i live in Dallas,TX metro area; according to TMobile's 4G coverage map, my location is rated Excellent for 4G/4G-LTE service. doesn't T-Mobile primarily use the 1700 band for 4G LTE?

This phone is supposed to b unlocked for any gsm carrier. I just ordered mine today, about 7 hours ago. I still have no shipping info, but Ya, in the description, it says unlocked. I know for a fact it works on AT&T HSPA+

Can it be used in the u.s?

I'm in the process of getting a Samsung Galxaxy s i9000 from Europe (a trade) and I would like to know if I could use it on T-Mobile or AT&t in the United States. Would I have to unlock it or is it already unlocked?? Would love to know as soon as possible... thanks...

You should be able to use it on att. Not sure though if even with the proper modem that you can enable 850hz band. Still has 1900 though so you should be good. As far as unlocked goes, depends if it's a carrier model or not.

I currently have T-Mobile so I was wondering if I could use it with T-Mobile. The internet speeds don't really matter much, I just want it to make and receive calls and texts.

i9000 supports 3G bands 900/1900/2100
AT&T uses 850 and 1900. So you'll only get 3G on AT&T in 1900 MHz coverage areas.
TMobile uses AWS 3G bands (1700/2100 MHz). It requires BOTH to work on 3G at all, so it will only work on 2G/EDGE.
You could use a Galaxy S i9000T on the entire AT&T 3G coverage, as it supports 850/1900/2100 MHz.

Does the Dev Edition 64GB support DC-HSPA+ 42?

Anyone have any info on DC-HSPA+ support for the dev edition?

I know it supports HSPA+ but is it 21 or the DC 42? even on the 1900 will it be limited to 21 or does the phone have the DC 42 capability?

[Q] Does your One (EU model) work with HSPA 850 MHz band?

My unit bought from Clove won't work with HSPA 850 MHz band, despite the specsheet saying that it does indeed support such a frequency. I tried 3 different SIMs from 2 carriers in Thailand and couldn't get any signal. The phone doesn't have any problem with HSPA 900/2100 MHz though. I'm not sure if I have a faulty hardware, or the phone simply doesn't support HSPA 850 MHz networks.
I also tried factory resetting the phone several times, but in vain.
Is there anything that I can try to make it work? All of the RUUs available for download here have older version of radio.
Thanks!
Same problem in Australia

Thanks for your reply. At least I'm not the only one. Please share with me if you ever find a solution.
I'm not sure if the issue lies in the hardware. Would really like to try flashing different radios and see if it unlocks the band in question.
We are hoping it is firmware related as well. Will have to wait for S_Off before the radio can be flashed though

How do you know the phone u have is EU version and not from other region which not support 850MHZ?
The EU Version (which is what you will get from Clove or Expansys) doesn't support 850Mhz. There is a thread on here somewhere which details this, but I'm on mobile and can't find it right now.

[Q] No 4g/LTE

Hello. I have just bought a One with Sprint, I tried several Roms and never I Reached 4G in Spain. When I selected LTE or CDMA no data , If I put it in automatic I have 3G or H but never 4g.
Same issue. I know I can get 4G beause when I drive around, my phone has said 4G on it. With that being said, I only get 4G about .00001% of the time im using the network so it goes to 4G when i dont need it. i doubt its my phone its Sprints towers but that really sucks cuz 3G is sooooooo slow for me.
It's probably because your Spanish carrier does not use CDMA or Sprints LTE bands

Sprint is using 1900 800 and 2500. The sprint HTC only supports the 1900 lte

[Q] Best modem for HSDPA

Hi does anyone know of a flashable modem for the HTC one to improve HSDPA coverage, my phone is unlocked and mainly used overseas and my carrier supports the 1900/2100 MHz bands but so far I'm only getting edge

As far as I've ever head the GSM is limited to the edge network, which leads back to my previous point.
