That's a hard brick, and there's nothing you can do there, only if you had a setool box you could recover it. I bricked my T by messing up with the bootloader, after a lot of research I sent my T to Sony saying that I didn't know what happened, it wasn't booting. A month and some weeks after i received a free new T.
Maybe you will continue reasearching, but I don't think you are gonna find anything, my best advice is to send it to Sony as faster as possible, so you will have it quicker. Also don't mention unlocked bootloader or anything, play it crazy.

but i do not have a warrenty i got it without warrenty

Then you are screwed... Might as well put it in the bin

Well, then restore it? Alternatively, you can try to flash a stock firmware through flashtool. That should reset the partition table.

flashtools isnt decting my device i am trying sony's flashtools now i hope i can fix it
edit : ah and i cant boot into fastboot mode neither flash tools i am trying sony's flashtool if it can helps me

That's why is called a hard brick. Soft bricks are easy. If you mess with the partition table you are asking for trouble if you don't know what you are doing.

Can you get into flash mode? Green led? Then it is not hard bricked. (If you did not ever touched mmcblk0p1.) Remove all drivers, install them again, try different version of flashtool, etc.

i get only red led blink for 1 time when i connect it to my laptop without battery
please help
i will donate to anyone who will help me i realy loved this phone

If you can't get into flash mode (green led, while connecting and holding volume down), then your battery is dead and you must charge it elsewhere (or buy new battery) or it's really bricked.

i unstalled the driver and reinstalling them but QHSUSB_DLOAD searching for driver then it changed the name to ZEUS Flah driver
i tried setools but it says that SMARTCARD ERROR and it dosnt open and emma / flashtools dosnt detect my device , i only get a red blink on my phone when i connect it without a battery

setools is hardware and software combo for sony phones, you must buy data card to use setools if not card mean you cannot use setools to flash any thing first your phone must at least can boot into flash mode, fastboot mode or cwm, if all of those cannot, then you can bin your phone:crying::crying:

Not true, even if you don't have proof of purchase Sony will still repair your phone under the 2 year warranty, they use the manufacturer code on the phone displayed as 11w22 11 being the year and w22 being week 22 of that year.
I have sent in two phones which I bought of ebay and they have repaired them under warranty with no questions asked. So to the OP if you just do what was suggested, to send in the phone in and act dumb that you dont know what happened it could work
best of luck buddy

bricked HD

So, lets start at the begining.
Today I was testing the new android build from 20nov.
Everything went fine until restarting my phone into windows. The phone did boot properly, exept the screen stayed off.
Touch input did work.
After a couple of restarts everything was back to normal and i picked up the testing from the android build again.
However, a later on the same problem arised. This time more persistent.
Also the led wouldn't go on anymore when charging the phone...
After 30 tries of rebooting a decided to hard-reset the phone by holding Vol down+up and power. Then waiting a while (because i couldn't see what was happening) and then pressed vol up to hard reset.
Then waited like 5 minutes and then tried to boot again by holding the power button.... Nothing
Then waited another 5 minutes, pulled out the battery and tried another boot.
No succes either.
Bottom-line now.
The phone is dead, won't react to anything, no charging no booting.
What can I do???
No stock rom, so i guess no warranty???
Really hope someone can help!!!
Ouch , you're right about the no guarantee rule but i don't know what u could do ..
Best of luck pal.
Maybe anyone got any experience with garanty+ a flashed rom.
Who brought therte phone back with a flashed rom without telling HTC and got their warranty?
Would be great if that worked (a)
Can you do anything with phone? Try taking battery out for 24hrs before re-inserting it and attempting to reboot. If you can still do nothing with device you may have bricked it and only thing which can be done is to return it, though warranty void. Have you tried asking within Android thread to see if anyone else has had similar issues?

Thanks for the battery tip, i'll try that!
about an hour ago i did get a little response from my phone. It vibrated after pushing the on button!
And then nothing....
This only happens when the phone is not connected to usb(charger or pc, no difference).
I did post my problem in the android thread, however no response.
I'll also PM phhusson about my problem. Would be nasty if more people would brick their phone.
Still like to hear some experiences with the garanty-service of HTC if anyone has got any
if it is so "dead" nobody can say if the ROM was original or not. let them think is a hardware problem and replace yr device!!

Well that is probably what i'm gonna do/try if I can't reanimate is myself
Just hope there really is no way of telling by HTC themselves...
Maybe try to see if you can flash a ROM image on it again from the SD card - doing it blind, there are only a few keys to press to reflash, maybe the screen is not working but the device powers up occasionally ?

Try to flash a new cooked rom. Remove battery, then wait 30 secs, then put back battery and push volume down and power button simultaneously. Then you can flash a new rom.
It worked for me.
(sorry for my "english")
intresting
so, tried to flash via RUU.exe+connecting to my pc.
What I did:
-Vol down+power button
-connect phone to my pc via usb.
-run RUU.exe with a dutty rom
-then RUU says it couldn't find my phone.
However, my pc (windows 7) does!
But not how it is supossed to do it.
Check out the screen to see what i mean.
Maybe something more can be doen now? Anyone knows what is going on here?

