I'm coming from stock, rooted, s-off, flashing from Phil's recovery. On first boot wifi didn't come on. During setup the option to toggle it on or off was missing. So I skipped gapps setup. I set aside the phone for a few mins to let things settle. Then came back and went into wifi settings and tried to turn wifi on and the wifi setup ui just kind of froze. So I decided a graceful reboot was in order so I shut down. Then powered back on a minute later and got stuck at boot animation forever. Power cycled and it repeated. So I restored from backup.
I'm away from my desk atm so I cannot check md5 of the file I downloaded or give logcat yet.

Does this ROM have transparent soft key buttons? Love Sense UI for this but prefer a stock android experience if possible, with some extras.

Yes, you need ICS HBoot and ICS kernel for this ROM.
Boot.img is included in Zip and can be flashed via FastBoot either before or immediately after flashing the ROM.

Sorry but this question comes up in just about every ROM thread. It's not just a matter of removing Sense apps. Sense has its claws dug deep into the system. If you really want something without Sense, you can go help out in the CM9 thread.

Very nice! Thanks! This will make it much easier to switch back and forth for those of us that converted before we knew the partitions were different sizes.

Sorry buddy i'm a little confused. Is this basically a GPE ROM with Sense? Or just Sense skin?
Does it also include sense camera?
I had amazing performance and battery on your GPE, but I always ending up missing the Sense camera, just wondering if this would suit my "needs"

It is a sense 6 ROM that'll work on GPe Devices or GPe converted devices..GPe converted or actual GPe Devices have a smaller system partition.. So I went and made it possible to flash sense 6 on any m8 device including those...that's all.

I know this is a little off topic. But I need to know lol.
I know HTC made certain HTC features compatible with the GPE version. Do you think it will ever be possible to get sense 6 camera on a GPE ROM?
This rom is great.. I have it running on probably one of the biggest pain in the ass people I put roms on phones for. He is happy.. Thanks for this.

How to flash this ROM
-make sure you have Galaxy S3 I9300 rooted device
-click Dowload icon above
-download files and put on your SD card
-turn off your device
-go to recovery by pressing and holding "Volume up"+"Home button" then Power On your device and you will automatically enter recovery mode.
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache partition
-wipe dalvik cache
-now locate your file on SD Card then flash.
-flash "File 1" first for Version 1 only.after flashing "File 1" flash "File 2" and wait to finish installation.
-for Version 2 and Up.Flash file and wait to complete installation.
-then reboot device
-done...enjoy!!!

Eliminate Touchwiz Launcher redraws
Guys Touchwiz Launcher redraws is always the issue since we are on JB 4.3..now here the instruction on how to eliminate launcher redraws.
-download "Xposed" & "App Setting" module here.extract and install.
-open Xposed app
-go to module and check "App Setting"
-open "App settings:
-search for TouchwizHome and open
-click "resident" and save
-then return to Xposed app
-go to framework
-then install update
-reboot..done
Fix Wi-Fi issue
for those who are facing WiFi issue..follow this instructions
-open Root explorer
-go to /data
-add file and rename to .cid.info
-then open .cid.info file with text editor
-type semco
-save and set permission to rw-rw-r--

Did a full wipe and installed using latest TWRP when I went to reboot it bootl ooped for a while so I held vol+ and power, now phone will not turn on. Any ideas how to get my phone back on?
edit: it finally came back on, however it's still stuck at boot screen going to restore backup any ideas what would cause boot loop?

You full wiped? I had 4 testers with no issues. Which ROM you tried installing? Did you full wipe?
Yup did factory reset twice and used the kleaner zip. I have installed captain throwback's 4.4.4 gpe rom no problems Tried the audiophile version, maybe a bad download I'll restore and try again and let you know if it boots. It's been sitting on boot screen for about 20 mins now. It's not boot looping because the animation hasn't started over, just seems like it just won't load. I'll try redownloading and reinstalling and let you know if I get it going.

Prolly a bad download check your md5 as I have 4 testers on sprint running it now with no issues

Generally it is NOT recommended to use a "cleaner" zip for clean flashing. I always factory reset 3 times then flash and had no issues with either the test builds or the official. Try it without the zip. Straight up factory reset. Also wouldn't hurt to go into advanced and manually wipe system,data,davlik and regular caches

They might have been checking the m8 forum more frequently instead since we've had the same roms for a little while now. Sprints development is showing the similar sections that link to the m8 posts for a few. Only have a handful of roms here lol

Yes it should work fine
I tried factory reset several times before I flashed the zip, only flashed it because it wouldn't boot. I always do factory wipe, system davlik, data and cache. I was just trying different things trying to get it to boot. Anyways, I finally got it to boot by flashing captain throwbacks gpe rom, then dirty flashing this on top and it booted right up and runs like a champ.
