out of the phone, and inserting into your own card reader
or
downloading the ROM straight from the phone browser
Once you've copied the ROM image, you can proceed to flashing it
Flash It
The process of installing new firmware or low-level system software in general is called flashing.
We will be flashing the new custom ROM over the stock one that came with your phone.
And Reboot to recovery...
For booting to CWM recovery /TWRP recovery
Go to advance boot option in developer option and enable it
and long press power menu
for manual booting switch off the phone and
Press both volume + ,volume - and the home button together with the power button
release all buttons expect power button when we get a vibration and
release the power button after the lg logo has appered
this will let you get in the recovery menu
back up existing ROM (which you should do unless you've already backed up manually) from back up and restore
then
wipe data and wipe cache, which you should only do if you want to do a clean install, i.e. when upgrading from the stock ROM. Note: this does not wipe your SD card data - it only wipes the phone's internal memory.
and wipe dalvic cache too in advance option
and after that click in install from sd card
The ROM you downloaded should show up in the list. If it doesn't, make sure you've put it into the root folder of the SD card.
and click INSTALL

FAQ AND QUESTIONS
Code:
What is the root?
In the most literal sense, root is a part of a plant that typically lies below the surface of the soil. Rooting a smartphone is completely different: by rooting users can gain privileged access to Android’s subsystem (or root access). This is useful for accessing data, making backups, or changing the "base" of your smartphone, such as the Android (ROM) interface.
How does rooting work?
By rooting an Android device, you basically install a new kernel. A kernel is the conductor that will tell the software how to use the hardware portion of your device. Very simply put, the new kernel allows for more access and more customizable access to your devices hardware.
What is a Custom Rom?
A ROM is an Android-based system. This is actually the system that you use. TouchWiz is the rom developed by Samsung, the HTC Sense, etc ... We talk about custom rom (Custom) when the developer of the ROM is an independent group or individual. For example, CyanogenMod is a custom ROM for example, based on Android "pure".In detail, this is a set of consistent data with a chip ROM (read only memory), present on your smartphone.
What is CWM ?
CWM or Clock Work Mod is a custom recovery for android which repalaces the orginal recovery given by manufacture,It has more options and support than the stock one
What Does Custom roms do?
Custom roms has no boltwares and other apps which increases the RAM usage ,thus its lag free and smooth

Can you add also how to update official ROM, downgrade from v20 to v10, flashing baseband, reverting from custom to stock & vice versa.
What else, hmmm I'll post if I can think or remember.
There's a lot of guide scattered, hope this will be put in one place. So that a noob or new user ask common question will be point or be directed to this post.
And if ever this one will be updated and most of the howto's and common questions and guides then it would be nice this will be stickied.
