ClockworkMod Recovery Image for Verizon LG G2 - Verizon LG G2

It seems that the image listed on clockworkmod.com for the Verizon G2 is not a loki compatible image. I tried installing the recovery image via ROM manager, and then via adb push / loki_flash, but both ways it bombed.
I assumed that the recovery image listed on clockworkmod.com and the one that is installed cia ROM Manager would be a loki image, but it is not.
I created one and installed it on my device. If anyone would like the recovery image, I can post it.

Why are you using ClockworkMod Recovery when we have TWRP that has been pre-lokied?

Thanks for your effort. Yes, post a link to the image. I would like the option of clockworkmod.

Here they are:
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?a=show&w=files&flid=8961
There is one image for CWM recovery and one for touch recovery. The loki images were created from the CWM images on clockworkmod.com using loki_flash.
These images must be flashed using the loki_flash method detailed here (use option 1):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2449670
Just replace the name of the *.img file specified in those instructions with the *.lok file you downloaded from the link above.
*** THIS IMAGE IS ONLY VALID FOR THE VERIZON LG G2 VARIANT! DON"T FLASH IT ON ANY OTHER DEVICES ***

I ran into the same problem with the AT&T version. Once you created the patched recovery file you do not need to flash with loki. You can change the extension back to img and flash anyway you like.

ATT version can be flashed with Flashify so I am guessing the Verizon version can too

this needs its own thread in the verizon dev section. I didn't even know CWM existed for the verizon version until just now. So op, make a theard in verizon dev section so more will see this.

Flashify.
I've not used flashify, but it may be because it's looking for a file with an *.img extension. The loki-fied files end in *.lok. I'll add copies of both images that end in *.lok.img. See if that works.

Links to CMW recovery loki files
Done: Two more files added to the directory
recovery-clockwork-6.0.4.4-vs980.lok.img
recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.4.4-vs980.lok.img
They are identical (binary same, MD5 sums match) to the *.lok files. See if these work with Flashify.

Yes, correct. I just tested these with Flashify and they work. You can either change the extension, as you did, or just append *.img, as I did. I created two copies of leach loki-fied image if people don't want to change the extension.

I expect to have a custom recovery up and running by the end of the weekend. I had one a few months ago, and if I still have the setup, I'll have a custom recovery sooner. But I won't know till tomorrow. It'll be CWM, not TWRP unfortunately.
I'm also intending to get a full build of CM10.2 up on the device, complete with all the standard features (with possibly a *few* exceptions, like the virtual mouse support).

Personally, I leave the overclocking to others. While I'm more than capable of modifying the kernel, I'm really more useful focused on things like features and porting. There are kernel devs who spend months focused on overclocking and different governors. I'm usually busy trying to get features ported or add new features (like adding touch to TWRP, or working on the 3D display and camera on the EVO 3D). I'm sure it won't be long until some new kernels pop up, and obviously by the end of the weekend, *someone* will have a flashable root, on top of the root method already posted.
I'm not worried about the overclocking lol that's them over on the Nvidia forums. I just want development to kick off after that everything else is a gimme and will come in due time.

OK I seen it but to me it's not root until I can get to recovery and it's properly done the last time I did it this way my device got screwed and had no way to do a recovery had the worst headache in history... I'll wait a bit more until it's more polished...
on the cm 10.2 do you plan are getting one from the ground up or try one that works on another device and modify it to work on the shield?

I'm going to upload them now to my servers. Going to extract all and make it just a zip. Also will give you the option to download the full zip or each file separately. Will be done shortly

I can upload the files as I already extracted them. The original OP is away from computers at the moment so I was just gonna wait until he gets back as its his thread. =)
If anyone is wondering why the extraction issue is because its needs to be uncompressed in linux where a GUI for licenses accept. If you have urgent need for the files I can post them.

It makes it so you can flash recovery? I had the exact same issue that he is having as well as about 300 other people.... You have to downgrade to jellybean then take the ota to kitkat 24a then flash autorec after that you need to download the 24a bootstack flash it and then you will be able to flash 24a ROMs BUT ALSO will then be able to just change modems if you want to try a ROM like the one I'm on lollipop 5.0 to 12b modem read the forums and if someone tells you to do something else other than this don't listen ask around to the people that know what there doing you'll just end up with a brick and have to use lg flash tools anyways lol good luck!

