What is the crystal made from? - Samsung Galaxy Gear

Does any member have any information regarding the Gears watch Crystal? I doubt it is sapphire glass but ponder if its Corning Gorilla. I ask as I notice some third party brands are already offering screen savers? On a watch though? I can say this with no hesitation if the glass is not strong I will be numero uno to bust it. All my watches have a sapphire crystal for this reason.
What happens when that strap wears out? It appears an integral part of the watch and non replaceable? Again any one know what the strap is made from?
I think in all my years of purchasing technology this is my first without actually seeing the device. Still a fool is soon parted from his money so that's why I am broke again!:silly:
Thanks in advance,
Regards

I do hope you are correct. sapphire glass rates only second to diamond in terms of hardness. Sapphire glass costs a fortune though! How the heck have Samsung managed to fit a sapphire glass that size when the glass alone would cover the total cost of the watch?
Why are Samsung so secretive about the specs. I still cannot find 'an official' spec from Samsung that has this information in writing?
No need for screen saver with sapphire glass that a given. I do hope you are correct.:good:
Regards.

Bulk purchasing power, that is how Samsung manages it plus they are likely not making anything off version 1.0 so they can get more sales on the Galaxy Note series they are tied into.

Guess I beat you guys to it.. :|

As I suspected from the word go, its NOT sapphire glass.
This is one of those occasions where I hate to be proved correct. I thought sapphire was too good to be true.
I have written a reply in your other thread regarding your problem.

No confrontation from me at all when I ask where you got that information from? The safety booklet that comes in the box in SOME countries, not this one, says; Glass or acrylic?
How could it be Glass or acrylic, its either one or the other and if Samsung don't know who does?
Again, I would question Coning glass as mine already has minute marks on the glass and I treat my watches with the greatest care and respect, I collect them.
Agggggga, cant we find a definitive answer to this?
Thanks for your input though. Please do let us know where this information comes from.
Kind regards.

Nothing official then or printed on a Samsung site? Reps will and do say anything. I have no idea where your rep got his info' from?
The warranty book that comes in the box in most countries states the crystal is made from Glass or acrylic? Don't ask I have no idea.
One chap I asked said the crystal was "Some sort of glass and the camera lens is acrylic"?
Absurd not being able to ascertain such basic information in writing from Samsung. I have now put mine back in its box until some screen savers arrive. I don't want to risk scratching that large screen, would detract from the looks.
Regards

I haven't even been able to use it for more than one day. Watch is sitting in its box back home, will contact my service provider once am back from my trip..

Same with me. Add to the lack of consumer knowledge regarding the crystal I am seeing more and more posts regarding the lens misting up.
This has been due to perspiration. I live in the hottest country in Europe and just a walk to the post box can make one sweat especially under ones watch. My concern is that lens plus those bare contacts, will they short out? No exposed electronics like moisture!
Have got to the point where I am just not using the watch, I just don't need this hassle-worry right now. Like many others I have a waiting list of problems and a wrist watch will have to join the end of a long list of far high prioritise.
Best wishes.

I have a few micro scratches on my watch face now. I had a cheap screen protector on it for all of last week and I removed it Saturday because I thought that the glass was sapphire. Well it must not be, because I wiped the dust off of the face with my shirt and now I have a few scratches. They are very small but I can see them in the right lighting.

Hi, From posts I am reading it certainly appears the crystal is not sapphire. At this price I thought it impossible even though a few posters assured me it was sapphire.
I have already re ordered some screen savers BUT screen savers on a watch? The problem is the crystal is raised so will attract every tiny mark as yours has done. Add this to the camera misting up, the clasp being the most unreliable type of design possible, poor IP protection and the Gear is already a hard ware nightmare.
I will probably be purchasing the Sony 11 when it arrives here as already I am seeing in some other countries the price has dropped.
Overall I suspect the gear was rushed into production without research and development just to try and be the first of its type on the market regardless of some very poor design faults. On this occasion Samsung has not impressed me.
Oh BTW, why has Samsung introduced the Note 3 some weeks ago yet we are still waiting to see any official Samsung accessories like the numerous covers we have been promised? I think Samsung has feelings or grandeur and is due a fall. Did you know all Note 3 are region locked and Samsung is about to do this with the S4 etc?
No idea why a brand would deliberately alienate its customer base like this.
I am still unable to ascertain from Samsung what the crystal is actually made from.
Kind regards.

