[MOD][Z/ZL/ZU][ALL ROMS] 4.3 Google Edition Boot Animation modified for Xperia Z

I was getting bored of the stock Sony boot animation on my XZ and decided it was time for a change!
So I took the boot animation from the Galaxy S4 Google Edition and replaced the Google logo with the Xperia logo using Photoshop
Hope you like it!
It should work on any firmware on the Z, ZL and ZU.
Installation using CWM/TWRP (ROOT IS REQUIRED!):
Download and flash the XperiaGoogleBootAnimation.zip file from the bottom of this post, simples.
Or if you don't have a custom recovery (AGAIN ROOT IS REQUIRED!):
Download bootanimation.zip from the bottom of this post
Copy it to your SD card (internal or external)
Using Root Explorer or ES File Explorer, move the downloaded bootanimation.zip to /system/media and overwrite when prompted.
Make sure the permissions are set to rw- r-- r--
Reboot and enjoy!
To revert to the stock boot animation:
Flash the StockXperiaBootAnimation.zip file from the bottom of this post using CWM or TWRP.
Please ask me first if you want to use it in your ROM.

It should work on any version, just push it to system/media + give permissions or flash thru cwm (the package, not pure bootanimation)

you mean the preview? dont use the XDA app, load it through chrome or another browser.

It would probably look a bit strange as the resolution is set to 1080x230 (designed for 1080p devices).
I'll see about resizing it to the Xperia U resolution, it might take a little while.

Ok, we should change permissions as usual, but should framework.jar be moved only into system/framework or in both places (system and system/framework)?

You paste it to /system and you set permission to rw-r-r. After that you cut the framework.jar you replace it to system/framework and you replace the current one. You need to have a deoxeded rom

Strange why in the logs i see something about TA Backup. Try with flashtool 0.9.18.6. That version works fine for me

It's an old and well known problem on many xperia T: the battery!

[Q] How can i change statusbar icons

Hello
I have downloaded JetMod rom and saw that statusbar icon are not good.
I want to hange them to icons from BROOD ROM RC.5 (this is I9001 rom)
So i have extracted Sytem iu and framework.res apk from bouth rom and what can i do now ?
I saw similar thread in HTC section but my phone is samsung and thread was about HTC and
I am trying to change status bar icons to icons from others phone rom.
And i saw this unsware
open frameworkres.apk and systemui.apk with 7zip and copy drawable hpdi from the one you want to take from. then open the current one from your rom and put them in making sure that the .png files are named the same. ex status bar icons and not/qs are in systemui and battery is in framworkres
Can i do it like that ?

Yes, if resolution of that phone from what you are using those icons are the same like ours.

I have extracted icons i want to change (mobile data icons). But in JetMOD there are 42 files i want to change but in Brood rom there are 49 icons.
So pls. shut_down download this 2 zips and find icons names that arent repeted in two zips.

Last 6 from Broodicons.zip are not included in JetMod. I do not see how you coulnd't compare two folders with 42 and 49 icons. It is not like there was 1000 files there. And I couldn't download zip some how, asked for permission. I compared it in browser...

If you just used 7-ZIP/WinRAR to replace those pngs - no need to do anythig more.

I olso had to change data icons in framework.res but now it is done.
Icons in bouth apps are changed and bouth apps are signed.
And than i have open JetMod zip and change this to apps right ?
And can u post screenshot of what u get if u enter my google drive link ?

You can do that, overwrite files in zip and flash or you can push it to system/app or system/framework if you already have JetMod.
I posted you in attachment what I get in link. I can download one by one, but I can't download zip.

Hey guys! So I'm trying to somehow modify this kernel to allow rooting. I'll post my progress here, what I've done and what does work and what doesn't

Changed Kernel to Permissive, no more Seandroid enforcing.
Got the modified kernel to boot with installed root using TWRP flashing.
Unfortunately everything gets force close.

I know someone who installed su files using aroma file manager I'm twrp. Phone booted but no root.

Haven't tried that yet, just replacing some files and editing some of them but I really hope that someone will find a way to root our device soon.
EDIT: Tried flashing old kernel, but it just says kernel is not seandroid enforcing and then bootloops.

Don't use this file to get root access. It doesn't works.

Yeah, Flashing SuperSU-Update won't work. Sorry that I wasn't here. I'm focusing on my custom rom right now.

This kernel is only for Snapdragon models and not for N910C. This thread is about N910C. Better don't flash it on Exynos phone.

That was a great work from the community, but up until now, it's rebooting while screen is off. Let's hope they fix it or Sammy release the needed files.
