Adding high fps on new ov4688 camera module? - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've looked the ov4688 datasheet on the new camera module htc put in my htc one to fix the purple issue.
http://www.ovt.com/download_document.php?type=sensor&sensorid=130
I've noticed it support:
- 2688x1520 @ 90fps
- 1920x1080 @ 120fps
- 1280x720 @ 180fps
- 672x380 @ 330fps
Does anyone know if exist a mod or an apk that can support these recording speeds?
Thank you

Also, you need to confirm if the Snapdragon 600 itself is capable of processing such data. Technically it should be, but i think the features should be added into the camera app, which is not done yet.
I asked this a long time ago, but nothing happened since.

[2017.08.02] DSLR Controller v1.05

In an effort to de-duplicate a lot of information, I have moved the bulk of it to the DSLR Controller website. This thread still remains the place to get support, discuss, and ask questions, though!
DSLR Controller was the first and remains the best app to fully control your Canon EOS DSLR from your Android device, through USB cable or Wi-Fi connection. No computer or laptop required, no root required, only a compatible mobile device, a compatible camera, and if connecting through USB, the right cable.
We strongly suggest you read up on the website ( http://dslrcontroller.com/ ) about what DSLR Controller can do, how it works, and how to use it, before purchasing. The website contains a wealth of information you should know before using.
Not all devices are compatible, especially if you want to use a USB connection. For a free app you can use to test compatibility, see the "Remote Release" app ( http://market.android.com/details?id=eu.chainfire.remoterelease ). If you need a refund, go to our website ( http://dslrcontroller.com/ ) and follow the instructions in the FAQ entry. We cannot process refunds through email.
Usage notes, feature lists, device compatibility lists, changelogs, FAQs, can all be found on our website: http://dslrcontroller.com/
Most questions should go to the support and discussion thread at XDA-Developers.com:

Supported Android devices:
If you are connecting using Wi-Fi, virtually all modern Android devices are supported (your camera needs Wi-Fi support, though). If you are connecting over USB, your device needs USB host support - most recent devices do. Please see the 'Devices' section on our website ( https://dslrcontroller.com/devices.php ) for further information.
If your camera only supports USB, you can modify a TL-MR3040 to provide a Wi-Fi connection ( http://dslrcontroller.com/guide-wifi_mr3040.php )

Thanks, so all those cameras will work? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Canon_EOS_DSLR_cameras
Some really nice updates in the beta! I have seen greater stability and manual mode is working much better!
For the first time, I have access to the AF button and can focus using those. That is a big step forward. I had it stop responding once, but after restarting, it worked great.
Question, not sure if this is a current limitation or if i am not doing something right. When I choose to magnify the image, it zooms in the rectangle box. Is there a way to move that box around the screen, like on the liveview of my camera when zooming?
didn't work
Hello,
I have Canon EOS D1000 and Notion Ink Adam running AdamComb 0.3 custom Honeycomb ROM. Software said that USB host mode not supported on my device, although it should be . Too bad, because I was very exited about this software Maybe my camera and device could be added to next update? And if I can be any help, I would be glad to do so.
I realy hope you make it work with nikon cameras, I have a nikon d60 so i would not get livewiev. but just to be able to remote triger would be nice plus reviewing the taken photo on the fly. right now the built in gallery in android works, it reconises the camera and shows me the pictures on it. But if i take a new shoot i have to exit out of the gallery to get it to show me the new photo.
Hello,
Got 10" Acer Iconia A500 tablet, Canon 50D. Could I connect my camera to an ordinary USB port this device has, and use your software?
Looks great, just what I have been looking for and I'll happily pay for it and test out on the Canon 450d but I can't find it on the market.
Edit: Ignore that I found it! Will test it out as soon as my USB Host cable arrives and report back.
super cool you guys made techcrunch http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Techcrunch/~3/GOsO-gx0eK0/
You continue to be one of my mobile developer heros!
Amazing!
I would love to have this, but I don't have a capable phone. Hopefully CM can gain the support and the Evo 3D can gain CM . I assume this will work on any EOS? If it works on the 550D I don't see why it wouldn't work on the 600D...
Saw it here...
http://cheesycam.com/control-dslr-with-usb-android/
this is great! Found it on Android Police I believe.
Is there a reason this beta is a paid app?
Also, do you think its possible to do something like this on a Nikon? I'm not asking you to do it (I mean, unless you wanted to), but just wondering if there's hope... my D80 may be too old for it anyway, but it'd be awesome either way.
Great work, congrats on this getting out to the public so quickly!
Is this only for cameras that support live view
I may be wrong but from the list of cameras supported so far, they are all new EOS models that have the live view feature. I suspect the application may not work with older EOS models. Has anyone got it to work with a 1D Mark2N?

