First of all - Please format your posts into paragraphs. People don't like reading a wall of text and will probably make it less likely for you to receive help.
(Im going to assume you haven't made a Nandroid backup and made a safe copy)
I'm new to Android a couple of months so there will be people on here with more experience than me who might be able to help you with an easier/quicker method, but this is what I would do:-
Download the latest Android Revolution HD (a Sense-based ROM that is the same as stock but better - read about it), other Sense-based ROMs are available but I like ARHD.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2183023
Rename it to something like arhd.zip
Use the All-in-one-toolkit to side-load the ROM to your phone. It will begin to install automatically. Use the volume/power keys to install - it makes it less likely for the installer to crash.
There would be no need to root as ARHD comes already rooted.
You could also look/ask around for a Nandroid backup of your device/carrier and adb side-load to your phone but that would be more work for you. This would put your phone back to stock like new again. The best guide I've seen on here for people new to flashing, backups, etc. is here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265618
**Tampered** happens I think when you flash a custom recovery. S-ON is normal - don't worry about it.
Good Luck. Hope I've helped...
If I've made any mistakes here, someone please correct me...

To be honest mate I can't totally remember, I've only used it once and it's been a few weeks since I messed my phone up and had to use the toolkit sideload to fix it. I'm on a Mac at the moment so can't even check. It wasn't too hard to figure out though!
The toolkit (by hasoon) you already have is the toolkit I'm talking about. Sideload is just installing the ROM from somewhere else when it's not stored on your phone. (i.e. on your PC).
The installer (if you get that far) is called 'Aroma' and quite buggy when using the touchscreen so just use the volume keys to move around the options and the power button to select them.

Ty lol, Im currently using volume and power button to moving in the bootloader, it a brand new phone and im panic lol. Ill try all of that tomorrow

I was too, but if you can reach the recovery screen then it will be ok and there will be a way of fixing it somehow.

Like I said, I can't remember 100%, but its in the toolkit under 'Extras' -> 'Sideload a ROM' or something similar. It might even guide you through the steps. There's probably guides and videos online somewhere. Just call your zip file something simple to help reduce the chance of error.
Not sure I understand what you're saying... If you press recovery, you're taken to the recovery screen?

the tool work from fastboot mode in bootloader. so you must be in bootloader to use it but the toolkit has options that will boot the phone into bootloader

Tried what before? When you press 'fastboot' on the device nothing major happens on the phone - it's waiting for commands from your PC.

Try to push it to your device without the toolkit. Read this site
http://m.androidcentral.com/android-201-10-basic-terminal-commands-you-should-know
Use adb push command to send the ROM to your phone while in fastboot mode. Once it's on your phone, just go into recovery and install it from zip.
Place the 'android-tools' folder you download from that site directly onto your c:/ drive, not on your desktop etc. It just makes it easier.

Forgot to say - put the arhd.zip ROM into that folder also.
Try to go into recovery first to see what folders you have, if any. I had a folder called '0' when I messed up so my command would have been
adb push arhd.zip /sdcard/0

3.41 bootloader info from google support

Well I decided to call Google about the boot loader recovery not working as it should. I was hoping this call would help them to work on another update but they say that's the way its supposed to work. Here's the email Instructions:
1. Power down your device
2. Press and hold both volume keys and the power button to enter
Bootloader mode
3. Press the volume keys to cycle to the Recovery mode option
4. Press the power button to select Recovery mode
5. From the Recovery mode screen, press and hold the Power button then
press the Volume up button.
6. Use the volume buttons to select wipe data/factory reset.
7. Select Yes -- delete all user data.
8. The factory data reset process will now start. Once its finished,
select 'Reboot system now.'
The only option we have in the new recovery is to wipe data. Maybe for those having problems accessing twrp or cwm will be able to a access it with step 5. I don't know haven't rooted yet. So I decided to ask about nvflash and they said they're not going to release any nvflash tools or files.
um, yup. thats how stock bootloader and stock recovery work. lol
whats the issue? if your not even rooted, you wouldn't even know if you have an issue or not with the new bootloader.
Are you saying that you can't flash a different recovery? Or that when you do you still get the same stock recovery? I'm not quite sure what the issue is here, because that is exactly how the stock bootloader, and recovery are supposed to work.
Are you making sure to unlock fastboot before trying to flash recovery. I don't recall seeing or hearing anyone say anything about not being able to get to clockwork mod once its installed.

No. I saw people posting they couldn't get go cwm and could only see the red exclamation point. And I was just saying maybe after choosing recovery then holding volume up and power it would then go to cWm or twrp. I was hoping for someone to try it who is still on 3.41 Recovery. A lot of people downgraded back to 3.39 or whatever version it was

I can confirm that to get in to the stock recovery you hold down 'power' and then tap 'vol up'.
At present I am running the latest CWM touch recovery. This boots straight into it from the bootloader without any extra button presses.
My personal preference to go into CWM is from either QuickBoot or ROM Manager.

