♛ ChameleonOS ♛ v.8 کΩפּ~ seven23 [ROM] - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 4 Android Development

NOTE: This ROM is not in the free and clear just yet. This is an unofficial build so any issues will be handled as best as possible until it becomes official. Before it can become official we need confirmation from multiple testers that it is stable enough for a daily ROM. Also note that I don't have the Sprint variant of SGS4, so when I get enough feedback I'll build v.8. And now we present:

I'm not sure since I don't own this device but it is cm based, so whatever works best for cm should be good.

Thanks for the link to the other rom Treken.
And I dont download unless I know what it is. The rom is 10% the size of all the other full roms so I figure my question was valid. Thanks for the retort.

Absolutely a valid question, I wasn't giving you a retort just some info to help validate the ROM being the size it is. I usually won't download something if I'm that worried about it. No smoke and mirrors here.
Edit: Since it's cm based I thought I wil link to their downloads for jfltespr so the size can be compared. This ROM definitely isn't 10% the size of the official cm builds so I'm not sure if you were refering to TW ROMs or not.

Everything's awesome except there's one thing I am nitpicky about...when the phone is in landscape, boxes outline the main dock. Is there anyway to fix that and still keep the launcher? (Other than getting a new launcher; adw, etc.)

you could probably manually edit the images for it.
Can someone who has come from cm7 nightlies please tell me what is different/better about this build? I know this is built independent of CM, but I'm trying to gauge if the differences are enough to warrant flashing this and restoring all my data and apps. Thanks.

Where might I find the files for that? And any particular reason as to why you did it? Doesn't bother me that much, I'm just wondering if there was a practical reason for it.

Well.
AOSP Laucher2 doesnt support landscape by default.
When I enabled that setting, it threw some stuff off. The landscape drawable werent updated for gb, so the launcher in landscape had the froyo buttons, kida white-ish and translucent.
What i did was take the images from the portrait verison, and swap those in. The result isnt perfect, but its better than no landscape and/or froyo images

MIUI v4.1 light CM10.1 Theme by Z25
About:
I used to show up with something never done before, some of you can still remember me. Let's face it it's always hard to pick between MIUI and CM, so I decided to bring MIUI's coolness to CM10. Unfortunately it's not open-requested theme and it's only HDPI, do not ask me for other displays I have no time to play with it anymore I will only try to fix bugs (yeah there are bugs it's very hard to invert whole system).
Bugs:
-The main problem is RootExplorer (I have no ideas how to fix the list).
-USB Debugging/Input Method Notifications (both are not themeable, so they are stock)
-Play Music (title bar text/popups colors).
I know all bugs, so there is no need to share if you find any, but feel free to text me if you already know how to fix existing ones
Updates:
Do not ask about ETA of the next update (it's good as it is), so i will update only when I will figure out bugs I wrote above.
Installation:
-Download apk and install it
-Go and apply in theme chooser
-Reboot
-If you will face to any problem trying to set theme then wipe dalvik-cache

This thread is for sharing screenshots of your homescreen setups or other various customizations you've done to your Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 4G.
Use the code below when making your post to keep this thread consistant and easy to follow. Include as many details as possible to ensure this thread isn't flooded with questions that could be easily answered before they're even asked.
PHP:
[IMG]link to screenshot[/IMG]

[*][B]Launcher:[/B] Title with link
[*][B]Wallpaper:[/B] Link only (please, no image tags!)

[/LIST]
Obviously, I am unable to moderate this thread, but I'd like it to remain as clean and concise as possible. With that in mind, please follow the thread etiquitte as described below.
Thread Etiquitte
If you use any resources posted by another member, do them a favour by clicking the thanks button on their post. Please refrain from thanking in subsequent posts; the button is sufficient. This is to prevent unneccessary clutter in the thread.
Please limit your posts to a maximum of three screenshots. I believe in the old saying, "less is more" so even just one screenshot is preferred. Up to three is fine primarily when showing how one compliments the other. Also, only provide a URL to your wallpapers rather than embed them in image tags. There's going to be a lot of images on each page as it is, so this is to reduce long loading times as much as it's to keep the thread looking cleaner.
Many people get annoyed when seeing the same image many times in the same thread, so if you're going to quote someone's post, please replace the image tags with URL tags. Once again, this will make the thread more enjoyable to view. By using URL tags, the images can still be viewed to give context to a reply, but without the added mess. Make sense?
Yes, it's difficult not having our own device forum, and for that reason, I've noticed off-topic discussion is a bit more relaxed in our various ROM threads because we simply have nowhere else to do it. Some level of discussion is okay here, but don't let it become too excessive. Please use PM's if carrying on a conversation one-on-one.
Contribute! The main goal of this thread is inspiration through contribution. What makes every community thrive is the sharing of useful information, ideas, and in our case, screenshots (along with details of how we acheived our customizations). By sharing your creativity, you will inspire others, and they will be able to share their remix of a combination of those ideas, layouts, widgets, etc. Essentially, that makes it an ongoing circle. The level of customization is only as limited as your imagination, and that's what makes Android so unique. So get creative and show us what you've got!

