Bezel Protection - G2 Accessories

Hi, does anyone know which case offers the greatest lip around the bezel for screen drop protection?
Thanks

I am getting this one it looks like it covers it without to much bulk

Skins that cover the sides of the phone?

I love and want to use something like Zagg or Best Skins Ever, but I haven't been able to find anything that also covers the sides of the phone. I'd like scratch protection on the sides too! Anyone have any suggestions or know of anything?
Just got an Xgear skin. The black leather is very slick, almost no grip. Thankfully, it's matte and doesn't pick up grease or fingerprints (my only goals). I guess it protects the sides. It covers the sides completely.
Don't get a Slickwrap. The renders show side coverage, but I got one and the sides are completely uncovered.
I have a quicksand case and don't have to use it anymore. I don't need any protection. I just hate the hyperglaze plastic.

Thanks for the suggestion! One question, how has it held up so far with the corners staying down? Also, does it have any screen protection to it?
Corners don't go down unless you use a blowdryer. After that, everything is "skin-tight." Had it on for a few days more and I'm not at all concerned about the edges coming loose and catching something. Just make sure you use a blowdryer (hair dryer) focused on the corners, then work your way around the edges, pressing the rein down and holding it down after you get it hot.
At $15 it didn't come with a screen protector. You could just get a screen protector for a buck or two. I don't use screen protectors, never have. Since the original Gorilla Glass came out, screen protectors seem unnecessary. If you're really afraid of scratching your screen, go ahead. You're more likely to drop and break it, and a screen protector isn't going to help you there.
The Xgear skin comes with panels for the front, covering the top and bottom bezel. The sensors and camera are not obscured.
Check YouTube for a better idea of the fit.
I also use gear. I have the carbon fiber one. Like hung0702 said, use a bellwether. I've never had the edges peel up but I use an aluminum bumper now. It offers protection and keeps the phone slim.

[Q] Best minimal cases that protect screen?

Looking for a case that offers a good amount of screen protection so that the glass doesn't crack if I drop it. Anyone have any recommendations?
Sent from my XT1095 using Tapatalk
At minimum you'll want a tpu cover like a cruzerlite. It curves around the front over the curved glass edge where it's most likely to crack in a drop. Tudia and diztronic have well-reviewed covers as well.
I just bought a Hula case off amazon and I'm loving it. I have a wood back so I wanted a case that doesn't cover it since I love how it feels and looks.
I also just ordered the Hula off of Amazon. From what I can see it seems to have a good lip on the front and back, and also allows you to see the full back. I'm currently using the Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro, and while it is a good case with much more protection, It's just too much bulk for an every day case. In my opinion, I didn't customize my phone just to cover it up with a plain case! I was looking into some of the clear tpu cases but most either cover the dimple or are missing a mic cut out on the back...
I have the Hula bumper case and somehow managed to drop my phone this morning while getting out of the car, and the screen shattered. I wouldn't count on it offering much protection for your screen...
I've seen phones in otter cases where the screen shattered upon dropping. I don't think there is any case out there that will protect against certain drops. If the phone drops and lands a certain way, it will shatter almost every time.

ADOPTED Protective Case for Nexus 5X Reviews?

I have the black 5x and I am curious to hear peoples thoughts on ADOPTED Protective Case for Nexus 5X? Has anyone ordered the Clear case for the black phone? Does the case feel like it has good grip or is it slippery? Any thoughts or pics would be appreciated!
Thanks
mbanken
I have it. Black phone and black case. It's very rubberlike. Good grip, moreso on the sides, the back is smoother but not slippery. It's very thin but somewhat heavy. I like it.
I have the clear case on an Ice phone. It is very nice, grippy but smooth and doesn't add too much bulk.
I have the black case and I love how it feels. And not much bulk either.
Is the clear case completely clear all around?
I just wish it said Nexus across the back instead of Adopted.
Anyone got the Adopted folio/flip case? I'm about to order a 5X but am stalling while I decide on a case.
For me the case has to cover the screen, so the adopted folio seems like an ideal option, but my concern is if it folds round enough to go in a phone holder in the car. My phone holder in the car has quite an enthusiastic grip and I don't want to squash or bend the screen cover portion. Anyone got any idea?
I'm used to pull tab pouches, but I like the idea of the convenience of the folio case.
Thanks,
Patrick

Yes.
I bought the frost one and absolutely hated it. Way too thick and made the phone look nasty. Arranged a return with Google. I have yet to find my ideal case - it should be very thin and not detract from the look of the phone at the very least.

