[Q] Sprint One, can only access hboot and recovery - Sprint HTC One (M7)

I feel like I have used up all my resources on trying to get my Sprint HTC One back to stock.
Last night I was able to unlock it with no trouble. I didn't realize this would wipe out all my media as well. (not the issue)
So I was going to go and install Benny's Cleanrom and I used Superwipe to clear all the cache and everything that was being restored from the back up. I flashed the Superwipe Rom and it seemed to have gotten the job done, but it also wiped out my OS.
So now I have been stuck with the ability of accessing bootloader and recovery, I am using TWRP right now. None of my pc's recognize my phone when I try to mount it. The phone also shows errors when I try to do so, coming up stating that it cannot mount anything except usb otg. I don't have a USB OTG cable right to use, so that option is still out the window.
I have tried this method
I have tried this method multiple times but ADB was not working. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317989
I have tried the Fastboot method, which had me relocking the phone and running the ruu. Though since I am on the latest version 1.3, the 1.2.9 RUU I was trying to use kept on failing. When doing it through Hasoon's AIO tool it seems that the ruu works when I flash the ruu zip. Though running it the first time it would show up that it failed, but when I re-flash it the second time on the cmd line it shows successful though on the phone the green bar never completes it and it stays at like 95% and doesn't complete the install on the phone.
If someone knows how to get my phone back to stock I would be very appreciative. I am new to rooting on the HTC One, I previously rooted my Evo 3D and my girls SG2.
If someone wants to help me out with team viewer, I will gladly allow anyone to assist me in that matter. I am just hoping that this can be resolved.

Now I see when I type ADB devices in cmd, it shows FA33ZS907479 recovery. I don't know if this has any relevance in that it sees the TWRP recovery.

[Q] HTC One Bricked (bootloop)

Hello folks,
During update from Revolution HD 3.4 to 3.5 something went wrong and process stopped before it got finished. Now I ended up in bootloop, even recovery is not working. I've tried to use RUU but failed on CID verification as I'm having the phone from 3 IE. Is any chance to bring it back to life or i just got very expensive paper weight ?
Or if anyone can provide RUU for 3 IE I'm willing to pay for it.
Bad day, bad day...
Thank you for any advice.

Thanks, for hint. Got recovery working again
What I have done.
1.) Unlocked, re-locked bootloader.. (i think this did the trick, full wipe ?)
2.) Wiped cache
3.) Re-flash clockworkmod
4.) Upload ROM using sideload.
Now the phone is back. I hope i will not break something again.
Hi, I am having the same issue with my phone as of right now. I tried re-locking bootloader and then unlocking again and also reflashing clockwork and I am still getting the bootloop and cannot access recovery (flashes for 0.1 secs and then disappears).
What exactly did you do to fix the issue?

Hi Riyal,
I have fixed that issue with fastboot erase cache. Now, I am having a problem loading a ROM because it states in recovery that it "can't mount SD card"?
Figured it out, I just had to ADB push a stock rom and then re-wipe/re-flash

I had the same problem, going to try to sideload this stock de-odexed rom (didn't work the first few times) and CHILL THE PHUCK out until AOKP.
scared me lol first HTC device, brand new, and I thought I broke it.
P.S I realized that REVOHD uses AROMA, that's why it wouldn't sideload.... Am I Rite?

My HTC One device is actually suffering the same problem.
I bought my HTC One Sprint(Sim-Free Edition) in the US and got it to India.
But after I inserted my Indian Sim it said ''SIM LOCK ENABLED''.....I just got frustrated and
rooted the device and tried to install ''Android RevolutionHD (Odexed)'' Stock ROM with the help of TWRP.
But after I installed the stock rom, my device is just showing the HTC symbol and hanging there itself.
It Hangs there for around 6-7mins and reboots and the same happens again.
The only thing I can do is to get in to the bootloader and Power OFF the Device.
Any Help???? Please..... just having a costly paper weight since 2 weeks.
Please need help urgently....!!!
Hi
Greetings,
Did you flashed boot.IMG if no
Extract the boot.img from the Rom
Copy that file to abd/fastboot folder
Now connect you phone with pc with your phone booted in fastboot/bootloader,
Later flash boot.img by following command
"Fastboot flash boot boot.img"
Reboot and your done
If you do not know how to use abd search for it

The Sprint version is never going to work on any carrier other than Sprint. It's a CDMA device. The sim slot if for connecting to Sprint's LTE network, but requires a CDMA connection first and foremost to work at all.