I don't even think the watch face is crystal at all. It feels like some degree of plastic in all honesty. You would expect crystal to feel hard and cold which this doesn't. I have Omega and other Swiss watches and their faces feel a lot better. I wouldn't get your hopes up that the face is made up of quality components. Its price is just too low for that.

Indeed so. Your Omega will 99% certain be sapphire though a very few have another type of watch crystal. The term 'crystal' is watch trade jargon for the glass. Though I am NOT in the watch trade my family has been for over 100 years. I also collect watches.
One kind poster here replied that the booklet he received inside his Gear box actually had written " glass-acrylic" That threw me for a complete loop as its either one or the other. I have asked my family and to their knowledge there is not a hybrid glass acrylic watch crystal?
The point that rather puzzles and disappoints me is when I asked Samsung in writing what the crystal was made of they replied that I had asked an "inappropriate question"? What on earth does that mean and why all the secrecy?
Another poster has said the crystal is made from Corning Gorilla glass 111, I requested his source for this information but to date no reply?
WE should be informed so we can take the level of care needed depending on the materials used. My other grave concern is the very low Ingress protection. This is first and foremost a wrist watch and needs to function to a certain degree of robustness and water protection OR the b++++y gear is as useful as boobies to a Nun!
Such potential yet so much of it seems incomplete?
Kind regards.

My Casio protrek and Suunto watch crystals are way more robust than these. And I have actually had zillions of mishaps with the protrek. Not a single scratch yet, nor in the Crystal nor the titanium band.

REVIEW: Realook 3D Form Screen Protector

What we dry screen protector users have been waiting for!!!!!!
All the Dry screen protectors until now have been cutting it short around the edges due to the
curved screen of the glass. NOT ANYMORE!!! LOL!
The Realooks 3D curve SP gets pretty darn close to the edges. Not so much that you can't use a case
The only cut outs are for the home button and speaker up top.
Take a look at the pictures below!!!!
I'm pretty damn satisfied with the product. T
I've been using the phone with the S-pen and haven't noticed much scratching at all.
Since the GN2 utilizes the s-pen, I don't like to use wet screen protectors as they leave marks.
The screen protector is optically clear and I didn't notice any rainbow effect.
Finger prints yes, but any clear SP will leave fingerprints. But easily wiped off.
The SP is up for pre-order and should be shipping out by this weekend.
I searched amazon and looks like pre-orders are going on now.

For one thing it says : PLEASE NOTE: This is a PET material Crystal Clear screen protector that is designed to protect flat part of Galaxy Note 2 / II screen - smaller than entire screen.
So it doesn't cover your ENTIRE screen. Only a portion of it (the flat part).
While the 3D one in the OP states that it molds to the screen (+/-)

So this review is the exact same review on the Amazon site. You are the vendor, no? It sure looks that way by the review name used on Amazon. I don't mind a vendor hawking their wares on XDA, but I DO mind not saying as much in the post (making it look as though you are a regular user that is excited about the product or another satisfied user).
If I am wrong about you being affiliated with the company, please say so.
Looks nice. What is the hardness scale? Any proximity sensor issues since it covers them?

no i am not a vendor.
I am in no way making money off of this.
I do reviews and like any other reviewer and we get to a point that allows us to receive items beforehand.
I'm a total OCD gadget freak and if i get a product that I love, then i have no problem sharing with friends on XDA.
If i get a product that I don't like, then i'll share my feelings.
I've been really happy with this company. That is all. If i was the vendor, i would follow the rules on XDA regarding that.
I've been a member of xda with almost 500 posts since i got my galaxy nexus back when it first dropped internationally.
Anyways, I do understand your concern :good: . But back to the topic at hand!
i am also an AVID amazon shopper and i like to help people on Amazon as well... I got lazy and just copy and pasted..
I'm actually thinking of jumping in the pool with the other 90,384,579,034,857 of reviewers on youtube and creating my own channel.
But again, I'm not in anyway affiliated with the vendor nor do i make any money on these types of things.
as far as proximity sensors being affected, i have not noticed any proximity sensor issues.
when i go outside, screen brightens up. when i make a call and bring it up to my head, screen goes dark.
as far as hardness scale, i have no way of testing that. lol

I guess this quote from the Amazon page may answer your question - The surface strength 3H coating will prevent everyday scratches to the LCD screen. I presume that refers to the hardness.

