Update 2 below is provided to fix file transfer issues between tablet and PC.

This is a port of the T2105 Kids Tab from Samsung.
It has normal mode and Kids mode. Kids mode features a kids launcher, kids camera, various kids games, and parental controls. Pre-installed kids games are automatically hidden from the normal mode app drawer (they can be un-hidden). I haven't explored all the kids games, so feel free to report about your experiences.
It is a very large rom, so some of the kids apps have been converted to user apps (data/apps).
I make no guarantees that every kids app will work flawlessly. If it doesn't work, just remove it and download a new one.
It is still loaded with all the Samsung bloatware, so it isn't exactly the snappiest rom out there. It is also rooted, so you can easily remove whatever you wish. It includes a self-compiled kernel, but I recommend @ketut.kumajaya's Blackhawk kernel.
Install using your favorite custom recovery. Full wipe/factory reset required.
Download the KidzRom World Edition HERE. This version has more languages than the original US version.

Download the original US version of the rom HERE.
Install Update 1 after rom installation (original US version only). This update removes a couple kids apps that didn't work properly and updates a couple that had store updates. There are plenty of kids apps in the kids store to replace the ones removed.
All users should install Update 2 to fix file transfer issues between tablet and pc.
(Optional) If your tablet has the newer bootloader version, you may get a black screen during the boot process. You can use the kernel from THIS post or install the latest blackhawk kernel.
No need to wipe before installing the updates.

i don't have a tab 3 yet but i've been debating whether or not to get this or the official kids version for my son but if this has no bugs i don't see any reason why i would buy the more expensive one.

I didn't really notice any bugs when I was testing, but I didn't spend a whole lot of time on it.
We'll have to wait for some reports to come in.
Edit: Okay, some of the kid games don't work correctly. I will release an update if I figure out the issue.

I have no intention of trying to get it working on any other device, but if someone who owns a T211 wants to use it as a base, I don't mind at all.

I posted an update in the OP (only about 60mb) that will remove a couple kids apps that didn't work properly. There are plenty of apps in the kids store to replace the ones removed. :good:

Even if you don't find the time to work out the issues with the Asian language apps, the UI is so much nicer than what's available on the play store and I know my daughter is going to love this present! I have a large catalogue of games and apps associated with my play account anyway, which will be made available to her in kids mode.

Thanks I did that and it installed. Booted tab, chose kid mode as launcher - always and its black screen with message "unfortunately kids mode has stopped". Any ideas?

Ps I went to check update and got the massage that the system is modified so update cannot proceed. Im not botherd much as tab runs well but just asking if you have any ideas because I tried temp unroot but get same message.

1) First root using SuperOneClick and follow dg's instructions to install CWM.
2) copy full PreROm.zip and v10 v3k file to your SDcard
3) Power off your phone.
4) With the phone powered off, hold the volume down button, the 3D button, and the power button until you see the LG logo and then release. This should boot you into CWM.
5) Select "wipe data/factory reset".
6) Select "install zip from sdcard" and navigate to and select prerom.zip
7) When it finishes flashing, select "reboot system now". The first boot will take a few minutes.
8) then wait until you see thrill welcome screen click "quite" instead of continue.
9) Turn off the phone With the phone powered off, hold the volume down button, the 3D button, and the power button until you see the LG logo and then release. This should boot you into CWM again
10) Do not Select "wipe data/factory reset".( You already done it when you installed the pre ROM)
11) Select "install zip from sdcard" and navigate v10Kv3.zip file and install.
12) When it finishes flashing, select "reboot system now". The first boot will take a few minute

You see... I'm up in the air about releasing a GB rom... right now at this point it will only cause a LOT of problems for me.
In order to get GB to work you must install either baseband only or the GB kdz. The baseband method obviously a LOT of people are having issues with, this creates way too many questions and troubleshooting, more than I would be able to handle in a timely manner at this point.
The kdz method means you have to flash the kdz file which creates more questions, then you have to re-root, reinstall CWM THEN flash a custom rom. There is no way to put baseband in a rom.
This just seems like it would be way too much to deal with unless someone reliable wants to be my Q&A monkey. I am thinking I would much rather wait till more people get on the GB baseband then release GB. This is not set in stone though, who knows I might change my mind and throw together a GB rom tomorrow. I don't even know what I'm going to do.
Plus if CM9 is right around the corner... all that work would be pretty much for nothing because it would get ditched for a ICS/CM9 rom. For me right now I think best bet is to tweak the crap out of my kernel and rom.
Ugh, I'm kind of stuck on making a decision... hell I haven't even made a v10k rom yet...

