Yes, i dreamt it last night
Seriously when you consider for how much they sold the n4 in india ,my bet would be to get it from US when it gets released though

My Dream came true !!!!!!! Yippe
Available in India for 29 grand 16 gigs !! Here i come back to my nexus world !

Nexus 4 is still sold by LG only not in Google play India. I highly doubt it will be available at the same time, I wish I'm proved wrong.

^^ yeah hope LG will release N5 ASAP here, hope..

Nexus 5's battery, pricing and storage details leaked ahead of launch - See more at: http://gadgets.ndtv.com/mobiles/news/nexus-5s-battery-pricing-and-storage-details-leaked-ahead-of-launch-429356#sthash.59K3UMcx.dpuf

The device looks pretty sweet from the leaks. I wonder if Google will start shipping orders ( in the US of course ) immediately after the announcement. With Google , you never know. In India , approx price will be around 35-40 k INR, am I right ?

I would say around 30k if released on google but if its retail only sky is the limit !
with the details coming in that this nexus will be a beast (Snapdragon 800 - 2 GB Ram) which already beats S4 on paper thanks to the 1080p IPS display i am sure one would expect the retail price to be around 39 ~ 40

Awesome
This looks awesome cant wait

I am only worried about battery.. 2300 Mah is a little.. hope they have done some magic in Kit-kat..

To be honest, I can say battery life is only improving .. after the 4.3 update on my Nexus 7 2012.. I can say that the batter life was much much better as compared to both 4.1.2 and 4.2.2.. I used to get around 4.5-5 hours of screen on time on 4.2.2 and in 4.3 I got around 7-8 hours on an average !! thats almost twice the battery life. Of course on stock. On custom ROMs, it depends on the features of the ROMs as well as the kernels and its wakelocks.. so in short battery life is mostly user variable .. still agree with you on the fact 2300 mAh is a bit less.. But remember the specs aren't confirmed yet . Google is the master of trolls

yeah.. My N4's stand by time improved a lot after 4.3.. Agreed.
Go google surprise us by throwing a 3000 mah..
Also snapdragon 800 is way more efficient than S4pro so N5 will have a good backup + kit kat enhancements.
Can't wait..

I will be able to get the phone from singapore market through a friend.
lets see!! my present phone is still the old galaxy 3 from samsung. I will go the distance to buy this phone!!

Anyone sick of their O2X and moving to the 4S?

Dont get me wrong. The O2X community has grown considerably from the first time I got the phone 6 months ago. There's CM7, MIUI and leaked GB roms around which are all close to 100% functional.
However, I know for a fact the battery life in most if not all Android phones are average at best. That's the case with the O2X too. Even below average I should say. I still have no idea how you guys can have it last more that a day. Even with all the battery-saving tips, the most I can make it last is around 12 hours.
Another problem is LG itself. Official GB is yet to land after all these months. Hopes of an official ICS by LG is all but gone.
My point is, has anyone jumped ships to iOS? Going back to iOS after almost a full year with the Dell Streak and the O2X.
no i would NEVER get a ****ty iphone not even if it was free
Na, never purchased a apple product and never will.
Sent from my LG-P990 using Tapatalk
I got my O2X for the price of a 3GS not a 4S! I'd agree it's hardly the best phone if money is no object, but it's a hell of a lot better than the 3GS for the money.
Sent from my Optimus 2X using XDA App
I got the o2x just to have an android device to play with and it was dirt cheap. I've never had the problems people speak of. Even though it isn't the smoothest I will never buy an apple device simply because their design is against upgrading/modding it yourself.
I plan to never buy an apple product unless their whole philosophy changes.

Never Going for an apple product...Anyway i bought my o2x for custom roms..and we have cm7 and miui...soon we get cm9...so m not that worried really.
I dont know why but when i surf on the net with wifi my phone battery drops very fast. In on topogigi 2.0 with HP rc4 with -50 undervolt on alla clocks and no overclock, BB 823 and matching ril, retroillumination is set to 20%. I unplugged the phone at 7 o'clock, used google nav for 30 minuts, and surfed for 3 hours, and now the battery is 20%. I can't understand why :-(

ohh I see the problem there, you cant find a phone these days with 3g always on and lasting any longer than that... 3g/mobile data is a battery hog, we all know that sadly even if you try other droids, you wont get any higher battery than that

Except LG Update issues and battery I'm really satisfied with 2x It;'s cost-effective. As we always talks negetive which is true let's take a look at positive aspects.
First of all display yep it does has bleeding issue but IPS display is adorable in compare to AMOLED plus.
And sooner or later they'll release kernel sources of GB and that will massively progress development and Soon we can taste ICS from CM
And battery first of all 1500mAH is not sufficient evenif S2 with 1600 has battery probs but you could always buy a battery >2400mAh battery cant be a good reason to change a device.
As per the price we've got more than enough.