I wonder why some on 3.41 can't go straight to twrp and some can. Sorry for the ahole comment I thought you were trying to be a smartass towards me. I'm just trying to find out as much info from people before I root. I am experienced at flashing and a little adb but I just read a lot of HELP BRICKED MY NEXUS posts. Did you use wugs toolkit or adb to unlock and root?

When I first flashed TWRP onto my Nexus 7 after that official 4.1.2 OTA update, I wasn't able to boot into it. I then flashed it again via fastboot, and then booted the TWRP image that was on my computer, and then TWRP loaded.
I believe TWRP does work normally now as well (I can boot into it and reboot into it).

Well if I was you I'd just use mskips toolkit, its absolutely epic it'll save you a lot of farting around. I take it that your fully updated? ( Not that it matters) You seem to know and understand your way around adb so just go for it and enjoy.
Its works smooth as silk and save you a lot off time. The options available to you are just staggering!

going to recovery from bootloader works fine after 3.41.....wat r u talkin abt? (i m stock rooted+twrp)
oh yea...u hav 2 remove that recovery stock.p file thingy first.
There are plenty of people that are having issues with recovery on 3.41 bootloader.... Its confirmed some have it some don't.
The issue is that with 3.41 bootloader on some Nexus 7 Devices a custom recovery is unbootable no matter how you try, every time it will try to load recovery and fail at a black screen then reboot into the OS. It does not matter how you try from ADB reboot to recovery or from bootloader with USB attached or not.

Ohh crap I read about that in some thread. Any idea exactly what has to be done. The only way I can get into cwm is with ROM toolbox but I have to reflash cwm every time then hit boot into recovery.

In your system folder there's a file called 'recovery-from-boot.p'
Go into a file manager with w/r access and rename it ' recovery-from-boot.p.bak'
When the system boots it reads that file and resets the recovery to stock, by changing the name you remove the problem.

[Q] what am I doing wrong?

I followed the steps on this site droidviews com /2013/ root-htc-one-m7-and-install-clockworkmod-recovery-on-it to root my phone. but I get no on-screen instructions and your HTC One will be rooted in a few moments. it goes to the white screen saying this is for devs and then turns off after a few secs. the bootloader screen now says tampered and unlocked at the top but I am not rooted.

Don't think you have done anything wrong. It's perfectly normal the bootloader screen shows "Tampered Unlock", otherwise you may not be able to get into recovery mode.
need to be more specific though. Have you flashed the recovery using fastboot? erase cache after flashing recovery may be helpful.
pay attention to the top of the booting screen see if there's a line says entering recovery
having the bootloader unlocked is not the same thing as rooting the phone.

I know I can get into cwm touch I have that but thats all I have. I was reading the site he linked and it says I have to get cwm to flash either supersu or super user. I guess the thing I tried didnt put that in. I just want to be rooted so I can use usb thethering for free if I ever need to use it on my laptop. I thought I was smart enough to handle this but once I started I realize maybe I didnt do enough research and I don't want to break my phone.

We all have to learn somewhere. All you need to do is flash Team Win Recovery it should be the very last one in the list of recoveries. Do the touch version. Then reboot your phone into recovery once you are in Team win recovery select reset the recovery will then ask if you want to root. There are many other ways but I think this is about as easy as it gets.

HTC One Stuck at HTC Logo (bricked?)

PROBLEM IS FIXED WITH THE HELP OF USER: daorderdillon
Hello guys, i'm searching for a solution to my problem (for several hours now) but i cant find anything useful. My chrome browser is full of tabs now
What the problem is, i had Android revolution rom installed on my HTC One. I wanted to try the Maximus rom so i downloaded it straight on my HTC. I rebooted into recovery and made a nandroid backup. Then booted into the Android revolution rom again. Looked at the nandroid backup if it was there. Then rebooted into recovery again, did a wipe and wiped cache partition. Then i flashed the Maximus rom and followed all the steps via Aroma. I went away and let the installer finish. When i got back i saw the CWM Screen but no sign that the installation finished. I clicked on reboot system anyways and thats when everything started going wrong. I'm stuck on the htc logo. I can go into bootloader, but when i click on recovery it restarts, shows the CWM logo very briefly and then powers down and starts getting stuck on the htc logo again.
I've searched on xda and google but found only tutorials about adb and stuff. But when i try it, it doesnt find the device. In the tut it asks to enable 'usb debugging', but i don't know if its enabled, cause i cant boot the rom.
Can anybody please help me?
PS. Fastboot works, but i cant find a command to boot into recovery.