I'm stuck on the same boat :\
I was able to finally boot into CWM recovery but I'm getting write errors all over the place.
I used the AIO Kit to re-lock the bootloader and unlock it - Reflashed CWM - Tried to sideload ARHD 10.0 but the DOS prompt errors out saying that it cannot find my device.
Little help?

i was going through the same thing yesterday and i thought i had bricked my phone. what i did that finally worked, was unplugging the usb, restarting the computer, reinstalling htc drivers, then restarting the computer, then using a different usb port. i was finally able to sideload ARHD whereas before i could do fastboot commands, but it wasn't responding to the sideload, and wasn't able to mount the sdcard, so i thought i was screwed. :good:

Thanks for the tip, I was able to get back into AROMA but the original issue that got me to this point came up again. Aroma installer runs and during the install it kicks itself out and sends me back to recovery, so the installer doesn't complete. It gets to about 30% and craps out just after it writes system data and starts to install the .apk's. Screen goes black and it reboots itself and sends me to recovery.
thoughts?

Phone has no O/S installed, cannot detect phone to put rom zip on phone. please help

I believe I overwiped my phone, it has no rom on it now, and when I plug it into the computer, it makes the noise, but will not show up in windows explorer. I am able to boot into recovery, TRWN, although I can't do anything from there because I have no rom to install. I have tried installing the latest HTC drivers, using a different cord, disabling antivirus, pretty much everything previously listed in these forums. Is there a way to use the command prompt to send a rom over to the phone? Please help.

donwload the all in one toolkit use it to erase cache then install recovery. after that either mount usb otg and copy rom to sd or sideload a rom. all in one toolkit automates everything you need to do:good::good:
I wish I could say that worked, however when I try to use the AIO toolkit, when it launces the command prompt it says 'device not found.' same problem as windows. There has to be a way to force a file on there. Any ideas? Again, I can boot to recovery but have no zip on the phone memory to flash.

if it says device not found press the power button once and try again. it will say once in fastboot close the first window if you close the first window and nothing happens then press power and it should start
if your in fastboot options should be----bootloader----reboot----reboot bootloader----power down

Have you used this command?
Code:
adb sideload /path/to/rom.zip
If yes, it will work.
Maybe sideload.zip contains rom and if sideload.zip don't have meta-inf it will not flashed

OK, so I didn't say yes to the question this time after sideloading android revolution. same thing. goes blank then reboots to bootloader menu. So I tried sideloading viperrom 1.04. This time after it finished sideloading it randomly installed instelfl, and now viperrom is installed, its booting up to the phone now finally, yet before anything can initialize, it just reboots again. It's been caught in this boot loop about ten minutes now. No end in sight. Any ideas?
ViperRom from Sprint or AT&T one forum?
Your phone is branded or no-brand?
However, boot into recovery, and use this command:
Code:
adb push name_of_rom.zip /sdcard
, then flash it
Also, I have now tried flashing and installing TrickDroid which also boots to the O/S but then after a few seconds reboots and starts all over again. I just let it run, and it boots, then reboots, over, and over, and over again. Any ideas?

Need help getting my phone working again.

Hi all.
I have CWM Touch installed, but I can't run ADB Sideload to flash a ROM. I just keep getting an error that the device can't be found. I have no OS installed, so my phone won't boot up. I can't access the phone's memory as that doesn't work with the One. I also can't flash a RUU to return to factory settings as I have S-ON and am on HBOOT 1.54.Is there anything I can do to fix this and get my phone back working?
Many thanks.

First try to reinstall you Drives for ADB and HTC so you know it's not a Driver issue. If that doesn't work try using a different PC and see if you still get the same issues.
And also try using HTC One AIO to flash TWRP or something to see if you can Sideload a rom then. Because AIO toolkit uses the fastboot menu to flash Recovery images.
If you can flash a different Recovery then try to flash a rom and see if that works.
If not let me know what the results are

Got it! Thank you. I reinstalled the drivers. Weird though because ADB was working fine before. The drivers must have corrupted or maybe it's a Windows 8 issue. Sideloading the ROM now, will let you know if it is a success.