sorry to let you know guys, but no dual-core from qualcomm supports dual-sim, only msm7227/ arm v6 & /a arm v7 supports, which are not at par
also i highly doubt if its a broadcomm dual core with power vr530/35 which is on most china phones, but i cant be sure , just adding my opinion
also the 512mb. is not good, seeing its gonna updated to ics & got a dual core may be qualcomm/broadcomm, as games & other stuff will strugle for performance due to lacking ram, same issues can be seen with optimus 2x & xperia play (sony not updating it to ics because games wont works well on ics + 512MB. ram) & you can also check playing mass effect inifilator on ics + on gb. & see the difference, it will crash after some time on bonus levels (the culprit is low ram)
,gonna buy it if it got 1GB. ram
+ no complain for wvga, we can use lower dpi as it got bigger screen,
m' gonna pay upto 17k if it got real s3/s4 qualcomm soc + 1GB. ram
yes, even Spice MI-425 also has msm7227 and adreno 200 so we need to see the specs of this MI-500 very closely.

Yeah 512 RAM is definitely a bummer....but launch is still a month away...maybe final specs are different...
Lets watch...
And 480x800/850 262K colors for a 5" screen(my guess)
I do expect atleast a 16m colors atleast for same resolution.
They could increase the price for a 720p screen and win the market...
For me the bummer are:
- 512 mb ram still (atleast increase by 256 to 768 mb)
- Still 5.0 MP cam
Not sure about the screen res as of now but definitely 840X480 could be OK if the color supported are 16M as its the same case with my Archos Tablet whose screen is quite crisp.

hi
this looks intresting may be ill wait for some time and then upgrade
i did fall in love with the HTC one X but it was t costly for me
but this looks ok for me thanks guys for the info
The Mobile Indian has put up a first look, looks like a Chinese variant being shown off.
The link
From the looks of it, looks like 480x800, 262k (not 16M) or my eyes deceive me

this is just vfm.

hi
one thing for sure they are improving the looks now with the new range
screen in poor maybe 16m colour, but colours are warm similar to mi-410
also no led for camera(@ p5
but @page 1-2 they say it got a led flash
+ (doubt starts here) www.themobileindian.com/news/6935_First-Look-Spice-Stellar-Horizon_3
" Spice has used the same Snapdragon
processor as in the Mi-425, but a slightly
bigger 300 MHz GPU to tackle the extra load
from the larger screen.
Spice Stellar Horizon has a 4 GB internal
memory as well as 512 MB RAM which will also
aide its performance (Internal memory enables
faster performance)."
this site is one of the poorest reviewers
1. they say it got dual core on page 1 but on 3 they say it got same chip as mi 425
2. they say gpu @300 compared to mi 425, to cope with large screen, now how will it help as resolution is same i think wvga for both, 4" 5" dont matters, also as far i know on orig. htc desire adreno 200 was clocked at 92-108mhz. + doing 720p vid. rec. + play at highest, and if its adreno 200 as parkhi say & m conc. for dual sim thing, such higher oc' is not possible for old chip by 200% without liquid nitrogen cooler
+ if its really got a dual core, then it must have hd video rec. atleast 720p or something
3. + they say 4gb. int. mem. with 512mb. ram will help stability, now how int. mem. had to do anything with ram
any the themed rom looks cool with sauve hd icons
they are whole bunch of noobs, the indian mobile guys
spice had already used confusing adv. earliar also they said mi 270 dual core (cpu + gsm radio cpu for dual sim spp) & dedicated gpu @333 but there wasnt any gpu, some said the other radio cpu is gpu, i bought mi-410 becuase i know it was a ideos x6 variant but latter i knew it was foxconn and now we got no official support or anything, so i wont go for spice again>> this ome game is not good,
my next mobile-
sony> htc > huawei> ome > samsung
good bye friends m' getting myself a new phone next month, maybe a evo 3d so i wont be frequent to this forum
good bye guys, thanks for everything
i will still own this phone till it get sold
Nitin even I'm thinking of selling this but why Samsung is last in your list and is Huawei better than Samsung, What is OME?
Thanks
hi
the Bad part is even though Spice has so many showroom at least in Bangalore they do have quite a lot. They dont promote their own Mobiles in their show room
just walk in to any show room and u will have to ask for their own brand to get info on the same very sad in deed. if this was my show room and my Brand the 1st thing i would do is start seriously promoting my Mobiles
at least show it to every customer who walks in .I just dont understand why Spice does not do it

battery life discussion

Hi guys, if you use nexus 4, I think you will be probably disappointed by the battery life of nexus 4. Things seems to changed this year.