well i never actually left, i just gave the phone to my wife, but now i'm thinking on letting her have the SGSll Sky Rocket, and use the Thrill myself, i miss the
3D, and alson since i bought a case that has a kick-stand it was just so awesome to take it out in public and show it off, specially with the rom it has

Welcome, looking forward to see how this turns out. Dont see why you would remove Touchwiz launcher but thats easy to put back. So this is based on LI2 JB OTA, i guess, and thats a wise choice. Its much more complete than the LI1 OTA.
Suggestion for theme: if you could theme the settings.apk background black, i hate the white background. Its been done on the ICS Samsung roms for GT-P7500 and i guess its pretty much the same with the firmwares for the Note 10.1. it also has the contacts background themed in black and some more apks. Think this would be absolute tiptop and it would probably be highly appreciated by the users.

ill try my best to theme every aspect of the rom to black or some other dark color but for now after the upload i need feed back on the performance and if there is any bug since im using this rom like my everyday use so far i haven't seen any bugs based on how i use my note anyway its uploading is 20% now and ill be looking forward on feed backs.
oh yea i removed the touchwiz since thats the only app that is causing the graphic flickering and ill put it back after i fix that issue.
BTW i took note of the rom you showed me ill try to base the theme from that rom :good:

Let me know if you need help with testing. Regarding screen flickering, i read that some are effected by it. Im not! No icons disappering for short time or screnn blinking. Good luck with developing and let us know if you need help.

have you downloaded the rom for GT-P7500 with black theme? I still have it on my PC since 7500 days. I could upload settings, contacts, mail and framework for you and you could have look at it.
Downloading rom now and will give feedback when installed and tested some.

I added the launcher from Hani`s JB LI1 rom to the rom zip before flashing and i have no flickering what so ever. Will upload it to my public dropbox folder for everyone to download. The rom behaves nicely and i havent found any issues so far. Nice work OP

No known bugs as far as I know.
I have added the Stock kernel im my modification as we dont have the latest Devil Kernel for Vibrant.
One thing I observed is, the toggle icon for 'Sound' when trying to set for 'sound' 'vibrate' is missing.
BLN worked in cm10.1 alpha but it has yet to work for me with whatever kernel you packed in. Just reporting

Dude. 1130 Gapps isnt even in the link. Its pawitp's gapps that are broken, not the 1130 ones.... -.- And we cant fix that...link is here: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121130-signed.zip

I am sorry I didnt get what you mean by "dead"?
Downloaded yesterday night. I didnt experiment with everything . I tried the data and the wifi and the calling function. Ive had no problems with any of those features. I am not really a GPS and bluetooth kinda guy so i didnt get to check those.
The rom is running very smoothly without any problems or errors popping up about " your such and such and stopped working blah blah blah"
one thing i notice is a litttle off is the lock screen widgets sometimes cannot be accessed. Meaning when i turn on the phone and scroll to the right of left of the lock screen for the widgets it doesnt recognize the scroll at times and i have to do it multiple times.
Also the major dissatisfaction was the camera. At first the camera app worked, then suddenly, it stopped and the error "unfortunately, Gallery has stopped" keeps pooping up. Although the gallery app its serlf is working fine.
like the smoothness of the rom on 1% lag. Thank you for the wonder full rom.

Regarding the FC, you could try cleaning cache and dalvik cache from the recovery and fixing permissions from recovery as well.
I am not sure if the voodoo would work. I have not tried. you could.
Note: Please thank DerTeufel for this ROM. This not my ROM. I have made it available for the Vibrant community.

Wp7 style dialer, contacts and messages software. To use it just set is as default.
Wp7 lockscreen, please tick turn off lockscreen in cm7 settings in tablet options.

was just deciding to look around my old device's forum today and found this, thought it was interesting, link doesn't work, and now it looks like i won't be trying this. please do your best to make it actually boot on your update...DO TESTING BEFORE RELEASING!!!

