Happy new year!!
Hi there,
a few words on questions that came up so far:
There is screen flicker (ie. black lines) in some apps? Why is that?
Since we can't use the ICS 3.0.9 Kernel that leaked together with the XXKPx Builds for the SGS2 we can't use
the new ICS Graphics blobs which depend on the new kernel.
The Graphics blobs currently in use in the first build are the ones from Gingerbread and those are (which is pretty obvious if you aks me)
not fully compatible with ICS.
A quick workaround that might fix the screen flickering for some apps while breaking others is:
Go to Settings -> Developer options -> Tap "Force GPU rendering" (enabled).
There are issues with SD mounting (internal/external)
Already on my list for the next build along with working MTP)
Do I have to factory reset when going from this build to the next build?
Most certainly not. Since all releases are tested before release I'll let you know if there is something you need to do before upgrading.
Is this a Team Hacksung release?
Yes it is. I am maintaining the development for the Galaxy Note while working closely with codeworkx, nebkat, xplodwild et al.
Is it supposed to have a forum on CM website?
Nah. Since we are in pre-Alpha stage there is no support besides the IRC User channel mentioned in the first post.
Notes on progress:
* YouTube playback will return. (This is kinda flaky in the current build)
* I am taking a close look at the USB gadget driver and have begun work backporting the Android standard gadget driver to replace Samsung's messy gadget driver.
Sweet, looking forward to giving this a try.

Brainstorming for saving the binary counter:
Shouldn’t it be possible to
- flash the kernel out of the archive using CWM Manager or Mobile Odin
- Boot direkt into Download Mode after flashing the kernel
- Flash the archive without kernel using Odin
Any comments on that?
BTW: Is ICS hardware acceleration working?
Very nice
There is any way to get or to build a CWM File?
Flashing using mobile Odin works a treat....
Don't forget you will probably need to fac reset...
Isn't it possible to use the camera driver from the galaxy s 2?

for those who want a flashable .zip, try this:
http://www.multiupload.com/AAQMT1BWL3 (new link)
(use only for testing, full wipe is required! you will loose all data)
( changed link with changed updater script, old is also working)
It's already smooth like butter
nice work!

Both need to be fixed in cm I'm guessing.

I've been testing this extensively for the last 12 hours or so.
I can not, under any circumstances, make a call. I get an "out of service area" error and the signal bar drops to zero for a couple of seconds everytime I try to make a call. Receiving calls, SMS and data work fine.
Also, I can't get to recovery. I get this image:
http://cdn.howtogeek.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/android-recovery-mode.jpg
I tried flashing the kernel from your unofficial/test build in the CM10.1 thread. This fixed the recovery issue, but I still can't make any calls.
Here is a noobish logcat dump. The last events should be some of my attempts in making calls.

Hope this helps!

The issue with recovery is that you haven't flashed one to the FOTA partition. I would recommend flashing TWRP which is available on the Android Development section.
As to making calls that issue was meant to be fixed a few weeks back in CM. Not sure what happened there
Well, calling works fine in your CM10.1 build. I'll see if it works in the new FXP release, which will hopefully be today. I'm also going to try TWRP right now.

Just remembered - we switched back to source built RIL yesterday - that seems to have broken it. It'll be broken on today's CM10.1 nightly and FXP build as well then :/
Well, there goes my hope of messing with properly implemented pie controls for the week . But I guess it's for the greater good. Keep up the good work!
Turns out that it was actually a PA only problem. I'm trying to isolate the reason. It is not my priority right now though. I'm testing other things right now.

RIL= Radio Interface Layer
Everything works fine except video recording and outgoing calls.
i got random reboots. i tried a logcat, my first try.
i observed freeze and following reboot while changing camera picture size (4:3 to 16:9) with ProCapture - camera + (sometimes)
same while deleting list of recent apps
also the playstore simply close itself while trying search apps (sometimes, no freeze, no reboot, just closed playstore)
and the game Candy Crush Saga lags sometimes/horrible sound then (this game should run smooth normally)
maybe the attachement help you?
Very nice tilal! Couldnt find any bugs except for the ones already existing in FXP.
If you need me to build / mirror some stuff shoot me a PM. I haz access to xda build server
Cheers!

Everything worked fine on a dirty flash but when I tried a clean flash the notification for preparing SD card lasted forever.