[Q] Clockworkmod stuck in recovery loop for rooting. Unable to terminal connect

Hope I can find some help as I ran into what seems to be a pretty serious issue. I haven't been able to find any steps that gets my phone back into booting the actual OS, so posting my specific problem seems to be the only option. A lot of thanks for anyone that can possibly help.
So, followed these instructions to root my phone and get it ready for installing a new ROM, but got stuck at instruction 18.
Which says: (a few before too)
16. OK Now the bootloader is unlocked. Time to install a recovery. In Terminal ./adb reboot bootloader
17. In terminal ./fastboot flash recovery name_of_the_recovery.img (I used recovery-clockwork-6.0.3.1-m7.img)
18. After recovery has flashed POWER DOWN PHONE COMPLETELY Then restart it
Once I did that, I restarted my phone and it loaded up clockwork recovery screen. This seemed fine, but every time I clicked to restart system it keeps on putting me back to this screen.
* I've tried clearing cache and booting, creating a backup and restoring and booting,
* I've got to the bootloader of the OS, but when I go to recovery, it brings me back here.
* I can't connect via the terminal w/ adb or fastboot as it complains it can't connect to device or just waiting for device.
* Neither the Android File Manager nor HTC Sync Manager can connect.
* I've tried only having one application installed for file management hoping that it's just a conflict, but to no avail.
* Can't use an sdcard load since there's no sdcard
* Trying a sideload doesn't work because I can't connect to the device.
I'm afraid I bricked my phone. I hope someone can offer some suggestions.
Again, thank you for your time.
Chris
You can't reboot into bootloader with a longpress of Power + Vol- button under a strong light?
I can get there, to bootloader by using the power and volume down, but no matter what option i pick it gets me back to clockworkmod. I've tried connecting then via terminal, but still nothing. Pretty frustrating.
In fastboot with the command:
Code:
fastboot devices
you can't see your phone?
If yes, flash the latest TWRP/CWM, do an erase cache and flash or sideload a rom
Right, nothing is output w/ that. Neither in bootloader or clockworkmod screen.
You've the right driver installed?
And, in device manager you can see your phone without any yellow triangle?
p.s. are you using windows, right?
Forgot to mention that, I'm on a Macbook Pro.
So Fastboot flash different recovery does not work?
When you where in recovery, did you flash any new ROM?

So you have to add a
Code:
./
before the fastboot/adb command.
In fastboot type:
Code:

Thanks for the command... sadly it just says waiting for device. The core problem it seems now is that my computer won't recognize the USB connection for this device.
I think I just found out what I did wrong
instead of running this:
./fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-6.0.3.1-m7.img
I ran this:
/fastboot flash boot recovery-clockwork-6.0.3.1-m7.img
based on command history. Crap.
If atm he can't recognize his device how he can flash a recovery?[/QUOTE]
Yeah, I know, only way you can get the whole process working is by adding ./ or if you wanted to put it on your $PATH variable, but that would be pointless.
Well your op says you attempted to do backups and restore, so you obviously seem to have CWM installed.

Yeah, it's installed. Just I think now because it was put on as a boot vs recovery it's treating it as the OS, possibly, so when I try to boot the system,it just boots CWM. The OS is there though, if I do a backup you can see all the files (especially proprietary stuff from HTC) still on the drive. But w/o access to it via terminal I don't know if there's a way to fix the boot problem. I can get to the bootloader,if I only it could mount to my computer from there (or even in CWM). Access to the phones drive seems to be the only way to clean it up.

Chris

As I gathered from your description, you are using a MAC.
I think you should use your friends PC to use the command to install the recovery and see if it solves the problem.
Alternatively you can use Heimdall Terminal fir MAC, which is sort of ODIN for MAC and try to reinstall your firmware.

I can use virtual box now... i'll give it a try.
I use Mac as well and I ran into same connectivity problems as you do, but it was not during unlocking, rooting.. I had a Bootloop going with some mods conflicts, anyway, not important. I used my missus win 7 laptop and there it would see it and I could fix my problems there. Mac has had issues with SdK not working.
Alas, do run the Fastboot flash recovery command if you get it talking, as you temporarily can access CWM before flashing it permanently.

