Stuck in bootloop - Verizon LG G2

So I was working on flashing this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715408 and I got so far as using the tools in this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2713954 to one click root and install twrp, made my nandroid back up, copied that to my computer, then flashed the 24a bootstack zip from xdabbeb's rom thread. the bootstack flash failed and now I do not know what to do next...its stuck in a bootloop at the lg logo.

I am able to get into the recovery and download mode if that helps.

please help!
Here is a bit more information about my situation:
Hi all,
Started by rooting with the one click method, then installed twrp via one click and moved the 4 zip files from this rom thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715408 to my phone in preparation for flashing the new custom rom.
went to flash the 24abootstack.zip via twrp, that failed, so i tried to do the a recovery via twrp, and that did nothing.
after that i found out i was able to get into download mode still
the phone doesn't show up correctly in device manager which means I cannot makee sure it is on com port 41 before trying to use the lg flash tool to flash the tot file.
The phone shows up in the category 'Andorid Phone' and its called 'USB Modem Phone ADB port in the device manager.
I have deleted all the drivers and re installed them also.
Im going on a week and a half without my phone and i really need it back!!

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do?

Whoever can get my phone up and going will receive a generous donation via paypal. There is just no way I can go another week without a phone!
If we need to use linux to fix this, I have Ubuntu 13.04 ready to go via bootable usb also.

I would do that, but like I said I cannot get the phone to show up correctly in device manager which means that I cannot make sure it is on COM PORT 41.

A big thank you goes out to bouchigo for helping me get my phone working again. All I had to do was adb sideload a new bootstack zip and rom zip and I was up and running.

[ROM][STOCK][jro03e][i9020t] With Touch Clockwork Recovery factory image

This is the stock image (flashable via fastboot) from here, with the recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.0.2-crespo.img in place of the factory recovery.
Download
I intended it for ease of running stock with cwm, and to have all the useful things for getting back to stock in one place, or to recover from a bad flash...etc.
It is not rooted, straight stock jro03e, no mods (other than swapping recovery).
I'm not going to do a cwm version, get fastboot running!
If you want root, flash root from the attachment in this post.
Good idea! :good:
Thanks Man!!!
This will help my nexus during the continue flashing!!!

And according to this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1750726 you may get the update running this.
I am running stock, rooted, aosp kernel...I guess I may see if I get JB update ota. Unless, of course, someone posts it here before I get it lol.
Hey i have a stock NS tmo running ICS and I want to unlock it, get CWM, so i can try a JB ROM..... But the problem is my micro usb is broken or something I cant connect to a pc or a mac via the file manager nor via cmd/fastboot.
So my question is this is i flash this via fastboot will it replace the stock recovery even though Im not unlocked?

Hmmm....I never tried it while locked, but you will need your usb working even if it is locked. This is all via fastboot over usb.
I would try a different usb cable, beyond that it sounds like it may be a hardware problem, and I don't know how to fix that.
I updated the first post for JRO03E with touch cwm.
tnx!

Flashing Recovery

Hello, i just bought an LG Optimus 2x p-990, the first thing i did was updating to official ICS, but similar to my previous phone, i cant stand the stock rom and wanted to flash a custom one (havnt decided yet witch rom i want). After some trouble i finally rooted my phone, but now im stuck at trying to flash a new recovery. When i try flashing it through rom manager it says the device hast an official recovery yet, and when i try flashing this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1098745) (note: i have usb debugging on and when i run it super user notifys that was given permision to shell) the cmd prompt opens for some seconds and closes again, and when i try to boot into recovery it goes to the stock recovery that wipes my phone.
Maybe this has been answered in here but believe me when i say i searched for the answer extensivly.
Hope i can get some help.
make it simple, install rom manager then install recovery..
I explained that i can not do it. ROM manager says the device is not listed and when i try to manually install the recovery it says permission denied.
Download and install nvflash driver(often called ATX) and install it. Then dl AIO all in one tool, from there you can install Cwm(can also be nvflashed) You can't use rom manager as it's not compatible with the new bootloader and partition table