I appreciate the response, however I do note that you clearly have reviewed a number of this company's products on Amazon, and you are now offering this review of a product that hasn't even been released yet. So your relationship is one that allows you to get special perks, such as free stuff to review. I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but you have incentive to give a positive review through this relationship, and therefore, it is biased.
I prefer unbiased reviews myself.

I'll give this one a shot when it comes out. I wasn't a glass protector, but been reading sometimes the adhesive makes them impossible to remove without lifting the screen. I love the feel of my SGP, but hate how small it is compared to the screen

1) The manual says yes but in reality I have not been able to? YET?
2) the crystal used is made from sapphire glass so cannot only be scratched by either another sapphire or a diamond.
3) I think only YOU can answer that, it de[pends on what you want from a smart watch. The Gear is far more advanced but more expensive.
4) Yes, but why would you want to? This sort of negates the purpose doesn't it?
You are welcome. Let us know what you purchase and why.

1. Yes the phone has to have a data connection to connect to the S-Voice server. If you always have wifi available that will work as well.
2. None so far, but I expect it will happen.
3. I love my Gear, no experience with the others.
4. Yes, you can mute it, set it to vibrate, or adjust the volume to set it at whatever you like.

The Galaxy Gear does not have a sapphire crystal face. Early reports stated it did as well as that it was waterproof, both were proven wrong. Check the manual, it states the screen is glass/acrylic and warns about damage from dropping etc.

Hi,
Thank you for this post. The point regarding sapphire glass is driving me crazy. My initial posts here on this subject regarding the use of sapphire glass where to write that I could not see how Samsung could afford to use a sapphire glass at this price range. I was bombarded with post after post saying I was wrong and the crystal used IS sapphire glass.
I detest writing about things I know zero about and I, to date, still cannot find a single line from Samsung that states what that crystal is made from. I have read several reviews that quote the crystal as being made from sapphire but I repeat, nothing, nada, from an official Samsung source.
I don't doubt you for a second. To help me with this can you reference where you got this information from? You mention the manual. I have downloaded and printed the full official manual from Samsung Europe and cannot find a single mention of the crystal? I may have missed it and if that is the case may I ask you the favour of informing me the page number.
I have never believed the Gear had a sapphire crystal yet so many posts here and on other forum plus reviews say it has. Would be simply great if we could clear this matter up so I don't perpetuate misinformation.
Many thanks.
Me too heard it's sapphire glass

No problem, It's in the manual titled "Health & Safety and Warranty Guide" that comes packaged with the Galaxy Gear. Page 16 the heading at the top of the page reads "Display/Touchscreen" and quoted from that page, "WARNING REGARDING DISPLAY The display on your device is made of glass or acrylic and could break if your mobile device is dropped or if it receives a significant impact."

Several of the pre-release blurbs I read stated it was a sapphire crystal and that it was waterproof. I haven't read any official reviews after it was released that continued to state either. I think most of the misinformation can be traced back to the pre-release write-ups from folks that had little first hand experience with the device.

Thank you for the kind and informative reply. I guess different countries have different literature with the watch. I don't have the guide you mentioned?
I would guess this must also be available on line though so will go search for it :good:
Its still odd though as you quote the guide as saying "Made from glass or acrylic".....This makes things even more of a puzzle and raises more questions that it answers. Glass and acrylic are not one and the same. Sapphire is a glass. This still leaves the door open for the crystal, the watch glass, to be made from anything from a plastic to sapphire glass? Its intriguing.
How do you interpret this "Made from glass or acrylic"? They are as different as chalk and cheese . I have doubted from day one that the crystal is sapphire. Its just to expensive and given the size shape and chamfer of the crystal would have made it even more expensive .
I guess we will know soon as if it is glass it will scratch.
Any fellow poster willing to do one of those hideous drop tests to find out? I hope not but.............
Kind regards.

