*** As always - Flash on our own risk! ***
Make sure you flash the correct version depending on your firmware version!
I can and will not take any responsibility for bricked phones or lost data.
It is generally recommended to run a complete Nandroid backup in CWM recovery and safely store your personal data before you flash a new kernel.
Cheers and enjoy

If you are on old modem yes but on new ones I haven't tested because I'm stuck on old modem efs v1.
If you have efs v2 you can flash the official one of Lord Boeffla.

What is the difference between the SE for Android status: Enforcing, Permissive and Disabled?
Enforcing — SE for Android is enforcing the loaded policy. Your device is actively protected from security threats and malicious apps will be denied access.
Permissive — The SE for Android policy file is loaded, but your device is not enforcing it. If a malicious app tries to access a resource that it is not allowed to, the access will be logged but not prevented. This mode is intended for testing and debugging. It generates log files of denied app and allows Samsung to identify new app threats and update its policy files.
Disabled — The SE for Android infrastructure is not enabled, and there is no policy file loaded. Log files are not generated and your system is vulnerable to security threats.
To find out how to check a device’s SE for Android status (formerly called SELinux status), see the KNOX User Guide on the KNOX web portal > Resources tab. You cannot change this setting.

This kernel is based on the latest TheAceKernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1606352 from skynet28. Big thanks to him.
FEATURES:
- most of TheAceKernel features
- battery driver made by LibiSC
- some improvements in idle support for ARM
- overlocked AHB clock at 800,768,729Mhz (improved graphic performance I think)
- some changes in net stack
- improved jhash
- patched lowmemorykiller from zImage-Mod (but it is still compatible witch memory tweaks scripts)
- kernel compression changed to XZ
- default governor is smartassV2 and removed lulzactive (doesn't works for me and made errors in dmesg)
- small changes in smartassV2
- partly disable vsync (I hope)
Hope that's all, my memory isn't good.

FAQ:
- For ROM developers, if you need the boot.img run form adb:
Code:
adb pull /tmp/boot.img
Or use qtadb, this is only way to get boot.img, and don't ask my for this on PM!
Changelog:
- update kgsl driver from teamhacksung
- update some arch specific files from teamhacksung too
- some other patches from teamhacksung (sensors, dram etc.).
29.05.2012
- screen of profile in the kernel, now when you turn of you screen you max cpu clock will by set to 320Mhz and min to 120Mhz! And when you turn it up it goes back to old clock! No need to use SetCPU screen of profile! Kernel based screen of profile is much faster and doesn't lag! Note: if you get lagy music when screen of that means you have to heavy EQ, disable it or use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1653140 works good without lag if you don't use REV or VR. Works witch any govenor
- small changes in smartassV2
Note about the update - I don't know why, but for my something sets after boot always ondemand as governor, I tried to add script to set smartassV2 as default but this doesn't work (strange), but you can easy set witch for example SetCPU/No-frills CPU Control.
31.05.2012
- create version for official CM
- update Samsung internal storage drivers and wifi driver
- new locale version
- clean up init scripts in ramdisk
- ondemand on boot bug should be fixed
4.06.2012
- finally disable vsync
- adjustable screen off profile, you can write a simple script to adjust the profile like this:
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
echo "122880" > /sys/module/cpufreq/parameters/min_screenoff_frequency
echo "245760" > /sys/module/cpufreq/parameters/max_screenoff_frequency
Put into /system/etc/init.d/ and set permission, you can name it for example s99screenoff, you turn of the profile by writing this script:
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
echo "0" > /sys/module/cpufreq/parameters/screenoff
- updates in zlib, vmalloc and kgsl
- update LibiSC battery driver
07.06.12

- disable optimaztion for size
- optimaztion level changed to O3
- force to load module when not match version magic (no need to use kernel prefix -CLXXXX...)
- enabled memory compaction
- kernel uses mem{cpy,set}() for {copy_to,clear}_user()
28.08.2012
- battery driver back to 23.06 version witch some changes (should fix fast drop down under 20%)
- update sources to 2.6.35.14
- changes in RCU subsystem
- changes in mempolicy and ashmem

Hi dragonn!!
I'm really happy to see that you're making your own kernel! I'll install it right away!
Just 2 questions, can i use it with last CM7 RC3 with everything working (especially the proximity sensor)? and is it updated (CL882825)?
Thank you man!

