Dirty Unicorns (DU) is a custom ROM originally based off AOKP but now OMNI-ROM, brings you a great mix of stability and customization. The idea to start a ROM like this was purely out of boredom but later turned into a form of an addiction, a good one. We began to have fun while still doing things the right way. By doing so, we received high praise from not only our users but by fellow developers of other ROMs that enjoy seeing things done the right way. This ROM will always be free of charge without any strings attached or any of it's developers luring you into donating or any form of "pay to flash".
"Give credit and thanks where is due!" That's something that has fuel the way we do things! With that said, we would like to go ahead and credit those individuals and groups that have made this ROM possible with their original code and contributions to the Android community.....
| Omni-ROM | AOKP | ChaOS | Paranoidandroid | SlimROMs | Preludedrew | Official Testers / Translators |
Believe it or not, we are human and we do forget things. If we have left someone out of the credit/thanks list, just PM us and we'll gladly add on to the list.

- Flash it and reboot
- Once the ROM boots, reboot back into recovery
- Flash the recommend GAPPS and ENJOY!!
- WIPE SYSTEM DATA CACHE AND DALVIK. IF YOU DO NOT PLEASE DO NOT REPORT ISSUES

- No torch / torch quicksetting (My mistake, will be fixed next build)
The below issues are G2 specific and have nothing to do with the Rom
-Titanium backup / certain root permission lag (Power on and off screen to fix)
- Bluetooth power up lag (Power on and off screen to fix)

LG G2
GAPPS
SuperSu flash to root, I will find a way around this soon
***********IMPORTANT - READ***************
*** This is how I will be doing my roms from now as it so much easier for me to build and upload once than 6 different times. I will update my roms much more often this way.
EVERY variant will flash the same rom. You will then flash your device specific patch immediately after the rom. Don't worry about having to constantly download new patches, you wont. The patches will usually remain the same for every build unless I'm fixing a bug or something in them, or there is a kernel update.
If you forget to flash the patch after you flash the rom, you will have to manually reboot into recovery .***

Just a reminder for everyone, please wipe everything before installing this rom (or any rom)
System,Data,Dalvik,Cache
If you do not it causes issues and makes it hard for the dev's to figure out real issues
Before reporting any issue at all, please make 100% sure you have wiped everything except internal storage. I know these roms work because I had users test every variant with proper wipes.

Giving a shot. New to lg so this might be my first stop

Looks great! Downloading now

Getting the omni cam to build from source was a pain and took most of a day because they haven't modified it to build the G2 correctly, but everything should be working good with it now :good:
I need to fix all that off center text in the OP :good:

yesss i was going to port this over for personal use from the N5 forum, no need now xD

Just curious...
Does this have theme changer?

No not yet. But Mazda said the other day its definitely coming. Right now TRDS is there though.

Sick ROM.. Only thing that don't work is the rear button led

Downloaded and flashed. Upon boot, theme changer kept force closing and couldn't get to setup screen. Idk if it is still uploading or a bug. Can't wait to try. Had to restore Mahdi rom

Theme changer isn't in this rom so I'm confused about how it can force close.
Did you not full wipe everything but internal storage?
For everyone please do not report issues if you do not full wipe :good:

I did a full wipe, wiped three times before installing. I'm re downloading and trying again. I'm using TWRP. I always do advanced wipe. Wipe data, Cache, and Dalvik Cache three times before installing. Maybe just a bad download on my end.

Also wipe system, not sure if you didn't wipe it or just forgot to mention it. If you didn't wipe system this would cause it 100%
I had to remove format system line from the updater script as it has that hang on format problem, so the system isn't formatted on install.

That's it then hah. I checked everything in advanced wipe but system which is the problem. Version of twrp I'm using doesn't have the system option. I'll flash cwm and try again.

I talked to the OP and I'm guessing he would have to repo sync and compile a fresh build. That issue was fixed a while ago

Downloading now. Will give it a try. Just one question do you know why I don't get LTE ever, even when I am using hybrid radio and 4G Sim and I am on LTE coverage area. Its kind of off- topic but just wanted to ask. Will give feedback after using this ROM.

Thanks for your efforts, and I don't want to misvalue your work but we already have an advanced nexus 5 PORT. Are you going to set up some advanced settings or something like that in this rom? Are you going to add more features?