It seems pretty good compare with nexus 4, based on the way how Google test the device and the result.
I can't wait to receive my new nexus 5
How you guys think? Are you satisfy with the battery life?
update:
according http://www.android.com/versions/kit-kat-4-4/ said, the nexus 5 maudio playback can up to 60 hrs, witch is really incredible!!!
did you notice by any chance that battery test has been don on airplane/no sim with wifi on?
Any cellural reception has significant impact on battery life therefore it is most likley goi9ng to be the same or worse due to size of the screen vs battery capacity

The same here. the specs even look better than iphone, lol
I think it might have something to do with the optimized OS. The phone can run the OS with a minimum of 512mb of the RAM. I was pretty disappointed with the Nexus 4 battery life but it was better than the Galaxy Nexus for sure.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Anyone know if the Nexus 5 also has G-RAM that's in the LG G2? supposedly helps improve battery life of display by about 20% if it's displaying static pages.
Hey guys, just joining the discussion for the upcoming news about the battery from all of you.
Personally, I am going to wait for a while until the typical problems of a "newborn phone" get solved.... IF THERE IS FOUND ANY, which I hope not. :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
I hope the battery life isn't too bad. I decided to skip getting the LG G2 and instead ordered the N5.
How do you think the battery life compares to the GS4?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Let's hope
Battery life shouldn't be that bad at all i suppose. From years now we are used to charge our phones one per day at least...this won't change for the n5. That said, i think this is a big failure of modern smartphones. Lg is tring to make a change, and it's a point to his favour i think.

Failure of a smartphone? What makes you say that? The software that is debuting with the phone is a huge push forward in mobile communications, that's at least a little win.
The thing that will probably greatly help the N5's battery life is that it's the Snapdragon 800... which has the same "bonus core" that the G2, Moto X, and other devices have that allows very little battery usage while the phone is asleep, while still being able to do stuff like play music.

whoops! My derp there. In that case yea, I'll agree. Google should have but in a bigger battery, but alas I think they're really trying to stick with the philosophy of it being a developer's phone and less of a general consumer's phone.
That said the battery thing is the only thing stopping me from placing my order this very second...

I mean a failure of a generation of phones. Before the advent of smartphones the recharge of a phone came, how much a week? Three times? Even twice on some phones. That said, we had a great progression on software and hardware, with a clear loss in term of duration per single charge.
The advancement in hardware and software were not matched by the advancement in battery tecnology.
Someone said that you can build the best car at all, but you will need good wheels to make it run faster..Or in our case, to make it "run" xD
Got to admit, I'm a little dissapointed they didn't throw a USB 3.0 port on this beast for multi-charge bonuses :/

I think it might have something to do with the optimized OS. The phone can run the OS with a minimum of 512mb of the RAM. I was pretty disappointed with the Nexus 4 battery life but it was better than the Galaxy Nexus for sure.

Amazing Google designed 4.4 to run on devices with as low as 512mb of Ram but they are not updating the Galaxy Nexus to 4.4.

It's not because of the RAM, it's because of the processor. The manufacturer stopped supporting it.

wanted to upgrade to note 5 but it has high sar value

hello .. i have note 4 from last 6 months n its fab fone ... but now i wanted to get note 5 but when i checked its sar value its very high as compared to note 4 ... like i heard the max permitted value is 1.5 and note 5 has 1.53 ....

I don't know what the heck is that. But if it's related to radiation: I've a Note 5 here and it didn't brought me any kind of cancer or mental disorder :fingers-crossed:
You should be concerned about the missing MicroSD card on the 32gb version rather than a radiation value. It might be high as you said, but it's still in the safety range. Remember that chinese knock-offs are way more off of the permitted value. The Note 5 is not harmful by any way.

i agree with that .. coz these things dont affect instantly .. n moreover we keep fones in front pocket :/ so may b more dangerous ....
i never paid attention to this sar value but then a frnd of mine hammered this into my mind that its not gud at all .. n now i always check this for any new fone i think to buy ....
seen in some video that USA has the permitted value of 1.5 n they ban fones above that :/
n yea the sd card is really a big prob i think coz now i got 64gbcard and m satisfied but alone 32 is very less :/ ... thanks for this advice ... should consider some other option for upgrade ..

and I think the Note 5 isn't much worse than its predecessor, when you use it to phone someone.
the higher simultaneous transmission sar value comes from the higher lte cat 9 specification, which allows 450/50 Mbps connections compared to 150/50 Mbps of Note4.
when your phone uses the max lte power you aren't holding it to your ear, or should I say don't hold to your ear then.

