How to install
You can use different apps to flash .img files like zit-flasher, flashify, rashr,etc... or you can convert it into a flashable tar.md5 odin file
If you need a recovery.fstab file for flashing the recovery, use this
Installing with ZIT flasher
-Download and install ZIT flasher
-Download the recovery.fstab and CWM's recovery.img and place them somewhere in your phone
-Open ZIT flasher, go to the settings tab, select recovery.fstab and then select the third option (select from phone)
-Then search for the downloaded recovery.fstab and select it
-Then go again to the main tab. In the recovery section select browse and select the downloaded recovery.img
-Finally select flash
-To check if it worked, turn off the device, then turn on while holding volume+ and home buttons.

You could try, if you are not sure you can backup your stock recovery.img using online nandroid backup and if it doesn't work, then you can reflash your stock recovery
Edit: As far as I know, all the variants of the galaxy music uses the same kind of CPU (BCM21654) so I think it shouldn't have any problem

well with some reasearch discovered that kitkat needs cwm 6.0.4 and this port is 6.0.3 sooo... I will have to build from source a new 6.0.4 cwm and then the recovery will be able to flash cm 11. At least this will let me to learn a little about CM:silly:

You have flashed cm on ir cell ? Is ur model supported ?

Sadly no it isn't supported. I think it is beacuase there aren't devs that have this phone. I love CM and I am very impatient so I'm going to try to build CWM and CM for this. Already started a device tree

When will rom manager work?

Well this definitely depends on Koush and Team Cyanogen. I think Koush knows that there is a running version now for our device and he can easily revert the name I've changed since everything is on my github account.
Did a lot of searching but still am confused.
So the only solution right now for SGS+ is to use kernel with CWR but it does not work directly with rom manager..

Official CyanogenMod 9 Nightlies

Last we heard, CyanogenMod 9's interaction with the Galaxy Tab 10.1 line was limited to the variants shackled either to T-Mobile or to WiFi. However, the CM team has been hard at work, and as of yesterday, the following three editions of the 10-inch tablet have been granted access to the CM nightly kingdom: Verizon's Galaxy Tab 10.1 (SCH-I905)
Unlocked WiFi + 3G Galaxy Tab 10.1 (GT-P7500)

No. I think it's based on isi and pershoot work, so the only changes probably will be more CM9 settings
I wonder if any of these are any more stable than the latest from the usual sources that pershoot has been giving us so far. I know it's based on his and Isi's work so I am just wondering

The file can't be flashed with odin.
It has to be flashed through cwm, but first you have to unlock your bootloader and aquire root.

Need a small tutorial.

I've been searching around, but it still isn't really clear to me so I decided to make a thread.
I'm currently running an old version of Stunner ROM Beta v 5.0. (Yes, really old)
Baseband version: XXLA4
Kernel: I9220ZCLP5.
Android 4.0.4
The thing is, that I would like to try out Paranoidandroid, but for that I'd need to (from what I've read) be on a CM9/CM10 ROM.
I've heard some bad things about the bricked stunner devices and ever since that I haven't really had the guts to modify anything.
Would one of you be so kind to put together a little tutorial on how to get to running Paranoidandroid's latest version? Or the ICS based version if that's a lot easier. I don't really mind that much for JB beta's.
It's greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance,
Lanarix.
1) Boot to recovery
2) Flash safe kernel, Abyss or Hydracore.
3) Reboot in recovery. advanced > reboot in recovery.
4) Full wipe
5) Flash ROM of your choice.
This is just off the top of my head, I'm sure if you search round you will find a better guide

Thank you, but I do need to get back to a pre-rooted GB ROM first right? And then flash CM9 over it, right?
And at step 3 you repeated reboot in recovery, that can't be what you meant haha ;p
Download PA/gapps
Download hydracore kernel
Reboot to cwm flash hydracore
Reboot recovery
Wipe all
Flash PA/gapps

Or am I wrong again? I know ICS > ICS is fine now, but is ICS > JB do-able in my case? From this ROM I use right now?

[Q] Replace CWM with TWRP

Dear all,
I'm planning to flash CM 11 ROM by Mclaw in the near future. Since Mclaw recommended flashing using TWRP, I have to replace CWM on my stock rooted SGS3 mini. I've searched entire therads for this topic, some said I had to flash TWRP through fastboot (what is fastboot anyway?), and some said that just flashed TWRP using CWM. It will replace CWM with TWRP. All of those methods are meant to be for different device.
Anyone can confirm one of those methods for SGS3 mini? Or is there another method that noob friendly? I'm just too newbie and afraid to bricking my phone. Thanks.
You don't necessarily need TWRP. I can successfully flash that with CWM.

I'm serious. You can just flash it using CWM without problems. The methods and results are practically the same.
Anyway, the easiest way to flash a new recovery is by using ROM Manager from the Play Store.

I flashed one recovery using another recovery *dozens* of times on other devices (mostly on the galaxy gio) and now I flashed Maclaw's TWRP using CWM on an I8190n and everything is working perfectly.
