Need quick help! Note korean SHV.... - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

First of all, hello everyone! Second, sorry for my english because it's not my native language. Third, here comes the question. My friend have a noteKorean SHV-e160k and just flashed jelly bean 4.1.2 by random guy on the street and i dont know it's official or custom but it is completely the same as note n7000. The only problem is; in setting>more setting(network section) >mobile networks, there is no "mobile data" tickbox. In notification slide down, there is no mobile data toggle as well. Is it firmware corruption or there is no ability to disble it on korean note? Im looking for help, if someone can help i will ask that random guy about jb file and send to u. Or if there is instruction to enable it in build.prop please be quick. It's draining money because internet in our country is expensive. Thanks and sorry for asking korean devices here because there is no korean note forum.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app

I am not sure if that can be done by modifying build.prop but you need to be rooted to modify anything like that
Why dont you try flashing another stock firmware
Before that, try using any mobile data toggle apps in playstore something like this

Anycall Galaxy S?

hi guys
I just got a Galaxy S but its branded from Any Call Provider from Korea its openline but I have no idea how to change firmware or roms or is it safe since its from korea.

PDA:M110S.DG14.0001
PHONE:M110S.DG07.1842.ST
TIA
do not even try
many who have tried flashing the i9000 ROMs on the Korea mode, ended up with a brick
you can only use official Korean releases
just change the language to English and use it as is.
Thanks for the early response.
So there is no any chance I can change it to other firmware?
Keyboard keeps still have Korean and too many korean programs.
I just want a base firmware. Like a general firmware.
I'd get in touch with your local Samsung service center, and be very friendly with the people there, so much that you build rapport with them that they'd go out of their way to get in touch with someone high up.
your Galaxy from anycall is not the one with the amoled 3.7" screen and tv tuner ?

That's an inherent limitation on SK Telecom networks, KT and LGU+ networks have a 90 byte limit.
Seems as though the anycall galaxy is even more of a pain in the butt to hack/customize...

i wish if there was any developer that study how to flash firmware or hack this SHW-M110S? I send message alots and it's quite uncomfortable to write message under 80 char. Anyway, could any one tell me when this SHW-M110S is upgraded to froyo 2.2?
Does any one know how to check IMEI of this SHW-M110S? I used *#06# but it didn't work!( *#1234# still working) ?

Can't find it on the new firmware, all the secret codes that I've tried have stopped working for me. So have the apps that automatically bring these up. If you are still looking for it, I'll look tomorrow. Post here if you are still looking for it:

Yeah Please give us the solution because we have the same problem here!
Your SIM card has a dedicated number, and sometimes the network provider does not encode it. You have to find an Old Nokia phone, or Sony Ericsson that has a "My Numbers" feature, that you can edit and encode. When you have that, just put your number there with the designated country code...ex. +63917XXXXXX...
I also have Anycall M110S but I scrowed up without by flashing & bymistake my old PIT is stored. My Phone is not working now. I tried to update it to 2.2 Friyo Firmware. Can you please share your old firmware from kies backup?

[Q] How do I root my Telstra Galaxy Note GT-N7000B?

G'day all.
I've been searching, and I'm unsure on what to use to root my Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000B (Telstra). It's a slightly different model number, and I just want to know is there a way to root the thing and install CWM without bringing up a triangle and increasing the counter? I already purchased MobileOdin btw.
Model: GT-N7000B
Firmware: GINGERBREAD.DVLC1
Kernel: 2.6.35.7-N7000BDVLC1-CL1006149 [email protected] #2
Baseband: N7000BDVLB2
Thanks
Have you tries superoneclick, rooting will remove the Telstra ****

Nope, no go, it's not directly rootable. Has anyone rooted an N7000B?
Why would you want to root it, that's what your wife or gf is for. jokes aside let me know how you go I just got mine on Tuesday and am yet to root it .
Well I am not sure if anyone has tried an N7000 rom on an N7000B. I didn't want to end up with a shiny new brick, thats why I asked here. I already have done a search and all I got was vague answers. Has anyone successfully flashed/gained root access on an N7000B?

