X-Ray Image Nexus 5 - Nexus 5 General

Hi,
I made a X-Ray image from my Google Nexus 5 @ 75kV. 8mA, three different contrast settings.
NFC, Qi charge coil, accu, cameras, speaker... readily identifiable.
Furthermore the high absorbtion of the ceramic power button and volume rocker.
Have fun!

Hmm, I'm thinking something different... I was looking for something suitable to use as a drive icon, for when the phone is plugged in to the computer. I think this might be it!

This is really cool - and yeah, some high-res images for wallpapers would be grand.
Even better, use it as a background for the N5 cropped to the right resolutions.

OK, CT scan next

I will check tomorrow if I it is possible to take a picture in higher resolution.

Hi Guys,
here an other one, combinated two pictures with a bit more sharpness.
A higher resolution is not possible with the hardware I get here, sorry for that! I think i could record a new image playing around with the camera frequency (=focus level) but i dont want to x-ray my phone 20 times to get an image which is a little bit less blurred.

Thx. Makes for a great background.

Update: yup. You guys are right. Its just a phone. And no. I dont take pictures of my food. Lol. I was expecting too much for a 300 dollar device. And no phone is perfect in every way. I do have a dslr, but I wont be carrying that with me 24/7. So sometimes you have to use your phone to freeze that perfect moment.
I was not trying to convince anybody to not get the phone. I was simply trying to get the fact out in case it does bother anyone.
My nexus will be arriving in a few days.
So one image of bright lights means it's a problem huh? Jesus...

You should at least try it. If you just rely on review every time, you won't but anything. I was afraid that this phone wouldn't be a real upgrade (i had a galaxy nexus). But the hardware is really good and the reactivity of the device is just amazing.
I would consider give it a try, you can always send it back if you want to and get a refund.

All phone cameras get this AFAIK. It's bright lights that do it. Some do it more than others, but they all do it to some degree.
I don't have that issue...but if it means that much to you, then just go buy a dedicated camera and use it.

Your kidding me right? The camera is amazing, its not even comparable :what:
The quality is outstanding and the colors are just so vibrant. Completely wrecks my S3.
Well think about how would flash work with the modes that take multiple shots and/or combine them? Obviously those special settings wouldn't be optimal in low light settings where flash is necessary.
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda app-developers app
The number one reason I upgraded over my HTC Evo 4G LTE was for the better camera in the S4, specifically outdoor/daylight. And I've been testing the heck out of it. Takes spectacular pictures! I'm very happy with the camera. Sport mode works great for non-blurry images of fast moving objects, too. Flash only works in a couple of modes, but that makes sense given most of the modes it's not available in.

I found it slow at first, then i turn on Sport Mode and its pretty fast. I think it all depends on the configuration of the Mode you have ON.

You're close. The pixels are actually twice the size and the sensor itself is the same size as most 8mp and even some 13mp sensors - it only has a maximum 4mp resolution output though which makes it a 4 megapixel camera.

Yea colors, contrast, brightness and gamma.
Some people get lucky and get a screen they're satisfied with like yourself, but some of us aren't so lucky.
For example my N7s gamma is too high and everything is overly bright or has a bloom effect so to speak. Essentially making reading text a task. Stressful on my eyes, etc.

Then sir please explain me why the n4 which has a IPS LCD can be calibrated. The only reason we can't calibrate it is because the devs can't find an interface (kernel) to change the colors like it is with the n4 (or amoled devices) . Seems like nvidia and Asus went cheap on this one... I hope there will be some changes for the new Android version.

Calibrating this screen is simply not possible because the interface is not there. The only way to calibrate is using the specialized software from the factory, which we obviously don't have. It will never be possible in the kernel, unless google/asus adds it (unlikely).

Amoled always has calibration info to mess with due to how they work (no backlight) and their infancy requiring calibration.
Samsung devices almost always have calibration info, probably due to touchwiz and their display modes feature.
Nexus 4 users just got lucky. Google made a source change to emphasize yellows, leaving code for the devs to play with and now understand.

Unboxing

Got my Gear in this morning. Wanted to do an unboxing video. A first for me. Enjoy!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uK2buXwEf8
Give us your impressions.
So far, I am limited until my phone arrives later on this afternoon. Right now I am wearing it to see how it feels. I have large wrists so I had to use the furthermost hole in the band, but it fits well. It has a bit of weight to it, which for some, might take a little getting used to. The buckle also serves as the speaker.
If you're typing it can interfere with the wrist rests on your keyboard but your mileage might vary. I did power it on and take it outside to test outdoor visibility. It's sunny here in Houston today, I didn't see any issues, but again, it's just my preference.
It came with a 71% charge. I used the cradle to charge it to 100% which didn't take long at all. The watch is pretty much useless without the phone.
I want to see a pic of it on your wrist for size comparison plz ,,,,thx
