UCCW on Galaxy Gear - Samsung Galaxy Gear

Hi all,
I have just installed UCCW on my Galaxy Gear (running null 10.1) but for some reason I cannot see the New Open and Save buttons - the widget creation screen takes up the whole of the top screen - is this normal?
Also I have just bought a widget to use with UCCW but it does not show up when trying to load a widget - the author has said this is due to Jelly Bean introducing a new encryption feature that google play uses while installing the UCCW skins and has said he can provide a fixed version so I have emailed him and I am waiting for a response - is this also normal?
Many thanks for any help
:good:

You need an app like Pie or UDN, something to give you the menu button back. its the only way to bring up the menu you need. (I have tried pie and UDN. Currently using UDN)

hmm just tried to install pie but it said not compatible :crying:

Try UDN

Thanks, got that installed and I can see it adds the little nav menu at the bottom which is nice - although it still doesn't allow me to see the UCCW menu at the top of the screen? Do I need to configure it?

on the nave bar press and hold the Return button (Left button), That is the menu button. Each of the three buttons in the have have a long press button.
The Menu button will bring up the uccw options menu.

[Q] Fastest way to access Google Now "Voice"?

Anyone know how to access Google Now "Voice" on the Xperia Z lockscreen or before you unlock your phone?
Google Now widget doesn't allow that.
Currently I can either have google search widget or icon on home screen.
Even if I can change the "long hold soft home key" to go directly to voice instead of search that would be great.
Thanks!

There are plenty of ways if you are rooted, I personally have it as the center shortcut on LMT pie controls.

Thanks for your reply.
I should have added that I would like to keep stock launcher/lockscreen and without any additional apps running in the background if possible.
I really have no use for additional controls.

Ok then if you can, install uccw and create a widget with a google voice hotspot.
My phone is going through the flashing process or else i would've seen what else was possible.

Yeah, been searching around and looks like I may have to install an app.
uccw sounds ok. I just want something as unobtrusive as possible.
Checking out the playstore for some gesture apps as well.
Did you try holding the home button for a second then swipe upward after you see Google now icon appears. Then say "Google" it will automatically activate Voice command. I hope it helps.

just swiping up from the home button is enough, I think.

[REQUEST] Reachability

Hey all I was wondering if there was an app where we can double tap the home button and it brings the top half of the screen down so that way we can reach buttons easier. The iPhone six has this feature and I think it would come in handy on all big phones like the iPhone six.
Sometimes when your trying to use the phone one handed you just can't reach the hamburger button on the Play Store.
Nothing major but I'm sure it'll be something that people would use.
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA Free mobile app
Maybe for Xposed once it's released for ART
I know something better. Pie
Just need one to control the hamburger.
It's been working perfectly this whole week with the menu button.

I've tried Pie and I just don't like it. This is why Android should have never abandoned the Menu button.

It works on my G3 (just tested it) but I haven't felt a need to use the menu button in along time.
Swipepad with Nova launcher
when you are adding a pad,go to shortcuts then nova action and then you can pick expand notification bar or/and expand quick settings

[App 5.+] VSB - Virtual Swipe Button

I switched last weekto the AOSP Oreo build for our beloved OnePlus One. So there I'm missing the possibility to customize hardware button remapping. Since I also don't like to waste place on my screen with the navigationbar, I polished up an app I developed once for my old Samsung Note 1.
VSB places a virtual button on the bottom of your screen (the grey circle in the screenshot). You can hide it and you can change the size. This button will always be there. So, now you can attach different events on different triggers of that button.
Triggers:
click
long click
double click
swipe up
swipe left
swipe right
Events:
Nothing
Home
back
Recents
open notifications
open Quick settings
open power menu
lock screen
open volume panel
To do this the app needs the following permissions enabled:
android.permission.SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW: to show the button over other apps, otherwise you could not click it
android.permission.BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE: to trigger some events (home, back, power menu, ...)
android.permission.ACCESS_NOTIFICATION_POLICY: to open volume panel during "Do not disturb" mode
Downloads:
In the third post.
The app is complete open source: [url]https://github.com/scoute-dich/VirtualSoftKeys[/URL] and a heavily modified fork of VirtualSoftKeys, which is licensed under the Apache License.
The app can be used on any device running Lollipop+. I just want to share it, because for me it's usefull and I hope for some of you also. This is my way to say thanks to all other developers and to give the great community on XDA something back. If you have suggestions or if you find some bugs, just tell me here or open an issue on Github.

If you could add open app drawer, this would be perfect.. I know I'm a small case scenario, but your dot will interfere with my layout (see screenshot).. If there's an app drawer ( or select app) feature, it'd be amazing.. Oh, and moveable too..
Volume option takes me to do not disturb option, not the volume panel..

1. I don't think, that opening the app drawer is possible. I can't call "a launcher method" from outside the launcher. In my setup the dot also interferes with the open drawer function. But with my launcher (Flick launcher) it's possible to swipe up on the dock to open the drawer. Perhaps you have a similar possibility?
Also with your current settings it should be possible to touch the open app drawer button without clicking the VSB.
2. Moveable would be nice. I will look out for possibilities, when I have the time. At the moment I'm very busy at work and don't have much time. Also this app has a lower priority than other apps, I already published on PlayStore and F-Droid, which also have some outstanding issues to solve.
3. The thing with the volume panel is strange. I used the app on different Nougat and Oreo roms. And it always opens the "ringtone volume slider"...
But anyway, thanks for your feedback. I promise to take a look in the second suggestion.

How to put installed apps icon on Home Screen?

Red Magic 3 new user here, accidentally removed an icon from the home screen, so how to put it back there? (Also for the other installed apps I see in the Settings but not shown on the Home Screen)...
Anyone can help? Thanks in advance!
Are you serious, bro? This is basic Android. You press and hold down on the icon, then move it up to where you want. Same as removing from the home screen.

Seriously, it doesn't work on Red Magic 3, I can't find the App Drawer. I can't find the installed app icons other than in the Settings (Apps & Notifications), and you can't drag it to the Home Screen.
And when you click & hold the Home Screen, it only shows option for "Home Settings", "Widgets", and "Wallpapers".

[SOLVED] How to bring back vertical recently opened apps display?

Galaxy A71, Android 12, One UI = 4.1. When I first got my Galaxy A71, the recent apps button showed a vertical stacked overlapping list of my recent open apps. This was great. For some reason, this display was replaced by a horizontal slide list that only shows 1 open app at a time. How to go back to the vertical stacked overlapping list of open apps?
Can a custom launcher do this?
See the left side of the top pic to see the open app display I want. https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2014/11/android-5-0-lollipop-thoroughly-reviewed/6/
Try using Good Lock (or NiceLock) + the Home Up module. It should let you customize the recents style (called Task Changer inside Home Up)