it did not start and i tried several times and restarted etcetc, i then tried to flash in another recovery and then tried more and more but nothing..
then i cant remember now exaclty how i did it, but i have several RUU, kernel, recovery, boot and roms n such items downloaded
so i tried to feed in another flash or rom or whatever its called to get the recovery funtion to work (i am not very pro at this) and then when i wanted to start my phone normally it all of a sudden wont boot properly.
it freezes on the bootscreen.. i can turn off and go in to bootloader but i cant do ANYTHING from there, i cant do a factory reset (wich i also tried when the recovery did not want to work) i cant do **** there. tried to lock and unlock bootloader.. feels like im out of options..
the only thing i can do now is command the phone via cmd and the toolkit i use from here "Hasoon2000s htc one x AIO kit"
using this guide on this thread mostly..
ive tried so many things now, searched this and other forums since friday and i still can not get anywhere... starting to think this is what the definition of a bricked unit is??

Need some help daorderdillon...I have an HTC One M8
I wanted to flash to the UNROOTED Google Play Edition...so I rooted, TWRP'ed and did the S-OFF
and then tried to flash the ROM while in RUU mode...it gave me back a "41 error"...
so I tried to change the ModelID in the android.txt file...flashed, and then my HTC One M8 kept going into the HTC logo screen with 4 triangle error screen
When I do fastboot oem reboot, it gets me back into the device - but any normal restart after, and I'm back in the HTC logo error screen
I can't go into recovery mode either - using the POWER and UP / DOWN buttons or through the software...
Stuck, and I really don't know what to do
Thanks in advance!

[HELP] HTC One won't boot!! No OS... Stuck at splash screen. :(

HELP!!! I tried to install a ROM and all my data were gone and my SD card files look pretty messed up so I decided to wipe the system and return to Stock later.
After wiping the system, I realize the OTG storage cant be mounted and the HORROR begins. My phone got no OS to boot.
I tried to flash stock boot image and recovery and tried installing the official RRU. It failed. Now I can't even boot to fastboot or recovery.
It is stuck at HTC Quietly Brilliant splash screen.
I know some of the steps I did were pretty silly.
I need this phone tomorrow.
Pleaase HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!! :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
when you press power+volume down (without releasing the keys) for a few seconds (could be 20-30, doesn't matter), what happends?
first of all you data from you sd wasnt gone it just gets moved to support 4.2.2 multiuser.
what you should do is use all in one toolkit to run the fastboot commands for you. then i would sideload arhd 10 to your phone.
im running it now and its absolutely perfect

Can you boot into recovery mate, go into bootloader and reflash custom recovery if you cannot. Get into recovery and adb sideload either Android Revolution HD 9.4 or 10.0, the rom should begin to install once its transferred over, It takes a while so let it do its job to transfer, also make sure you have up to date adb drivers and files, otherwise adb sideload wont work.

Actually I mentioned that in ARHD thread. Before install arhd 10, I only had 7GB available. After installing, I had 25GB available. I tried to find my data everywhere with Root explorer. It's just not there anymore.
I have encoured the same issue and the only solution for me is to plug into pc and run the solution All In One !
I'm enabled to reboot into recovery and do a nandroid restore !

I am aware of that method. It helped when stuck in Aroma. But right now, it just stays there no matter what button combo I try.
does your computer recognize it at all when you plug it in

keep trying the button combo power+volume down under a bright light or try to use the all in one toolkit.
if you cant get it with that you can wait for the battery to die

Don't panick, plug your phone into usb, go to cmd and try a command "adb devices" if it sees the device then try "adb reboot bootloader" if it doesn't see it, then I guess you have wrong drivers, there was a thread on xda with the correct ones

I did flashed android revolution hd on my htc one, and I thought something went wrong so I took the decision to re do it, and I was stocked at final step, showing 10% only, not moving any further, then I was out of juice and my phone went dead, and when I restart it, its just showing start up.screen not moving any further.
You need to boot in to recovery and flash it again. The installation didn't finish so of course it's not going to go any further. It happens all the time.

I thought to root my mobile, unaware of benefits and risks, somehow I managed to root, then thought ti flash a Rom, just Googled it, decided to go for android revolution hd with twrp recovery, twice I use touch screen then I took the lesson to not to touch it, and finally I flashed it, but I was not able to download apps from store, so I took the worst decision of my life, to re do the procedure, and I did went upto final step of installing android revolution hd, there I was stucked at 10%, not moving any further. Finally when my battery was zero percent I tried ti switch on my mobile and I am stucked at start up screen.
not going into recovery, volume and on off switch making no sense at all.

It's just not happening, not going into recovery mode.
What do you mean? Did you turn it off and when turning it on immediately hold down the volume down button so you can get to the screen to select recovery?

hold power+volume down with phone under a bright light until it boots to bootloader. you might want to try a rom that doesnt use aroma until your comfortable with recovering your phone when something happens
exactly

i suggest you use rayglobe or rgui as they dont use aroma so no freezes and less issues when upgrading
nothing seems to work