Maybe you just need to change drivers??? Becouse sometimes Vista change it by itself, so I think 7 can work in the same way?!
Try it, as far as can see from your screen there are no drivers installed
""Manufacturer: Unknown
Device Status: The driver for this device are not installed.""
Go to - Windows Mobile Device Center, then select - Mobile Device Settings, Connection Settings, then uncheck - Allow USB Connections.
Normally this would be ticked to allow syncs etc but to flash a rom it needs to be unchecked.
I cant tell from your post if you have done this or not.
Hope it helps.

I dont have W7 but would imagine it will be similar.
I don't really think it's compulsory to uncheck this. I have it checked and flash my roms without any problems.
But Blackstone is not a friend of Seven at first. You have to tell him to recognise the other.
I have installed the windows-mobile device center from microsoft website and then Windows 7 recognized my HD otherwise I got the same problem as you (no driver).
Hope it can help !

You may be right but mine will not work with the check mark still on.
H
It does look like a driver issue. Follow this thread to get the necessary usb drivers.
Do you have the Hspl? If yes can't you try flashing from the sd card? (The connection issue you showed is when you are in active sync mode, isn't it?)
Have you tried to flash an original ROM? It should work regardless of your USB connection settings and if you manage to do that and still no life in your hd - you can return it with warranty. And one more suggestion - find a XP machine to do this. Btw - flashing through the SD card is a very, VERY good idea.
succesfull flash, no result.
First of all, a huge thanks to you guys!
The idea's and help u came up with really made my day.
Second, I got to flash my phone. With the right drivers installed everything worked like it supposed to work.
However, the same problems still persist....
So I think this problem is deeper then rom orientated (ideas?)
Anyhow, now I'm able to flash a original rom to my phone, which should help my warranty!
Great job guys, kudos to you

I already tried flashing through the SD card. Normally this is the way to go for me, but it didn't seem to do any good this time (not sure if I performed it correctly, since my screen is "dead")
I'm a bit confused... you managed to flash rom? So your sync works? (on the other side you say your screen is dead?)

My Samsung Galaxy Ace won't turn on!!!!!

Hello, recently i've flashed my galaxy ace with rom manager (ClockworkMod) so i can make the partition thing to my sd card, so i flashed it, turn it off, and then i won't turn on. I can't even charge my phone! I tried to turn it on in reboot mode but it doesn't do anything. I even tried to turn on download mode and nothing. Not even the samsung logo shows up. Nothing! I'm desesperated, I don't know what to do now. I'm new in this forum, so I will be very very thankful if someone could help me on this. Please.
First, ROM MANAGER BRICKS SAMSUNG GALAXY ACE!
Second, YOUR PHONE IS DEAD. TRY A USB JIG OR GOTO SERVICE CENTER.
Third, WHO TOLD YOU TO USE ROM MANAGER?
Fourth, LIE TO SERVICE CENTER TELLING THAT YOU WERE CHARGING YOUR PHONE AND IT TURNED OFF AND IT NEVER TURNED ON. DO NOT MENTION WORDS LIKE "BRICK","ROOT","ROM MANAGER".
Fifth, Welcome to the world of XDA Developers. DO read the threads with a pin icon in front (A.K.A Sticky)

I never understand, that people who buys a new device, why don't read something about it??? Before I buy my Ace, I read a lot about it, I knew, that it's prohibited to use Rom Manager on Ace... There's a lot of info about it...
Another lost to the dark side of rom manager. Rip the poor thing.
Firstly..CWM ROM Manager?
and ROM manger for partition? all you needed was the CWM Recovery.
We have stickies here for a reason and if you dont read them, do not create new threads when you have problems..

This actually happened to my phone. Is it a known fault? Is there a way to repair it without taking it to a service centre 30 miles away?
Your device wont turn on?
I wonder why?
Perhaps its got something to do with the fact that you have broken your device into pieces. Not literally but oh well u get the point.

- wait (n pray maybe ) until download mode appear
hope it can help you..:fingers-crossed:

Try to run in compatibility mode with xp ... Got windows enabler on ?
i think the guide there at step 7 is a bit wrong. how can you disable the phone and flash the rom ? if the pc cant "see" the machine connected , is it even possible ? ...
it didnt work. when i installed the usb drivers the windows couldnt recognise the phone. i switched the driver from mobile to portable something. i had only 2 available choices at the manage section if i didnt check to show compatible only machines. after switching to that driver... ( curse windows and their bugs ) , automatically switched back to mobile.... and my phone was connected to my pc....after that i continued with the flash rom and now its back working. Thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im new to android. i has iphone since years.

i think the guide there at step 7 is a bit wrong. how can you disable the phone and flash the rom ? if the pc cant "see" the machine connected , is it even possible ? ...
it didnt work. when i installed the usb drivers the windows couldnt recognise the phone. i switched the driver from mobile to portable something. i had only 2 available choices at the manage section if i didnt check to show compatible only machines. after switching to that driver... ( curse windows and their bugs ) , automatically switched back to mobile.... and my phone was connected to my pc....after that i continued with the flash rom and now its back working. Thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im new to android. i has iphone since years.

