Those who think 27 Mhz is useless and does nothing... Yeah the apps need min of 384 Mhz but when cell is ideal it can save a lot of battery..
here is a formula for Consumption (Got it from ak's Thread Thanks to him):-
A: The formula for power consumption is: P = f * c * V ^ 2
Where: P = power consumption, f = frequency, c = capacitance and V = voltage
So: since c is constant in this case, and we'll assume you've used the lowest UV possible (600mV)
At 304mhz: P = 304 * c * 600 ^ 2
At 192mhz: P = 192 * c * 600 ^ 2
This means that 304mhz uses approximately 1.58 times more power than 192mhz over the same time.

Looks like most everything is working, but the screen is too blue! Am I doing something wrong? Tried setting colors to default in Trickster mod, and while it looks like it works in-app, other apps are still tinged blue. On CM11.

this kernel is for Aosp based roms only.. It won't work on CAF based cm11 rom.. that's the reason of these weird colors

Strange not got any of these issues......not the kernel issue...
Must be a ROM issue...try reflashing.....n this kernel is for aosproms only..
Has any1 else got this problem...

I've got another problem actually. Can't flash the new kernel at all, completely stuck in a bootloop. I tried a clean flash, I'm on PSX's new rom, it's really close to stock.

[Q] Comparable Benchmark

Hey guys, what do you think, is a better benchmark, than quadrant?
Since it delivers pretty much different results, depending on e.g. how often you are running it.
So I was wondering, if there is a more compareable/relieable benchmark for our phone
antutu is the best in my opinion
I also use antutu.
I use 2 Quadrants (advanced and Standard), which the values are ~3100 with Advanced and ~2100 with Standard. I´m using Zeus Rom V3.2n with Smartass2 Governor and with Deadline I/O (stock one).
I've become a fan of antutu mainly because it had a more detailed output until now.
Why i can´t overclock the OB from the tool of antutu? Is there something missing?

There is oc support missing for the kernel, huexxx will have to build it in, if he wants to, but i guess it will be one of the last steps ;-)

hum....allright...I´m not in a rush either, but i think it is a good bet for our OB, or not?

what 2D fps u get with zeus?
Iuse quadrant advanced and Zeus v3.2n. The best score I get is 3070.. governor smartass2. It is a pretty incredible Rom. In 2d I have 16-17 fps at all time.

Yea thats the problem... if i am on cm i get 22 fps in 2d and in zeus also 16~17 but i like speed so thats why i am on cm
I did not change i/o. I am going to try today with some changes.. as for the 2d maybe weshouldtry to find why cm is faster and inform huexxx about it. By the way except the 2d this is quite a fast Rom.. but quadrant gives pretty variable results.. take a look at this.same governor and i/o

And then 2 to enable or disable.
Fsync=file synchronizer and manager. If you have it off then you won't be able to send files through bluetooth.
By the way i tried antutu and i think it is more reliable. All my results were very close.

Oh my gosh.... 3000 for quadrant ? How did you guys do that ?
I use zeus V3,2n with smart ass v2 governor and Deadline for i/o
and i activated f sync
only got 1980 for 1st quadrant test
and 2300-something for 2nd quadrant test
and 2400- something for 3rd quadrant test...
do I have to re-test it over and over again with quadrant until I have the score 3000

3000 with fsync off. And it showed on my 3rd run. After that run i got 2900+ at every run.

All results around 2100. Impressive score for zeus 3.2n without patch and fsync off.

via my t679 runnin jb cm10 linaro kernel dbk
Just flashed. So far so good, running very nice!
Re: {Kernel} Powered By EVIL (JB 4.1) {OC/UV/GPU OC}
Ran quadrant and antutu Benches on both dbk and this kernel. Got higher marks in quadrant on this one but the 3d and 2d is lower than dbk. Under sgk I was able to oc to 1.8 and under dbk and this one max of 1.6 but I prefer the sio IO so I will play with this and try some other governers other than smoothass.
Thanks for the kernel and great work as always.