I'm sure it would be fine. I am running ics on my N7000 but shows as I9220 in baseband as it's based on Chinese leak ROM with same hardware.

I would also like to know this. My phone is exactly as above (also from telstra au)
...I dont really care about the yellow triangle or counter though(I can sort that out later when there is more support for this model)
I would like to be sure that the process will not brick the phone, this would suck as its only 2 days old .
best if I know that someone else has done it first
thanks.
The n7000b is just a firmware. you can flash another firmware (and it will not brick your phone). the only down side to this is you won't be able to go on the telstra mobile websites, eg. mobile foxtel,
Anyone brave enough to try to root this one?
I just got my note today and would really like root access....
bump
I'm interested in seeing how this goes as well. The itch to root and flash something better than Telstra's rubbish is growing but I am nervous about the process (it seems vastly different to my old Desire).
I find the stock rom not too bad.. GREAT battery life, the only thing I want root for is to record my calls (use it for work).
I have a call recorder installed on my stock Note that doesn't require root. Got it off the market too.
It's called Call Recorder.....

Anyone done this yet?
I tried the call recorder apps off the Market but none seem to record properly, they just use the speaker.
My note originally from Poland (!) bought via UK back in early November (can't believe I've had my wonderful toy for over six months now!) Given that there were very few Notes back then and next to none in Oz, I was very nervous about rooting and flashing - the challenge you are facing today. I spend many days reading nearly all the threads before biting the bullet and doing my first root!
All I can recommend you do is read Dr Ketan's flashing guide very carefully and make sure you have a backup. I've had a few nervous moments with black screen but always been able to recover by rebooting into recovery and restoring a backup. I'm on Telstra and never had a problem with any firmware I've used (I don't using Telstra Foxtel)
I know that the latest version requires you to flash an older version of ROM before you can root, but once done you can remove all the annoying rubbish and use great programs like Titanium backup to backup and restore the apps you want and freeze the CPU hogs!
I hope that helps you - my experience was different and I felt very alone the first few times I flashed (never having done it before) but the forums have been a godsend in helping.
PS I have never used Mobile Odin - I have found that CWM does all I need it to
So if the WiFi freezes on the N7000B, would it use a different WiFi chip or something? I did hear that the N7000B supports 5GHz and 2.4GHz where the N7000 supports 2.4 only. Not sure if this is true
Hi, I've had the n7000B for awhile now. and flashed most of the firmwares from n7000 model with no problems. been on GB, ICS. all spec about these models are the same. but still haven't found out why this is B on our model.
anyway it is safe to flash n7000 on n7000b!

[Q] Samsung Galaxy 7.7 change the Chinese Version into International Version

Dear Experts,
I am a really Android Newbie and a few day ago I bought here in China the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, P6800 with Chinese firmware.
Great tablet, but very limited access to international websites and apps
With the help of a friend we rooted the tablet with Odin, installed the recovery clock mod and tried to upload a new firmware. Unfortunately something went wrong. We tried everything that is possible in the mod menu (the menu where the tiny Android is in the back). We tried to recover, to update (we even extracted the recovery.img from the .tar file), used the wipe date and wipe... and did a factory reset. Nothing happens and the tablet was unable to restart and even unable to turn off. The Samsung screen freezes.
At least we went to the store where I bought the tablet and received a new one with Chinese firmware.
Now I am / we are back to beginning and would like to know more about how to change the chinese firmware into the European, at least Hong Kong Version.
I try to describe, what we would like to know, but as you know I am not an expert like you are
How to flash a firmware without using Odin from mod menu (menu, where the little Android is in the back)?
We
Where to get a suitable firmware for my tablet, that will help me to have an open version like Europe / Hong Kong?
How to flash back from mod menu to Chinese version - in worst case?
Can anybody help me?
Thanks for your kind support, Jenny

I really dont know the benefit from 10-posts limit but however... I have to post 10 posts before I can ask in Artemis ROM thread this question:
1.) To everyone how flashed with HSPL 3.03.00000, what RAM utilization do you have after opneing all tabs?
2.) To Sternas, Would it be a great idea to remove all the Windows Live and Marketplace apps which doesnt have any functionality since Microsoft gave Wndows Mobile up?
3.) To Sternas: Thank you for this ROM!