I had that bug on FSC ROM sometimes too but a reboot (or several reboots) fixed it after a while... dunno really what was the cause

What's weird is the August 20 build is fine. But after the halo merge the bug appeared. Anyhow I've been on the 8/20 build for a couple days now and haven't noticed anything except CM related issues

Build 26/08 is running fine. Until now no problems. I'll keep on testing tomorrow
Thanks!

Do you have the notification bug? Do you have an external SD card?
I didn't mean to release that build there are still some bugs like tablet ui FC
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy SVII using Tapatalk 6 Beta on a dual boot system running fully featured Ubuntu touch and Firefox OS
External SD is working.
Till now I found the notification bug (you mean in the settings?) and some strange settings with dual pane. But these are just little bugs

Can you do MD a favor and post the exact bugs you are talking about and where they are found so they can be fixed? Thanks man
The notification bug I am having is that the Preparing SD Card notification never goes away, ever...
Right now I am on Illusion. But I had a "settings closed" as I tried to enter notification bar settings. Also dual panel settings forced a settings closed (I am German, but I hope the translation fits for you)

the i9500 is not supported bacause of the exynos proessor, and the i9505G is supported, but you will have to do some different steps.
I wont be able to do it for a while, but is it possible anyone can upload their own screenshots? i will post it on the OP, and give credit to you. thanks in advanced

my experience, Philz Recovery just work with Rom mod from Stock, Miui, and Google edition. All android mod from android original, such as CM, PAC.... have to install TWRP or CWM.
Installation works already with Philz but it is no PIN entry. So I have to install a different recovery then it works?
What the Fox say.Good Rom mate :good:
Hmm.. Downloading, screens coming soon

Just install it after wiping then gapps. Maybe a bad download
Great to see support thread for CyanFox here.
I tested 0.94 on my i9505 some days ago and I had several issues:
- Bluetooth disconnects very often. Example: phone connected to car bluetooth and works fine (both media and calls). After some time randomly or triggered by some event like incoming SMS, phone disconnects from BT and it takes some time while it recovers.
- Sending of SMS not working.
Any observations from other users?
I have these issues on all latest 4.2.2 and 4.3 ROMs based on AOSP / CM / AOKP sources on jtfltexx. Previously I had no issues on i9100.

PA Legacy ROMs are based on CM11, so they still use the old bootloader/3.0 kernel.

After a few days of use I must say that I am really enjoying this rom. Its snappy, polished and is packed with the killer PA features one would expect. The new hover feature is very convenient and I actually forgot how much I like PA's PIE controls in immersive mode.
The one thing that doesn't seem to be functioning is the Peek feature. Hopefully its sorted out soon!
Recovery
Which recovery am I supposed to use?
Clockwork/TWRP or SafeStrap

TWRP/CWM of course
Forgive me for my apparent ignorance with this ROM, it's the first PA one I've used, but where are the PA settings? I want to change back to the regular app killer and I can't find it anywhere lol.
Sent from my DROID RAZR M using XDA Free mobile app
There are no PA settings. You Can restore your previously set PA settings in settings>backup & reset

Well there ya go lol, yea I was avoiding having to do a factory reset, but I guess it's not that big of a deal.

Move apps to SD card?
Does this ROM allow moving apps to the SD card? I've had some issues with this since Google removed this feature with KK. Had Wifi issues on Cyanogen. Couldn't move apps to SD card on Gummy; looked all over for a fix, too. Getting frustrated about finding a ROM that has the functional features I'm looking for. Thanks.
Downloading it ..... Can't wait to try .....
Can someone tell are there any bugs in this rom ? Like mic or wifi problem and also guys i only want to flash micro gapps ..... Is camera app and browser pre installed in rom or i would have to download it ..... Cause whole gapps has camera and other things......

Flashed the ROM !
Great ROM..... Everything is great .... No problem in running
So here is pros and cons of this ROM
Pros
Sleek
No hangs or hicups
Everything's is running perfect
Many themes available (my fav lg g3 ROM)
Bluetooth,gsm,3g working with data
PA funstions very good
Cons
Screens recording( hangs and restarts)
WiFi(works on some routers but doesn't work with my friend phone hotspot stuck on obtaining IP)
Always awake due to NFC service
Battery depletes more due to always awake but not that quickly
Camera quality not that much good
Major flaw !
NFC service always awake and makes battery drain quickly and also can't turn off nfc its always on doesn't turn off tried many times it's the only flaw in this ROM.
Pls fix this problem or upload a patch to disable nfc permanently I don't even use nfc. Except this everything runs fine
