INSTALLATION
Make a backup!
If you were on CM 10.1 or a stock ROM prior to 4.2, upgrade to 4.2.
Install the ROM using Recommended RECOVERY
Optionally install the GAPPS
Wipe data if coming from stock
Optionally enable dual SIM support(SEE FAQ)
Note that Dual SIM mode currently has the following limitations:
Both SIMs are always enabled (no way to disable one SIM)
"Receive incoming call while data is enabled" is always enabled
The QuickSettings tile will display the status for the currently selected SIM for data
There is no arrow activity indicator in the status bar.
Changing 2G/3G network mode using the QuickSettings toggle is not supported, only do it from Settings.
3G may not work properly if Dual SIM mode is enabled with only 1 SIM inserted
Cannot set different ringtone for each SIM
Call logs doesn't know the incoming

This has multilanguage support.
I have been using this ROM for a couple of days, and everything seems to be working.
I also added emoji support, but the smileys are in black and white, unlike the official version.
nice ..downloading will try the Rom and will report with the feedback.
Flashed and perfect except one big problem: Gallery and Music doesnt recognise external sdcard files
And another problem: Slide down Music app icon, and also Notes icon; they FC.
External Sdcard problem solved by itself. Or just me clicked refresh button in Music folder.

It's acting weird. Sometimes works sometimes FCs. I'm ok with it now Thanks a dozen mate for this awesome AOSP Miui Rom.

I think it no problem, it happens perhap with 4.3
Can you also provide a solution about led blinking when battery is low thing? In original Miui there is extra settings about phone but with Aosp this can't be shot down.

Is there a setting for this in the latest CM 10.1 ROM? If there is, i can try to port using CM.

I now realize how much I've missed MIUI
Thanks @datagutt , MIUI 4.2.2 have been greatly missed for our S3.
It seems I have a tough choice ahead of me….-stay with 10.2 or revert back to 10.1 and MIUI
Will let the ROM settle for some days and see.

What is MIUI?
MIUI is based on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean (2.3.x Gingerbread and CyanogenMod 9 sources for older versions), and was initially developed in the Chinese language by Chinese startup Xiaomi.[8] Xiaomi added a number of apps to enhance the basic framework; those include MITalk (a Blackberry Messenger clone), MINotes, MIBackup, MIMusic, and MIGallery.

Suggestion:
Instead of making a different FAQ thread, integrate those issues in this thread. Like for example this guy above has a boot loop as he flashed on 4.2.2. You have mentioned this issue on your other thread. It's difficult to keep a track of 3 different threads just for 1 ROM.

You have to be back at 4.1.2 before you flash this ROM because of bootloader issues. You will get a boot loop if you flash it over 4.2.2. This is according to the OP in a different thread.

1.the rom is awesome..no words...
2.following bugs were found:
* when i try to send a message the network goes and returns and the message is not send.so micloud account isnt able to activate
*when i try to take a screenshot using the screenshot button in taskbar systemui force stops
*GALLERY app doesnot show any pictures of SD CARD...

Gummy Roms was always first choice on nexus s.

All the basics are working as it should be, MMS, DATA, LTE, Calls.

aosp keyboard FC if you try to swipe.
(I use Kii keyboard soooo)
Playstore not coming up on 1st login.
(I cleared playstore cache & data in settings/apps ** working great now & it's themed)
CPU was set to max on boot 2106, I'm not sure if most phones can boot (I booted fine)
Init.d not activated (used universal init.d app to activate).
Not outside, so I can't check GPS.
Again...

Finally got outdoors GPS locking on perfectly. (Tested with GPS Data app & on jfltespr-aosp-faux123-011m kernel)
Working with Google maps NAV. :thumbup:

Hi. Unfortunately this version is very laggy for me. Something is wrong it just hangs for a second even just typing text. I flashed another kernel and then i got phone FC's.

Thank you for porting this was waiting long time for it For me as much as i can say everything is working except Liquid wallpapers (it crashes) after a while.No problem with contacts or dialer for now.Using stock kernel.

You guys serious, you really should keep up to date with changelogs.. CM changed the ramdisk, therefore it is changed in all other ROMS to this date, you can't use the non-stock kernels cuss its got an old ramdisk, use anykernel for now, this isn't a bug, its your fault for not searching first..

They changed ramdisk with which build? I'm using 21102013 nightly with Optimus Prime and it's working just fine oO

When you are testing some rom use it for couple days as it is since all you are reporting are uselles since you flashed random things and each of them coud couse problem that you reported.

Will be from Nightly 23102013 onwards, for example carbons changelog is easiest to understand but liquids is basically following the same 'system' path, check the 23rd Oct changleog. Changed ramdisk..

Trying to set up APN so i get working network but it keep requesting MCK and MNS and i dont have a clue whta should i type there since my network provider only gives us user name passwork and apn name.On earlyer relises it never asked me for this thingds.Anyone know what is the catch here ?

What network provider? And you should just Google, APN settings android 'carrier' and use some from sites like geeksquad, I never had this problem with mine and I'm with talktalk..

About Omni
The goal of Omni is to experiment with Android development because we enjoy it. Omni isn’t better, just different. It’s another option for the billion Android users out there. Android (vs. iOS and every other mobile OS) has thrived on options as well as the gigantic, talented development community that has emerged to build those options. This particular build will stay in line with Omni Rom with a couple added features. Right now this is in line with Omni Source, all I've done is added Multi-Window and compiled for Mako
I have as of Apr 1st uploaded a SEPARATE build including Floating Window with the App Sidebar. To enable the App Sidebar go into settings and under Interface/More there is an option to enable App Circle Bar. Watch these two videos to further understand.

The multiple window function isnt completely stable yet, but I haven't had any reboots yet. What kernel are you using? Any undervolt? That's why it's not implemented in main stream Omni yet.

I am using the default kernel from Omni rom, I have not experienced any undervolts yet. Maybe I should try a different kernel as the omni rom seems overclocked, what do you think?
Okay guys, I cherry picked a patch set released at 1 am yesterday for multi window. I believe this new patch is what is making it so unstable so I'm starting a build with the tried and true patch now to see if there's any difference.
As far as floating window I'll do a separate build with it soon and have it posted as well but I want to get multi window working well first

The new upload of 29th is working great, I have had no reboots so far and multi window seems pretty stable! Excellent!

If I was to do that I would have to change the name and anything that makes it look like Omni. I can add certain features that keep in line with their Gerrit and maybe a couple more but I can't just add anything and everything. If I was to do that I would have to create a whole new project.
