Mobile Data not working after Cyanogen 11 4.4.2 ROM - Xperia SP Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

After I've installed the Cyanogen 11 4.4.2 ROM for Xperia sp, my mobile data hasn't been working at all. I can turn it on and off, but no symbol(H, 3g, 4g) appears on the signal icon. I've already tested every possible APN settings. I need your help!! Much appreciated !

Check APN or accespoints: Settings > Network and Wireless > Data/more etc..
Check at mobile networks and APN or Accespoints
If these are empty you need to add them manually, so check with your operator for the details..

already done that, still not working..

Enter airplane mode wait a few minutes reboot device and turn off airplane mode

Didn't work Q_Q. Could it be that I'm missing some sort of file for data connections??

Is your operator a virtual operator? Then you need to turn on data roaming! Android detects a virtual operator as "roaming" older versions of cm had the option of national data roaming but cm11 doesn't you won't have to pay more if you turn on roaming in your own country

Ok so I called my operator and turns out they hadn't registered my SIM number on 3G connections or something like that. Thanks tho!

Having the same problem
I tried the CM11 and AOSX, on both of them I am having the same problem. Though I have setted the APN up, the mobile data is not working. I tried the app Tweak APN but not worked either. Is there any fix about this issue or any solution that someone can help? Thanks.
PS: I am having an Xperia Sola

Try to enable data roaming (no extra costs will apply if you are in your own country)

[Q] [Troubleshooting] 3G network problem

Hi guys
I have problem with 3G connection through application, but wifi is fine. All that I can do through 3G connection is go on a internet browser and surf. But if I open some application which uses the internet so do not connect..
How I said through wifi is everithing fine, but through 3g is not.
I tried wipe, factory reset and clear cache from but nothink helped...
Goto -> Settings -> Wireless Networks -> Mobile Network -> APN
Is there anything there?
If there is find the settings for your carrier and double check them
re:
Yes, of course there is configuration for 3G work... I said in a internet browser I can surf, but I can't use internet through apps as gmail, market etc...
Can it bee that the network provider has somesort of problem with the network or the gmail and market servers they are using is down. Once i have gmail problem but that wasn't the phones fault The server Google used was down with somesort of problem. Must say that strange problems ppl has with they phone if connection via wifi works but not 3g? Then it must be fault in settings or fault i the network.

I do not think that, because I have this problem around 1-2 months
So you can not connect via 3g at all from application?

Stupid question but have u activate your data network so the phone are allowed to use data network? And the access point are right?

Really? Oh thank you man I am so glad...:X
? Sarcastic.. Are your sure you realy can use your phone? Maybe its too clever for you then..if you had this problem why dont you sent it for repair? You have had the problem one/two months and now you are crying about the problem with your phone come oon man...send it for repair

Yeah a little bit :-D
1.yes I am sure
2.you are more smarter
3.because thats same problem have many users
4.I am not crying bro
I have a similar problem.
If the phone is only on wi-fi connection, gmail, internet, market, daily briefing (accuweather) and maps are working fine. If I switch the wi-fi off and switch APN on, only the market works.
how's that?

The fact that you can't connect to internet is not due to this. I used to have that message when I was in gingexperia, I just pressed dismiss and everything was ok and I could connect to internet .
Neither wifi nor 3g work?

Ok then go settings>wireless and networks >mobile network>data enabled must be checked.
It is unchecked then check it.
It is checked then make sure your rom support the 3g connection(as I haven't test this rom I don't know it might be a bug)
I don't think is a hardware problem then in the worst case full wipe and reinstall the rom or change rom.
Almost forget, forget the idea that the network unlock is the reason why you can't connect to 3g
Hope I helped!!!!
Cheers

Is APN access point names?
I have only two options there
-postpaid(e-ideas)
-prepaid(hicard)
My telecom is singtel from singapore
I've had this happen, a quick airplane mode onn/off worked (takes 10 seconds).
still annoying though.

No Data connection until I restart

Hi,
Has anyone had this problem - or any ideas what it might be?
Basically, every now and then I'll lose the data connection (but keep signal for voice and text). Turning airplane mode on/off doesn't rectify it, neither does turning off/on the data connection. However if I restart the phone, I'll get data signal straight away.
Any ideas?
what about changing network type from 3g to 2g and back ?
I used to have this problem on three UK with nexus 4 and 5. Might be a carrier issue?

I have exactly the same issue. Only cure seems to be a reboot. Haven't seen a pattern as to how or when it happens.

Funny you should say that, I'm with three at the moment...
I have the same problem. Though I'm from Russia and my network provider has nothing to do with Three (if only they exchange their "expertise").
I had this with my Z3C. Also on Three but my Moto G and Nexus 5 are fine. I think Bluetooth might have something to do with it. In the end I sent my Z3C back for a refund as Sony were no help at all.

Wifi wont turn off

I noticed that after disabling/turning off Wifi, it still stays on and consumes battery, although Wifi icon shows switched off in notification and settings section. Restarting phone helps and WiFi finally switches off, however I do not want to restart phone every time when I want to switch off WiFi.
Does anyone have this problem and how ro resolve it?
My phone is in latest version on android 5.1.1 and on previous version I did not have such problems.
A factory reset might help
Sent from my MT27i using XDA mobile app
Thanks, but I would rather keep factory reset as a final option.
Any other suggestions?

Maybe wifi is configured to search for networks even if "turned off". Changing that might help

Sorry for silly question, how to configure WiFi to stop searching for network if it's turned off?
Thanks.
Go to settings - wifi - 3dot menu advanced.