[Q] [20a] stuck in cwm bootloop after installing 20b update

Hi,
i am stuck in a bootloop.
i have an unlocked bootloader and had CM10.1 previously.
i then went back to an old 20a backup i made some month ago.
that worked fine.
my phone downloaded an update to 20b then, and i installed it.
after that i am stuck in a bootloop now. normal booting gives me cwm.
i am not able to turn the phone off and charge it, as mentioned somewhere else, to clear the "boot to recovery" flag.
someone knows a way to clear this flag?
Its not important for me if i run stock or CM, but even when i install my CM backup now it still boots into recovery.
holding <down> while rebooting gives me "S/W Upgrade - Please wait while upgrading".
it seems the 20b update is still present and trying to boot into stock recovery, resulting in cwm getting loaded everytime.
(cwm works fine, i can upload a zip and execute it)
greetings

i had the same, if you want to install ota updates you should have the "original" recovery.
i flashed it back to stock with LG .kdz flasher. if i remember correct flashing a backup from sd card won't slove this problem.

hm, i remember having the same problem while installing CM. there was something i did to interrupt the loop, and yes, i think the original LG suite or kdz was involved. but i should not need to reflash the original rom.. its just a flag, i should be able to clear it with sideload/zip/button combination.
[edit] maybe i wasnt clear about that: i dont need the 20b upgrade, i would love to cancel the update process, if that makes my phone boot again.

sorry but i can't help you with the flag... i solved it by reflashing but i have to admit it's quite drastic.
well..
i will reflash stock i guess.
do you remember which thread/tool/drivers you used to reflash?
i am on win7 and my PC isnt able to load fastboot nor LG mobile usb drivers.
i have them installed but get the yellow warning on both in windows hardware administration page

Easiest way to reflash stock is to force an update using the LGMobile Support Tool. Once your phone is connected (I suggest the S/W Update mode) look for the option somewhere in the upper right menu.
Edit: This will also revert to the stock recovery.

if i recall correctly, the LGMobile Support Tool tool wont recognize my phone, since i have a custom kernel, unlocked bootloader and a custom ROM.
i am trying to flash stock ROM now with kdz updater ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069723 ), and if this does not work i am going through every method thats there..
total overkill for a working phone thats just too stupid to boot the right option..
@moneyvirus: thx

Not sure about this, but the S/W mode might make a difference here. No harm in trying, right?
well. i was able to install stock 20a with kdz updater and link above.
cwm is gone now ofc, but everything at least works.
in some hours i will be rooted and cwm'ed again, but well... its always the same lesson: never touch a running system.
but maybe here's the wrong place to insist on this wisdom

UnBrick G4? Emergency

I am a noob when it comes to android rooting and stuff. My phone is a TMO LG G4.
I rooted my g4 yesterday and it went perfectly. Then I tried to install TWRP. When I flashed TWRP via flashify, it got stuck in a twrp bootloop. I downloaded the LG G4 H811 DEBLOATED ROM from XDA and transfered it to my phone with a cable. Then I tried to flash the .zip file and it gave me an error. I wiped the cache and stuff and tried again. same results. I extracted the .zip file and tried to flash the boot.img file (it was only 32mb). While flashing the boot.img file, it gave me 2 choices and I chose the option to use the rooted partition. Then I rebooted. It said there was no os Installed on the reboot screen.
Now when I turn on my phone, and it is stuck at the LG Logo. I tried hard factory reset and pulling out the battery. It doesn't work. I can't even get into the twrp screen anymore. What should I do? It is emergency.
BTW, this is called bricking, right?
You said you wiped cache and stuff. What is stuff. Did you wipe the data and system?
This worked for me when I foobar'd the build.prop, but might not you. Try the rooting process again.

First things first. Can you get your phone to download mode. With phone off, hold vol up and plug in usb cable to force download mode. IF that works, go here http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G4/H811/H81110H and grab the kdz and flash it to bring your phone back to stock unrooted to fix phone. Then go from there.
Most important, make sure you READ and UNDERSTAND everything before doing ANYTHING. Good luck you got this!!!

Download Mode not Working

So I've tried the H811 one click and does work and so I wanted to flash a rooted stock rom via download mode. I did it step by step and it's just not working, I've waited 20 minutes for each time to see if it would work. Typed LEAVE and nothing still. What is wrong with this thing? Also with the H8111 one click the recovery deleted my stock recovery I don't even have that anymore.

So you managed to install twrp and you want to root now? You can download the desired ROM zip and flash it from recovery. No download mode needed if you have twrp.
No, I didn't have a custom recovery. I tried that, didn't work so I was just going to try and get root. I checked drivers, multiple USB cables and ports and nothing. I did it on my friends computer and I was able to get root and TWRP on. I'm using official CM 12.1 now and it works great. I figured it was probably just a USB/Cable/Driver issue but I had tried so many thing other than a different computer.
