Screen Protector for G2 at kiosks yet? - G2 Accessories

Do screen protectors for our phone exist in kiosk yet or do cellular stores apply them for you? I just want one that's barely noticeable and I suck at putting them on. All help appreciated!

Need to get a screen protector put on today. Which retailer have you found has the best?

Alright found a cheap way! It has been past 30 days so I can't add insurance. On amazon, ebay, and other sites, they sale Droid 3 digitizers which is basically a replacement of the top part of the phone (the screen and piece around it, has to all be replaced). The digitizer costs anywhere from $50-$70. That is not bad at all considering your doing it almost the same price as an insurance claim
Just thought I would let anyone know in case they were as lucky as me to break it already, or may have another phone w/a cracked screen, just search digitizers

How did the replacement go? I knocked my daughters phone out of the car and broke the screen and I feel awful so I'm going to give it a try.
I ended up just selling the phone as is and got a bionic. But honestly doing it yourself can be dangerous. Break one ribbon and the phone is useless. However Motorola did say they would replace for $110+ shipping as a standard price.

I actually cracked an incredible screen that same way. It just takes one lucky fall. They normally never scratch but yes will crack. No they don't suck because they are shatter proof so even if you crack your screen you aren't out a phone permanently. I recommend a screen protector cause if it does crack with One on it normally doesn't crack the main part of the screen.

Has anyone actually put this on the N10? Just wondering what's the best way to wet the screen protector enough for it to work.

Spray it thoroughly and the screen a good bit. Making sure to cover the ports as you spray.
Thank you sir - just ordered one for my N10 and Note2! $6 bucks!
Has anyone gotten theirs yet?

I ordered mine on the 11th, should be here today (22nd). I opted for the free first-class envelope mailing.
I have one on my N7 and GF's Note 2. Pretty good for the price. Just got my 10 today going to order one

Got mine yesterday, order to the uk so the shipping was pretty fast. the screen protector is great doesn't reduce quality at all after its done setting and almost invisible, from what i seen when i was applying it its pretty strong
I'm not too crazy about it. I put it on, gave it ample time to cure. The screen protector has a very tacky feel to it, slightly more than ZAGG's Invisishields do (not saying ZAGG is better by any means). I normally don't notice it on a smaller screen, but the effect seems amplified on a tablet somehow. I may just opt for a screen protector from SGP.
I left the back protector on, though I wish they'd left cutouts for the embossed logos. With how much you have to keep the film wet, it's easy to get moisture trapped in the recess, which becomes very difficult to get out.
For less than $10, it really isn't bad, though.

[Q] Ran it over

Ran over my thrill in my driveway after I didn't notice it fall out of my pocket. Anyways, the glass is shattered and I can't see anything but random colors where it isn't cracked. My question is, do I need an LCD and a digitizer? Also, where do you guys recommend I buy these parts? I have a Galaxy S2 SkyRocket now but I would like to fix this phone and have it as a backup. Thanks!
Any time I've fixed an old phone I've used eBay to get the parts. Usually you can find what you need at a reasonable price.

Anyone tried Ghost Armor?

Either the full body matte or carbon finish? I'd like to see how it looks if anyone's got pics and if they're satisfied with it.

One thing ppl say that they don't like about GA is that the side coverings leave a lot of gaps and they don't look good, but seeing as our phone really has no sides, I'm wondering if they even have those pieces in the full body set, if its just a front and back piece that basically connects at the sides
Sent from my LG-D800 using Tapatalk
I have the clear on on my RAZR Maxx. The sides have to be replaced every 3 months. The screen protector has to be replaced ever 4-6 months.

I had ghost armor on my Samsung Galaxy s3 and I only had to replace it once due to me getting a replacement s3. It stayed in great shape but mostly because I used the armor with a urban armor gear case on top of it. Screen protection is really good on it and you can't even tell it's on there

I second this.
I don't the the full body portion is all that great, in terms of durability, but the screen protector is really good. My first choice in screen protection.
I put it on my old Galaxy Nexus and peeled it off after a week. Can't stand the "orange peel" feeling to it.
I also have it on my s3, its a little dingy looking now but it does work really well

I use to work there (don't anymore, so no bias) but while their skins are a bit expensive, they're very high quality and the life time warranty makes it worth it where you can go to any ghost armor cart or online and get your old skin replaced.
Sent from my LG-D800 using Tapatalk
I put ghost armor on all my devices. I ask them not to put it so close to the edge that a case pulls it up. On the g2 the guy wasn't sure he could since it pretty much doesn't have a bezel. Turned out great. On my girl friends G pro, it isn't even looks like crap. But her keys or change in pocket are scratching her screen

I had It on my DROID DNA. It, the carbon, was quite slick.
I've converted to exoskin and they're great. They don't make a screen protector though.

G2 quickwindow cases on clearance for 14.99 @ best buy

Went into best buy mobile yesterday at our mall and they had the quickwindow cases down to 14.99, from 49.99. Picked one up, nice and thin and protects the front too. The window apps are nice too. Just a heads up in case you're looking for one.

I remembering reading once that the silver trim of the quickwindow would sit directly on the screen and overtime scratch it. Could you observe if this is true?

I heard that too but my friend has the quickwindow case and put a screen protector on the main screen which solved any scratching problems.

I purchased a used G2 off of criaglist that came with the quickwindow case. Upon first glance, you don't notice it. But after going outside and turning the screen at certain angles, you can definitely see some very fine surface scratching on the screen where the trim meets the glass. No matter how much I cleaned the screen, it didn't go away. So yes, it definitely scratches the screen over time. Now, I put a screen protector on it (which the previous owner didnt), and you can't see the scratches anymore. However, the silver trim started scratching the screen protector too. So now I just use a completely different case.
I can confirm that, bought mine for 3-5€ on ebay (because I wanted the blue one) and after a month I noticed tiny scratches when holding the phone under the sun. I'm not using the case anymore, well I should have, shattered the screen a week ago :silly:, but when I return it from repair
I try to fix the case by sticking something more smooth on the metal rim, but I still don't have any idea what would do the trick without looking too bad.
i don't recommend it. scratched my screen..