I have a similar problem
My specs:
M7_WLS PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT 1.44 UNLOCKED
RADIO 1.00.20.0626
OpenDSP v31.120.274.0617
eMMC-boot

TWRP v2.6.3 - working correctly
I have no backup and no ROM on my phone
I can access HBOOT just fine via power + vol down
Team Win Recovery also seems to function properly
My phone is not listed under adb devices
and the worst of all, my phone won't connect to my PC!!
Here is the problem,
I got bored with my stock ROM, so I decided to try CyanogenMod 10.1. Having installed a few ROMs in the past, I felt comfortable tampering with the software on my HTC One (Sprint). I first had clockworkmod flashed and I booted to HBOOT and wiped everything I had an option to wipe. I fear this was my mistake, I also did not create a backup prior to my tampering. After wiping my phone with clockwork, I tried moving the Cyanogen zip to my phone. This is when I noticed my phone would not connect to the PC. I tried different PC's and cords. I am using USB 2.0 and the laptop even makes a ding noise when I enter fastboot usb. My phone is not listed in C: drive, device manager, or adb devices.
I now have flashed TWRP and made sure all my drivers are up to date. I installed HTC Sync Manager, which can not find my phone. I tried to send the cyanogen zip to my phone via fastboot flash zip cm-10.1.3-m7spr.zip. This failed to pass signature verification test. I thought being unlocked bypassed the sig check but I guess not. I tried to gain S-OFF using revone. I couldn't send revone to my phone either. I also tried installing the stock ruu. I got my phone to the black HTC screen and ran the ruu.exe and whammo! ERROR [155] UNKNOWN ERROR...
I'm looking for a way to move my rom zip file to my phone so I can install via TWRP. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!

I once had a similar problem with my samsung abd tried this ..
1. Remove sd card from your phone.
2. Put the sd card in a card reader and copy your firmware on sd card through yout pc
3. Refit the sd card in your phone
4. Flash firmware through recovery.
I hope this helps.

[Q] Emergency! NEED HELP IMEDIATELY!!

Ok so how do I start this? Well I got an htc one for christmas and I wanted to root it. Everything was fine until I decided to flash a custom kit kat rom. The rom was stuck in a boot loop so I went back to twrp and flashed my recovery. I thought I fixed everything but then I stopped getting phone service. It kept saying looking for service. I thought it was a bad recovery so I downloaded cm from rom manager. While it was downloading, the phone just randomly rebooted. It kept doing this and still is.so then, being the idiot I am, flashed clockwork recovery to see if it would change anything. I tried downloading cm from rom manager again and finally finished downloading before it started rebooting again. I went into clockwork recovery and flashed cm and now it keeps rebooting and I have no phone service. I have no idea what to do. By switching from twrp to clockwork, I lost my recovery. Im totally screwed. I need help please! What do I do!!!!????
Run an RUU to fix and only flash roms that are made for Sprint or have Sprint support.
Sounds like you flashed a GSM rom that's why everything is jacked up.

You *have* to get your Android SDK setup properly. All the commands your run end up on "command not found" of "invalid exe" and that suggests a few things:
First -- make *sure* you install the correct SDK for your computer. If you can't find them, let us know what your computer is (32-bit, 64-bit, windows, etc.). Further, it seem possible:
1) You did not yet install the Android SDK (or ADT bundle if that's what you grab);
2) If just the SDK, you did not run the 'android' app and let it update all the platform-tools apps (that's adb, fastboot, etc);
3) You did not open a command shell in the <sdk>/platform-tools directory, or you did not add your <sdk>/tools and <sdk>/platform-tools to your path. Further:
Finally -- make sure you have your USB drivers loaded if you're using Windows.
Don't run 300 miles per hour trying to fix things -- it'll kill your phone. Relax, take a breath and get the SDK setup. That will solve most of your problems (if not all). At least that's what it looks like from afar.
Before you run any of the RUU, you should be able to type either of:
adb devices
or
fastboot devices
The latter works only when you are at the bootloader with your USB plugged in and you selected 'fastboot'; the former runs only when your phone is booted fully.
The Sprint 3.05.651.5 RUU is available here: http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-one-sprint/news/ (Install at your own risk!)
