With the kind of closed case needed for IP58-certification I reckon it would be hard to add an effective temperature sensor. And also, I have weather apps for that.

Thanks for all your answers. I just ask because I read Z1 would have it in some of the leaked spec. But it definitely look like a great device.

I'll suggest you please put some relevant subject or title, this might help others finding this thread, who may be able to answer your question.

[EDIT - no barometer on H1 duh!] Anyone find a working barometer app?

I haven't found an app in the market that displays my htc one's barometer reading properly, or at all really. Is it just me?

I was not aware the One has a Barometer (you mean a barometric pressure sensor?)?
Yes, that's what I meant.
Well, that would certainly explain it, if it doesn't have one!
So it doesn't? Maybe I've been reading too many s4 vs h1 articles where it listed the s4 as having a barometer but didn't comment on the h1.
It doesnt have a temperature sensor

Mist on the mirror of camera

Mornin'! (at least here in PL)
Yesterday when i was in jacuzzi i decided to take some underwater pictures using my Z. Ive heared it isnt designed to be submerged, though of course SONY promotes it as it does. Ok but lets move to a problem. After first picture taken accuracy gone bad, the water was clean but pictures of even close localised things were blurred. I remember someone here on forum showed his underwater pictures and they were great actually. Mine were not worth a penny... After bathing i had swab the water all of my device and then i saw the mist on the interior site of mirror of camera. Now its already gone but had been there for few houres. Camera still works perfect after mist had gone, no problems there, however mist is an evidence of water coming somehow through. All of the indicators are white, so its not where the problem comes from. So my question is are you guys facing with such a thing after bathing, is it normal or is it as i said evidence of malfunction? Next question if i bought my Z from polish network Play does it mean warranty is ensured only by them or i can take it to SONY Center and they can fix up this issue too?

Some people are def. confused. XZ was never designed as underwater camera. Keep it safe and out of water.

I hope so, anyway Im going to take it under warranty to check whether everything is ok. And back to my question: can I take it directly to SONY Center rather than taking it to local network provider who sold me my phone?

Probably. Along as you have proof of purchase. But if there's nothing wrong theres nothing they are going to find. And probably charge you for wasting their time

galaxy gear wristband

i could not find any other thread on this so this is my question:
Is there a way to change the gears wristband?
it would be nice to do that if it was sold as a replacement accessory and one could do that easily!

Nope not possible. There are wires running through it for the camera and speaker...

Yes wires on the camera side but shouldn't be on the other side correct? I'm actually still using a watch extender haven't tried to see what was on the other side yet.

Download boost from S5?

Does anyone know if that would be a possible feature to port or imitate on our z1? Gotta say that is one feature that doesn't sound like a gimmick. Perhaps there is already an app that I couldn't find that already does this?

It's nothing new, an app called "Super Download" has been around since 2012 doing exactly the same. It can be found here.

This. People keep saying it's a hardware thing. No...nothing samsung does is a hardware thing. Heart rate monitor? Apps did the same thing for years. The fingerprint sensor and IR blaster is the only "hardware" thing that can't be replicated on other phones. (or have already been replicated)
Thanks!

Eh?
How does an app that pretends to scan your finger but just detects your touch come even remotely close to a real fingerprint scanner?

They don't, but some of them have a special way of touching them, kinda like a code, stupid but its as close as you get without the hardware