You need to use Autorec to install TWRP, boot into TWRP, flash the kernel for white line issue. You can confirm beforehand if you have a JDI panel using the app I linked above if you want to be 100% sure that's what your problem is before doing these steps.
If you're currently stuck with white lines and can't see the screen, the only thing I can recommend is returning it to stock using the guide in the General section and starting over.

1. Flash stock rom kdz.
2. Root it.
3. Download kernel for jdi http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51974589&postcount=281
and copy to internal card.
4. Instal Flashify from market.
5. Install Autorec and run. On prompt to reboot to recovery - say no.
6. Run flashify and flash kernel from 3 step via twrp.
7. reboot.
8. wait while flashing kernel (....its all in lines... wait....)
...wait foк lock screen after boot or lock it manually by power on-off.
and it all ok... but boot process and recovery in lines.
if you install twrp app from market, you will be able to flash some roms.
...but this is all that I have achieved.

Twrp for HTC ocl_ul 7.1 Final & 8.0 twrp 3.2.1-0

I have only tested on T-Mobile and us unlocked so flash at your own risk if u have a different device variant.
It was made for T-Mobile and us unlocked so I'm not sure if it would work on other variants.
Source will be updated in my github https://github.com/TWINNFAMOUS/android_device_htc_ocl/tree/android-7.1
MAJOR THANKS & CREDITS TO @Captain_Throwback @nkk71 for all the help with getting twrp working and decryption.
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img or what ever you name it.
Flashes images and zips and will take full backups.
Also is stock T-Mobile recovery.
I need a stock T-Mobile boot.img and system if anyone decides to send me one it would be appreciated.
Known bugs for twrp 3.2.1-0
Reboot to recovery does not work.
We need kernel source to fix so don't ask unless you know there's kernel source.
Make sure to report back ANY BUGS.

The test TWRP build on here works for me. Can't access SD card/data. Is that still a known issue or did I do something wrong when flashing? It took a few seconds to load TWRP when rebooting to recovery, then it asked for a password, where I just pushed Cancel. Then I swiped to allow modifications. No access to data though.
Thanks for this though dude! It's progress!

It won't unencrypt data. It did for me sometimes but not everytime and when I looked at the log it said my data partition was set to ext4 but said it was Emmc so I tried to change f.stab file and it still wouldn't unencrypt.
So I went to Twrp and in advanced format settings I clicked data partition and chose repair or change filesystem and changed from emmc to ext4 then it worked after it formatted. The only problem is now my secure boot doesn't work and Twrp never asks for a password. I wouldn't recommend doing what I did.

Check this out. They have twrp but it needs to be formatted first to enable encryption. I guess magisk doesn't do this but SuperSU does? Maybe you'll understand.
Hope this helps.

I did the format data already and I use the same supersu that I use on my HTC 10 the only thing I had to do is flash back stock boot.img because su wouldn't patch the magisk one. Now we need some custom roms.

I have a US Model BLA-A09 that I flashed LineneageOS on. How do I return the unit back to stock. I can't seem to find the stock firmware anywhere for this model.
Thanks

I have a US model and sorry can't answer your question however hoping you can help me by explaining how you rooted and unlocked your phones boot loader? If there is no way to recover for us US users though I may want to hold off.
Thanks

Only follow the unlock part, then flash TWRP (https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/development/huawei-mate-10-pro-twrp-3-2-1-0-t3769904) from dev section and latest magisk after that. (http://tiny.cc/latestmagisk)
@dkotoric there doesn't seem to be any A09 yet. Either it hasn't gotten any updates yet or they just haven't been found.

I manually flashed the system.IMG, kernel (aka boot) and recovery ramdisk image thru fastboot. With that, I was able to start (it wouldn't) but I somehow was missing some things I had deleted (and that's understandable) but some things I never had as well (such as system update, clones, magazine, and translator.
Somehow, after starting I was able to see the update in Firmware Finder, which before that I hadnt been able to. Downloaded it immediately and I also, same as another commenter I read just now around here somewhere, had problems with the extractor, so this time instead of the three individual IMGs thru fastboot, I flashed TWO of the supposed to be three update, update full, and update public (with the missing one being update.zip) straight thru the unofficial TWRP and voila! Back to complete clean stock with safety net (and Google pay verified and conserving custom recovery