Useful Information
Image hosting services: imgur, TinyPic, ImageShack, postimage.org, ImageBam, and more (but please avoid PhotoBucket).
How to take a screenshot: This will vary in each ROM you use. Android added native screenshot functionality in Ice Cream Sandwich, so anything 4.0+ is as easy as pressing Volume Down + Power for 2 seconds. Many ROMs also have a screenshot button in the power down menu. In any case, you can search the Google Play Store to find a suitable screenshot app if you have any issues. Note: most screenshot apps require root on any device running Gingerbread or older.
ONLY POST APPROPRIATE IMAGES! Nudity is not allowed on XDA. A better way to say it is to only post what you would actually consider putting on the wall of your home for all your friends and family to see. And if you're seriously considering putting Android screenshots on the walls of your home, you're obsessed. Seek medical attention immediately (but don't look at the walls of my house...just sayin')

Uploading images still works here, as chrisperrera just did. Maybe just uploading from the app is no longer supported? That would be strange, though. In any case, the OP has links to 5 image hosts plus a link to search Google for more. That hardly leaves an excuse for not finding a suitable place to share images other than pure laziness.
Here are some flashable boot animations I made, which I posted in the original themes/screenshots thread.

Only been on this ROM (moved from PACMan out of curiosity) for 2 days, so I haven't done a lot with it. It's very basic so far, but I like it

I also moved to the latest CM10 as well. Going back to a full 240DPI phone UI makes everything seem so huge! We've got a new PA coming shortly though, so this won't last long

Are you theming/designing all these yourself? Some look familiar, others not so much... Nice work, either way!

This is Translucent CM theme for CM10.1 (Cyanogenmod). Many apps of your rom will become translucent! This means that you will see all that is "behind" the app that you are using. For more info see screens. The apk size is very small because most of the work is done with xml files.
NOTE: This theme is built on my Transparent theme (paid app. you can download it if you want to donate).
I am aware that the fact that you can see what is behind the apps limits the visibility. If you download this theme I assume that you know this. DOWNLOAD ONLY IF YOU LIKE THE IDEA
More infos and screens on google play!
KNOWN ISSUE: when closing an app there isn't the system animation (because of the translucent theme used). when opening it's ok.
WHAT IS TRANLUCENT:
-apps that depend from Theme.Holo of framework (like various menus, settings, downloads, some stock browser's parts, dsp manager, torch and much other)
-dialer app
-contacts list
-messagging app+traansparent widget
-clock app
-calculator+ transparent widget
-calendar
-google play music
-apollo+ transparent widget
-some launchers settings (like nova and apex)
-seeder
-theme chooser
-transparent quicksettings widget
DOWNLOADS:
-Google play
(if you like it, leave a review )
For questions, problems and requests, send me a e-mail or reply here
enjoy
Hi Gianluca, I just sent you an email about your transparent (not translucent!) theme. May I discuss that theme even here? I found XDA quicker for talking about that. Easier to attach screenshots, more confortable for typing etc. etc.
hi, i've replied with mail. if you want send me a pm, talking here is off topic
Dude this has already been created by another dev on the galaxy nexus thread.

man i've developed this theme alone and i didn't know about this. i've npt stoled other member's work. my theme has more things themed also. i've also spent much time on my themes and created them alone.
i've also published 1 year ago a glass theme for samsung galaxy wonder (zip file) and then some time ago i decided to continue this and making an app. so please before talking you must know things.

I see your theme is more aimed at a stock transparent point of view, very nice! Found it through the false accusations on the other thread lol. Not all is themed well on my AOKP n10, but don't know if that would be your aim.

thank you not all it's themed because theming directly holo.light brings some bugs so for now i will leave some things not themed. i think it's better to leave the theme cleaner
EDIT: unfortunately i don't have aokp so i don't know if all it's perfect!

The only thing I actually think that isn't themed as its supposed to be is the dual panel in settings, everything else is awesome! (probably more of a device specific problem than an AOKP problem I guess)

Hell yes Spadaboss has been doing transparent mods forever. I pulled down his cm9 transparent status bar in early 2012. Listen up, maninthemoon-- Spadaboss deserves his fine reputation. I HAPPILY BOUGHT his transparent mod and its worth far more than I paid.
Do some research before slamming a good dev's rep, Moonman.

Do you think you could make the status bar translucent as well?
I also have some requests for some apps to be translucent:
-facebook
-xda app
-maybe browser?
I know that you are busy making more awesome themes, but if you could take a look at these requests, I would greatly appreciate it

Ok, thanks for looking at my requests. Take your time and good luck

Downloading now
Edit: It would be great if you actually linked the download link to the post containing the rom rather than directly to your blog home page. Just a headsup
I don't see a DL for vibe in the link
Edit* nm I found it, had to put it in desktop mode

This ROM is running solid! I haven't had much time to test but just scrolling through it is really smooth. Thanks for keeping the vibe alive.
Lies, spewed poetically from galaxy S3!
Any ways I can change the colour of halo circle? Looks like freaking rangoli
And I don't know if its a ROM specific thing but where do I control the animations? Not the launcher... Other ones. Its just random. If it can be set to a single one it would be great ( but that's a personal opinion )

Love you Rom but found a few things that will need fixing.
1. The battery icon does not show the charging icon on the status bar (that is when charging), though it can be seen in the tile.
2. Gallery does not show previous images already captured prior to flashing this new Rom.
3.stored ringtones and notification does not also show in sounds settings unlike the base Rom you used(slim beans).
Other than what stated above, loving the speed and looks.
Thanks.

Is it me or does the xposed thing work for everyone??
i tried a basic battery mod and even after rebooting like crazy... nothing changes.

Battery icon shows up for me. I tried out all of the battery icons just to make sure (I was using the stock android icon before though). They all show up as charging. Gallery images show up for me too; I took pictures with SuperNexus ROM and RemICS-JB ROM back who knows when and they all show up. Dunno about the last one, though that can be easily remedied. Just download File Manager by Rhythm Software and next time you select ringtones, it'll ask you to choose between that and the system ringtones. You can easily find all of your stored ringtones using that.
And yes, I agree, this ROM is really awesome. :good:
