Thanks,
I will have to do a windy build, first I will have to get hold of the vendor libs etc, it will take some time. Let me see if I can but no promises. :good:

I am looking for a WIFI tester.
You need to have Fastboot experience. You must understand that you will need to wipe your device to test and able to load you device from scratch if something goes wrong.
I don't want to scare anybody but just want to make sure you understand the risk but hopefully it will be all good.

I'm actually testing the OP's 311 unofficial CM11 build, which seems to be working fine apart from GPS.

Please send me some logs, then I can investigate.
I do not own a windy I have the 3g/lte version, trying to see if I can help and resolve the GPS issue.

I added link to WiFi version.
Not working: GPS.
I need a logs to trace the error. Please post your logs for WiFi version. See second post of how to do that.
Note: I do not own a Windy just the 3g version, I would like and try an assist in finding the GPS issue but cannot without a tester willing to work with me in finding a solution. I hope I will be able to help.

I'll try to get you something a bit later. Just got home after a 12 hour shift at work - tired out :silly:
Still using your 311 ROM build for now, no problems - I don't really miss GPS.

Great to see this rom!

I'm really thinking about flashing CM on my pollux.
I could live without GPS for some time. What are the main differences between this builds and official CM builds?
Another question, if I do a full backup of my actual system, stock 4.4.2 sony firmware. Can I simply restore the backup to use the stock ROM again or do I have to do a normal flashing procedure?

If you do a backup it you can restore and it should work.
On Pollux (3g/lte) the GPS is working, it is not working on pollux_windy (wifi)
The difference from normal cm is that I have used the new vendor libs from 4.4.2, the official one is still using the vendor libs from 4.2.2. My aim is to submit this changes to cm, but before I do that I would like make sure everything is working, that is why I created this thread. I am also using a the kernel from 4.3 release and it was rebased to include the the changes upto 4.4.2.

okay great! I should try your build. What GAPPS do you recommend otherwise I would use BankS GAPPS.
The latest firmware from sony seems a bit laggy compared to 4.3. Is CM 4.4.3 yet published?
this build isn't up to date? As I saw the FreeXperia build wasn't it and your rebased kernel is inside?

I've downloaded cm11. Should I really use kernel from cm10 or it's a typo?
Followed the installation instructions but i get multiple system crashes. system, keyboard.... No homescreen and so on. Only thing i got working was the settings menu. Did i do something wrong or is there a fix for this? Went back to FXP246 10.2.....

Yes it's a typo, because i don't think that a cm10 kernel would work on cm11
When flashing the zip the kernel should be installed too, if you want though you can flash the kernel from the cm11 zip manually via fastboot.

Yes i installed just as it was written in the post. So i installed 4.4 gapps and i did not try without it cos i need it... Could it be that the gapps i downloaded got corrupted?
Hi all,
can anyone share his experiences with the ROM? Especially whats not working until now or which "hard" bugs exist.
I want to use it, but at least it should be more or less stable (no reboots or something similar) and the "standard" things like Calls, Wlan and the system itself (Calendar, Contacts, Phone App and so on) should work. Things like a perfect camera or video play back are from a low priority for me.
Thanks and best regards

Thanks. But i got it working. Downloaded gapps again and that worked. Activated ART and everything started to crasch... Then i found this...
Warning: Do not try ART with the Paranoid Android (or other AOSP) build right now. There is an incompatibility with the current gapps package that causes rapid crashing, making the interface unusable.
So i will wait until this "bug" is fixed before i do further testing.

Strange AOKP doesn't seem to have that problem. Then only thing that crashes is Whatsapp.

Actually championswimmer's version is much like AOSP. There is no AOKP options, so that's why there is no conflict.

Hey Guys,
This port is based of CyanogenMod 10 By Sir blearreaz0n. I have used his rom for fixing bugs and learning purposes. I have also compiled different fixes from different sources and also included my own fixes. This First build is a port so the Next build , i will build from source.
Pre-requisites:
*ClockworkMod Recovery https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B9B_MYcrSzXON1AxR3hDZmVacUE/edit
Installation (first time/new users):
*Flash and install the CWM recovery via ODIN
*Reboot into Recovery using 3-button-combo
*Do a Nandroid backup!
*Do a wipe data/factory reset
*Do a format /system partition
*Install the ROM from sdcard
*Reboot
Working:
*2D acceleration
*Lights
*Sensors
*Telephony - calling, messaging, mobiledata
*Touchscreen (multitouch)
*Bootanimation
*Themes
Not working:
*Audio
*Bluetooth
*Bluetooth tethering
*Camera
*USB Mass Storage
*USB tethering
*Wi-Fi Hotspot
*Camcorder
*OMX encoders/decoders
*EGL
*GPS
*Wi-Fi (partially)
Issues:
*Incorrect colors is caused by the (buggy EGL since the other BCM21654 devices have an official JellyBean update, implementing EGL from Ice Cream Sandwich is not working). I am working on it but for the time , use the theme attached in the attachments Thanks to HAKA Theme http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1951801
*The RIL is working thanks to Team Hurricane but since the audio is not working you can only use the messaging option http://team-hurricane.blogspot.com.br/2014/05/informacoes-cyanvision-cyanogenmod-101.html
*For performance i advice you to turn off all the animation and to enable 16 bit transparency
*Themes work but there are Incorrect colors (See first Issue)