Would you be able to add photos of it? I'm curious what it will look like.
I've ordered it for the carbon phone... I'm afraid it's going to look weird.

I also ordered the frosted adopted for my carbon 5X, I don't like how it looks. Case feels great but it is a little too bulky for my liking, it is fairly thick and this makes the phone even taller than it already is. Plus the frost color brings more attention to the high of the phone.
Went with the Ringke slim and very happy, not a lot of cushioning but much better feeling in my hand.

Check out my review of the Ringke Fusion Case. I'm pretty much the same way when it comes to phone cases. So far I'm pretty happy with mine, with few, very minor gripes.
I and someone else posted more pictures of the Adopted cases here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/help/adopted-protective-case-t3242186
I have this case and like it pretty well except for one thing: the part that wraps around to the front is too wide. I find it difficult to swipe from the edges successfully without pushing it out slightly with my thumb. Very annoying. I've currently got two other cases on their way and hopefully I'll like one of them better. I've never had this issue with any other case on any other phone, and when I look at the design of my old cases, I see that they all have a beveled edge on the front and they keep it as thin as possible, unlike the Adopted case.
Totally like mine. Grippy. Got mine for $10 for ordering 5X early. Not sure if I'd pay full price ($20) though.
Got my frost case for my carbon 5X this morning, I was hoping it'd be more see through than it is but its still not bad fits ok (a bit low on the fingerprint hole). Will keep it but wish id ordered the material backed black instead.
The Adopted TPU case is by far the best TPU case I've ever had. I'm formerly a big supporter of anything from Diztronic but they were out of stock when I needed a case (I think there was a quality problem and they got pulled from Amazon). Despite the obnoxious pricetag I bought the plain black Adopted TPU case from the google store. The Diztronic cases always provided great protection against the casual drop without a lot of added bulk. The Adopted case gives me all that along with an uncanny resistance to oil build-up. I wouldn't call myself an oily person (I have kids so I wash my hand a lot) but I always seemed to be cleaning fingerprints off the matte finish of the Diztronic case (typically w/ alcohol). The Adopted on the other hand must use a slightly different formulation of PU to give it its resistance to oil-build up. It's softer than the diztronic, but not soft in a way that I think it would compromise its protective qualities. It's smooth on the back with a texturized perimeter to enhance its grippiness where it needs it most. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Do you find it difficult to swipe from the edges because of the wide front edge? I do!

UPDATE: I just received my two new cases.
1. Nexus 5X Case, Diztronic Full Matte Slim-Fit Flexible TPU Case (Revision 2)
The Diztronic has the same exact problem as the Adopted with it's wide edges. I can't swipe from the edges consistantly.
And 2: Nexus 5X Case, Ringke SLIM **Essential Ultra Thin**[FREE Screen Protector][SF Black] Perfect Fit & Ultra Slim Scratch-Resistant Protective Hard Case
The Ringke has very small edges and does not inhibit swiping at all, but it's rigid plastic and leaves me wondering if it really offers any protection.
Any thoughts on that anyone?