Galaxy Gear real life experience

hello everybody,
I just purchased a GG yesterday, after reading a lot of your posts and thank you all for it. What convinced me was the new update that brings full notifications and better battery life. So far, I like it a lot, but of course 1 day is not enough.
There are 2 things I would like to ask other owners, who might have had it for longer time.
I read the post about the IP55 rating, but I would like to know if somebody really dropped it in water (most likely unintentionally), drop some water/liquid on it, got heavy rain, ecc. In other words, something more than washing hands or sweat.
Second point regards scratches. There are a lot of posts about this all over Internet, but very controversial. I would like to know if any of you had any scracth on the glass, the case or the buckle. If any of you experinced any serious bump, drops and so forth. I read somewhere that the GG has sapphire glass, but I seriously doubt it, as usually these glasses are very expensive and are used mostly on more expensive watches.
Thining logically, Samsung should have considered these issues, as after all, it is a watch and you want to wear it, so some kind of protection shluld be there. But I learnt that logic does not always work.
Any advice/experience you would like to share will be much appreciated!!!
Thank you very much,
Roger
I am using GEAR since end of OCT.
- water resistance - rain, drops of water is OK for the watch - if You search the forum you will even find the movie with the gear under kitchen tap water flowing on it. It is NOT ok for shower, swimming, diving etc. Generally - keep it away from water when possible. GEAR build quality is OK
If You wonder how SONY watch behaves - check their forum - a lot of complains and quality issues in general like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2574988
- scratch resistance - Gear glass is NOT scratch resistant! it scratches very easy so keep it away from any hard objects, sand, metal, etc. Generally speaking- with the product life of maximum 1 year ( yes, we may expect GEAR II not later than September 2014) scratch resistance is not so important, and Samsung for sure will not use sapphire for the glass - it is too expensive.
I've had mine since day one and no problem with it whatsoever. I don't take it off when I wash my hands just careful not getting it wet.
Battery life is pretty strong as you go about two days. Don't have any scratches on it so far but I'm pretty careful when I'm around walls/tables/desks.

I have washed my hands with mine on and have gotten water on it (even into the speaker area) no problems so far. Regarding scratched, I put on a skinomi shield (invisible shield type). Looks awesome! Super clear and can barely see it's on. I got the full body which has a cover for under the watch (not too sure why you would need it but I put on since it came with it). I should let you know that with the full body cover, the charger takes some work to get it to close but it's definitely close-able. Have fun with you new gear. I know I am.
Picked up a galaxy gear with carbon fiber skin protector from skinomi and it came with a screen protector too. Bought extra screen protectors off Amazon just in case. Everything running great and not worries about scratches anymore. Still very cautious around water though.

Had mine for awhile as well. I don't worry about washing my hands or rain. Just wouldn't submerge it to be on the safer side. Scratches... The speaker clasp is pretty scratched up but I'm not too concerned about it. As for the face, I have hit/bumped/scraped on things such as desk, doors, walls, etc. So far it has held up well with no noticeable scratches. However I always worry every time I do bump it.

I know this is a slightly callous thing to say, but suddenly watches have fallen into the bi-yearly replaceable category.
No longer are they finely hand crafted devices that merely tell you just the time (and sometimes the date), they are an extension of your phone. Generally my analogue time pieces would last me anywhere between 5-15 years. This is technology though and we all know it can become out of date very quickly. It's sad and I dislike this fact, but I know that in a year or two I will want to upgrade to keep up with the Jones'. Not just that, I guarantee the Note 6 won't support the original Gear.
We're stuck in the cycle now!
My gear has me essentially committed to samsung now. I usually switch out phones alot but no more. No nexus 5 for me I guess. I wish I didn't have to use some weird workaround to get it to work with another phone

Were you able to get the Skinomi clasp cover to stay on? Mine was very difficult to get on to begin with and I could never get the corners to adhere properly. Within a couple days, the corners were full of dirt. Skinomi sent me a new one, but same problem. Is there a trick to get the corners to stay down, or is the clasp cover just useless?
I am sure you ll enjoy your gg . I just bought one purely to be used when I am out on my motorbike as it will be alot easier to see who calls etc without reaching to my phone with gloves and stuff.

Learn some basic electronics work and you'll be able to keep stuff running for much longer. That won't help with stuff that just get outdated to the point where they're no longer useful, but I don't see all that much application for more processing power in a watch. In a few years, just open it up and swap the battery with one purchased for a few dollars on a site like HobbyKing.