All roms on XDA have the risk of bricking your phone, thats why devs post them here so it can be tested. Now that he knows it doesn't boot he will try to fix it. Don't post pointless posts if it doesn't boot just say it doesn't.

developers aren't supposed to be pushing out untested work, especially if it doesn't even boot. you should check the other forums if you think Saranhai's posting "pointless posts". sure, they're not responsible if your device bricks and that is a possibility, they don't push out ROMs so "it can be tested". no, when they push out ROMs, users expected it to already have been thoroughly tested. they post our work on XDA because they want to share our work. that's what XDA is about, sharing, not "oh i'm just going to push some junk out without testing it myself and hope it boots".
it's common sense really.

You won't know how much bullsh't of ROMs are posted in forums for old devices. For example some pre-pre-alpha CM10 versions (i have a lot more examples) which also didn't even boot. The "Devs" just want to grab the f'cking thanks from the people (for whatever reason). The people are glad that somebody care about their device but in the reality they make one build of their Rom, and dont support them anymore cuz they are no devs and didn't even have the device. And nobody care's about whether it's booting or not.
I think the creator of this ROM has ambitions to solve the bugs and he has the device to test it. But if he has no time than he has no time so what should we do? Do you think 'bashing' him makes his work booting?! Did u even know that if ROM developement threads have no links to the ROM there's a risk to get closed?
And finally:
Its almost impossible to brick your phone because of a ROM, to do that you have to be a very very very silly person, so everybody calm down and let him solve the bugs.

This ROM is still a WIP. I have been able to flash this successfully myself but others have expressed issues with phone FC's. I am currently looking into this issue to find a solution.
Saw some people asking for more popular TW ROMs and while I know this is in the process of being brought to Sprint I figured I'd try and port it for us so we have it until it's fully brought over.

Should just be a simple download and flash. I imported the most up to date ktoonsez kernel so you shouldn't need to flash a new kernel on top of this ROM.
Back up your APN's just incase!!!
Download APN Backup and Restore off the app store to do this!
Do your typical wipe before flashing.

Go ahead and try it without restoring your APN's first and see what happens. I'm hoping it doesn't need a data work around since it is another CDMA ROM but we all know things are never that easy...
But yes, back up your APN's just incase!

I tried this rom & flashed it a while ago from Verizon section. The only thing wasn't workin for me was data 3g. Thats all

No I'm saying I wasn't aware that people had already tried this and run into data issues.
I'll use the data fix that we applied in the MIUI port to try and fix the data problem later tonight.
In the mean time, it would be helpful to know if it may have been a fluke and it happens to just you or everyone has this issue.

It's an app in the play store called APN Backup and Restore.
Download and launch this app to back up your APN.
DO THIS BEFORE YOU FLASH AND BE SURE TO BACKUP TO YOUR SDCARD.
You need your APN to be accurate and need to know that it's working prior to flashing.
Flash your ROM and then download the APN app from the play store off WiFi and restore your APN settings.
***NOTE: This is ONLY if data isn't working after you flash. But do this as a PRECAUTION if data doesn't work. Otherwise you have to flash back to a working ROM and backup your APN there and restart the flashing process!***

I'll be updating it with the data fix tomorrow when I get into work. I ended up porting this ROM at work on my lunch so the zip is there. (You see what I do for you people! )
After the data fix is applied it should just be a simple flash and go ROM.

Not yet, like I said a few posts earlier it's on my work laptop which is at work sadly...
I'll be updating it and inputing the data fix into the build.prop tomorrow morning when I get in though.
Maybe you can trade me your 11 second Evo for updating it? (Awesome car man, drive it like you stole it.)

MD5 is good, reflashed after complete wipe of everything (except internal storage and SD card), flashed ktoonsez latest just for grins, fixed permissions in TWRP... no change. :banghead:

Everything else appears to be ok from what I can tell.... back on FreeGS4 at the moment and going to re-d/l this and give it another shot. Thinking my download was bunk cuz I also realized I have no splashscreen on boot, it's just black (I hit reboot after it flashed and walked away to do other things and didn't pay attention to it booting up).
