Waterproof case - G2 Accessories

Any rumours on waterproof case for LG G2? Dedicated Otterbox, spg, seidio etc? Or just have to use some generic cases like Proporta Beachbuoy?
ISILDUR

yes please

I'm definitely hoping Lifeproof picks it up but looking for some sort of drop/water resistant case for it as well (picking up my G2 tomorrow morning)

Today I orderd an Aqua Box Pro 20 from Ram Mounts, should fit according to their specs.
http://www.rammount.com/Products/AQUABOX/AQUABOXPro20/tabid/4881/Default.aspx
I use the Navionics Marine and Lakes charting software with the phone on my Waverunner. Definitely not for everyone and not an everyday case as it adds a lot of bulk to the phone. But it does allow me to mount it so I can see the charts while I'm riding and not worry about the phone being drenched by saltwater when the water is rough.

RAM Mounts Aquabox Pro 20
@Ronbo19: Did your LG G2 fit into the Aquabox Pro 20? According to RAM Mounts the Pro20's internal size is 5.38" x 2.8" x 0.55". The LG G2's (D802) dimensions are 5.45'' x 2.791'' x 0.35'' however. Thus the LG G2 is according to the specs .07'' too big in height for the Pro 20. It would be great if you could tell me exactly what G2 model you have, if you were able to squeeze your G2 into the Pro 20 and if you are able to properly take videos/photos with the G2 in that case.

Verizon version is thicker due to Wireless charging.
Look for measurements in mm, not inches as that's the industry standard :good:
Given that cases are mostly entirely standard, apart from for the verizon g2 is it? I think that LG won't be getting any complaints at all. I just got my Spigen case today, it has a hole in the back for the noise cancelling mic. However, my phone is a UK 802 and has no mic hole on the back at all, yet, the case fits perfectly. So the phone cant be any bigger than the others?
the reason why I think that is because many have said the cases dont fit from different manufacturers. And different measurements are reported across LGs own website for D802.
According to Verizon website the phone is same dimensions as AT&T and Tmobile. The measurements are reported on their website as the same. So something has gone wrong
Sent from my LG-D802
yeah well i had the poetic feather type case before they specified that verizons version wouldn't fit it, and it didn't fit at all. had to send it back.
so yeah, cases from any other version won't fit verizon, period.
So its true wrong sizes are being reported not only by lg.
where didnt the Verizon fit?

International D800-D803/Sprint all have the same form factor with the D800 mic as an exception.
Verizon has a specific rear housing, different buttons and has wireless charging thus is a different form factor.
Korean model has a (easily)removable back cover, removable battery and an SD card slot, early flip cover cases and cases imported from Korea were found to not fit, which was a result of their phone being different.
This really isn't rocket science when you understand the differences between the phones, it seems some case makers have made really expensive mistakes though.
adapted first post accordingly

Cool let us know what they say?
I think that I and other user might have just got unlucky. Its just the differences in size could have played a role in all the reports across case manufacturers of not fitting cases.
It depends if all d802 owners experience this with the black version. So far I know of 3, myself included
edit: pretty much everyone with a D802 has it with this case

S-line case, protector, iphone earphones

I have D415, ordered S-line case on ebay. It doesn't fit right, slightly smaller than my phone. I wonder if its a defect or made for 405/410 models? Cutouts don't align properly and the case doesn't fit. I like the case. Its cheap and grippy. The screen protector that was included with it is not perfect edge to edge but it fits ok. Ordered another protector from a different seller and its the same fit. Looking for seller recommendations for good-fitting edge-to-edge screen protector and s-line case.
forgot to mention got my hands on the original ipod/iphone earpods. mic works great with this phone. I use it to record phone conversations on landline. For some reason the same earpods don't work with s3. Also earpod buttons can control some 3rd party camera apps. Something i discovered recently after playing with bt remotes.
Is the LG Optimus L90 D415 bigger than the D405/410? I just bought a case and it seems to be too small for my phone.

same here. The seller i bought from says its not for 415 and 405/410 are different. Seller has a picture of what looks like 415 but 415 is not listed. Ordered from another seller that has 405/510/415 listed. That seller says they are the same. No separate option to order for different modes. 16 days after ordering received ebay notification my item has shipped. it'll be another month before i know if this case is the right one, if i ever receive it.

the first case that doesn't fit bought on ebay - seller hksanho. waiting for the second case from seller buyeasy-uk2. will post when/if it arrives. s-line tpu case.
Just in case nobody knows this, if you get some headphones, earbuds, or IEMs that are designed to work with Samsung Galaxy devices (since the Galaxy S2, iirc) they'll work perfectly with LG devices like the G2, G3, L90, L9, Tribute, and so on.
I have a pair of Koss Steel earbuds that I "transplanted" to a Samsung cord w/remote about 2 years ago, plugged them into my G2 a few weeks back and was happily surprised they functioned as expected: Play/Pause/Next works as it should and the Volume buttons work properly as well.
No additional software required... just wanted to toss that out there so other people know if they don't already. You can get Samsung Galaxy earbuds on eBay for like $10 or less these days, the cord quality is excellent and very difficult to get knotted up because of the way it's designed and the particular materials it's made of make it pretty much knot-resistant too. I keep mine in a pocket in my shorts most of the time, take 'em out and they're ready to go in seconds without having to fight to untangle 'em.
Just an FYI for folks with LG devices.

I will no longer order cases for this phone on ebay. S-LINE case from two different sellers did not fit D415. Its smaller than the phone. Sellers either don't know what their suppliers sell or play the "i refund you leave 5 start positive feedback" game selling defective crap. Very annoying. Always buy cheap cases on ebay, never had a problem before.
I hope someone can find a case online that fits and post the link.

