i've test it in my new ROM (not released yet) its working perfect, maybe need to fresh install with rom using CWM recovery, can anyone try wipe data after installing browser? But please backup before you do that, its screenshot taken from JB 4.3

Just wiped the data of browser nd still FC
You can use or search android browser at playstore and dl it for free. Tried it and its working great.
thanks rizal lovins for the Sony browser, but I have some visualization problems with it (dunno if it is because I deleted some important apps from system or what else), for example when I type something in the bar and search for it.. the visualization is bad.. please see the attachments.. does it happens for you guys too? what it can be? (no changes after enabling destop view mode)
also, if for you guys the browser is working, can you tell me if clicking on a xda link for example, if it asks you to open the link throught tapatalk, or it opens it with the browser automatically with no different choices? thanks!

I have problems with "desktop view" mode with android browser from playstore.. does it work for you? (for example open a phone specs page from gsmarena, then switch to desktop view, it will stay the same.. )

I believe some of the apks (quite a few) also require some framework files to work at all, SystemUI for example does not work on it's own.

Yea, odex file are meant to be stored in /system/app but it's odexed, so I might not work, I happens to me everytime.
hey op don't you think that we should rename be_album to be_photo ? Our ray uses be_photo and it's meant to be stored in /system/etc

The apk will be within the zip so you can just extract it then manually push it into /system/app using an explorer like root explorer. You will obviously have to be rooted for this or a signed apk will have to be made so you can do a regular install.

Sorry kind of rushed that post, you need to set permissions to rw-r--r-- or 644 which I'm guessing you already did and then reboot your phone for it to take effect properly. This is what I've always done on all my phones and tends to work.
One thing I'm wondering, is it named the same or different to the existing app? Maybe it's a conflict if you have both still there?
I don't actually have the phone so just going off previous experience as always served me well.

to get a fully working album app, extract the libraries from "album.apk/lib" with your zip explorer and copy them manually to root/system/lib folder
no need to replace if asked, set 644 permissions as usual

pd. it seems to be an issue from the flashable zip that only contains 2 of those libs, but i'm just a novice on things like recovery, special thanks to Till-Kruspe for his useful contributions

Uh, everything = all of the apps.
I already listed how, I moved the relevant files to /system/app/, /system/lib/ and /system/framework/ and set permissions.
At least it worked, thanks all!
BTW, every time I restart my phone, I get "Android is Updating" "Optimizing Apps" window. Not a big deal but it's a long boot each time...
I think I won't shut it anymore...
Should only happen once for the dalvik cache...

i found that when we install sony media apps, proximity sensor will not work,,and i dont know how to fix it, so i suggest only install walkman player and clear audio, if u want walkman player with sound enhancements

for status bar keyboard i think no prob, because i made it..but for walkman and launcher, i dont know..so far, i try all this mod, no prob with proximity sensor..

in cwm, u need to unmount system..
Sorry for the noob question but I imagine to install the UI elements (such as the lockscreen and status bar) I'd need to flash it through CWM recovery which would make future updating to stock firmware harder (OTA) and would wipe my current data right?

if u flash the status bar and lockscreen, it will not wipe ur data, and of course u need to flash it through cwm..sorry, if i dont answer ur question, i dont get what u are trying to explain, or my english is really bad..sorry

please uninstall the AR effect or delete(via Root Explorer...etc.) the apk from system/app (or) data/app
now download and normal install the AR effect apk and all the 6 themes :good:
NOTE: if u update ur ar effect without deleting the original/previous ar effect then you will get Invalid Sign Application error in the second use or after a day

u should install latest ar-effect first then u are able to install those themes
u must uninstall the ported ar-effect otherwise u can not use the official version

it dose not need to sign. it is from google play why it need signing?
ar-effect will be defaultly installed in /data/app/
and themes will be dafaulty installed in external sd card if it exists
u signed and failed, then have u checked that sony's original signatures still there?

I had this problem too
Download AR-Effect from google play, it has no problem.
Basically this apk need normal install to make it work,move to system/app never work but this is the what everyone need because it is a part of system app. So it need sign correctly.

The original file was taken from Z2 system dump. Not so smooth, may be due to our phone's low hardware spec...
Tested only on OmniROM 4.4 for TX. Not sure if it works on other ROMs
ADD: If you encounter FC on stock 4.3, try this tip provided by Rizal Lovins: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53943578&postcount=18
Or you can try removing all previous versions (/data and /system) and put this APK in /system/app, chmod 644 (rw--r--r--) .

FC or runs without ribbons? Have you tried copying it to /system/app and chmod as OP says? (See #11)
Thank you for the answer! Copied to system/app and changed permissions and then I also wiped cache and dalvik...
But can't see the ribbons!
It's very strange because as I wrote some days ago, on stock 4.3 and xposed all was perfect!

If the custom ROM has the unmodified version of this live wallpaper built-in, it may replace this modded one. You can try removing this xperia_wallpaper.apk from your device(/data/app and /system/app) and then reboot. After that, use System Tuner Pro or something similar to find and uninstall the built-in one. Then you can put this into /system/app and have a try.

I was only searching in system/app and I never thought about data/app!
After uninstalling and deleting all the apks, I wiped cache and dalvik and then the live wallpaper with waves appeared!

Okay just want to tell people that this Live Wallpaper is using Google Signer, so you need to patch services.jar (disable checking signature/Super User Mod) for Stock Firmware, so Live Wallpaper can work without any problem ( and use Latest Xperia Home for smoothness Live Wallpaper)
If still doesn't work edit the build.prop