If this is a kind of a joke, well better take a screenshot of this conversation, print and put it in a frame, maybe after 20 years you will start regreting why you think expandable storage is more important than SAR rating

I think you guys misunderstood (or I didn't explained it well) my reply. First of all, I wasn't making jokes about cancer, mostly because almost half of my family had it in different ways. Second: I've been using cellphones since 1993. If I have any problem in 20 years, I'm pretty sure that's not because my Note 5 but of all my devices since the first one and those I will have in the future when my present device gets outdated. That being said, probably 90% of the people who's reading this post will have radiation-derived problems due to all the cellphones they had in their lifes and not because their Note 5's SAR values are 5% higher than their predecessor.
That's why I said you should worry about the lack of expandable storage or the poor battery life that the Marshmallow update has. Because worrying about the Note 5 SAR value is a waste of time if you think about all the phones you had in the past and all those you will have in the future.
So right now, this is the only way to survive:
I hope you guys understand. Cheers!

Should do the trick too
SAR is by no means any indication of safety from cancer. Enough to read what is on Wikipedia to uderstand this, if you do not feel like making more research.

Question Should i upgrade to P7

Hi
Thinking about getting P7.
Some unclear topics:
1. Is it runing warm in simple use(yt.fb,browser)?
2. Does it support tap to wake and widget to lock screen?
3.Does it have widgets on screen available for mobile data, hotspot, wifi?
4. Is its camera step up compared to others flagships?
5. Does it have adds like xiaomi has in prei stalled apps. Is there bloatware? How many gb free when just opened& booted up?
6. Any bugs?
No don't, my p6p runs so much smoother and has double the performance due to the GPU, the Mali G710 on the p7 is more towards battery saving, but I don't see a difference in battery, 100% stay with p6 or p6p, the only upgrade you get really is software related

The GPU is only a slight downgrade in the P7, stop being so overdramatic. There's obviously something not okay with your 7.

I upgraded from a Pix3 so it's a lot faster with a lot better battery life for me. I use mine more like a phone, texter and email checker than a gamer or social media user and I use about 40%/24hr day.
1. Not running warm
2. Yes. No.
3. Kinda. It has widgets for settings shortcuts to these areas but not actual toggles/indicators.
4. I think the Google camera on this platform is excellent
5. No ads in preinstalled apps that I've seen but some would consider the Gapps as bloatware compared to AOSP
6. The fingerprint sensor/experience stinks! You should definitely google that before you buy if you're a big finterprint user.

Google is not collecting data from other android devices?

I'm not good with the CCP but both Pixel, Samsung and Gookill Android have been degrading these phones for the last 3 years.
No expandable storage, many only have 128gb internal storage and 6-8gb of ram. One member has a thread up complaining of only 4hrs SOT with their P7.
Between scoped storage, 5G and the variable refresh rate display they tanked the SOT. For what? This Note 10+ with a degraded (and smaller) battery that's do to be replaced gets more than twice that. Dual drive 500/1000gb with better color accuracy.

It's not just Pixels that suck; Samsung's overpriced new flagships are expensive hand warmers too. If you don't care about having a variable refresh rate display and 5G, get a new or used N10+. New ones are loaded with Android 10... don't upgrade it. Security simply isn't an issue in this case. A better balanced phone with excellent build Q and a solid workhorse.
Both Google and Samsung now are more marketing hype talk than action. That's my opinion. No trophy unless you earned it.
If your phone hw is powerfull, then it will be hand warmer in winter.
Other issue is PWM, some flagships(Mi 12t as example) declare 1920 pwm, but in lab tests it is only 120hz(info from notebookcheck review).
My another option is Xiaomi 12x( good hw, not heating, pwm high, good battery stats), but not available via carrier e-shop. Xiaomi 12 powerfull hw, heating issues and also lower battery stats). Lets see how Xiaomi 13 deals with heat, pwm, etc.
F###k no more security patches for Mi note 10 pro and also no miui 14:

Strange move from Xiaomi.
I upgraded from the P6 to the P7. (I wasn't looking to upgrade, but when Google offered $479 for my P6 and the P7 was on sale for $499, it was a no brainer).
The P7 is hand down more fluid than the P6. It "feels" faster than the P6. I was actually surprised at the difference because I wasn't expecting much difference between the two.

same feeling and the fact that its getting smaller was a no brainer for me...I upgraded from 128gb p6 to 256gb p7 for 100 bucks....It'll be crazy not to take...
I honestly thought somebody at google did some wrong math and giving peopel this crazy deal...but then again its google...they are rich enough for me not to feel bad.
In what country Google offers such deals to exhange p6-p7?
It was in the US at least. However the trade-in values have already dropped and the sale prices end 12-24-22. So while you can still get the phone on sale, you can't trade in your P6 for $479 anymore. (I just checked and Google is only offering $150 for the P6).

U.S but not anymore...I just exchange a p5 for p7...p5 was giving $400 and they gave 100 off for cyber monday
In Germany I got 350 euros for a apple iPhone 8 plus and payed 570 euros for the pixel 7.
Liked my pixel 6 but got a cracked screen due to bicycle crash and a new screen would have been 190 euros
