SlimKat is out! - Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 4G

It's only a beta, but it's getting closer. In order to get Slimroms on our phone, do they release them, or does someone here have to port them? If someone here has to port them, we might be stuck, as all our devs are either busy or gone....

Since our phones are pretty outdated and never spoke of, I'm pretty sure it wont be released for this device. Someone would have to port it.
You never know though.

If I had the first clue how to do it, I would port it. I haven't taken programming, though, in 30 years.... And that was just basic.

Yeah, I tried to port a few from guides, but never succeeded, haha.
We'll have to wait till the 4.4 rom thats already out for our phone to be more stable
Also waiting for Ion rom

I can't want to see what they come up with. I like the Slimroms because they're so small. i have never used straight cyanogenmod, so we'll see what it looks like when it's done. I agree about ION. That one looks nice, too.

I am attempting to port it now. Using a guide it boots but very laggy

I think the problem I'm having is with cm11, using that as my base and that is slightly laggy as well. I will try my luck at making an oc kernel

Sweet. I've been hoping to see this happen. I am still rocking the 2013APR26 Build of Slimbean 4.2.2 with the 3.0.74 OC Kernel. It is awesome. SlimKat will be even more awesome! Would love to have the same type of OC kernel to go with it!

Bad news, I bricked my backup phone, I won't be doing much until I get it fixed.

Cool, and I seem to get where you're coming from given some other stuff that's happened with devs' work over the last couple of months (threads being locked until sources posted, etc). There is a such thing as too many rules. Hey I know you're not saying anything as I read the OP, just my two bits.

I know I haven't said much of why I had stuff pulled but I'll leave it at this....I'm really frustrated with xda and what seems to be a lot of politics that comes with it. I will eventually repost all my work and then some as my frustrating wears off. As of right now I think I am going to give up developing until I can get a better laptop or the parts to upgrade my desktop. It sucks when you are building stuff and you can't multitask at all because of the build hogging all the CPU power

I actually have a decently functioning d2att port. How to install if interested:
First make a backup
Then wipe data. You can dirty flash if you're already running cm10.1 but don't dirty flashes are a no-no.
Then flash this:
http://db.tt/p4FgJsnN
Then flash this:
http://db.tt/KoRbVtrT
But WiFi/cell service doesn't work at all yet so just understand that before you flash. Also the screen doesn't really shut off. Sort of a pain in the butt but still, its for developers haha.
Oh and also MAKE A BACKUP.
This actually isn't all my work, i just simply modified a few text files. Here is the original thread:

ETA Of Custom Roms

Hello Everyone,,
Well we all have been waiting for a while for this dang boot loader to get unlocked. Do we have anyone that can report any success at all yet? how close are we getting? We all know we can root with kingo which is alittle bit safer now since thier update. WE need to get this rolling i love flashing roms and providing feedback. Any one think we will get some custom roms and this dang boot loader unlocked by then end of the year!?! Feel free to speak your mind we need to start talking to each other to get this done. we only have 2 threads on here this is crazy!!!
There's a thread this been getting some attention the past couple days. It allows you to flash a ROM without recovery. Go check that out. Very risky I believe though.

LiquidSmooth Testing

I am looking for someone to test a LiquidSmooth build, that i made for the Nook color (Encore). I have one being shipped to me and it will arrive in a few days i will test it then. But it would be nice if someone could test it before, the liquidsmooth tree is based on the CM tree.
Download link: http://www.drdevs.com/devs/teamliquid/Nightly/Nook Color/LS-KK-v3.0-2014-03-13-encore.zip
Gapps: http://www.drdevs.com/devs/teamliquid/Gapps/

Sorry, Man!
ROM and gapps flashed just fine. Boot animation is totally borked. Bright lime green screen and could barely make out the words "Smooth Liquid".....went through the "upgrading android".....but never got to the welcome screen. Still with the lime green screen, I could see "process.android.com stopped"
Please don't give up on this as I would really like to use this! If you need me to test another build just shoot me a pm. Currently using Gummy 4.4.

So we have to deal with you lurking for another year? Go back to your LTE forums! Jk....
*Cough*...anyway, to the OP, while I'm sure that a port from the preview will surface eventually, don't hope for much. Especially since this is only a preview, not many devs seem to be overly eager to jump on that bandwagon.
There are still bugs in the preview build, so porting it to another device might make things a little more complicated than usual. Ultimately, waiting for the source of the complete Android L to drop is best for everyone. A very respectable dev has already bricked his Nexus tablet while trying to build an Android L rom, and that's a device that both the factory image AND the source code was released for...so go figure.
