Help! I wiped everything and am trying to fix my phone. - Sprint HTC One (M7)

I was having a problem with not receiving calls, so I foolishly went into the internal sdcard and deleted everything and then used TWRP to wipe everything else with the intention of starting fresh on a new rom. I currently can boot into TWRP recovery. My computer can recoginize that there is a drive connected, but it is shaded out and says that there is no drive on there when I click on it. I fastbooted a stock boot img from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2236418. I can recognize my phone now with ADB, but when I try to ADB sideload paranoidandroid.zip I get "failed to write data 'protocol fault (no status)'
Any help would be much appreciated as to how to fix my phone. I have tried to google for other solutions, but HTC made searching for only the HTC one so hard with all the other phones they have released under the one name.

incorrect
you cant mount usb with this phone while in recovery at all

Easiest way is to use this tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40341536 and side load whatever Rom you want. You may also have to click the install HTC drivers for within this tool.

Really? I never even bothered to try it so I was just going by past phone experience. Then the only way I can think of is using adb push from fastboot

I think my problem was that I was doing the right thing but with the wrong rom. The rom I kept trying to sideload gave me an error, "failed to stat /system/build.prop" but then when I tried a different rom it worked.
Thanks!!!

Dude, that's how you do it, or else flash flashable files thru recovery. I suggest you figure out why ADB is not working - correct drivers installed, correct SDK files, change usb cables, try another USB port

I'm just saying, your issue is getting ADB to work, not how to add files to phone while in recovery. Search the forums on ADB issues, it's tricky getting it to work on Windows 8 especially, but there are guides in these forums. You either push apk's to your phone thru ADB, flash them thru recovery, or download them from the Play Store/net. There is no magical way my friend, so my advice is to research and figure out why ADB isn't working, and your problem will be solved.

Don't get testy, I'm trying to help lol! Ok, glad you got ADB up and running, that's a good thing! You never really mentioned what state your phone is in, or how it got that way?
Since its a rom, have you thought about or tried ADB sideloading? Just thinking about possibilities
Which ViperOne file are you trying to install? Version 2.1 full rom I assume?

Lol, I am not sure what its about, because you never describe what state your phone is in, or how it got that way. At first, I assumed you were just trying to push apk's to your phone, then I understood it was a rom, which made me think you must of wiped your sd card partition or something, for which ADB push would work.
Ok, so why did you push the rom to your sd card, what was the sequence of events? What viper file are you trying to run? It's on your sd card now, right?
And you're right, I linked the wrong thread, I apologize, here's sideload dude

Lets see if I can help, in your recovery goto flash a zip then choose from sideload.
Then on your pc, type adb sideload name.zip
Then wait for it to sideload the Rom and it will flash automatically.
Also look at my Sig for my toolkit, it has the sildeloading option by clicking buttons..

[Q] Sprint One, can only access hboot and recovery

I feel like I have used up all my resources on trying to get my Sprint HTC One back to stock.
Last night I was able to unlock it with no trouble. I didn't realize this would wipe out all my media as well. (not the issue)
So I was going to go and install Benny's Cleanrom and I used Superwipe to clear all the cache and everything that was being restored from the back up. I flashed the Superwipe Rom and it seemed to have gotten the job done, but it also wiped out my OS.
So now I have been stuck with the ability of accessing bootloader and recovery, I am using TWRP right now. None of my pc's recognize my phone when I try to mount it. The phone also shows errors when I try to do so, coming up stating that it cannot mount anything except usb otg. I don't have a USB OTG cable right to use, so that option is still out the window.
I have tried this method
I have tried this method multiple times but ADB was not working. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317989
I have tried the Fastboot method, which had me relocking the phone and running the ruu. Though since I am on the latest version 1.3, the 1.2.9 RUU I was trying to use kept on failing. When doing it through Hasoon's AIO tool it seems that the ruu works when I flash the ruu zip. Though running it the first time it would show up that it failed, but when I re-flash it the second time on the cmd line it shows successful though on the phone the green bar never completes it and it stays at like 95% and doesn't complete the install on the phone.
If someone knows how to get my phone back to stock I would be very appreciative. I am new to rooting on the HTC One, I previously rooted my Evo 3D and my girls SG2.
If someone wants to help me out with team viewer, I will gladly allow anyone to assist me in that matter. I am just hoping that this can be resolved.
Now I see when I type ADB devices in cmd, it shows FA33ZS907479 recovery. I don't know if this has any relevance in that it sees the TWRP recovery.

