Overview
Codename Lungo is a stripped and lightweight version of CyanogenMod or pure AOSP
an aftermarket firmware for a number of smartphones based on the android open source project.
It offers features not found in the official Android based firmwares of vendors of these smartphones.

It looks interesting but im really curious about the difference between this and cyanogenmod releases, for starters, what kernel are you guys running? Just the cm10.1 release? If not, are you able to post the sources? (or even just kernel features that are unique to this rom) And yes i checked the FAQ first

my estimated friend, if it's aosp based, it always requires unlocked bl!

What are the actual bugs in cm at this time? Is it possible to undervolt the kernel?

I'm looking for a lightweight cyanogenmod rom that's updated along with their nightlies. You have 22Jul in your title but the file was uploaded on 17th. iirc that's before a lot of changes

Weird I updated it giv me 20 mins to fix this please...
FIXED!

Hi,
Ever since i bought this miserable Xperia Z i have allot of problems with tethering interupting. This is becasue of the phone switching between 3G, H and H+ (DC) as fast as possible to preserve battery (it tries to lower speeds). I use tethering about 8 hours a day. Switching off "fast dormancy" *could* be a solution for me. I only cannot find a rom for yuga that has this feature (very common on samsung phones). Can i disable "fast dormancy" in this rom please?

so does anyone have problems with microphone?i mean i can call and do stuff but for the other apps, like i have this guitar tuner app and the mic doesn't work and in wechat mic doesn't work work, anyway to fix that issue?

H and H+ are 3g modes. You can't stay in hspa or hdspa continously, it will switch to 3g mode automatically (any phone will do this) when no data is being send/receive. If you want to disable fast dormancy you need to delete the apk fast dormancy from system/app

Well... this is not entirely correct: i have a GT-I9300 and in device settings you can force this phone to use 3G only. It has a setting to disable HSUPA and/or HSDPA.
CM doesn't seem to have a fast dormancy apk btw

If you disable HSUPA and HSDPA it uses 3G. (Or 2G if 3G isn't available ofcourse)

Can someone comment on stability/usefulness of official CM9?

Nightlies just started officially dropping the other day, so I'm curious what you guys have thought thus far.
Found here: http://get.cm/?device=quincyatt
I'm on a stock ICS build, so I think I have to flash a GB ROM and then flash CM from there. Which is fine; just curious

Going by cm based roms as of june, it's very stable, definitely stable enough for daily driver. Issues as of june, shorter battery, possible GPS issues, blue tooth a2dp stable connection.
I'd definitely give it a try and thanks for the heads up.
And yes, you need to flash from GB kernel with Root and cwm afaik.

1+ I concur, even though I didn't get on-board with paranoid android rom until version 04 was released but it is an EXCELLENT rom! Maybe the PA team should get together with Samsung on making this rom preinstalled software for the next generation of galaxy note.
Never gonna happen

on my device (ymmv!), after the basic tweaks (disabling unnecessary apps, syncs etc.), the standby battery life was not worse than on stock GB or ICS. During normal usage, esp. while browsing on wifi it was much better - the estimated current consumption on CM9 was at ca. 500mA on new ICS 4.0.4 its closer to 750mA in the same conditions.

[Discussion / Q&A] OmniROM

Hello everyone!
You might have read about OmniROM in XDA news. More info about the project: http://omnirom.org/ and http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2601.
I have compiled the first ever unofficial build of the rom from unpublished Gerrit sources and guess what, for the p880.
Screenshots: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2481797. This thread will be the discussion and Q&A thread for OmniROM. It will be officially supported and maintained by me.
Your a legend Adam, im very optimistic about this project and we must one of the first to get it! hows it run so far?
All standard features that I use works, except BT which is not that hard to fix. Some patches are needed and it'll work. Performance is crappy, because there is a bug in the kernel that makes only one core to be enabled. Will be pushing fixes and improvements here and there as it gets running. I'm really excited to work on this, this is sth I've been waiting for a long time.

hello Adam,
this rom indeed shows promise.
i would like to compile this from source, can you upload your sources?
thanks.
I don't know what's going on, how can this already be smoother then the latest cm10.2 nightlies? I'm very impressed so far. I was just flashing to test but I think she's a keeper.
Only thing I've found is a little bit of lag on the default launcher.

@adam77 when the Rom will official release for our phone can you please then delete useless part like:
On Pac Man Rom we have Paranoid,Aokp and CyanogenMod in one Rom and in Aokp Settings under LED the Led Test don't work because these features is for phones with colorable led.
And so features are unless when Omni Rom will maybe have some of this useless features can you please remove?

I won't have to delete them, they will be hidden by default on devices which don't support those features. This is a very early build, the code wasn't even published yet when I compiled it.
BTW new build coming tomorrow. Fixed BT, BT tethering and Torch. Also, the device tree is now ready to be forked into official repos. Will update my GitHub tomorrow.
Very good job!
Thank you.

Hey can i install this rom with cwm and how?
Verstuurd vanaf mijn GT-I9300 met Tapatalk
I quickly tried this one, but keep getting fc's when trying to use dialler. Keeps say telling me contacts has had an error.
Did a full clean install before trying, wiped everything, cache, system, preload and even formatted internal sd card.
Will try again tonight and see if it still happens.
Sent from my GT-I9300T using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I have no dialer / contact problems. Try Wiping your internal storage, might be some lingering data.
Anyway, more feedback after using the ROM for a half day.
The battery doesnt seem to be as good as the Reviva ROM (however, I used Googy Max kernel with Reviva, ill reflash Googy Max and report back)
As for the performance, its not that good (don't get me wrong, its one of the best among the 4.3 ROMS) I just think that 4.3 is a real screw up. The transitions do lag quiet often, or maybe i just got used to running AOSP kitkat.
In all Honesty, the best ROM i ever used was Reviva based off the Samsung 4.2.2 Leak. That gave me a day and a half usage (4.3 and 4.4 currently give me just under a full day, 4.3 beating 4.4 by a slight margin) and the performance was amazing
I honestly hope we get a 4.4 update and then a SlimROM KitKat .
I know this sounds weird but you wouldnt have to have a backup of your ICS ROM would you? I was never a fan of jellybean, trying to force the system to render at 60fps is a flawed approach, im sure jellybean was Google's temporary solution while they worked on KitKat. In fact, KitKat is still beta, I'm sure they have been planning Kitkat memory rewrite + dalvik removal for some time.

The performance isnt bad. Like I said. Among 4.3 its good. It has what I call "Samsung lag" like when u pull down the notification bar or unlock the phone.
Just the battery life isnt as good as reviva. Like I said ill flash Googy Max and test it tomorrow.
thanks for the ROM.

Check the link above.
I made a quick search on google and i found a MOKEE rom for the note 4g dior model.
You think you wanna give it a try since you've also tried the cm12 ?
I have been running Mokee since I got the phone... Very smooth and stable, based on CM11. It's 4.4.4 though so will be exciting once the bugs are sorted (or at least the camera works) to get CM12 5.0

I have been trying mokee rom for about a week and I haven't noticed any bug. The only "problem" is that battery drains a bit faster than MIUI Rom but I have solved this by limiting the CPU frecuency to 1.3 GHz. The phone is as smooth as when it's not limited. Only if you play heavy games you may notice some lag.
When i went to trickster mod.. I see min freq for this phone is like 900+mhz.. Try to set it to 300+mhz for min n lock the freq..