Great news, wonderful to see you carry on the great work of ketut, an0nym0us and skynet28 — this evolving Ace kernel is really a perfect example of how great open-source really is!!!

I meant that in last kolja's build, the kernel is this one: 2.6.35.7-perf-CL882825. Other builds had a lower CL number (I can't remember which one) and it seems that this newer kernel is faster and less battery hungry.
So I just asked if you based your kernel in this last one or in the older ones (like ketut's I think).
Thank you very much! I'll test it ASAP!

nice..
finally u compiled your own kernel.
btw the CL882825 and CL562111 is just kernel localversion, those numbers doesnt mean one is newer than another. samsung tends to replace kernel localversion for every gb rom updates, but it probably uses the same source.

It does make sense so i'll flash last vo-1's build to be able to enjoy your kernel!
Just one last question: I see that there are no files inside lib/modules in your kernel so, do I have to install TheAceKernel first (it has those files) and then yours?
Thank you very much again!

Kowalski Kernel for CM10/ CM10.1 - Stable release (SU660)
This kernel supports the old bootloader only, modified to Optimus 2x su660 so I made this post to update users from the kernel by kowalski. I personally tried the kernels myself and I can assure you it's 101% working. I tried hard testing different kernels and I found this working great. Note: Kernel Kowalski still in the process of updating so, we are hoping for new updates soon.
I do not credit myself for this marvel work.
Keys all working this includes all. (Menu, Home, Back, Power and Volume rockers)

CAM (Constantly Awake Mode)
Keeps the client adapter powered up continuously so there is little lag in message response time.
Consumes the most power but offers the highest throughput. Is recommended for desktop computers and devices that use AC power.
Fast PSP (Power Save Mode)
Switches between PSP mode and CAM mode, depending on network traffic. This mode switches to CAM when retrieving a large number of packets and switches back to PSP after the packets have been retrieved.
Is recommended when power consumption is a concern but you need greater throughput than that allowed by Max PSP.
Max PSP (Max Power Savings)
Causes the access point to buffer incoming messages for the client adapter, which wakes up periodically and polls the access point to see if any buffered messages are waiting for it. The adapter can request each message and then go back to sleep.
Conserves the most power but offers the lowest throughput. Is recommended for devices for which power consumption is the ultimate concern (such as small battery-powered devices).
Source will be pushed to my github about 2 or 3 days after a release, to make sure that no major bugs are introduced in the public repository.
This kernel can be compiled with any gcc 4.6.X that supports graphite loop optimizations, so if you want to compile it by yourself you'll have either to build your own toolchain (for example using crosstool-ng), or use one of the many linux prebuilt ones (for example Linaro or CodeSourcery). Make sure they're 4.6.X. Earlier versions may complain a lot and generate and unstable kernel. Please test it thoroughly before releasing it with your rom.

Old bootloader kernel? Most freezes came up with regarding to voltages settings or either the governors and I/O, try playing with different settings and find out what's works best for you. I haven't any encountered such freezes at the moment.

Thanks for this ..the apps were a nice touch ! Kernel is working great
I've managed to squeeze a lil bit more battery out of phone and decrease the heat output (my phone was heating up bad) by lowering the default clock of the GPU. doesn't decrease performance at all (that I notice). new build coming Monday

Best Xposed modules you can have for this phone are xrenamer, sense 6 lockscreen mods, xsense and sense 6 toolbox. But in s6 toolox, you have to enable AOSP recent apps picker or you'll get constant android.media force closes.
Question:
Are there any certain necessary steps/precautions I have to take to flash this kernel using Flashify? My comp's broke so I gotta flash it that way
Edit:
Just flashed with Flashify, and my front facing camera still works!! So does my wifi, data, and as far as I can tell, everything else!!
But I don't have any of the embedded apps in my /System/app or data/app folders. Am I looking in the wrong /app folder possibly?
Are you sure it flashed correctly?

Nope just rebooted and it didn't flash. My bad.
I somehow lost my recovery by flashing with Flashify. Guess I gotta find a computer and re-flash twrp...
I think I flashed the kernel to recovery partition.
Edit:
Re-flashed my recovery, flashed the kernel with Flashify, and it worked this time, since I flashed as a boot img not recovery img this time.
FFC seems to be the only thing not working
OK, let me know if you have any other issues

* This is my Kernel from osprey (moto g3). this may not have much features as compared to my first kernel release bcz that is for qcom and in exynos i cant do much BUT ill try to maintain main thing which is common. i.e battery life
* osprey: http://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/orig-development/firekernel-v1-0-mm-6-0-x-roms-t3401538
* This is for single sim exynos galaxy note 3 neo.
* Compatible with all the custom roms.
* Can work for stock rom too but one thing will not work that is USB PC connection bcz i have edited the files for cm so..
* Its still using google GCC, will test uber GCC if that seems stable ill cook and give here.
* Well not much features but but.. ill upstream till 3.4.112 one Day!
* As always i dont own note 3 neo but i like to make stuff for it. Thanks to my testers 3g and 4g both.
It's very nice to see this Kernel coming from our osprey. It's the nice kernel for Osprey. Hope it's smooth & stable like osprey for exynos too
Huge kudos for you to work on 'Exynos' like SoC. Best of luck.
Thank you for your dedicated work brother. Appreciate it, and keep it up ?✌?

Good job m8.
Does it feature the CPU overclock?
What is the difference between Standard and Alternative version? I know there says what is the difference but I want to know how will that affect phone. And which is better for battery life? And why no extra governors? Just curious. Anyways thanks for your hard work! Flashed the Alternative version and no problems so far
Edit: Tried installing Standard version, now the Hotplug menu in Kernel Adiutor is gone, that's intended right?
Edit2: I have a problem, sometimes my phone gets stuck and I have to reboot pressing power button for like 10 seconds. Also happenned that it was locked and led was blinking but I couldnt unlock the phone, black screen. Also happenned since I installed this kernel.

I'm still thinking about putting extra governors. You went from Alternative to Standard, right? Then no, it shouldnt be gone. I must've done a typo in the updater-script (actually, i did just that, but fixed - hopefully - in R2). And about your phone locking up, could you send me a log or something? (Preferably dmesg)
Kernels updated to R2. Yeah, I skipped R1-N. It was built but i forgot to upload it. It had a messed-up installer script anyway.

It does support it via Filesystem in Userspace (FUSE). But the ROM must have an exFAT FUSE driver, and be able to actually recognise and mount USB sticks or memory cards formatted to the exFAT filesystem. CM and its derivatives/forks fulfill both requirements, whilst the stock firmware fulfills neither (even if you install fuse-exfat binaries, your USB stick or memory card won't automount because the version of vold which is shipped within the stock firmware doesn't support exFAT - you'll have to mount it manually via command line).
I've tried to implement exFAT support by using a kernel driver, but it didn't work well. That was a long time ago
Why did you remove the overclock? Which version has overclocked?

Kernel Auditor is your friend
@Kamin4ri, I found on your AFH dev page the R4 version of this kernel, build date January 31, a bit old & not posted here, yet. Thinking of flashing it on my peregrine running RR N 5.8.2, is it safe enough ?
Since you haven't posted it here, I thought it maybe an experimental kernel & not stable enough.
