[Q] HTC One crashes while flashing - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My HTC One always bricks while flashing. I also tried to flash twrp 2.7.0 again but it didn´t help. When Aroma Installer wants to erase cache the phone crashs and reboots normally. What else can I do?

I tried to flash a rom (Viperone 6.1 ) and a kernel ( Bulletproof 14.1) both with aroma installer.. First the kernel then the rom but both didn´t work.

did you md5 check the kernel and the rom before flashing?
bulletprrof 14.1: 04920d26cadb168c14a37bbfde7e3071
Viperone 6.1: 8FBB23E6F7D06E64CB0191ED2C525028
also clear cache and dalvik before flashing the kernel.

try to erase cache from fastboot
Code:
fastboot erase cache
then go in twrp --> Wipe --> Advanced wipe ---> select cache and dalvik cache then swipe to wipe.
If it still doesn't work, you should try flashing twrp 2.6.3.3 or 2.6.3.4 instead of 2.7.0.0

[Q] Google Play + Hashcode CM10.1

Hi, guys.
I've been using CM10.1 since @Hascode kindly put out his rom and I'm able to use the Google Play normally.
However, Google Play is now identifying my device as Kindle Fire HD and I'm not able to install anything. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Thanks in advance.

How did you flash the gapps? Because it shouldn't recognize your kindle.

Just followed the rules.
Wipe Cache/Dalvik, then install first the ROM and gapps.
Should I wipe everything or change any settings inside the zip file?
Thanks
I've done it!
For those with the same issues here's what you have to do:
Enter bootloader
Wipe
Wipe everything except "Internal Storage" and "Format Data"
Go back to main menu
Install
Add the ZIP files @Hashcode provided
After the process is done, wipe cache/Dalvik
Reboot
If everything goes right, the next time you reboot you'll see the 'Welcome' screen.
Good luck.
If you have any questions, just ask me.

OK, Am not ready for a full tutorial now but using
SP flash tool you can do a readback of the original
Recovery.
You can also get it from my other posts about
Stock firmware, download only the stock recovery
And replace it with the one in TWRP folder and
Flash it with SP flash tool or with flashify if you are
Rooted.

Always wipe Cache and Dalvik cache before flashing
Any zip from recovery and some even wipe again
After flashing as an added precaution. It's a good
Habit and saves you a lot of bugs and boot loops

It's important to flash SuperSU zip first before
Xposed Framework zip.
I've noticed the system restarting during apps
Optimization once or twice after flashing some zip
But it later completed the optimization after the
Restart so I didn't bother to look at the lst_kmsg
Try clearing cache and Dalvik cache again
If the issue persist, restore your system,
Flash SuperSU clear cache and Dalvik cache
Restart system.
Go into recovery again and flash the xposed Framework
Clear cache and Dalvik cache and restart.
Please always make sure that Md5 checksum is ticked
In TWRP before flashing Any zip or restoring any
Backup

Well, I think you have to give me full details of your
Phone, recovery, Rom, etc
If you can get dmesg, last_kmsg, adb logcat
That will be useful.
I'll suggest you do a backup of your data and try
Flashing my fixed AndroidOne firmware 5.1.1,
Flash TWRP, flash SuperSU and flash xposed Framework
And then flash the mod

I have the exact same setup as anyone. Hot 2 is short on ROMs and such
So I have the fixed version of the Android One ROM you released, TWRP and SuperSU flashed from TWRP
and all I'm getting is android optimizing apps and tons of restarting in between and then start again from the beginning. it's just not working

At what point did the phone come up?
Flash it step by step; ie flash recovery reboot system
Flash SuperSU reboot system, flash xposed reboot system
You might have to Redownload the latest xposed Framework
Which is version 73, put it inside phone memory.
Don't forget to check the md5 checksum before you
Flash any zip.
Try and copy the current last_kmsg from recovery to
External Sdcard and send it to me let me know what's
The cause of your Phone issues.
It could be that one or more of your downloads
Got corrupt
From the link you gave us to download the xposed framework for lollipop rom 5.1.1, I saw xposed framework sdk22-arm.zip, arm64.zip, arm86.zip, *64 or *86.zip which one should we download

First flash TWRP Recovery with SP Flash tool
Which I put a link of how to beside it.
After that, you can install xposed framework,
SuperSU (root) etc with TWRP from TWRP recovery.
Pls reply the previous post about the type of xposed framework to download
I have successfully installed supersu but encountered this error in the attachments link below...mtk droid tools could not get root permission

[Q] GApps keeps messing my CM13 ROM

Hello, I just installed CM13 and it works perfectly fine. I did a backup, downloaded GApps from here with the selection of Platform ARM, Android 6.0, and I've tried two different Variants both mini and micro (I don't have enough space for full). Every time I install GApps through TWRP (latest version for titan 2.8.6.0) and once I reboot it keeps spamming "Unforunately Setup Wizard has stopping working" and "Google Play Services has stopped working" and I cannot do anything. I have to boot into recovery and do a restore before GApps. Why is this?
I think you are Installing Gapps After booting in CM13 and then going back to recovery to flash gapps.....
Just flash Gapps along with ROM and do A dalvik and cache wipe after....

Wait, I need to flash Gapps and also my ROM? I've been just installing by clicking "Install" and hitting the zip and then booting. What's the command to flash them in adb?
First Wipe your Dalvik,Cache,system,data....
then goto install and select the ROM zip...
after flashing goto mount and Mount everything....
then goto install again and select The Gapps Zip....
wipe Dalvik and cache and reboot....

Steps to do clean flash

1.Reboot to recovery
2.Wipe>advance wipe> select
a.dalvik cache
b.System
c.Vendor
d.Data
e.Cache
And swipe
3.Install>select ROM.zip
If rom does not have gapps then:-
Tap add more zip
Select gapps(Pico/Nano)
Install
6.Wipe dalvik cache and cache
7.Reboot system
ENJOY!
*NOTES*
1.Formatting data is not necessary everytime but if you face any problem like after rebooting you were asked for password then do a format data and reboot.
2.You can use latest TWRP but if facing problem then you can use the recommended TWRP released on 22/04/2020.
3.If you still facing any issue then you can ask freely by replying this post.

Failed to install custom rom on Ali G6 XT1925-6, please advise!

This is what I did from stock rom android 9:
1. Boot phone to download mode
2. Fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.5.0_9-0-ali.img
3. Boot into recovery TWRP
4. Wipe > swipe to factory reset
5. Wipe > Format data
6. Wipe > Advanced wipe
7. Wipe: Davik/ART Cache, Cache, Data, Internal Storage, and system.
8. Install PixelExperience_ali-10.0-20201122-2316-UNOFFICIAL.zip
Install failed error 255
I did Try other rom like RevengeOS-3.2-Q-OFFICIAL-ali-20200713-0913.zip but also failed
Please advise!
Turn out these 2 : twrp-v3.2.3-ali.img and twrp-v3.2.3-unofficial-ali_20181110.img won't flash custom rom even after I wipe and format data. The only on that work is mali.img from here:
TWRP 64
So, official ali twrp is 32 bit and most custom roms are 64 bit !?