This is not a port, it is based on the Nexus 4 Factory Image but bringing the user experience of the Nexus 5 and integrated root on rooted version. My idea is to easy the installation of a rom without flashing other zip files with the bootloader and radio, mods to get Nexus 5 transparency and launcher or root. To help users with less experience on flashing files. And I'm always updating it with the latest GAPPS to get less space in the internal storage.

Hi, I've installed the rooted version (no LTE) and now it hangs on first boot.
Wipe data/cache + dalvik and installed as usual.

I tested it over 30 times, including'm using this version because it does not have LTE here! And had no error on first boot. Try to reinstall again and post the results. See if you're using TWRP, if you unmount the system partition.

No, this no have it. This has only applications that comes stock on the Nexus 5 but nothing is ported from this.
This looks cool. I am as well running the nexus 5 port. Will switch to this one only if I have sufficient reasons. Perhaps if the answers to my questions are all in yes
1. Can we enable ART?
2. Does titanium backup and whatsapp work with ART enabled?

ART is working on both versions. But Whatsapp and Titanium Backup doesn't support ART for now. But I'm already uploading the Release 1.1 with Dalvik Library updated from Moto X and ART Library updated to allow installation of Whatsapp. Wait a few minutes.

Are there any plans on making a deodexed version?

I know there is probably not much to do about it, and this is not to complain at all but: When I see a stock xt926 like this (and in particular when 4.4. comes) I tend to wish that could run it on my XT925. I know there supposedly is some pacth to make it work, and maybe I will try that some day. But so far I am hesitant. I don't they are serious but I believe I have seen people having problems with that patch thus wishing for a true xt925 stock rom. Maybe some day. In the mean time, Contratz to RageTeam and happy flashing for all xt926 users

Experiencing two issues. The gapps stop and force closes on startup and will not allow to download or update apps and second the browser will not open. Any thought?
I have wiped everything before and after install and I even went back and fixed permissions in SS.
Running this rom on my HD with safestrap. It installed fine with no glitches... any ideas?

I also have an unlocked bootloader.
I had ValidUS 4.4.2 KK on it and had to restore it back to stock 4.1.2.
I followed the instructions and it loaded in just a few minutes.
All I have to do now is set up the phone.

4.4.2, but that didn't look right when I was making the banner. I put 4.4 trying to cover that too

We don't have an external SD slot.
Just use this:
"I accidentally wiped everything including the internal SD!"
Code:
adb sideload
Also, don't know if you manage the site, but if you give me a quick list of additional non-CM features, I can make it look neat for the Features page.

Hi @vedantgp,
I have run this great CyanFox Rom for the last 12 hours, it run good overall (except for rotation as mentioned). Very smooth.
Thanks.
I've installed this ROM and it's good but it gets laggy at times and just the rotation, since I love watching video using my phone, it's not favorable. Hehe, well. I'm willing to wait for the fix and will try to get back on it! Thanks for great ROM!

You need to update your recovery in order flash KitKat ROMs. The latest CWM (6.0.4.3) or Philz are the only two that will do it . I recommend Philz.

Actually i think is the best one i have tryed till now.
I have v.2.0.2.
Single problem is the rotate function which works and not
But i have seen that is up a Experimental one launched in 16.01.2014!
Did anyone tryed it? What does bring new?
This is working great for me, the audio is no problem at all. I listen to hell lot of songs. Battery life is great. Yes, occasional lag is expected.

SlimRoms is a custom android operating system. The main goal is to offer users a slimmed down but still feature rich alternative to other android operating systems.
The entire SlimTeam work together to bring you this tailor-made beauty straight from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) source code.
All of the sources can be publicly viewed through GitHub and you can stop by the public Gerrit to submit patches of any type.
SlimLP is currently in alpha / beta stage, some custom features are already in place, but much much more is planned for the future.

Amazing rom! There isn't any noticeable bugs that I can see, multitask is a beast, and battery life so far lasts about the whole day using about 2% battery per hour. I used your pink kernel with intelliplug on. The only thing that seems to not work is changing the governor. It always switches back to interactive. Other than that, very impressive for an alpha build! THANK YOU!

No. But if you're coming from CM a data wipe is needed likely which is why you're probably in a bootloop. CM 11 --> CM12 should be fine with data. CM11 --> other lollipop based roms = most likely a bootloop.