Yes the "T" in the name is just the Telstra branding, if you follow ausdims rooting thread you will be fine

The 'T' in the model number isn't branding. The phone is actually slightly different.
I have a friend who works for Telecom here in NZ and they also sell the I9305T.
He said it is optimised for use on Telecom's network (and obviously Telstra's too) it uses different modems and the antenna is different inside the phone.
They do however use the same ROMs and firmware. Anything intended for the I9305 will also work the same on the I9305T, except modems.

Hello everyone!
New to this forum and new to Android phone. I have searched the whole forum and read through the dev-sections. Also did searches on multiple sites and through searchengines to find out what device model to use in the ToolKit...didn't find any confirming answer to my question.
As I have no posts from before, I couldn't write this in the dev-section, so I chose the thread that was closest to what I was looking for.
Question: What is the correct device model to choose in the ToolKit (I have version 7.0.0).
Information from my "about section"...
Phone: Samsung Galaxy SIII 4G
Model: GT-I9305
Android-version: 4.1.1
Build: JRO03C.I9305XXALK5
Operator: Telenor (Norway)
The options I lean towards since the only choice showing 4G, is number 21 (International 4G).
Problem is that it says it's GT-I9305N and not GT-I9305. It also says (Build JRO03C ALIA) and that does not match to my build either.
Then I look at the (International LTE), which says (GT-I9305)...which is ok.
And then number 14, which says (Build JRO03C ALK5), which is the same as mine...but it doesn't say 4G, which I have.
It might sound silly, but I really dont want to make the wrong choice here and end up having a phone that either "does not work at all"
or "does not work as it should". And before anyone says that I then should just leave it alone, my only intention at this point is to let
my anti-virus get root-access, so that the firewall works and the anti-theft works.
Hope anyone can be of help and thanks in advance.

Ok, so I rooted my device yesterday after reading through like 10 more threads...just took a chance, thought to myself "guts and glory" and went for it..went well =) I chose option 14 the build was the same as mine and it worked like a charm.
I am still left with a few quesitons though...might not be relevant to the thread anymore...
Does the rooting share the same build-match requirement as the flashing of a new operatingsystem?
How do I uninstall apps that were preinstalled on an operatorlocked phone?
Anders - Norway
I think you should look for app in app store, Root App delete or something like that. Then search for you operator apps/files and remove.

1. Bootloader is allready unlocked
2.For how to root look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2255190&highlight=how+to+root
3. Flash custom recovery, would advice this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxZf39vI0Lc. Download the .tar.md5 and flash with Odin in PDA.
4. Go to the CM thread and download the latest nightly and Gapps (Google apps) and place on the sdcard.
5. Go in recovery and wipe cache, dalvik cache, format system and data factory reset and then flash the CM rom and Gapps right after another without rebooting, reboot and you`re done.

[Q] Gt-i9220 to N7000 Jelly Bean

Hi, I just received an i9220 from my Chinese girlfriend which is basically the same Galaxy Note as the N7000 only with a different code and firmware. Now being in the US and the i9220 being bloated with Chinese crap apps and no Google Play store, I am trying to convert the i9220 to N7000 firmware. I saw a couple threads having it done under ICS, but none under Jelly Bean. Could you guys help me with the required files and steps to do this operation?
Thanks.
These are the specs :
not very sure.. but i think the N7000 roms will work on this phone as it has the same hardware.. but still do it at your on risk..
It did work by using the n7000 official Hong Kong rom available on sammobile. It works perfectly well with the Play store and all the Google apps this is great! The only small problem is a small yellow rectangle upon bootup. I guess I could live with that.
So to confirm, it is safe to use a n7000 rom.

Since i was on Wifi the whole time I just realized that my mobile data doesn't work...
I get proper signal seeing the E-3G-H-H+ depending on my location, seeing the download upload arrows working, but there is no access to internet or to any other app.
What do you recommend me to do?
