About Carbon
CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev GitHub. and on our Gerrit CarbonDev Gerrit.

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

HALO is on the M8 now!! I can now hide my navbar and statusbar to get every inch of screen space. I will be tinkering with this all day hopefully. If I find any bugs I'll report back but right now...since you're the first to give us an AOSP rom...this will be the hottest thread in no time.

Do you know if the elemental kernel can run alongside this? I'm sure you'll get this question 100 times.
I think so but try
I can't seem to make any calls, the call is made, but I can't hear the caller and they can't hear me. Any ideas would love to use this rom

I'm 99.5% that kernel will NOT work. It was specifically created for GPE/Sense ROMs and as per the M7, he never created a working AOSP variant of the kernel.
On another note...FINALLY we have an AOSP ROM! Thanks!
I always wait till I see all the bug reports before I make the jump however, so look forward to seeing this progress.

What do u mean by unofficial? It isnt your rom "unofficial" or is it because its unstable "unofficial" or simply because the base is from cm?

But none the less thank u so much for the rom bout to flash it Now!!!! Any bugs i should know about?

Mine isnt smooth, it lags so bad... Is Is It because i used twrp ? I wiped everything, flashed with the provided slim apps, without it, then after... And nothing it starts lagging right into the boot screen then when i hit next...it stays stuck on welcome... ?
Anyone else having this issue?

The power profile fix was only recently merged.. And proper power consumption figures can only be achieved after a few cycles...

Installed just the ROM on a D410hn (no gapps, etc) for testing and no bugs, as stable as CM13 but with some new features. :good:
Only official CM display the names of the 2 SIM carriers on lockscrern correctly, all other roms display just one (always the second one, for some reason, even if there is no signal), too bad...
IR works, and Stormy kernel as well...thank you for the work sir
awesome rom, only omniswitch loads a little bit too slow
The ROM for the phone l90 d405 ?
This model can be used?
Guys, as you can see, there aren't updates very often...sadly I'm going through some bad times with school.. I need to recover bad marks in order to pass this year. There are only 2 months left and I must work hard.. So I'll stop development of Slim Marshmallow too.. I'm so sorry guys and I hope you can understand me... Thanks to anyone who tried my ROMs, special thanks to @GrinningFerret and to any Dev who helped me!

I like milk
Which is the minimum system partition size to flash this ROM?
Probably stock for installation. For this I installed. Restoring TWRP work for sure and less.

Who's back? We're back.CarbonROM is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look, build, and use our code at GitHub
and at Gerrit.
Pre-Disclaimer:
THIS IS AN UNOFFICIAL BUILD. The intent is to showcase what is coming up soon. @frap129 and I have been working hard on getting taimen on a level we consider DD ready, especially from a security side of things.
Please keep any problems with those builds in this thread, we don't accept any bugreports for unofficial builds anywhere else.
Disclaimer:
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash!
Support:
Notice:
This build includes GApps for now. We're still working on ways to not prebundle it.
Before you flash, make sure you're on the latest 8.1 stock builds (and bootloader), then flash the ROM in TWRP.
MORE IMPORTANT NOTICE: We are very proud to announce that we are the first and only custom ROM to actually get the Now Listening Feature working on AOSP.

Feature requests allowed?
@rocknegi you really like to port roms right? Im really glad you do but you are not updating them regularly. Newly ported roms have lots of bugs. Could you update this one regularly until all the bugs gone?
Thanks in advance