I don't need to know much about electronics to know that paying for Battery no matter how cheap, at HobbyKing or at the street corner against someone no longer useful is both immoral and illegal.

By the same logic, once the battery goes dead in your car, it's time to buy a new car because replacing the battery is "immoral and illegal". There's nothing wrong with trying to fix something you own.
This is truly an informative thread, thanks for all the detailed replies.

Maybe there is a language barrier issue, but Klau1, if it is your watch then of course you can replace the battery in it with a new one. This is not immoral or illegal in any way.

Beware Note4's Screen protection

Hi all,
For those of you cares about scratches on your screen; you'd better put on a screen protector.
Upon noticing a tiny little one centimetre scratch on my phone I am outraged to find that it is no where to be found in the listed Official $am$ung Specifications for this phone, the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 announced on 20/Nov/2014, as a feature.
As a matter of fact that such protection mechanism is of right now industry wide standard practice. And as to why I find a tiny little scratch on my phone is evidence that $am$ung did not employ a proper screen protection on this massively expensive cellphone MADE CHEAPLY.
As a result those of you who might not be aware should check to see if your cellphone's screen contains little to many scratches. At least with my cellphone I find that the screen protection was inadequate due to this scratch. To bring all of you reading this to the attention of my phone being "Made in Vietnam"; could it be a reason why $am$ung did not include and mention Corning Gorilla Glass 4 in its specifications website. Such a product is a shame for $am$ung to announce the release to its consumers. The fact is now clear that $am$ung's Note4 is a overpriced product with incompetent design and after sales services, ie, firmware update delay and rumours in the media. Evidently, as seen on this forum there were clones and fakes of this cellphone which degrades the name and value of it to the lowest in comparison to other major companies and brands of smartphones and tablets.
Further more to this outrage upon less then three months (since 17/Oct/2014) of the release of Note 4, it has already made news the new Note 5 is coming soon.
This is almost like that $am$ung has admitted that this Note 4 is an utter failure and would kindly likely to stop production and support of any of its variants in favour of a New Market segment to the new Note 5. This is all nothing but to drain the global economy on a massive scale of smartphone markets and buyers. As a propaganda of the product from this company, it could have ruined its long built reputations.
Who would want a expensive smartphone without sufficient screen protection ? And now with such discovery, this leads to the conclusion that Note4 is nothing more than a piece of expensive rip-off cheaply built low quality product with a screen that is easily scratched.
Gorilla glass 4 is not a sapphire or diamond and it is scratched by sand for example. You can't blame Samsung for content of your pockets. If I could afford to have a few loose diamonds in my pockets, I wouldn't worry about little scratch.

........What the heck did I just read?
Let's break things down, shall we?
- NO phone screen is scratch-proof! NONE! Any form of Gorilla Glass is scratch-resistant, but it's just that - resistant! That means scratches can still happen. I also can pretty much guarantee that any other phone you may have had without a screen protector would have small, micro-scratches. Deny it all you want, but as I stated originally, no phone display is scratch-proof.
- Regarding lack of firmware updates, obviously you've never owned a Samsung device (or most other non-Nexus device). Has HTC released Lollipop everywhere for the HTC One (M8)? No. LG G3? Only rolling out in select markets. Heck, even Moto hasn't updated all their Moto X (2014) devices yet, and those are about as close to stock Android as you can get! Part of the blame is on the manufacturer, part on the carriers. So if you think Samsung is alone here, think again!
- Regarding a "cheaply-made" device, it's built better than previous Samsung devices! Sure, an iPhone may seem better built, but it has its own share of problems ("bendgate" anyone?)
- With regards to talk of a Note 5, guess what? A new Note appears every year around October! Just like a new Nexus, a new iPhone, a new HTC One, etc. Any rumor now is incredibly early, and thus is almost pointless to speculate on.
In short, sounds like someone just wanting to rant and be a troll because they didn't bother protecting their expensive phone like they should have. You won't get much sympathy here, as there's really nobody else to blame but yourself. Not Samsung, you.
Corning have said themselves it uses Gorilla Glass 4.Its listed on their website .
http://www.corninggorillaglass.com/en/products-with-gorilla/samsung/samsung-galaxy-note-4
As another poster said, Gorilla Glass isn't 100% scratch resistant, it gives protection but you can still get scratches on the screen.
Anyway, there's no way Corning would list the product as having GG4 if it didn't, that would be commercial suicide.
Also, why would it being made in Vietnam mean it would be of lesser quality?!
All credibility was lost when you decided to type '$am$ung'.
If you're going to complain, at least be adult about it.

