What is MIUI?
MIUI is based on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean (2.3.x Gingerbread and CyanogenMod 9 sources for older versions), and was initially developed in the Chinese language by Chinese startup Xiaomi.[8] Xiaomi added a number of apps to enhance the basic framework; those include MITalk (a Blackberry Messenger clone), MINotes, MIBackup, MIMusic, and MIGallery.
Updates are usually provided over-the-air every Friday. MIUI is then translated and ported in unofficial versions to other languages by independent developers. List of supported phones may be complete or a subset. ROMs are very similar but not identical. The list of translations can be found on MIUI official site

I'm using 4.2.2 Leaked version and when i was try to installing your rom my phone stuck in "Samsung Galaxy Grand GT-I9082" screen...
how to install it....?????
Suggestion:
Instead of making a different FAQ thread, integrate those issues in this thread. Like for example this guy above has a boot loop as he flashed on 4.2.2. You have mentioned this issue on your other thread. It's difficult to keep a track of 3 different threads just for 1 ROM.

You have to be back at 4.1.2 before you flash this ROM because of bootloader issues. You will get a boot loop if you flash it over 4.2.2. This is according to the OP in a different thread.

i wanted to let you know a few things..
1.the rom is awesome..no words...
2.following bugs were found:
* when i try to send a message the network goes and returns and the message is not send.so micloud account isnt able to activate
*when i try to take a screenshot using the screenshot button in taskbar systemui force stops
*GALLERY app doesnot show any pictures of SD CARD...

Download the XSP.zip (ArC) & Your Device XSP Patches(If it's not Xperia Arc/S)
Fastboot the kernel included on the build or (From your device patch files)
Backup your /data contents: contacts, apps, sms, etc. or backup via recovery
Move the XSP the root folder of your sdcard.
Enter CWM and:
- Select 'backup and restore -> Backup'
- Select 'wipe data/factory reset' (MUST DO)
- Flash the zip. To do this, Select 'install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard' and select the XSP.zip
- Flash patches (if you devices it's not the xperia arc
Reboot (first boot will take ~5 mins)

Since I haven't seen anyone post feedback on this Project at all, and I'm not even sure if it will boot, but I'll give this a try as soon as my backup is done and I'll report back.
Zackconsole, could you give any pointers regarding on how to patch?
I'm mostly an app developer and I don't have that much experience with Kernels (yet), but I do know how to compile android, I prefer my own builds over FXP and CyanogenMod, because it allows a bit more customization.
Anyway, going to give this a try and see if it even boots (In the "working" list you only have the Arc/s noted as "booting") and then report back.
If I understood correctly this is based on FXP's CyanogenMod?

Flashed, booted, and damn this is fast.
Going to mess around a bit the coming hour and then reflash my own CM10 backup again

Donation made (not much $10) and I tested the slide out keyboard from the Pro.
The keyboard works, function wise, which is a good thing!
Rotation not yet and backlight of course, but we knew these things. What I understood from the backlight is that it's defined somewhere in the framework-res file. Not yet sure where, but I'll figure it out someday

I just deinstalled it since I need a working version of Android for my internship/job (app development).
I'll reinstall and make some screens somewhere later this week. Do note, almost nothing works, so not that much to show

Can't you make screenshots using ADB?
I mainly use QtADB for my development debugging and that has a screenshot feature..
Haven't tested it with HTC Sense yet, but I'll give it a try if I reinstall this later this week

yes I'm sure the settings dont look as good but if you change to the dual pane ui in settings then make sure you use super user in landscape mode because the allow and deny buttons won't work with these settings,
OK SO IF YOU WOULD LIKE DUAL SETTINGS PANEL BACK
follow these instructions
1 set file manager to root access in general
2 navigate to / (root) then goto system/etc/paranoid/
3 open properties.conf' now find the line
Com.android.settings.layout=360
Change it to 720,
4 reboot and enjoy

so the rom is based on cyanogenmod so if theres issues in cm theres the same here too
but as the source is a little newer it may have some fixes or some other issues,
but ive tested it and heres what works so far
everything ive pretty much gone through every feature and it all works

if you try to install apps with halo enabled you wont be able to click install, this is by design, and how google made android, next release will fix this problem,
also the menu option in settings doesnt work properly because 3 dot menu should be enabled by default, enabled in rom control/generalui/ show menu ui overlay on
this will be default in the next release

Yes it has Volume up tweak but you have to enable manualy in the Rom control

I am following the ARMv6 team's setup for rom zip. There is a folder called "extra" which contains not so useful apps, fonts etc.
Those who want to use them, just unzip the file, put the app/font etc u want to use inside the corresponding directory inside /system directory.
Then delete the extra folder and zip the files.
Flash the zip.
Profit ?

Procedure To Install:
Download and push the ROM to SD Card
Reboot to Recovery Mode
Select Wipe data and cache
Select install zip from sd card
Select choose zip from sd card
Select the ROM
Select Yes - Install update
Wait until the Installation is finish
Select Wipe data
Select Wipe cache partition
Go to advanced menu and wipe dalvik cache
Select reboot system now
NOTE - Please report bugs other than known ones, with a logcat.

was at friend's place..he had a powerful laptop XD so compiled it..

edit:i tested the rom for 30min and i found some little things like some resizing needed(screenshots)
and the camcorder is a little laggy,
the performance of the rom is from good to very good not even a feeling of lag, dunno after u install a bunch of apk
i think that if this will ever be aosp it'll work almost perfect

no cant do it..sources are too big 15gb ..my connection is too slow :/

A_u can u resize the lock screen ring to somewhat smaller . it doesn't looks good with weather enabled

i dont use weather and dont need it too, so cant fix..maybe pm milo for help..he's good at fixing layout..

INSTALLATION
Make a backup!
If you were on CM 10.1 or a stock ROM prior to 4.2, upgrade to 4.2.
Install the ROM using Recommended RECOVERY
Optionally install the GAPPS
Wipe data if coming from stock
Optionally enable dual SIM support(SEE FAQ)
Note that Dual SIM mode currently has the following limitations:
Both SIMs are always enabled (no way to disable one SIM)
"Receive incoming call while data is enabled" is always enabled
The QuickSettings tile will display the status for the currently selected SIM for data
There is no arrow activity indicator in the status bar.
Changing 2G/3G network mode using the QuickSettings toggle is not supported, only do it from Settings.
3G may not work properly if Dual SIM mode is enabled with only 1 SIM inserted
Cannot set different ringtone for each SIM
Call logs doesn't know the incoming

SORRY..everyone for the inconvenience actually i took that screenshot of my build attempts where i was using CARBON ROM as a base. @xenon92 sorry brother for that mistake TOLD you it's my first time..well i have solved the problem though..and thank for telling me that..and please don't do any bad comments on it if you don't like my work as i am a newbie in this and want to learn more. peace out! enjoy.

i'm happy with the first release. I see there are two small bugs : Toggle not enough 4 icons displayed on one line and Clock is black icon when using Defaut theme. and font size is still large when choose Small