You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread. Before reporting a bug, please make sure you are running as stock as possible. This means no custom kernel, no custom framework modification, etc. If you are using any of the above modifications, please flash the rom again to get rid of the modifications before reporting.
Report bugs on Jira at jira.cyanogenmod.org
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. The following is a useful format to follow. Note: If you can provide the latest night/build that the bug didn't exist, it would greatly help in tracking down what caused it.

Great work! I'll stay here until official 5.0 ota arrives. [emoji16]
Which superuser flashable zip should I use? The ones I used in KK don't work.

And the ROM is rock solid, congrats!
Awesomeness, grabbing it now and will run it through the paces.
@Somcom3X
great work man =D
Bugs that I saw:
Wifi Tether (mentioned on op)
CPU Clock on 1190 almost all the time when the screen is on
@Somcom3X Excellent release! Though I've encountered a few issues apart from the mentioned ones.
AOSP keyboard gesture swiping does not work
Power Off does not work
Notification sound does not work. Tried changing it a few times but none of which works. It vibrates though.
Notification LED doesn't work? I don't think it's working or how it's intended to work in 5.0 Lollipop, but Pulse Notification light is turned on (This seems to work for alarms though)
Random Settings force closes
Maps is not working -- I know it's totally unrelated but it could be GPS related as it just kept showing "Waiting for location..."
Some apps are left even after clearing all apps. ie: SuperSU requests, Contacts, app installs.
Volume rocker for Media Volume gets stuck at a certain point, though it's only a visual bug.
Crossed out stuff just suddenly worked. lol
Is it possible to get Busybox working on CM12 too? Can't find one that would install.
Using this as a daily driver until I find something that wouldn't let me.

I used this and it seems to be working fine. http://download.chainfire.eu/589/SuperSU/
I'm testing since you release the zip in the other thread (I was even about to suggest a new thread ).
I did a dirty flash from cm11, so, maybe some of my reports here are specific about doing dirty flash (just in case, remember to redo your lockscreen security, because the dirty flash made your lockscreen accept anything as password. Remaking the lockscreen security fix it).
* Stock camera doesn't work (shows image, but doesn't take photos, even after cleanup the application). Downloading the google camera or whatever other camera works (and it seems the camera bug from cm11 is gone).
* f2fs doesn't work, ext4 works but useless (you can't do anything, but the cm12 reads that there's a partition and with size, etc), exfat doesn't work either. The worse is: using any of the filesystems I said made you unable to even reformat de sdcard. Only fat works for me. Btw, I'm unable to copy from pc to sdcard.
Thanks
Downloading now. Thanks for posting, been waiting for a lollipop rom.
Edit:
Gps is working fine for me, camera works when it wants to, replaced the stock camera with a port from the apps section of this forum.. Google camera seems a bit more stable. Installed no frills cpu control and disabled safety valve and other apps being able to set frequency and I noticed while it still says min is 1.1 if you look at stats it will go to 300 like normal.
Guest Mode is enabled ?
settings crash sometimes, but it's working well
thanks for your great work
Hi. I'm so excited to install this, but I want to know if I'll be able to go back to KK if there is any problem
Thanks for all your hard work!
Great work man
Just out of curiosity, the thread name is "[ROM] unOfficial Cyanogenmod 12 4.4.4 for the Moto G 4G (Peregrine)".
CM12 is made after 5.0, not 4.4.4 - right?
Or am I misunderstanding what the 4.4.4 means?
Thanks!

This is CM12 5.0
Probably just a typo by SomCom3X.
Can confirm lack of GPS signal lock. Could be the same bug with CM11.2 where you need to get it just right with a previous signal lock on stock and then flash. Otherwise, running extremely smoothly. Latest SuperSU Beta 2.27 gives root without any big problems, restoring TiBu as we speak. Also can confirm lack of swipe in stock keyboard. SD Card access is working. Great work!
Getting a GPS lock before you flash cm12 worked for me. That should be step one from now on before flashing any ROM. Just in case ya know. So far everything's running great.

I've read it's an issue with quite a bit of Motorola devices. The stock GPS trick is the best thing possible to do at the moment.

thanks to all who made this possible supporting us
contributing with code, donations or even trusting us
thanks to SONY that made all this possible !
Nice to read that there are Developers for this device.
just a few questions... i've read that sony opens kernels, blobs etc for the recent phones - i never found those for the z3tc ? did i miss that? or could the sources of the different devices could be use to achive the cm12 port?
and the other important question... are there any bugs in this build? what works? what does not work?
is there a twrp build for the z3tc?
regards
we have enabled daily builds
if your device is not yet in the list will appear soon (1 day,1 week, 1 month) no ETA please
but you have to remember that is an early alpha build
Doesnt seem an answer for any questions I made.... didnt ask for an ETA either...
well... fine
Thank you for your efforts. Just bought the 32GB wifi tablet and not sure if I want start experiments with custom ROMs etc right out of the box, but would you kindly specify what does work and what doesn't in your build?
Cheers

I think that account is automated, for now at least.
This thread and the OP's posts are exactly the same as in the Xperia Z1 forum.
Hopefully once a first build is up and running, we will see some more attention from OP for questions.

I thought there was ROM in OP first, but then I realised that was just some kind of announcement.
And so we wait

Yeah, I had a look on their website but with the build server failure I'm not sure when we'll see a build, automated or not. I've asked Krabappel if he's got anywhere with his CM12 build but I think we'll face the same problems as the other members of the Z3 family; namely that until Sony release something official there will be blobs we're missing.
Merry Christmas!
Sorry, but what is the Z3 Tablet Compact codename: Pegasus or Scorpion? In two different places on FXP site those two names are mentioned.

Scorpion Windy for the Wifi version
Scorpion for the LTE version
This is according to the kernel sources by Sony which they have published on Github.

There is no FXP build but the unofficial CM12 build by Qzerno is working great:

This is the unofficial Build of CM12.1 for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 I705 VZW LTE version.
**IMPORTANT** I705VRBLL2 FW required,if you have taken the latest OTA, and were not already rooted/unlocked you will not be able to use this ROM.

Installation Instructions (These are all required)
ROOT and BOOTLOADER unlock required following the linked guides.
Flash THIS custom TWRP recovery with SELinux capabilities.
Download latest ALPHA from http://downloads.codefi.re/jrior001/cm/espressovzw.
Locate 5.1 Gapps via a quick Google search.
Wipe factory/data reset in recovery before installing CM12.1 (unless you are already on a CM12.1 build).
Reboot into recovery and install ROM and gapps.
Known Issues:
LTE radio - Acts up at times requiring a reboot. Causes wakelocks
GPS sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Reboot usually fixes it.
CAMERA - 720p recording fails, all other resolutions work well
USB wakelocks after removing USB cable, "USB Connected" pop-up doesn't go away.
OTG/keyboard dock doesn't work at all
Overall device is smooth and stable minus the above listed issues. I will continue to work on these but wanted to get some feedback on this so far as well. I'm open to assistance if anybody else has one of these and some talent and wants to help.
Huge thanks:
@invisiblek and the rest of the Samsung MSM8960 device maintainers, without there work to follow this would have never happened..
These build utilize the existing samsung 8960 device trees and the 3.4 d2 caf kernel hosted at CM github as well as the following:

I'm not as experienced as some others so this took 3 attempts I think...in between 3-4 month breaks to get the 3.4 kernel booting but I finally got it.
I've got GPS fixed and I'm close on USB. Its proper in windows I think but Linux connectivity is still giving me issues. I'll try to get a new build up in a few days with all that.
I my self am on linux. I use elementray os.
2/28 build is up now, GPS and USB should be proper. OTG/dock still not working but not a major concern for now.
The new update says 403 forbidden when trying to download?

No, I could likely make one though.
Use the did method outlined in the old recovery thread or cheat like I do and download "flashify" from market to flash recovery
This ROM is great. I installed peel ir remote app but it says this tab does not have ir blaster. It does have a ir blaster. Is that only a touchwiz app?

I doubt IR is working at all...that's on my list to test/debug.
USB is still a little wonky, the notifications never clear.

For those who have tried this ROM, can anyone confirm whether or not wireless data is working? I don't have a vzw account to test with.

I don't either. Or I would.
I can confirm that data is working. Thank you for breathing new life in this tablet
Edit. Had running for a full day and data works most of the time. A soft reboot fixes it though

If you wouldn't mind I'd like to see the logs when it craps out. I still have some hacks in place for debugging. When it acts up, reboot to recovery and grab the following:
/data/data/logcat.txt
/data/data/kmsg.text
/data/data/radio.txt
Oh and there is a newer recovery build and an updated build at the download link.
I'm dropping the "ALPHA" label at this point. Everything that should be working seems to be in order at this point and the builds are more than reasonably stable. I just uploaded a fresh build w/f2fs support on /data and /cache if anybody is interested in using that. Changing /data to f2fs will require a FULL factory reset and SDCARD wipe as sdcard is emulated on /data/media so be prepared to lose EVERYTHING. TWRP 2.8.5 is required if you wish to reformat anything as f2fs. Both are available at my codefire download link in the OP.
A few minor annoyances remain:
Charging is painfully slow.
USB OTG doesn't work at all.
Plugging USB to PC tends to create some nasty wakelocks.
LTE data is glitchy.
Keyboard dock support hasn't been brought in.