Re: {Kernel} Powered By EVIL (JB 4.1) {OC/UV/GPU OC}
My best setup through most IO and governers is IO - SIO governed - smartass v2 clocked @ 1.6

Re: {Kernel} Powered By EVIL (JB 4.1) {OC/UV/GPU OC}
Tried all combos and benches takes time for each. For those that are unaware the zen settings is more in tune to battery conservation as are a lot of the newer ones. Vr is for performance but deemed unstable and mainly used to achieve highest benches. SIO is performance and stable. Smoothass smartass v2 is performance based but battery conservative to a small extent.
And I like the new siggy as well.
Not to knock demons blood because it has its strong points as well. Demons blood does get high benches in graphics for whatever he did in his kernel.
If strong points of both were combined this kernel would turn the heads from all multi core users to gain insights as to what these 2 developers do and have done to try and enlist them into their development process.
Both developers rock and as for my ROM preference irx120 rocks as well. Great combination with either kernel to linero odexed.

DBK certainly has better graphics performance for whatever reason. But how much does that affect day to day use with no gaming? In what situations is 2D performance important?
Attached CM10-Linaro-Odex + DBK @ 1.5Ghz Smoothass V2 (CFQ I/O)
This phone with all the great developers has certainly out done what I expected from it, even after using the Nexus4 for a couple of weeks and having to return it due to a defect. I am doing fine waiting for new stock or maybe even the Galaxy S4.
curious?
Is everyone else getting the intellidemand gov on with the flash. I for some reason have flashed it three times wiped dalv and fixed permissions and still intellidemand isn't showing up. Which imo has worked best for my use of the phone.

you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

Features:
*This MOD will work on any ROM with init.d support*
Make your phones battery last much much longer with this MOD. This MOD basically sets two profiles for your device:
1. Awake State
2. Sleep State
When your phone is in AWAKE state:
Governor = performance
Max = 1000000
Min = 400000
When your phone is in SLEEP state:
Governor = powersave
Max = 300000
Min = 300000
So basically this MOD automatically changes governor,min & max freq depending on your phone's state which results in saving battery to a great extent.
NOTE:
For those with specific needs, here's how you can change the MOD as per your requirements:
1. Install the MOD
2. After installing, using any file explorer, navigate to /system/etc/init.d
3. Open 10topdroidbatterybooster as a text file
4. In the Blue Box edit:
AWAKE_GOVERNOR - The governor you want when the phone's screen is on
AWAKE_GOVERNOR_FREQENCY_MIN - The minimum frequency when the phone's screen is on
AWAKE_GOVERNOR_FREQENCY_MAX - The maximum frequency when the phone's screen is on
5. In the Red Box edit:
SLEEP_GOVERNOR - The governor you want when the phone's screen is off
SLEEP_GOVERNOR_FREQENCY_MAX - The minimum frequency when the phone's screen is off
SLEEP_GOVERNOR_FREQENCY_MIN - The maximum frequency when the phone's screen is off
6. Save the file. DO NOT EDIT ANYTHING ELSE.
7. Reboot
Installation:
1. Download the zip file on your phone
2. Reboot your device into Recovery Mode
3. Install the zip file
4. Reboot

This mod sounds awesome. But can't you make one that activates only when going to sleep? I want my phone with zzmoove at a max of 1.400MHz. Otherwise, the idea is amazing. Have you seen this somewhere, or it is your invention? If it is yours, you have all my respect. Maybe in the future you will make an app where you will be able to set the values (to make it compatible with more Android phones ).

+1 to the 1400mhz at max and 200 to minimum awake and 300-300 when sleep. Great work mate

Just open the zip and edit 10topdroidbatterybooster with governor and frequencies you need.
You can do it with notepadd++

Please see the OP once again. For you guys I have written a Guide on how you can edit the MOD as per your wish.
And yes, I don't know anyone else who has developed such a MOD. I made this for i9003 and now for i9300. So enjoy!
Thanks

it did not make such difference for me. thank you for this mod anyway. i have one question. is it enough to just delete 10topdroidbatterybooster to revert back this settings?

Thanx for this mod i have installed it and i will report later
The mod made my phone shut down when in sleep mode. Also there's visible hiccups when turning screen on.

If you're having trouble turning the screen on, simply edit the file. Just increase the "SLEEP FREQUENCY MIN" AND "SLEEP FREQUENCY MAX".
The hiccups also depends on the ROM you're using and other things. But increase the freq of sleep state will solve your problem.

OK, i'll try later. I set it to pegasusq 1400000 when had the "bugs" (other parameters were defaults). On AOSB 1.3.6 and AOKP MS2, same results.
Great MOD , i will try Toady and give my feedback :good:
