there is a variety of boot animations in www.romkitchen.org you can just make a update.zip and flash it thru recovery. thats the easiest method,

Just go to http://www.romkitchen.org/sgs/?s=generator and Base Rom : update.zip, then set boot animation whatever you want
Remove boot animation zip should return to stock animation.

Yes, install a custom ROM like ARHD, gets rid of the logo, plus you get the latest base, 1.29.401.13 at the moment.

I'd really like to replace that Facebook logo with the stock jellybean boot animation but when I placed it and rebooted, the Facebook logo still appeared. Do I need to delete the Facebook logo first? Could you explain to me how to get it to work?

Copy htcboot.zip to computer then unzip. Place image in android folder and name it 1.png( used gimp). Then use 7zip and zip android folder and desc.text(make sure to set compression at store). Then copy new HTC_boot up.zip back to system/customize/resource/(used root explorer for this). Finally set permission s to rw-r-r.

First thanks to TrueBlue_Drew for EZ Splash Screen Flasher.
How to use:
1st do 1 to make sure your phone is seen
2nd do 6 to backup splash file
3rd do 2 to invert png must be 720 x 1280(pngs work better)
4th do 7 follow screen
Uploaded jelleybean splash img can be placed in place image here folder and skip #3
Hope this is close to what you wanted RCon227
No more FB splash or bootanimation.:victory:
Also upload EZ Splash Screen Flasher File and Pics
This thread inspired me to finally try to eradicate the Facebook logo at startup but I used a little different method. I simply downloaded a complete boot animation zip (tons of them on xda...) and copied it to the appropriate folder in es file explorer. Everything worked like a charm EXCEPT the damn Facebook logo shows up before the custom animation. This is even after the original boot animation zip is removed completely from the directory. Anyone have any insight on how to fix this?

The original SplashFlasher is set up for 480×800. But this is easily adjusted.
The harder challenge I'm facing is that it doesn't convert the img file to png correctly. Anyone has a workaround for this?
Try converting IMG online first then use splashflasher to install. Had to convey jpg online first not thru splashflasher. Dry I wasn't clear on that.

Hate to bump a thread like this, but I can't seem to get rid of the Facebook logo. I can splash the new image and it will come up but the Facebook logo comes right afterwards. Any help would be great! I'm sure I'm just missing something.

This only changes the splash screen, the 2nd fb logo is actually the boot animation.

HTC Desire C stuck on HTC logo

Hi all. So I've just unlocked the bootloader on my Cricket HTC Desire C. But when I try to install Superboot, it just reboots and stays stuck on the HTC logo with a message. "This build is for development purposes only". Can anyone help me?

r1 superboot splash screen
1. Was the phone operating and in use after you rooted it with r1_Superboot?
2. Have you installed Superboot and installed a ROM without rebooting the system or wiping caches/data etc?
3. Have you installed a Custom Recovery?
4. Have you ensured you have read through guides before flashing? I ask this with only -*1*- posting it does not bode well!
A quick google search and 3 pages in you find -> https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=26&cad=rja&ved=0CEsQFjAFOBQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.xda-developers.com%2Fshowthread.php%3Ft%3D2305429%26page%3D2&ei=KvyuUr_dJ4OAhAftnIDABw&usg=AFQjCNGgxlojZOIPXesuQTzy0TOM7dCwBw&bvm=bv.57967247,d.bGQ Go back to Thread Start and post #6 leads you to a good guide -> {{READ the whole thread as there may be more up to date info than my quick search }} http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1947613
If after trying to access HBOOT, flash a recovery, flash a ROM does not work you will have to see about flashing a DIAG image {extreme case}
The key is Cricket. try this thread, very hard to find... http://www.cricketusers.com/cricket-htc-desire-c/85095-root-new-post.html
Anything here in XDA is not for the Cricket, don't try.
I have not done anything except unlocking the bootloader.