MiraVision, ClearMotion & (more of 30FPS Now is possible!)

There are at least two very important things for me, and that would be an excellent improvement to the user experience of this phone.
The first is can use MiraVision. This is a great improvement to the image quality.
The software comes preinstalled !!! at least in the weekly version 5.11.26 and 5.12.3 ...
Now you can be activated, and it is magnificent !!! but the settings can not be saved.
When turning off the display, it returns to the default setting.
The second is be able to record video at normal speed, at least at 60FPS. Helio x10 can do that and much more, and the image sensor too, the software why not?
If we succeed in this, the phone would win many positive points.
Anyone wants help me?
Of course you can't save the settings, miui have a stock screen management

Well ... Now you can record video in HD at 60FPS (or more)
The solution is here
But we need help to make it work the "slow motion".
We need the name of the tag for this mode.
You know if it's possible to use clear motion in CM?
That feature is really amazing..

60 FPS camera
Simply MIUI lacks media_profiles.xml, that usually is included in every Android version in /system/etc
This file is read from multimedia apps in order to get phone's capabilities with camcorder.
If you insert that file in MIUI the stock camera app will read it and the camcorder fps drop will be bypassed. The camera will record at 60fps also in low light condition! Actually file works fine, in fact it will put the exposure at a low level in order to get best fps performance. But it isn't so optimized and the Spanish team is working on it. You can download the file from https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1jCoBYPR8eGbVVXZkM1V2VBdUk/view?usp=sharing
You have to set permission to 644 RW R R
Slow motion will not work for now. But it's great that at least we will have a perfect camera fps for now (720p 60fps and 1080p 46fps).
The question is, why if the hardware of our phone is so powerful Xiaomi made a rom that actually doesn't reflect this powerfulness??
For cyanogenmod we don't have anything right....?
Superb job!

Camera2 API on Moto G5S Plus

Has anyone tried enabling the Camera2 API on this device? Just found out that g5s plus doesn't have camera2 api, which pretty much sucks since this phone is able to use manual mode. I haven't tried it yet because my device isn't rooted and I don't have stock firmware (XT1805). For those who want to try, just make sure you are rooted and have a build.prop editor then add this line persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1. Give your feedback if it works.
Mine came with full Camera2 support out of the box. XT1806, US model.

I didn't had it but using custom ROM with beans gapps makes Google camera works partially on XT 1804 it didn't had API2 by default on stock ROM duh it sux that XT1806 got API2 enabled by default and other models doesn't

Kinda unfair of what Moto did.
When I took a test from Camera2 Probe app, it returned this result. I don't know if this means that my phone has Camera2 enabled, all I know is it's supposed to be "Full" instead of "Level 3"

No level 3 means the best it gives full and plus access to Camera 2 API but the problem is you can't find single application that supports this level of access through system library SD 625 got hexagon 500 too so basically if someone spend enough time on Google camera than he/she might be able to successfully port fully supported Google camera with slow mo upto 120 fps , RAW support and HDR+ too not sure about ZSL
And I saw all Moto g5s plus models supports camera2 but it's not enabled for some models while some have it enabled outta box

Wow, I have so much to learn. So that means that our only hope in taking better pictures is for moto to optimize the camera software? It's been a while since the last update of Camera Tuner, Moto Camera 2 was recently updated though.