Im coming from the original ROM, with root and some mods from Xposed... Did a wipe factory (TWRP), installed ROM and then Gapps, First time took more than 10 minutes to boot and nothing.
Now I did wipe cache, data, dalvik and system, then reinstalled everything... Again it is taking more than 10 minutes to boot.... I will wait more 10... lets see, hope it boots!!!
update: 22 minutes waiting, I guess it will not boot... any ideas?
Thanks guys!

I first flashed an unofficial build of cm12 (before the issue of builds needing to have cm 11 installed first) then let it boot, then after that go back to recovery and install SlimPL
Took 5-10mins to boot

Thanks, its is "upgrading" right now, what I did was get a CM 11 (pacman Rom) installed it , rebooted and flash Slim ans Gapps...
Now I just got a process com.android.phone has stopped...
lets see... Thanks
Edit: Telephone not working... cannot make call or use data and clock not working as well. installed CM 11 and CM12 and them Slim and same problem happened... CM12 working fine
After installing cm12 unofficial, i just did the normal wiping process dalvik data dalvik cache system & factory reset, then it booted

For now I will try CM12 and when I get some more time I will try to use Slim again, need my phone working to work
Thanks guys! if someone come with some solution I will be glad to try...:good:
I flashed this kernel & it stopped mine sticking on the slim booting logo
Just flashed the Jan 11 build(with basketbuild 5.0 gapps), seems pretty solid.
Noticed a few things, though:
There's no outgoing/incoming indicator for network activity for Wifi and Data(the arrow up/down on their respective icons)
Total display seems zoomed out a bit? In a nice way
Carrier name on lockscreen is a little to the center, shouldn't it be on the left?
Camera's not working for me, even google camera(freezes upon capturing a photo, though can swipe from left to bring up a menu)
AudioFX isn't working for me, tried playing around but couldn't get it to work with Google Play Music, can't really tell if it's the player or AudioFX as there's no stock Music player to try on
Superuser out of the box is not working, though flashing SuperSU 2.40 worked.
Had a random reboot while playing video, probably nothing
Other than what was mentioned, really enjoying this rom and already planning on using it was my daily driver. Cheers!
Great ROM over all. Got a few issues:
1. When you try to import contacts from a backup on the phone it crashes the import (finding file via file manager then opening that way works fine)
2. When I use camera it will take pictures no problem but wont save them. Also when you press the back button when camera is open it won't close. Have press home for it to close. Does this on other camera apps and other lollipop builds so maybe a cm12 issue.
3. When enabling the dark theme in messages it doesn't do anything (cm12 issue would say)
I flashed cleanly per the instructions.
Would be nice to be able to change battery icon and have a clear all under open apps option but these are just extras can love without.
Thanks for your had work so far

Nice to see another build of Beanstalk!
May I ask you if it's possible to dirty flash Beanstalk over CM? And if the bugs of theme engine and finger print are still present in this ROM?
Thank you very much for your work.

I brought the code for Beanstalk even with CM Beta2. You don't have to dirty flash, you just need to delete your existing fingerprint enrollments before clean flashing. The same will be true for all ROMs built on my source until otherwise stated...
You can dirty flash if you want but you'll probably have to fix Theme Chooser by deleted that Themes.db file....
New build is live!
Will try immediately after my inet provider fix their fking services.
Just tried this, flashed over previous CM build, everyhting works awesomely, even with xposed.
The camera works and looks better than stock to me for some reason. Performance is better than expected, no lag. This is just awesome.
The only problem that persists is that if I keep my music on my SD card, when I go to the music app and create playlist, the playlists empty themselves after a reboot.
Can confirm working on NEM-L21
I noticrd that Notification and QS drawer don't get themed, I know it is a small thing bit I thought to report it.

I did. Please read my post. Otherwise I would have not been able to register my print in CM. In CM it works fine. But in BeanStalk it won't let me. Even after removing the print in CM before flashing.
I don't really mind because I don't need a clean flash. And it is also a known issue so let's not discuss it further. Just wanted to let people know that if they have the same issue, they might want to consider a dirty flash.

Yeah, but after flashing the ROM you must reboot to recovery again (if recovery ask you a password just cancel it), then do a factory reset because EMUI's data is encrypted (that's why it ask you a password). After this data wipe you should be able to boot the phone.

2) flash ROM and Gapps
3) reboot to recovery
4) wipe data