The fact is that the device should be scratch proof as with many other devices I own previously. Like Asus TF700T, Samsung Galaxy S3, S4, and S5, iPad 3, 4, Air and Air 2. I don't have any problems with screen protection on these devices.
Despite any slow updates, I do not object that such important updates require multiple processes, however, when it comes to priority on servicing its customers none of its models updates should be in a serial manner but as a parallel. That's to say this process should be consistent not intermittent.

I am not satisfied with the screen protection compared with older products which I own previously and had no screen protections problems.
The fact is that generally if it is made with quality then I should not have seen a scratch on the screen.
And if it is made in Vietnam I am only speculating as to why they have chosen this route and produces a screen which is capable of being scratched easily.

Oh yeah and don't tell me that you can not complain because Samsung did not officially list the type of screen protection on their specifications web page.
And if you do scratch your phone unconsciously, should you mind that Samsung did not want to provide a proper screen protection nor do they want to tell you exactly what is the form of screen protection they have implemented on Note 4. But, instead leave you to wonder what screen protection is on the phone and let's wander into third party websites which lists the device as with Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
The fact is that Samsung did not formally acknowledge that this device has Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
Mind you, if you do get a scratch on your screen, how would you feel about your new device being scratched and becoming ugly and do not look like new.
We're not your enemies here - take a breath. Clearly you're upset and feel wronged or deceived in some way.
Vote with your wallet and buy an alternate brand next time.
For what it's worth, I'm pleasantly surprised at how well-built my Note 4 is. It doesn't have a single scratch or scuff on the screen of any kind. I keep it in my pockets and leave it on surfaces without a thought. It's also survived three heavy hits onto solid tiled floors from about one metre without so much as a ding on the band or anywhere else. I don't have any case or screen protector either.
By contrast, my old 5s hit the same tiled floor from a lesser height and had two significant dents in the alu band and looked like the screen was about to submit at any moment.
This is not meant as a boast but rather to say my experience is different to yours.

How is it Samsungs fault that you, by not fitting a screen protector, have scratched your phone?
I don't use screen protectors. If the screen gets scratched, it's my fault. Take some responsibility and stop blaming others.

As everybody said, nothing is scratch resistant...just use a screen protector and that's it.
BTW i had mine for 2 months and no scratch or whatsoever
... And the important takeaway here is that no company has a scratch-proof screen. Just because you never noticed a scratch on a previous device does not mean it was scratch-proof. No company has ever made such a claim either, because they know they'd be sued pretty darn quick for false advertising.

Totally defeats the purpose of Corning Gorilla Glass by using a screen protector.

screen protector in a bottle

I just did a video review of liquid screen protectors.
No you didn't. A review would have actually used the product and presented some sort of conclusion on it's value or utility.
I'm not a physicist, but I have my doubts that this kind of product can provide any impact protection. Possibly it can help protect the glass from scratches as a sacrificial layer, but in order to provide long-term benefits there needs to be a way to remove and reapply the coating when scratches or scuffs occur, and I see nothing to explain how this can be done.

My thoughts exactly. This stuff actually function like a ceramic coating that's used in vehicle paint (I'm a pro detailer). That's exactly what we call those coatings, "a sacrificial layer." Vehicle speaking, a rock could hit the paint coating and not damage the paint but the impact could still leave a dent or slight impression in the metal. This screen coating will probably be good to protect against minor scratching but the right impact could still break the screen.
It's tough it here. We spend all these hard earned dollars (it whatever for various countries) for the devices and expect superior protecting for them. I just don't think it exists yet.
Here's to being careful. Cheers!

But I witnessed 1000s of people having this type of liquid on their phones at $30 a go.. My objective was at least to let potential customers do more research.. And as I mentioned on other forums the claims are a complete mixed bag some say they have fine scratches some don't even on amazon ... I just don't know... Yup I hear ya, I rather go with a cheap plain ol PET screen protector anyday over gimmics like this one posted. What a joke. Actually that's what I'm using on my Note 8, no fancy glass screen protector due to the curved screen & case compatibility.