Well I found this today it got few mods of Google camera which works on arm 32Bit too try the camera which says arm-arm64 only those will work with Moto g5s+

> normal one sux it got so much noise in pics no clear pics in short makes it feels like we r using some cheap camera

Thanks for posting that screen grab of Camera2 Probe app! I was going to open a thread asking about the Camera2 API support level of the G5S Plus when I came across this. I'm interested in pro video recording apps and an app like "Filmic Pro" needs the device to have either "Full" or "Level 3" support, otherwise you can't even install the app. From what I learned about the G5 Plus it only had "Legacy" support level (the worst) which was very unfortunate but judging from your screen shot of the G5S Plus, Motorola/Lenovo finally upped their game!
I think if in this level 3 is possible to increase more lens aperture.
Currently our G5S Plus have 3,2 secs, no more.
In G5 Plus, other dev put 30 secs with magisk module, take wonderful night pics.

for those who have filmic pro

1: Does s10 supports log v2 ?
2: How about autofocus, is it working correctly ?
3: Is it posible to use all three lenses ?
4: Does it have droped frames in extreeme quality ?
Thank you.
My first testing is horrible, tried all qualities:
4k 60fps (not working fine) -> 58.62fps, 58,26fps (the same even quality low)
4k 30fps (fine)
1080p 240fps (not working fine)-> 231,88fps, 228,77fps, 230,51fps
1080p 120fps (not working fine)-> 118 fps
Edit: You can shoot video in HDR+ which results in a flat profile, that can be graded in Premiere very heavily. First it looks completely overexposed, as soon as I check HDR in the lumetri effect in Premiere and bring the kurves down all highlights start coming back. Don't know what log v2 is...
None of the formerly awesome video/editing apps work correctly on the S10+ so far. Very irritating
Then at least there is hope it can be fixed on the Software Side later on... I hope next update will fix things. Of which Video Editing Apps are you talking? My first Samsung.
And back to your question, found this: reddit.com/r/galaxys10/comments/b4x57d/samsung_s10_zhiyun_smooth_4_filmic_pro_log/
I got the S10 plus Exynos and I get an ugly frame drop with Filmic Pro. Don't know what to do anymore.
Tele lens is not working..
Wide angle front and back is working pretty good
So now that it is 2020, have things gotten any better with Filmic and the S10+ ? thx.
Currently app supports 4K 24p Wide, and ultra Wide on S10+ Exynos, and 1080p on front camera. Video recording from front is wider than on stock cam. I'm noticing though issues with the sound - it's not working on internal mic, only at external but not always.

Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro video recording

I own a Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro. As you might be aware that it rocks Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. Please check out the specs of SD 855 on the web, if you don't know already.
The chip supports HDR10+ recording at the hardware level. While I understand that you need to have a supporting camera lens to record with that color gamut, I have found it to be disturbing that the metadata of the video recorded on the camera shows Rec.601 as the record profile with Y'Cb'Cr of 4:2:0.
I want to know whether is it possible to record on this device in Rec.2020 or at least Rec.709? Does anyone have any idea?
Additionally, the chip supports 802.11ax(which I guess uses 60GHz spectrum). How to check if the fone also supports WiFi connection in this band and the WPA3?
Wow, surprisingly not a lot of people are aware of this issue.
You cloud try FreeDcam from GitHub.
You'll have to change the profiles via profile editor.
I am able to record videos in Rec.2020 using the same app on Asus 8Z.
Check out the attached screenshot to see my settings to shoot video in 10bit Rec.2020
Though, utilising the same is a pain in post processing platform (Davinci Resolve), but I fortunately found a the correct way to transform the color space.