My wife had a Ringke on her S6. It's super thin but she dropped it and the screen shattered. No telling if a TPU case would have fared better but I always thought those hard shell cases were better for scratch protection than impact.

any clear back case with the back curved in same shape as S7 edge ?

all the cases look like they have a flat back
iwant a case that keep the curve on the back

I am using the Spigen Neo Hybrid Crystal - I don't think it does curve per se, but it really does feel good in the hand and it is so thin - it is almost like not having a case at all. The case itself is soft plastic so it is mallable - and in a way it does sort of conform to the shape of the S7Edge, but I don't want to overstate it - with the metal frame around it, the frame itself will keep the soft plastic from curving in until your hand puts pressure on the case, if you know what I mean. The firmness of The steel (or aluminium) frame around the case will cause the back to be flat - but because the case is soft, when you hold it it will sort of conform with the shape of the phone. I love it - excellent case- I have always prefered Spigen Cases over the others. Really nice look and feel.
The other thing I like about it - is it makes it easier to hold the S7Edge and type or do stuff and not have the holding hand interfer by accidentally touching the edge.

does it protect the curved screen enough hows the lip ?
usually buy clear ultra hybrid or ringke fusion both give good protection and clarity for the back
i might also consider UAG they have great cases
Funnily enough, this is what I'm after too. I want a case that has a curve on the back similar to the rear of the phone itself.

I got a little bit different one than this from Spigen and it fits great, adds some grip, does not leave finger prints and is very slim. I can't really feel the curve, but it does feel great in hand. There is a slight lip at the top and the bottom of the case, so if you lay it on a flat surface the screen does not hit the surface. The side edges are exposed and it does not interfere with the use of the edge functions. I do think if the phone fell just right on the edge sides it could hit the ground where there is no protection. Hopefully they will make a tempered glass screen protector soon that will take care of this.

I don't believe it offers much protection for the screen - drop the phone screen down and it is likely to break - (depending on how high you drop it and how it lands of course) I think it does offer some decent protection for the phone - the back and the edges - I wish there was a good option for glass screen protectors but I don't think they have perfected that yet for EDGE..for now I am waiting on a pet type screen protector from Skinomi (I think that is how you spell their name).....

the one you bought looks identical to the one I bought - may be slightly different - I just realized that my case also has a "lip" at the top and bottom of the phone that keeps the screen from touching when placed on it's face. The only difference between yours and mine that I can see is the aluminum is gun metal grey on mine - looks great on the phone....
I got this but not got phone yet so can't comment.
Sorry this

I have 15 cases for this phone right now.
The one I have that fits your description is the Spigen Liquid Crystal.
It is clear and has the same rounded back sides as the phone.

otterbox has a crystal case as well I have the item reviewed but here is the link to the product http://goo.gl/vO0KLw

the problem with the liquid is that it doesn't provide enough protection for the screen
so i ordered the CLEAR ULTRA HYBRID in the end
now i gotta find some good screen protector..
Bah, I've used the crystal on 3 different phones and they have survived drops and usage just fine.
But I'm not one to buy a nice phone and wrap it up like an ugly mummy either.

Both are nice cases, you will be happy with either.
I'll probably get the Samsung clear case. I like to keep the phone thin and not hide it in a case. I know it's a risk as far as protection but I'm very careful with my phone. *knocks on wood* I will get something to put protect my phone when I put it in my golf bag though. lol

Nillkin Frosted Shield Case

Any users of this case in this forum? Would you recommend it? Is there a lip above the screen and around the camera for protection?
I use this case with my old Mi5 and have no complaints, fits perfectly, the material is sturdy and feel good in the hands and after 2 years of use it looks like new.
I am considering buying one for my Poco but I think MOFI's case with fabric cover looks better.
Weak Protection.
Thanks for the feedback! Though, no one seems to have answered my question regarding the lip.
If u are talking about this case (https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32919923124.html) then I have used it for 6 months its well built but exposes the top and bottom of the phone, I usually handle my phone pretty well and dont drop it but once I dropped it from approx 3-4ft on marble floor nothing happened to the case or the phone. Talking about the lip there is none, while resting the phone on the table the screen touches the table and there is no gap so my advice is to use a tempered glass along with this case.
I just bought the black one and I'm pretty satisfied. Quality is what you'd expect from Nillkin, top notch. Protection is weak though, and I'm worried if I drop the phone with this case on compared to if I was using the Spigen Rugged Armor. Nevertheless, it is really slim. The Spigen one was so damn bulky and heavy it was painful to use for extended periods of time. There is a bump around the camera module, though no lip in front of the display. Still, can recommend this one to anyone looking for a minimalist and slim case.
