Not an uncommon issue for CM on non officially supported devices as it's one of the harder things to get working. I looked through some of the threads about the rom and didn't see anyone mention it, though there were not many posts, so that's not necessarily indicative of anything. So it does pair fine, just no sounds? And it was working before or on another device so we can rule out issues with the BT device itself?

BT audio device was working with stock/based roms and official cm's.. tested it..
Pairs and connects but no sounds. yeah!
i asked akbh bout this problem and said that to be able to fix it, need to compile from source again.. thanks though

Ah ok, cool. If it works for other CM roms, then most likely the dev will be able to sort it out shortly.

[Q] Anyone try JM7 (i9000 eclair) yet?

JM7 is the latest Eclair build for the Galaxy S (not the captivate)
Wondering if BT works and if Sync Schedule for Exchange is there - the biggest things wrong with previous i9000 builds.
Thanks for any info.

bluetooth will most likely not be functional with a captivate kernel since it's the kernel that controls that, the ROM just chooses how to interface with it. since they weren't designed to be used together, they probably won't "just work" together without heavy kernel modifications.
as for exchange, couldn't tell you (don't have any exchange accounts)

The Froyo build is working with BT. And the BT chip should be the same between devices, so I am not convinced BT won't work.

They also use the same wireless radios yet the fmradio app doesn't work even with the i9000 kernel. We also have the same gravity sensor/accelerometer, yet that doesn't work properly either. It's more than just kernel. It's a combination of the rom, the kernel, and hardware access. Considering these are issues specific to running software not designed to work with the captivate, they will likely never be fixed by samsung so a new rom won't make them magically work.
As for bluetooth working on froyo, it works in eclair too for pairing, just isn't fully functional with audio
Sent from my Samsung SGH-i897
OK, let me clarify as i am hoping for experiences not speculation -
BT audio for phone calls works fine in Froyo with a captivate kernel according to reports but not in previous Eclair builds - has anyone tried BT audio in JM7?

I would love to know where you say someone said "BT audio works fine in froyo with a captivate kernel."
we have no captivate kernel compatible with froyo. when you flash a froyo build, you're using the i9000 kernel because there are no captivate ROMs available yet. if you try using the eclair captivate kernel in the froyo i9000 ROM, your phone will not even boot (have to fix through download mode)

My typo -I know the kernel is specific to the version. - i have not tried a Froyo build yet - but the fact is Froyo BT works for audio as reported in other threads. So it is not unthinkable that Jm7 could have working BT Audio on our Captivate.
Again, all i am asking for is if someone has any first hand knowledge, not speculation. I know what the older versions have as I have tried those - just tired of flashing ROMs for now.

Wired headset buttons not working on most builds

Maybe this is just me but most builds I install don't have a working wired headset. I have tried searching for a fix, but the only thing I have found is that it could be a kernel problem that has not been fixed due numerous kernel updates. Does anybody know of a fix that can take care of this problem, or know of a NAND or Clockwork build (preferably desire HD) where the wired headset works.
Yes, i have this problem with the wired headset.
Now with my Bluetooth Headset (Calypso BT) buttons are working perfectly
My conclusion is that the problem is.. the sound card driver =)
Correct me if i'm wrong, i'd be honored to see someone correcting me
when i use Gauner1986 ROM with ROM's kernel or MDJ kernel 9.2, 9.3, my Wired headset buttons are working fine, but when i upgarde to 10.3 oc MDJ kernel, it does not work anymore
I just tried the new CoreDroid rom (Jan 24) and it doesn't work. I also tried the revolution 2.3 rom and no luck.
+1 for this problems... Only Gauner1986 HD 0.3 is Work... Others HD or Z Build... does not working at all... so, i can't anwser my phone calls when i driving my motorbike... and control music player :-<
Gauner's kernel supports this function. MDJ's does not. It is that simple.
If you want your buttons to work, use Gauner's kernel.
The core Droid roms work great with wired headphones I'm using the supersonic with no problems
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
+1
CoreDroid - the wired headset doesn't work.
So the question is what is included in gauner1986's or older kernels that is missing or modified in other kernels (like MDJ's 10.4OC)?