The case I bought from cellphonecases.com fit. I didn't think that it fit at first. I thought that I had to make it fit in the case by pressing hard. Someone showed me that I had to pull off the rubber casing and then pull apart the plastic pieces, which go on the front and back of the phone. Then put the rubber casing back on and it worked.

on aliexpress or ebay or amazon. there is cheapper than in any other store

Alternate 22mm straps?

Anyone replace out your strap/band yet? How does it look?

Yep, hated the stock band. I purchased this one... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EYVBJA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Super quick review... Matches the watch like it was built for it. I've had this brand before and it held up well which isn't surprising, it feels like a piece of decent quality. Quicker to take on and off and less likely to drop your watch which is true all of straps of this type versus a buckle. Regrets = zero.

Its much easier to match up the stainless than various gold, rose, graphite, ti, etc. bands/straps/bracelets. I would consider taking it to a larger shop where they have a good inventory and try to match it up.

I am curious about how you charge the watch with a metal band. Could someone please post a picture of your watch on the stock charger to show how you do it?

The magnet is strong enough to hold the charger to the phone in most any position including the watch laying on its side. You can do it however you want.
Got the SUPER engineer Type II based on reviews
Amazon item B00CSE7IJ2
I know it seems like it's a bit pricey compared to others like the Hadley Roma but I'm super impressed with the quality. It's very heavy and the edges are not rounded over like it was mass produced. The links that can be removed for sizing have screws and they are super easy to adjust. I also like the buttons on the flip part of the band closure.
$72 bucks is still a hell of a lot cheaper than those rip off apple metal bands. Can't imagine them being any higher quality than this.
Important note: the 2.5mm fat boy pins that come with this larger band do not fit into the body of the LG Urbane because the lugs or tips are 0.8mm instead of the tiny ones that came on the existing leather strap band. For now, I'm using the pins that came with the watch, which are standard 22mm, but with smaller lugs. I could not find another vendor who made a 2.5mm pin with smaller tips since these larger bands are designed to go on Seiko's or diving watches.
Update: My plan is to put the fat boy pins that came with the watch in my dremel and use a micro diamond file ($13 on amazon) to reduce the lug down to a diameter that works in the Urbane. I will post an update if it works out and post links to the files I bought. Don't see why it wouldn't work and I don't think there is any other choice if you want to utilize the fat boy pins...which I do.
Stay tuned...pics coming.
Peter
ptchan5, could you explain in greater detail the Fatboy 2.5mm lug and LGs .8mm tips?
Keep us posted in the project
Anyone here thinking of going with a dark brown aligator band with the silver watch?
I would love to here what you guys think... or am I the only one not going with the metal braclet.

I like this also.
Metal bands are not my thing.
Fat boy 22mm Spring Pins MOD
This is a follow-up to my previous post.
I used a dremel to reduce the diameter of the lugs on the 2.5mm fat boy spring pins that come with the heavy diver watch metal bands. I searched high and low and I believe all the thick spring pins come with 0.8-1.0mm lugs at the tips which are too big for the body of the LG Urbane. Turns out the pins that come with the Urbane are actually smaller than the holes in the watch body, but the fat boy pins are just a wee bit too large.
This MOD took about 5-8 minutes to do and worked perfectly! Now you can use the spring pins that were supposed to go with the larger metal band.
All you need to do is insert the spring pin into the dremel about half way and turn the dremel on to low setting. I bought the cheapest set of micro files I could find on Amazon Prime for $14 bucks and I ended up only using a single file out of the set. The one I used was the 90 degree square one so I could easily just hold it up to the lug for a minute or two and moved it forward and backward while watching the lug leave metal residue on the file. The 316L stainless steel pins are not soft metal! So it's nearly impossible to mess this one up. Once I got the pins to be reduced down in size visually I tested them in the watch before proceeding to do the rest of the pin ends.
Again, don't waste your time searching ebay or Amazon for 2.5mm pins with smaller lug pins. They don't exist. Besides by the time you buy them and find out they don't work you could have owned a nice set of micro files and been done with the MOD on the original pins that shipped with the watch band.
Very happy with the results. Ping me if none of this makes sense. Enjoy!
** Apparently can't post the pics, so ping me and I'll email them to you; maybe someone else can post them for me **

That one has the cutout for the Moto 360. You don't need that for the Urbane.

That's not a factor for me. I'm getting that one because I liked the design best. I'm sure it would fit the urbane just fine.
I'm not much of a watch geek and have never paid too much attention to what strap I'm using. I used a NATO strap with my Pebble and the original straps with both my Pebble Steel and LG G Watch R.
However, I keep reading how uncomfortable the Urbane's strap is and it got me thinking: could I use the one in the Watch R with the Urbane? I find that one pretty comfortable.
Gorgeous!
Finally received my new metal bracelet and it beats anything I have ever seen, it really makes my watch look fair superior than even an apple watch

Best selfie stick for Note 5?

I'm looking for a high quality selfie stick for my travels (not those chinese $5-7 ones). My needs:
- Durable (must feel solid and can support heavy phones with ease)
- Big slot for phones like the Note 5
- 3.5mm cord variant is preferred (bluetooth is okay)
- Good grip material is a plus (not required)
- No need of any extra flashy features
Can anyone recommend a good one? Thanks in advance!

I would never go with a chinese power case. Maybe if it was just a case. But batteries or electronic components, not so much. My advice is to make a bigger investment with something that holds quality since you are using it with a very expensive smartphone. I've come across several smart cases. So you can check Nexpaq, I-blades or this Otterbox if you are interested in something innovative. You can get extra battery life, expand memory, put laser light, enviro sensor etc. Take a look, at least it is not something ordinary. If you are only into extra battery the Zerolemon is always here