[Q] Bricked Z1.. please help

Hello all,
I recently installed Mondified (4.2.2 version) to my Z1, and then last night had a sudden urge to upgrade to a 4.3 or 4.4 based custom ROM.
I first copied the custom ROM zip file to USB, then used an OTG cable to plug into my Z1. I then did a factory wipe, so I could install the ROM, but then received an error while installing.
I then decided to go back to stock using the FlashTool provided by Sony, so installed everything (drivers, flashtool etc...), and reboot my phone. Now I cannot go into the recovery mode, and I also cannot flash my Z1, because it is caught in a boot loop.
What can I do from here? I cannot type in the ADB commands, since it's in an eternal recovery loop, and I also cannot access the custom recovery for some reason... I recently bricked my HTC One, and now I'm fearing the worst
Hello there. You said bootloop, didn't you? Fortunately, you're a bit lucky here. The device just refuse to boot, which mean you can flash kernel from fastboot. First question, do you feel a vibration after long press power + volume up button? Do see red led flashing?
Sent from my C6903 using Tapatalk
Hi, it goes from "SONY" --> reboot --> "SONY" like that over and over. I deleted the OS (factory wipe), but for some reason I cannot go into recovery mode.
When I long press power + volume up, I get 3 vibrations, but no lights or led flashing. Right now it's not even showing the "SONY" logo.
Thank you,
John
-On a side note-
I am willing to send $100 to whoever can fix my Z1, and another $100 to whoever can help fix my HTC One. If the same person helps to fix both phones, I'd be willing to pay him/her $250 USD total (all via paypal gift)
I work at a fortune 500 company so my word is my promise, plus I would be negating a lot of monetary loss if I cannot resolve the brick issue!

Ok, you have flashtool don't you? Last time you flashed your phone, the flashtool recognized your device don't it?
Anyway, if you need fast conversation let me know (send me PM). I'll give my contact you. So we can communicate faster.

Hi, I randomly tried something, and it worked (last time the flashtool could not recognize my phone). basically instead of Power + Volume up, I pressed the softkey "back" button, and plugged in the USB cable. The flashtool was able to recognize my phone and I fixed it !!!!
Omegahanggara, can you help fix my HTC One? I saw your PM and just wondering... if you can, I would still be willing to send you the $100
Thanks!

Basically, I did a very stupid thing.
First: I had a custom ROM installed (Android version 4.3)
Second: I decided to upgrade to Kitkat 4.4 via OTA.... I used to be an Apple user, and it was much simpler with iphones... Naturally this was a big mistake.
Symptom: The phone is stuck at Google Logo. BTW, this is the HTC One Google Play Edition. The one thing that gives me hope, is when I boot the phone and press Power button + Volume Down, I'm taken to the bootloader menu. However, I have trouble getting my computer to recognize the device, when I try to push a custom recovery to my phone. (I forget how I deleted the custom recovery, but it's not there anymore)
Have you tried to another computer? Using Linux is a good choice if your PC didn't recognize your device.

Hmm I have CentOS running on VMplayer, maybe I'll try to see if it will recognize it from there, and let you know.
Good to know you're using Linux. This will not too hard, then

Can you connect your phone to your PC and open a terminal on your centos, and type there "lsusb" (without quotes). Then post the results here. We'll see that your centos can really discover your phone.

Try to find any stock kernel with recovery mode, like CWM. Then flash it via fastboot.

If you really don't know your Google password, then you have to factory reset it.
Just hold the Volume Up + Power until it vibrates, then use the volume buttons to select the factory reset option.

I can't test it since I have a custom recovery. That should work though. Let go when the menu pops up.
EDIT: The phone needs to be off first.

Repairing using pccompanion wipes data anyway, its the same as flashing a firmware
You do not need an unlocked bootloader or root for either.

Thanks guys for all the respons.
First i have to say that you can't accesses the PC Companion at all when the screen lock is on because you cant accesses the phone's memory at all then i also comes a window on PC companion telling me to unlock the phone because it can't connect to it.
So thats not working.
I've tried pushing all the buttons combination's on the phone to get into recovery mode or hard reset mode, but that docent work either.
I'm not really super bright on this cind of stuff so now i found a swedish page that do these kind of stuffs and send it to them.
When i get my phone back and if it works i'm gonna write all the info how they made it work again.
Again thanks for the effort to trying to solve this and please if you have any more solutions keep posting them.
Mate connect the phone to flashtool and see does it say that u have usb debugging on...make sure u have the drivers installed...btw u don't need to turn the phone off or anything just connect and see...if it says it's on then just flash it with flashtool and that's it