If you don't, copy a rom to a USB flash drive and connect it to your phone with an OTG Cable, and flash it via twrp
If you don't have an OTG cable, try this to sideload a rom to your internal sd card http://teamw.in/ADBSideload

ok so fastboot is working, as suggested before post a "fastboot getvar all" (remove IMEI and s/n).
If sideload isn't working you can use "adb push", but first thing is to reflash custom recovery just in case it's corrupted.
so download CWM or TWRP (from the threads in xda), then
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash recovery <name of recovery>.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
-> enter RECOVERY
then
adb push <name of rom>.zip /sdcard/ (this will take anywhere between 5 to 15minutes and not show progress, eventually it should come back with "success")
then
install zip in recovery, and choose the <name of rom>.zip and install it.

[Q] Remote: not allowed when trying to flash TWRP/CWM

My bootloader is unlocked already, I deleted HTC Sync, debugging on, usb is in disk mode, etc. but for the life of me I can't get any recoveries to flash. I get the "Remote: not allowed" and if I try again it just gets stuck on sending recovery. It shows up as a fastboot device in cmd. Any suggestions?
Try the tool kit in development.

Yes, I am in fastbootusb. The same thing happens on the toolkit. I doubt it is any kind of hardware defect, but the device is recognized in fastboot which is why I am SUPER confused. This is the first time I have ever run into an issue with fastboot.

I initially had a bad download and had issues with both ways to flash. Redownloaded and it worked.
Also, with the tool I've had issues with usb switching from storage to media which affected even using adb to push files. Make sure that's not an issue with the push method.

Are you implying the fastboot download was bad or the recovery? I tried three different recoveries now and none worked. I also tried using hassoon2000s method and just get an error saying device not found.
Also, I am using the fastboot file that came directly from HTC so I am really scratching my head right now...

Sorry if I sounded mean or anything I was literally just asking which one you meant lol. I now realize "are you implying" does sound kinda snarky. Anyway, it must have been something with my computer because I did it on another computer and got it to work.
So the thread doesn't go to waste, if anyone is having issues try on another computer.
Okay, now trying to flash the stock recovery to get the phone exchanged for radio issues, I am running into the same problem. I tried both computers now. Hopefully I figure it out soon, had to activate an old blackberry for the time being.
"sending 'recovery' (16472 KB)...
FAILED (remote: not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.007s"
I have had the same problem before on a different phone. All you need to do is put it on the sd card and use the boot loader method. The phone will automatically find it and flash it. Then just remove sd card and delete file so it doesn't keep prompting to flash it every time you reboot.

To flash a recovery? Just rename the recovery as a radio file?
Yes. Go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2696652 and all the info you need is there along with directions.

Can't flash rom properly, and now stuck at gapps installation

Hello, I managed to unlock my bootloader and root my phone using cwm touch [http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173863]. All was going well. I decided to get cm12 nightly edition [http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc...m-cyanogenmod-12-official-nightlies-t2995218]. I followed the instructions, but i was stuck at a bootloop (my phone is S-On, so I had to follow the extra instructions).
I realized while flashing a second time that there were error messages such as "failed to mount /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1" and "unmount of /system failed; no such volume". I recall uninstalling htc sync manager so as to make my phone s-off, but i didnt bother doing anything else to s-off. I later realized that my phone didnt show up as a usb device although it was detected, meaning that I can't copy roms to the internal storage. I decided to try the command prompt method of flashing the image and then installing it in cwm, but when I was installing the GApps [http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/gapps-updated-gapps-basic-medium-t3070193] ( the medium package), cwm is stuck at "Unmounting system partition". I'm now bat**** scared because I really do not want to mess with system stuff, so I am going to sleep and wait for help. Please help me, this is my first time doing any of this rooting business, please.

Thank you for the replies, but what do I do now? Like the phone is literally stuck at "Unmounting system partition". Do I force shutdown?
Edit: Also, how do I flash twrp if I can't get my usb to work?
Edit 2: I managed to stop the "unmounting system partition" thing by pulling out my usb. But my phone still doesn't show up as usb so how do I get twrp? If I boot it will go to a bootloop
Edit 3: I managed to flash twrp using the adb thing, didnt have to mount usb. ( I still cant mount usb tho, how do I get that?
Edit 4: INSTALLED CM12 PROPERLY AND BOOTED!! THANKS FOR TELLING ME TO GET TWRP GUYS! My usb still doesnt mount, don't know why (mtp is enabled). Also, I keep getting an "Unfortunately google play services has stopped" notificaion.
Edit 5: When I rebooted my phone it asked me again what I wanted to do with the device then I clicked open with explorer and it worked. Then, I transferred Gapps minimal edition (to get play services again) and then flashed it with twrp. everything works! thanks
