It's more "best rom/kernel" discussions that are forbidden. I've already seen several spreadsheets like this.
Anyways I already see mistakes after a quick review... (e.g. Dark UI on Mahdi)

Hardly a best ROM thread, is it. He's clearly put a lot of effort in to this.

Sorry, but I have to correct you on this one:
4) No threads or posts asking for the best/most stable ROM/Kernel/Mod/whatever, or created for the purpose of comparing Phones/ROMs/Kernels/Mods/whatever:
These threads/posts will be deleted promptly and without warning. They have a history of causing problems due to trolls, and fanboys, along with various troublemakers, and therefore are no longer allowed. Regardless of that, there is really no way to judge whether or not a particular piece of work is better than another because it's all relative to begin with. If you want to know what piece of work is better for you, install something and try it out for a while. If you don't like it, try something else. Our Developers work hard to provide us their contributions, free of charge. Please show them the respect they deserve by trying something out and giving them your feedback.(Taken from HERE)
So, sorry guys, but thread closed.

Bug fixes and increased wifi strength and data stuff I believe (nothing major).
There is no changelog because it is the first version! And no screenshots either because visually nothing has changed from aosp (and its a beta, you don't ask for screenshots in the CM nightly thread do you?).

You could always specify in the first changelog the changes you made from AOSP.
Additionally, since you didn't specify in the thread it was an AOSP build, people can't really assume that, and thus ask for screenshots.
Just saying. You could maneuver a lot of "unwanted" replies by posting comprehensive information.

The whole thread is meant to direct people to RootzWiki for info, and if people asked stuff there, or even read through stuff there then these unwanted replies wouldn't be needed either. Once again why I dislike XDA, I only put this up here after a request at RootzWiki to put a link, not because I felt like getting questions like this.

i agree that things are not how they were on xda but one thing i know is that there will never be a better resource than xda. I can bet you that even if you decide to post only on rootwiki, you'll still come on xda to check out the latest. since long devs have tried to do that, first was htcpedia.com ( during the windows 6,6.x era ) , even paul coudnt come close with modaco.
I seriously think you should stick to xda. My 2 cents.

People like you are the reason why many devs discontinue their work. People always demand and don't think about other people spending their free time just to help.

Unfortunately, people that think like we do are becoming lost in the sea of self entitled noobs that have swamped these forums with the increased popularity of Android and modding.
They refuse to search or read before posting or show any respect to people that give their time for free to develop better software for their device.

My point towards Echo is to not to assume and to be a bit more friendlier. This is after all a community to help others and to spread information. Bad will towards other would have not be tolerated in the forums I modded and administrated on. The mods can deleted this thread since it doesn't serve any purpose since the information was already posted. I hate useless posts. That's why I only post when I have something to say. The point of the search is so you don't have to scroll to find what you're looking for. Unfortunately it isn't perfect and will not always find what you are looking for.
We could probably discuss this all day, but what would be the point. It happened. Let's all just move on.

Best Rom/Kernel Threads

As we know, xda has recently allowed us to post best threads. Thats a difference from their policy before, which didnt allow best threads. Also, as we all know(well, most of us) that best roms and best kernels do not exist. Best would be whatever fills your personal needs and wants. As we all differ, our needs and wants also differ. Since all our needs and wants differ, its not possible to have a "best rom" or "best kernel". Whats best for you, could be the absolutely worst for me. So, even though xda now allows best threads, "best" doesnt actually exist. What they will turn into, if no arguments or fighting occurs, is just the same list of all roms and kernels that exist on xda. My question is whats the point to this? As in we reply in each thread with the truth, there are no best roms/kernels.
I agree with you sims. The best out come of a "best" thread is opinions. I also pm'd a mod with the same concern as you.

Simms,
Can you even prove to me that we all see color the same? Studies have pretty much proved we don't. For what it's worth I'm with Johnny Cash on this one. Black. Though technically that's the absence of color.

If you just let the threads be, they will fall off the front page and die a natural death. Instead, you're posting your same responses over every thread and pushing them to the top.