I think you're right. If you stick with a Cyanogen 6.1 Froyo build it should work. I am running NexusHD2-Froyo v1.9G NAND by tytung and it works fine with PowerAmp in case that helps.
CMYLXGO's BlueTopia v1.0.6n and the rest of his should work if you are looking for a Desire HD base.
PRJ kernel should work too...

for starts there is no GB 2.3.4 stock roms out . they are LEAKS and therefore may have more bugs than a bait store .. that being said yea you might want to reflash and do a factory wipe ...
Ok it was the leaked ROM. I will change ROMS then thanks guys

If you go into Bluetooth settings does it show phone and media audio for the device? When I first pair devices with the GB roms I have to manually enable the media audio, though the phone audio automatically is selected.

For the bluesleep process that pervent your device to enter sleep mode you should take a look if it's a bug of the rom and if it's reported from other users. I think that the Wi-Fi is maybe a problem due to a not perfect flash of the rom. In anyway wipe everything, format system and sd card, than reflash the rom, you migh be good to go.
P.S. Try to freez bluesleep with greenfy and see what appen. This could be call a temporary fix if you don't care that much about Wi-Fi.
Good luck and have a great life

Also can you suggest me a decent MIUI rom which work without lag. the rom which i was is without lag but the only problem is bluesleep & the previous wifi one

The rom you may looking for is a slimmed rom based on stock 2.3.6 rom by Samsung with Battery Extender kernel. The fastest and less battery-eater rom is the AOSP GB but has no working 3G connection so that's why you may not like it. Custom ROM suffers some instability some times and they're not perfect so that's why you should use on a phone you use for your job a stock based rom, in my opinion.
P.S. Do you really need a MIUI rom updated to a newer version of Android?
Also i have one more doubt. when i moved to custom kernel the boot logo animates like my phone gonna die i9s that normal or due to some voltage fluctuations ??

No problems at all, it's "normal" (i know sounds weird XD) when you flash a kernel that do not came with the rom itself. I've never faced instability related to voltages even in overclock. Remember that not every CPU is capable of the same overclock. If you doubt about stability do a stress test of cpu trough an app (I use it to test oveclock frequecies).

S3 LTE Liquid Smooth Issue with Sound

Hello, I´ve just updatet my Liquid smooth rom and now i´ve got some Problems.
I´d like to post into the Thread but since i am not allowed to ( Can´t post , not enough Posts ) i´d like to ask you how you fixed it. I saw someone Posted he flashed the boeffla kernel to it and used boeffla sound to fix it but wheather version i download and install, i can´t use boeffla sound.
Please help me.
Specs
S3 LTE
Liquid Smooth 2.37 (4.3.1)
3.0.64 CM g25db0ff Kernel ( the [email protected] #1
Darkangel142
maybe you can flash a boeffle kernel and install the config apk
the newest version for 9305 is i9305-Boeffla-4.0beta1-by-hbohd-20-10-2013
this is the my favourite kernel
Hey, ,
i tried your solution, but the Kernel you´ve posted is for 4.1
The new Liquid Smooth is 4.3, so it got me on a Bootloop ( i fixed the loop, now im back on the prelisted Kernel )
Is there a Boeffla Kernel version for 4.3 with working Boeffla sound, or another Kernel (like Voodoo kernel on Galaxy S 1)
with a Sound app for the S3 LTE ?
Kernels are posted in development .
Problem fixed
Finally found the right version for the Phone with working sound fix for it. (and support for android 4.3)
I´ve tried the kernel´s from his homepage but those were diffrent versions of it ( no sound app support )
The only one working for me on newest Liquid Smooth to fix the sound issue is
i9305-CM10.2-Boeffla-2.0b2a-by-hbohd-26-10-2013.zip
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2457052
After Flashing this the sound Problem is gone and you have several more options to configure the Kernel

@Darkangel142 did that also cure the in-call low volume issue?
because for the kernel and any options in the app only sorted the speaker volume...
thanks
No it didn´t,
The Phones Speaker and Headphones now do the normal sounds, but the Internal Phonespeaker ist still to quiet
I Noticed that one day later and since i´ve got my 10 Posts i could ask in the developement section but no reply to it till now.
Im trying some more Kernel´s today and let you know.
Darkangel142
If I use a custom kernel with audio controls I always freeze the built in music processing app ie DSP manager just so it doesn't try and interfere as I've had some past problems with intermittent sound on custom roms.
I'm currently on cm10.1.3 with yanks kernel. That has the boeffla sound engine and with the boeffla sound app from the play store you can boost all volumes ie speaker and headphones plus a whole load of other options to tweak the sound.
Sent from my GT-I9305 using xda app-developers app
The low volume killed the ROM for Mr for now...changed to PAC and am happy...I keep watching...
