Just curious: do recoveries (CWM, TWRP) need permission to be posted at all? Many new devices' forums start with a custom recovery thread and I wonder who should they ask permission from. Maybe @Dees_Troy (TWRP author)? But what about CWM? Aren't the images freely published in ROMs and on Jenkins?

Show us the difference between "compile" and "kang", will you? Sources are publicly licensed aren't they? Or else every single CM unofficial builds (previously also know as "kang") would be closed because they don't ask for permissions. And did @Dees_Troy say in any thread that "you can't use any file of mine"?
I'm trying to hold and be polite for as long as I can...

The latest version is 2.6.3.4 of TWRP. But since this an unofficial build, and the person that compiled this hasn't really shown any more interest, I doubt there will be a later update. With all that being said, I suggest the use of 4EXT recovery RC9 instead.

why unofficial.?

No there is a official TWRP 2.6.3.7 (Samsung Galaxy Note 3) and a unofficial TWRP 2.6.3.10 (Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101), but bad enough our TWRP stayed at 2.6.0.0
But we have since a few days 4EXT Recovery 1.0.0.6 RC1.

Alright, looks like I'm the first developer who owns the Nexus 4, wills to create a flashable Android 4.3 zip and decided to test it before uploading to XDA.
So here it is. Android 4.3. Build JWR66V.

Moreover, it contains Terminal Emulator (useful app, really) and Quick Social - my latest and (so far) my best app for Android.
You all love Quick Social, don't you?

Yup. This was ported from the One. So expected to not work. But shouldn't be difficult to fix that.
Thanks a lot for what all of you did to getting MIUI on the Xperia Z !
I will be following this thread to give you feedback.
On the other thread, i mentioned my data network didn't work, forget that. I check my access point and it work perfectly now.
But i was really surprised when i wanted to go to my clockworkmod and i saw a "Teamwin mod"-thing... It's not very kind to do some thing we didn't want...
Somebody have a *.zip to get back my old clockworkmod ? Thanks
The MIUI V5 Rom work very well. Unfortunately, there is the SD Card problem who cause a lot of ForceClose. But i'm sure you will get it work.
Keep the good work guys !

In services.jar.out\smali\com\android\server the all filename start with MountService

I think the Kernel is still in the early builds, just wait till the dev updates it and you'll see more features and stability.
Cause I switched into this rom and I find that the recovery which comes with this rom the newest version I assume and it's a bit slow compare to the the last version., So I assume that the it will be fine once the kernel gets updated well
So how does this fare compared to the other 4.4 roms out there?
Does it have the huge lockscreen delay and random lags like the rest?
Is superuser working in ART?

that's because twrp os the only custom recovery available for the nexus 6. cwm was discontinued the beginning of last year. and Philz is based on cwm.

Me too, but don't worry, TWRP is very similar.
I don't think its similar. It does much of what Philz does but I preferred philz.

You'll get used to twrp (and you'll have to)
Check out the. Material theme for twrp to make it much more user friendly

When I got this phone and realized I was going to need to use TWRP instead of philz's cwm, I got a bit upset. Honestly, I don't know why. I use the theme Root pointed to and love it.
Thanks that really helps out a lot! Really like the style of it and will prob be the closest I will get to CWM

I felt the same way after being away about 4 years and my Nexus 6 was not getting updates anymore so I came to see what good things were here. Getting used to TWRP myself but there are a bunch of themes out there to make it your own and it helps a bit. Here's my setup...
Edit: Just noticed this thread was started way back LOL.
