It's 4.4.
Will gapps be included?

i use these gapps http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012857
if anyone has other gapps to recommend please feel free to post them and i will include them in the first post

I think people might try the paranoid android gapps.
Please, give feedback about this ROM: I gave my old NS to my sister (even thought it broke my heart) and I'd like to know if it's worth flashing it for her.
Thanks in advance

It still has a black screen. I think http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/53284/ should fix it, but I'm not completely sure.

Still getting the black screen in browser so I guess webview is not working.
I've also tried PA GApps modular one but get Google+ FC and only get black screen (no launcher status bar) at start so I've to reinstall again to get rid of it. Now I'm using it with gapps and will test gapps later.
Great effort noloukos again :good:

Flashed fine with gapps, it was sluggish and slow. I wipped everything and flashed the rom without gapps and its smooth. Stock browser works but I'm getting black areas on the webpages, especially when scrolling. Wifi, 3G, bluetooth and camera working.
Right now I have 180 megs free RAM.

Fix for Browser is merged: http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/53284/ . Possible to get a newer build?

Flashed
Flashed this today and found it pretty good ... not as fast as the aosp build but its good ... flashed the PA Gapps
webview is still broken and i couldnt get to install the xda app from play store gave me some sd card error everthing else was installed with no problems
Volume rocker wake is needed so badly if the OP add it in the next build it would be very nice of him and i also got the score of 5000 in antutu but in antutu it shows that the rom is overclocked to 1400 but in performance settings it at 1000 only ..

How would I apply this fix?
Sent from my Nexus S using xda app-developers app

Everything seems to work so far... The SIM unlock screen is cut off (same with the other 4.4)... Enabling ART takes ages.. Seems to work with Devil kernel as well.. Haven't had time to play with ART yet, it's 04:16 here and I need to get some sleep...
Great job...

new build up. there will be no new builds till sunday. i will be on vacation

Try updating quadrant to a gingerbread compatible version.
Am getting no connection in the browser when on 3g. Note other apps like market or facebook work on 3g but browser gives me nothing. On wifi browser works great. Am on Vodafone NL and still had to manually add APN like in RC0 version.

Is this due due to the audio issues which are already being worked on?

i noticed that the in-call volume and in-call speaker volume is lower than other roms. I am running the recommended radios for this build.
This ROM ROCKS!!! Insanely fast and smooth. Everything works fine but there's a couple of glitches that I've found
1) the bottom 4 navigation buttons does not rotates
2) there is a missing font from the ROM. Under the language, android keyboard - one of the language's font is missing
3) PPTP VPN is not working with Windows 2008 (Used to be working on Original HTC Sense rom and Rev rom.
Wishes
1) can we have native chinese input added to android keyboard?
Much appreciated if you can kindly look into the above mentioned.
Thanks.

4ext is preserved, make sure you wipe everything if your coming form a sense rom. I don't think I need to say it, but make sure you make a backup just in case.

Well its really depends on what you running at behind on your phone.
If your phone is running many keep-online apps, like turning on g-maps latitude, gtalk, skype, facebook, twitter, whats app, talkbox, viber, G+, news updater etc. I say, 8 hours.
Plus if your phone have a single "buggy" app, something like older version of skype that will keep your phone CPU "Awake" all the time, I say, battery could last only 4-5 hours.
If you dont have any of those or you only use quality apps, plus 5 calls 10 text and 10mins brownsing per day, the power could last about 2 days and 1 night.
thanks! so i should be good by just updating revoery from ROM Manager and downloading the stable release (of course wipe and backup i'll do)

Is the connection issues ironed out? Had problems with the nightly 80s, dunno if the 90s had problem, don't think I tried any of them. I'm on like 78 now, and as tempting as this is to upgrade, I want to make sure I can actually make and receive calls and texts.
That sucked when I found out it wasn't working, really bad actually.

YOU'RE ALIVE. Lol, we miss you. And thanks for the great builds, CyanogenMod and Kali....
Been using CM9 RC1 for a couple hours now and everything is running pretty good.
The only thing i'm noticing is lag and screen tearing on stock launcher, and that's with or without forcing gpu rendering or surface dithering.
Other then that, everything seems stable enough for a daily driver.
Thank You CM Team!
EDIT: Seems to be happening with other launchers and with window and transition animations...

So I use the4 latest and no problems here but is there anything you can elaborate on that might have caused conflicts?
I've always wondered why I have a greenish look on CM9.
changing kernels solves the problem. Looks like color hue is off.
Any ideas ? why is this kernel related ?
would anyone care to share any major differences between AOKP and CM9? Would flash myself but don't have the time at the moment
Screen tearing on white background is the reason I stop flashing CM9 two month ago... I guess it was never fixed...

I've been on AOKP for awhile and never had the issue. I just flashed the RC1 this morning with 04292012 gapps and the matr1x kernel (v22) and mine is not greenish. (Sorry I didn't even boot before flashing kernel).
I've only been running it today with this setup and it is really fast and snappy.

I just switched from AOKP today and the main difference is bootanimation, launcher and AOKP has a little more customization options. :silly:
Honestly though, this build is running really nice and fast and I sure missed CM's "go to sleep" button in the notification pull down. So who knows what I'll do...

It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Video recording is slow.
Microphone recording is not proper.
WiFI Tethering doesn't work
WiFi Direct doesn't work
Bluetooth Tethering doesn't work.
Each Cyanogenmod versions for this device (P970) is abandoned before obtaining an acceptable maturation,
leaving a bunch of ROMs unstable and partially useful for daily use,
I think they should focus on polish a ROM well enough before changing of version,
I don't want to sound harsh but maybe their development is not fast enough to get a really stable version before google releases a new Android version
waw good news we can have android 4.3
i will try this rom

Hey dude, if you can't develope then STFU and let other people do their jobs. Not so many dev work on P970 so this situation is inevitable. Enjoy what we have.
Wait until WiFi Direct is fixed.

Anything we can do to help... Hope you can fix the major bugs first:
Moving apps 2 SD card uninstall them
Call waiting is not working properly (when in a call, if another person calls, the phone doesn't show any notification)
The other bugs I think we can live with them for a little while. But the bugs I mention, it is hard to use the phone in the daily basis. Missing calls without any notification is pretty bad
I don't see why 10.2 is not officially supported. It runs much smoother than 10.1.Well Dhiru,Thanks for the awesome work in 10.1 and now this! You stay being awesome!:victory:
How much RAM does this ROM uses? I heard it should be less than 4.0.4 or 4.2. Is it true?
Amusingly enough, camera saves only videos, not photos. Is it just me or someone else sees this ?
It seems to work when shooting, but it doesn't focus and it doesn't save a file. Video's fine. Weird.
Same problem, no photos is saved after shooting. The known problem is that ALL camera will be FC after shooting.

I have around 200 MB free. Pretty good.
Bugs:
Doesnt reproduce ringtones.
Doesnt take pictures, even with another apps as camera360.
Pros:
Battery drain is awesome, the best I've seen in months with CM Roms.
Faster.
Almost a great ROM for being an Alpha release.
Is there something we can do to help you?.
